Four stars for great, fun service and a tasty sub. The gentleman behind the counter provided small samples of their meats, which were very tasty. We got oil on our sub and he went a bit far with that (but what do you do when you ask for oil?). When we visited, they had just opened, so everything was new and clean. The sub (we split the largest size) was massive and meaty. If you sign up on their website, you can get a free regular sub (I think, I haven't tried that yet). Good luck trying to customize your sandwich. Employees are practically brain-washed to only make it "Mike's Way." Also, their tomatoes are a joke - most places would throw away the tomatoes they put on their sandwiches. The only reason they're still in business is because the next closest location is in Folsom (go there instead). And if you think ordering online would fix these problems, guess again. We have been eating here since they opened in Rocklin, we always enjoyed our food, we went in yesterday for dinner and got the worst service we've ever received there. The guy taking our order was so rude, and kept asking us over and over what our order was... After telling him 4 times we got our food, we order two regular size sandwiches... We received a regular and a mini... When we went back to ask for the right size the guy who made our sandwiches began to argue with us... The sizes were so beyond obviously different! One was way smaller than the other... He wouldn't take it back and fix it, he was so rude. We paid for two regular sandwiches and weren't given what we paid for. We will not be back due to the lack of management at this store. The food is great but the service is terrible. So sad. read more

I usually come here to pick up my delivery and there's never really an issue until today. I ordered one sandwich, and came to pick it up but they haven't done my order yet when it says specifically when it'll be done. I wait for my order and 6 other people came and got their food before me??? I wait 20 min and asked the worker when my food is ready, it was already done but no one had the profession to notify when my food was already done. This is my favorite jersey mikes location. My 3 year old picks jersey mikes every time we ask her where she wants to go out to eat. I also have frequent business lunches and meetings in the afternoon when it's not so busy. The staff is always friendly and sandwiches are the best. Order the Cali Club next time you're in. Our subs from here were really good! I have not been able to have a true sub from a sandwich shop because of gluten intolerance. They have udis brand sub bread! I was so excited! They were even kind and knowledgeable enough to ask if the bread was for preference or allergy. Funny enough, I have not had that much bread in so long I was not able to finish it in one sitting. We found out the manager on duty ended up quitting within a few days and was checked out mentally - hence the bad service we received initially upon writing this review. The sandwiches were amazing. The customer service gets a -1 out of 5. I haven't had that bad of customer service in a LONG time. My husband and I were having an afternoon date - we were going to grab a sandwich and then do the Hidden Falls hike (first date in 4 months and we had a babysitter for 3 hours). We arrived 3/30/19 at about 3 pm. We walked inside and were happy we didn't see anyone in front of us so it could be quick. We weren't greeted. The first thing the blonde haired girl said to us with an attitude was "I have to make 25 sandwiches - it's going to be a while." Mind you there were 2 other workers standing there and she didn't reference that they could maybe help out? I responded a bit taken back "Can't you just make one sandwich?" (we were ordering literally one giant sandwich and splitting it). She sighed a bit and said ok and yelled to someone to make it. Someone came from the back and started making it. The lady gets done and hands us a regular sized sandwich. We said that we ordered the largest size they had. So they had to make a second regular sized sandwich to make it the same size. On top of it, they handed it to us wrapped, so they didn't ask if we wanted any additional toppings. Nor did they ask us what type of bread we wanted. It took 30 minutes for us to get one sandwich. At one point, I reminded them we were on a time crunch since we had babysitters. They barely looked up or addressed my frustration which was even more frustrating. No, "I'm so sorry that we messed up on everything, etc." I've worked in customer service before and if you mess up, you do everything you can to make it right. It was terrible service. I almost asked for a refund right there, but once again, we were on a time crunch and didn't have time to drive to another place. Okay sandwich, not a cut above. Ordered a #13 on white and it was delivered on a crunchy dried cheese topped roll. Meat was good but the juice was more oil than vinegar as noted by the leak through on to the table top. Bought in to the TV commercial and was a bit disappointed. read more

