They were very busy and I was still able to walk in and get two sandwiches and leave relatively quickly. First time trying Jersey Mike's and I'm glad I tried! Ordered an online pickup which was very easy and straightforward (tip: they usually have a few coupon codes you can find online too). My sandwiches were ready on time but I still had to wait in line to talk to the staff. I think a separate area for pickup customers would be more efficient but it wasn't a big deal. The sandwiches itself were really good! Ordered the Italian Mike's Way and the Big Kahuna with chicken. Both were great and the Italian was a real highlight. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and I really recommend getting any sandwich Mike's way if the option is available. A great spot for lunch. Good food, poor service. This location is closest to me and I do enjoy the food. The issue I have is the unfriendly employees. Each time I come, there are different workers but the lack of friendliness is consistent. There is very rarely a welcome when I step in. The first interaction is, "What can I get you?" Today, I was the unintentional cause of confusion on my sandwich and another customer's. I was quick to apologize for the mix up but it seemed to really affect the two ladies behind the counter. We had a large order, over $300. We had one of our office staff pick it up. They have her bag the drinks, chips and cookies. They tell her they are out of portobello mushrooms for one of the sandwiches, so they don't even make the sandwich, give an alternative or a refund! My office staff didn't notice until she got back that they didn't pack the sandwich. We call the number provided 951-776-2494 and it won't let us speak to an actual person for help. i ordered for delivery for a sub in a tub and a brownie and they forgot my brownie and didn't bring utensils. i called to tell them they forgot my brownie and the girl on the phone asked me if i wanted to either go pick up the brownie or get a refund so i said i wanted a refund. she then tells me they're "really busy" and that she'll try to refund me so i was like okay. and then she said again that they're really busy and that i called at a bad time and if i wanted to just go pick it up. i said no i don't want to pick it up because why would i order delivery and pay a delivery fee just to go drive to pick up a brownie? and i did say it nicely so she didn't think i was being mean but she then seemed to get upset lol cuz she just said she'll try to refund me and hung up all fast. i have 2 kids under 2. im not dealing with getting them in & out of the car for a brownie lol. read more

