Jersey Shore drama in Rancho Cucamonga? No thanks. Jersey Mike's Subs? Yes please! This east coast favorite just opened here, and has some pretty tasty subs. Stopped here for the first time today and tried the #7 (Turkey Breast & Provolone) Mike's way, minus the onions and the #20 (Grilled Pastrami Rueben). Both sandwiches were made fresh fresh to order. The meat and cheese were sliced when you order your sub and grilled to deliciousness. The pastrami on the Rueben was tasty, yet suprisingly very lean! The bread also puts these subs up a notch from other local sandwich shops. Also, the staff was very friendly...think Starbucks employees working in a sub shop. After hearing radio ads for this place for years, I finally had the opportunity to try Jersey Mike's (Famous since 1956!) yesterday. I had been hiking with a lady friend, and afterwards we decided we wanted sandwiches. Found Jersey Mike's on the iPhone Yelp App and we were on our way. I ordered the Classic Italian Sub "Mike's Way," and I thought that overall it was a bit dry. The meat was alright, fresh cut which was nice but not the tastiest ham or salami or pepperoni I've ever had. I ordered it on wheat bread, and it seemed to be some weird hybrid of white and wheat. Really, I should have does it "Mike's Way" plus mayo and mustard, I think I would have been happier. But I like wet sandwiches. My date had the Chipotle Cheesesteak, and I must say that was a bit better then what I ordered. The meat was tasty, and I felt it was a lot more flavorful then my Classic Italian. A Bit strange though if you think about it: a New Jersey-based sub place, making a Philadelphia favorite, with a Southwestern twist. Oh well, I guess if its good to you its good for you. If I were to go to Jersey Mike's again, that's probably what I would order. Of course, no guarantees I will go again, because it was alright, but not great. I prefer Togo's. read more

I love Jersey Mike's, and this one is near my house, so I frequently come here. They have AMAZING subs, get the oils if you come here because they are so so yummy. Everytime I come here I get the tuna sandwich (I know, odd choice for a sandwich joint, but trust me, it's delicious) and this is The Best tuna I have ever had the pleasure of tasting! The woman who took my order was so nice and she gave me a huge discount and she also gave me free chicken and pastrami for my dog! So awesome! I love this place! read more

To sum it up in two words... Fresh and Delicious! I have switched from Subway to Jersey Mike's for the freshness not only of the bread but the meats and cheese. Customer service was great, friendly and helpful. Tried the Turkey with Provolone, I believe it was a number 7, very tasty especially when done "Mike's Way". Served with lettuce, tomato, salt & pepper, with dressing. If you're looking for a quick snack, then try out a mini sub for around $5. Or if you're really hungry, then go for the Giant. The Giant will give you enough for leftovers later or fill your tummy in one sitting. Great place! Give it a try... Can't wait to go back and try out the Philly Cheesesteak! read more

This location is okay minus their customer service... I do love Jersey Mike's being that I am from New Jersey and I love a good sub sandwich... Let me tell you about my last visit.... I walk in and this man takes my order and says she will be right with you(nos I'm just standing here waiting for this girl to come finish my sub) this customer walks in who is a guy and this girl immediately start talking to him and says oh blah blah blah the regular so she makes his sub.. While I'm still standing there waiting for her to finish my sub.. She rings him out and he goes on his merry way while I'm still standing there waiting for her to finish my sub... Do we see a problem here because i do.where is customer's service? just because he is a regular and probably comes every day does not mean you ignore me who is standing there waiting for you to finish my order... I've eaten at about 10 different Jersey Mike's locations probably around 30 times and the quality of the food has been spot-on consistent on the one and only thing I've ever ordered: "The Big Kahuna" (with chipotle mayo) By FAR the best Cheese Steak Sandwich I've EVER had- period. I always want to try a different sandwich, but I never pull the trigger because the Kahuna is SOOOOO damned awesome! My wife has tried one of the cold cut sandwiches and she thought it was good, but she especially loved the bread. read more

I went to the new La Verne location and the food was really good, but man the service was sooooo slowwwww... Plus the AC wasn't working and I really hate sweating and starving at the same time. lol I loved the Original Italian #13 and the Super Sub #5 made "mike's way." Although, they need to take it easy with the oil and vinegar. I love that they cut the meat fresh with one of those fancy meat-slicer thingies AND they don't use filler! Take notes subway! I'm sorry to say that Jersey Mike's wasn't even on my radar until I saw a show about the owner who bought the original Mike's sandwich shop when he was only 17 and grew it to over 600 locations. We stopped in last week to pick up a quick dinner and they sure have the formula down for a delicious sandwich with a better variety of Italian cold cuts than the other sandwich chains. I'm sorry that other people have mentioned poor service in their reviews, because the service when we went in was great. They greeted us when we walked in, they didn't hurry us in deciding what we wanted, and they put the sandwiches together quickly. I went with "The Original Italian" with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuola, salami and pepperoni. The meats were delicious, and the oil and vinegar sealed the deal. I was worried that the bread would be soggy by the time we got home with the sandwiches, but it wasn't the case at all. My wife got the Club Sub which comes with turkey, ham, provolone, and bacon. Both subs were delicious and I liked their bread much better than Subway or Quiznos. It felt "fresher" but maybe it's psychosomatic because they slice the meats in front of you! Jersey Mike's is a little trek for us, but when we're on this side of town, it's a go-to for a delicious and quick sandwich. read more