Super Great deli Subs. We were excited to see the Philly Cheese stake on the menu so we asked if any good. We were pleased to hear that the two people behind the counter said they were amazing, best place around since this side of Jersey. Ordered chicken philly with added pickles and oil and vinegar. Got sub with no pickles, no oil or vinegar. They wrote down the order as I told them, what happened, it is so difficult? Also cheese looked to be put into sub afterwards like you would see on cold sub, I thought philly sub the cheese should be grilled with the meat? I would give them a one star but I love Jersey Mike's (typically go to the Fairfield and Vacaville location-excellent customer service). I've been to the Rocklin location a few times but the service has been disappointing in the past (unfriendly staff). I decided to try giving them one more chance on Monday (5/6). Once again, highly disappointing. I asked for Mike's way no tomatoes or onions but the girl making my sandwich starts adding onions. So I politely told her again no onions. She scrapes the onions off in disgust then starts adding tomatoes. Then I tell her again no tomatoes. She takes the tomatoes off and acts like I'm inconveniencing her. After finishing my sandwich she just stormed off to the back of the store. I understand you probably hate your job by your body language and attitude. If you don't like making sandwiches find something you like. It's not fair to yourself or the owner of the establishment. We've all had jobs we don't like but be happy you're working. I really want to like this place but a new staff or customer service training are necessary. read more

I'm not a fan of Togo's but I would say these subs are on par with the ones at Togo's. My son and I ate an early lunch there yesterday after we finished our shopping at Walmart. We arrived at 10:05 am just after opening. This was our first time there. Three employees were behind the counter, and only customers, a lady and young son sitting at a table. The tables were dirty as was the floor. It appeared they hadn't been cleaned from the day before. The table we sat at by the wall in front of the register had a major slant and needs repair. Tables should be cleaned after closing, and or before opening and periodically as customers exit. No excuse for dirty floor at opening. I didn't enjoy my food wondering about the cleanliness of the grill, kitchen area and drink machines. We will not be returning. read more

My wife an I have been coming here since the place has opened. We likely average 3-4 times a month. They have good subs, but are on the pricier side for their larges. You do tend to get what you pay for at least in terms of quality. The staff has normally been good but lately I'm very disappointed in the lack of service around closing time. Now I understand it sucks to have customers come in 10-15 minutes before you close, but you are either open or you are not. To tell a customer you are out of an item when the truth is you just put it away and don't want to get it back out is basically just lying to the customer (Previous visit). Or on tonight's visit telling us that your manager turned the grill off, because you turn the grill off 30 minutes before you close (another lie), is poor service at best. If I come in to a business before they close, and leave before they close, I expect to be able to get full service during that time. Hopefully the franchise owner will be able to clarify the menu items available 30 minutes before they close. I'm not sure why it is necessary to start cleaning up before you are actually closed. read more

Ernesto had a giant smile on his face the whole time I was there, greeted everyone who walked in and said goodbye to everyone who walked out. Jersey Mike's is by far one of my fav sandwich spots and I'd probably visit more often if there was a location en route from home and work. Even then I have gone out of my way more than a couple times to stop by for a sub. My favorite is the Turkey and provolone #7 served Mike's way. The sandwiches are flavorful with their addition of oregano, oil & vinegar and more flavorful than most other sandwich joints in the area. This place does not deserve 5 stars, however, because they have been out of items on more than one visit. On one of my earlier visits, they did not have any Turkey so I was forced to get another type of meat. On another visit, they did not have their traditional white bread made so i had to opt for the rosemary-parm bread. Finally, I feel that the quantity of meat is reduced each time I go. Having visited another local sub shop this week validated that my last couple subs at Jersey Mike's could have used more meat. read more

Super good subs. Deli cut meat, cut as you order (nice touch). They douse the thing in oil, vinegar, and what looks to be too much seasoning...but it's perfect.
