When we got to the window, our primary order was root beer floats. The same order taker that took our money gave us our order. He was still very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The first thing I noted is they use soft serve ice cream now with the root beer floats and some of you reading. This are probably saying come on grandpa hand scooped ice cream went out years ago. I'm happy to report the root beer floats were very good even with the soft serve ice cream. The grandkids love them. We love them and we will be stopping more often as we drive down. If you're ever coming from big Bear, we're going to big Bear and you get into Mentone I think it is, I highly recommend just stopping to A&W grab yourself something to eat and one of the famous root beer floats.

The rest was OK, but not great. Overall - Red Robin, Famous Dave's and Applebee's easily win over Shake Shack. THE BOTTOM LINE: We would have happily paid $60 for the food. The problem being that, if you're going to charge premium costs, you had better "bring it" with the food. Mind you: right next door is Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ, Amoi Mok Mok, J Riley and the Redlands Public Market - all of whom have better food for lower prices. With average ratings of 3.5 across the board in all locations, I just don't see Shake Shack keeping up with the competition - but this is merely a personal observation. Sorry - just being honest.

I've been going to this Jersey Mikes for almost 7 years and have always been happy with the food and service...until recently. Lately this one location has gone downhill. I just noticed that all the one-star reviews on yelp are very recent reviews - in the last 4 months. First off...the security person that drives around this complex in a golf cart walks around Jersey Mikes like she owns the place. Hanging out in the back - talking to the employees while they are working lunch time rush. Today I ordered my usual sandwich online. When I went to pick it up it was not made the way I asked. I asked for oil & vinegar, light spicy mustard, and pickles on the side. I did not get any oil & vinegar, pickles, or spicy mustard. I went back to the counter and was completely ignored for 3 - 4 minutes. Finally, I had to interrupt an employee named Paulette (my lunch is only 30 minutes). I told her that I asked for oil & vinegar and spicy mustard. She stated it had oil & vinegar (it most certainly DID NOT!!) and that they did not have spicy mustard (it is a choice you can pick when ordering online). Instead of telling me when I picked up my sandwich "sorry, we do not have spicy mustard" they just didn't put it on. So, I asked her for regular mustard. She drenched my sandwich with soooo much mustard and such a bad attitude that when she was done, I said, "excuse me for bothering you" and the customer standing behind me was shaking his head regarding her attitude. I took my sandwich - tried to eat it but ended up throwing it all away. I will not be returning to this place ever again. If you have a craving for Jersey Mikes - skip this location....go to the one in Riverside off Adams St. They are extremely nice in there - nothing like the employees at this place!!!!! read more

I first started going to Jersey mike's when I got a free sub for going to an Angels game where they got 10 runs. An employee suggested the cali club and now that's what I get every time. Today I was greeted by Jodi who made my sandwich. She was very friendly and asked me how my day was. I just finished my wrap and it was amazing like always! Jodi & Christine told me about signing my email up for a free wrap on my birthday which is tomorrow. I have always gotten texts for special deals but I didn't know about the emails so they helped me sign up. This is my favorite jersey mike's location, I always have world class customer service here with friendly employees come here, it's fresh and delicious! I tried to order a party box over the phone but the employee said they didnt know how and would have the manager call me back but never got a call, had to go into the store to order it. This place just opened and decided to try it after I heard my friend went. I went last weekend and I got a vegetarian sandwich for my husband who is vegetarian and to my surprise there was meat in it. The other sandwich I tried was very bland. I requested a refund at that time as well due to the attitude of the employee on the phone. At the time, I did not realize the woman on the phone was the same person I dealt with today. I asked for a receipt confirming the refund, but she refused to provide anything, including her name, even though she claimed to be the manager. I asked for her name so I could reference her if there was an issue with my refund. She does not look taller than 5ft, Hispanic/Latin, with unnatural red hair. I left with no guarantee of my refund. Managers exact words were "you got your refund last time, you will this time" I have now filed a complaint with Subway and am looking for the franchise owner information to escalate further. I will not be returning here. I may only be one customer, but I will be sure to share this experience with my dozen of coworkers who normally go to this location and others in the community.