Im tottally a sucker for a proper sandwich. whether it be healthy on wheat, meatball on white or anything inbetween, I love sandwiches. Rewind a few weeks back. Im watchig a new reality show on Food Netowrk called "giving you the buisness" and they featured Jersey Mikes subs. Im not gonna go into the premise of the show, you can research that for yourself. But during one part, there is an older gentlemen demanding that he get a sub made that looks EXACTLY like the picture on the menu. What happened, the JM team made him a sub that loooked BETTER than the one on the menu...I immediatley hopped on Yelp to find my closest Jersey Mikes and was on my way. If you love fresh tasting deli subs, this is the place! I decided to try this place out, not knowing to much about it, and I am glad I did. The meat and cheese is cut fresh right as you order (So it's not sitting around getting slimy, like some other places.) The employees are friendly, and helpful if your not sure what to order. The only downside is the wait time. I went there once at 2pm, and was there for almost 35 mins. (There were about 15 people ahead of me, and I ordered hot subs, which take some time to make). I will tell you this place is worth the wait, you have to try it at least once! read more

Sandwiches are pretty darn good. First time there I got the #8 (I forgot what it was called or what was in it) which I was told was a common one to get and not only was it big (I got a regular) but it was delicious. I usually go for a juicier sandwich, so usually I would like a lot of sauces/condiments but at jersey mikes if you get it "mikes way" they sprinkle spices and splash a bunch of splashy stuff and the sandwich comes out just right (in my taste): not dry, juicy and flavorful. The second visit I got a California club which was delicious and my bf got a California chicken cheese steak...? It's a hot sandwich. Anyway, they added avocado to it and it came out looking good and tasting even better. Employees were a little weird but they were pretty helpful with sandwich selections. The only downside I would say is that adding on chips and a drink is almost $3...it's kind of a lot seeing as how one regular sandwich can be around $8-10. I had seen this company featured on some Food or Travel Channel show and was amazed we had a local Jersey Mike's sub...so I had to try it out. I got the turkey breast provolone, which I find is the true test of a good sub. Nothing else accentuates the conglomeration of different textures and tastes as a turkey sub. How I break down my sub criterion: The bread: Yummy! Soft and totally not "commercial" tasting like Subway, Blimpie, Gandolfos and Quiznos. The only comparable bread in the area would be that of The Deli. The cuts: Nice and fresh. a nice thinly-sliced deli cut, piled heavy The accessories: Simple really is better. Getting it "Mike's Way" is the way to go. Oil, vinegar, lettuce, tomato and onions. Nice and simple. So delicious I didnt realize it had no mayo and I surely didn't miss it! Yes the price is a little steep and it can be quite a while before you actually get your sandwich. The plus is everything is cut fresh. From the bread to the meats and cheeses, you're going here for quality not anything else. Since they are freshly sliced using a deli slicer, prepare for a lofty wait. My boss and I headed there around 11:30 to beat the lunch crowd and made it 5 minutes before the place got super crowded. I saw a few people with mailer coupons, so be on the lookout in your local newspaper or snail mail junk pile. You're bound to find something to help ease the pocketbook pain of your first sandwich. I think that's how they get you. Once you try one, you're forced to come and try the others. I'm in search of the best tasting sub in Rancho and so far, The Deli and Jersey Mike's is the best I've come to find. read more

I will say this, if this was soley based on the service at Jersey Mikes, it would get 1 star. The service at this facility is terrible!!! Lack of orginization, prep or something is seriously wrong as there are always 4-5 people behind the counter but nothing gets done. It took me close to 20 minutes to get my two sandwiches. I was offered a free cookie for the wait. Nice gesture but the cookie was terrible. It fell apart and was very doughy. Also, the sandwiches are a bit over priced. Now for the good. The sandwiches are REALLY good!! I had the The Big Kahuna with extra onions and peppers and it was very tasty and the bread stayed together and was as good as i hoped for. My daughter got the Vegitarian Wrap in a spinach tortilla. It was excelllent! Fresh and very tasty. So, the bottom line is do not expect a five minute wait for your sandwich's. Especially if they are the hot variety. If the service ever got better this would get five stars. read more