It's been awhile since I have gone in & ordered here. Stopped in after a busy day of running errands with my 5year old. Staff were very welcoming. I ordered 3 regular subs. One plain (Turkey, lettuce & provolone) & 2 Italians. He started to cut the bread for the regular size sandwiches & it just seemed way too small. I asked if I can get the next size up & he was so nice & told me next size up was giant & showed me the size of bread. I agreed to 3 giant .. figured that would be dinner & extra for lunch tomorrow if we didn't finish them. By the way , "Giant" doesn't look THAT giant lol to me it looked just like a regular footlong from subway. I didn't make them meals .. just the 3 giants by themselves & a soda totaled out to a little over $70. (I tipped around $8) . I didn't think anything at the moment because my daughter was hungry, getting impatient & we still had a long drive till we got home, so I paid & hustled out the door. Husband wanted Jersey mikes,again, about 3 days later & it reminded me to call and ask if they charged me for 3 meals because my total didn't seem right for just 3 sandwiches & a soda. FYI a giant sub (I think it's just a footlong, don't quote me) giant sandwich start at $20.00. To add a drink & chips is another $5.00 or so. $70 .. my lazy ass could have bought all the ingredients, bought a bulk pack of chips & 12pk of soda and stilllllll have money left. Their food is delicious! Customer service is awesome! It was my fault for not reading the menu & prices well enough to understand that I was about to pay $20 PER sandwich. I'm still blown away that I paid that much for 3 sub sandwiches if I wasn't tired from running errands all day with an impatient, tired & hungry 5 year old .. no way would I have paid that much for fast food. Food was very fresh and very good. Prices are good, you get what you paid for. We all got combos as well as my son. They do have kid meals which is very convenient. I absolutely wouldn't recommend the Jersey Mikes on Alessandro in Riverside. We had a horrible experience there. We have two accounts with them, and we used to order from them all the time, spending a lot of money. When Door Dash delivered our order, it was still perfectly sealed. However, when we received our order, we were missing a sandwich. I called Jersey Mikes, and the manager said that they were too busy to help us, that I needed to call back. When they hadnt called back a half hour later, I called again. Finally, I spoke with the manager and he told me that he couldn't refund my money or deliver another sandwich, because he thought that Door Dash probably stole my sandwich. Door Dash always refers me back to Jersey Mikes, so now I have no recourse and the JM manager was not in the least bit sympathetic. I have nothing to eat for lunch AND Im out my money. Not enough staff! Every other Jersey Mike's is fully staffed. This one is always understaffed, 12-15 people waiting 20 minutes to have a sandwich made. It is peak lunch time 11:45am and two people making sandwiches and ringing people up- including the online / cater order pick ups. That is unfair to customers and the employees. The food was fine, the employees are courteous but the management needs to do better and not make us customers wait 20 minutes to ordered a single sandwich. **I received the response from restaurant, although they offered no resolution or improvements for service, just an excuse. FINALLY Jersey Mike's Subs comes to Riverside, but this location is actually pretty close to Moreno Valley. The original Italian cold sub on white bread is my absolute favorite. It comes with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni. I recently tried a tuna sub at this location, and I have to say that it was one of the best tuna subs I've ever had. Tuna is freshly made on premises. I get my sub done Mike's Way... onions, tomatoes, shredded lettuce... And I also request PEPERONCINI, JALAPENOS, and these other little red peppers they have on the side. In addition, I have them add EXTRA olive oil blend, EXTRA red wine vinegar, and extra spices. I actually make these people work it :P All of the above makes for one KICK-BUTT SUB :) Everything is SO very FRESH - bread, veggies, meat, cheese... the meat is sliced fresh upon ordering. The regular sub does not come cheap (over $7), but it is a pretty good size for a hearty lunch or dinner, if you are not splitting! Ask for a Jersey Mikes club card. It will add up to a free sandwich after one too many sandwiches. Hey, that's still better than nothing! I still think Jersey Mike's Subs go beyond Subway's "eat fresh". read more

I went to this location on their opening day and have been back several times. The employees are great, I always feel like I'm being treated special, and the food is high quality and fresh. That being said, I am not just okay paying nearly 3 times the cost ($13 for a foot-long vs. 3 foot-longs for $14) vs. Subway with the following exceptions. I like a Philly cheese steak every once in a while, and they use actual thinly sliced raw steak here, grill it fresh and you can taste the difference. Subway, I believe, uses something like Steak-Ums that they microwave and scrape onto a bun, so I will pay extra for a cheese steak here. I also like roast beef, and Jersey Mike's cooks the roast in house to a perfect medium rare, then they slice it fresh and pile it high. Subway has pre-sliced and overcooked roast beef. I still like the variety of breads and condiments at Subway over the more limited choices at Jersey Mike's. Other than the two exceptions above, I'm not willing to pay extra for ham or other pre-packaged meats just because they are sliced in front of me. I see them do that at the grocery store all the time, so I'm not impressed. The higher price is warranted for the fresh grilled steak and the freshly cooked roast beef, so when that's what I'm in the mood for, I go to Jersey Mike's. But when I want something like ham or salami, it's just as good at Subway and the cost is significantly less. That's fine though, they can share me. read more

Up until two years ago, my husband and I had never been to a Jersey Mikes, but when we moved to the Mission Grove area, we thought we'd give this location a try. It quickly became our favorite sandwich place and we now visit 1-2 times per week. The employees are always good to us and remember our order, which is not expected by my husband and me, but shows that they pay attention. They are great at making small talk with us while they make our sandwich. The bread, cheese and veggies are noticeably fresh and we truly enjoy our food every time we come.
