One of my employees had informed me that she went in and believed that this JMS location, that we had used A LOT previously to order large lunch orders for all our weekly office staff meetings, was under new management and had new employees working at it, so I decided to stop in and check that information out for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find out she was not only correct, which is very exciting for not only my staff, who has been missing JMS for our Lunch meetings for several months, but also myself. Here is what I found out and why my staff and myself are so excited about this change and what it means. When I walked up to the tables & chairs I immediately could tell already there had been changes made, because they were clean, as they should be. A older couple were getting up to leave, and a young man was right there taking their trash, thanking them for coming, and he then cleaned the table and chairs. The main reason I stopped using JMS catering for my office, was for months I had ordered with no problems, everything was great, then, a very rude female manager who would take the order, but then she would either continually not make it correctly, or make it late, sometimes so late, customers we invited had to leave because they couldn't wait etc. The last order I said enough is enough I couldn't believe she even served use what she did. When I took them back in to show what was actually provided, I also couldn't believe the way she spoke to another employee who was working. It was seemed as though she was trying to put blame onto that employee who in reality wasn't even there when it took place. Fast forward to now.... When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and spotless the entire place was. The food case was BEAUTIFUL, it didn't have onion dropped in tomato's, or pickles dropped in lettuce, or mayo everywhere, the cutting boards weren't yellow & brown, everything was clean, white, wiped down, and the way it should be. When it was my turn I was actually greeted with HELLO, how are you today on this beautiful day?" I got to meet two gentleman, which I asked about the new manager, the one young man said the new manager's name is Jacob, and he is " awesome" to work for as well. He introduced us to Jacob and he does seem like an "awesome" guy! Jacob, we thank you because we once loved our JMS spot and we were very disappointed in how things went with previous management, but after seeing what has been accomplished already in such a short time we are excited to bring our business back!!! We have already been back in on 4 different occasions to order and our Sandwiches, have been the best, the staff is great and kind, so we are so super excited! THANK YOU! We highly recommend that if you too stopped going to this location previously because of the old management I encourage you to give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!! read more

This location is a mess. The staff don't know how to coordinate who is doing what so the wait times are long. They are unsanitary. The staff will hop off the line go to the register and not wash their hands prior to putting gloves back on and helping the line. They just throw the ingredients on the sandwiches sloppy. And all of the left over droppings of toppings they will scrape and put back into the buckets. Staff is nice which is why I gave a 2 star but they need a lot of training. Whoever have these people their food handlers card should be fired. read more

I decided to give this location another try since a co-worker convinced us it's 1000% turned around & the new manager Jacob was great and I should ask for him. I thought I would get a sub while placing my lunch catering order for later in the week. When I walked in I was confused and disappointed to see absolutely no change, Infact it was worse than when I was in previously. The place was a reck, it looked like a tornado passed through, lettuce, pickles, topping all over work area, several boxes, bread and meat sitting out on the counter. The one person working was clearly so overwhelmed went from touching bread, to touching meat, making sandwiches, then working the register, then going on to make the next sandwich, with same gloves. I still had three other people in front of me, but decided to ask for the new manager Jacob I had been told about, in hopes to get someone else to help. This location has better prices and customer service . I had a coupon and went to another location but they wouldn't honor so we left and went to this location instead. Jesus or Chuey was friendly and gave excellent customer service. I come from a service background so I know good service when I see it. One of my subs came with onions which my child didn't like. I asked if we could have one without onions. Chuey apologized and made another one and also offered a cookie for my son. That was nice even though we said no thanks to the cookie. If you come here ask for Chuey he's got really good customer service skills. read more

My review is 5 stars for the excellent service at this Jersey Mike's. I frequent the Jersey Mike's in Santee, so when I went to place an online order, the app picked up I was in the vicinity of this store and I accidentally ordered there. I drove to Santee to retireve my order which wasn't there. I looked on the app and found out I had placed it in the wrong location 15 minutes away. I didn't have time to drive all the way back so I called and spoke to Sofia. She was so sweet and understanding. She told me she could refund me and not to worry. She called back a few minutes later telling me she couldn't refund me because I used points but not to worry, just come in and she'll do it in person. I went in the next day and spoke with Braden. I told him that I just wanted the salads I had originally ordered. He knew of my order and said no problem! He made the salads no hassle. I appreciate not being punished for ordering at the wrong location, and having friendly folks to interact with. We love the salads at Jersey Mike's and this is just another reason to go back. This store always delivers with a mediocre sandwich, abnormally long wait times, and rude remarks from the workers making your sandwich. I've never been to a place where I was consistently over waiting, over paying and then on top of that had the workers act rude towards you most of the tim. Typically JM's are my go to sandwich spot. I took a lunch order here today and although the service was friendly the sandwich was drenched in oil to an extent where it literally dripped oil out as soon as the wrapping was taken off. The excess oil was a bit ridiculous as it got through the wrapping on all over my desk. I believe I had to wipe for a good minute to clean my desk area along with a few hand washings to get everything in order again. The sandwich makers need to lay off the heavy hand of oil. SERVICE: Compared to my first experience at a different franchise (located on Governor Dr.), this location had decent service. This place is bigger and had three people working at the time. The two workers who attended to me were very friendly. My one criticism would be a misunderstanding of my order. I asked for wheat bread for both subs, but the worker mistakenly used the rosemary parmesan bread instead. FOOD: I ordered a Turkey and Provolone sub, but this time prepared Mike's Way, and a Grilled Portabella Mushroom & Swiss sub. The Turkey and Provolone was a bit on the salty side, and my dad preferred the way we ordered it the first time -- just with lettuce as a topping and adding a blue cheese dip at home. The Grilled Portabella Mushroom & Swiss sub was okay but a bit bland. There was nothing special about this sub. CLEANLINESS: I was very happy to see that all the workers in this shop were masked, unlike those working at the shop on Governor Dr. I would make the same complaint, however, about them placing the bread directly on the counter first instead of on a paper wrap as they prep the sub. ~*~*~*~*~*~ What I liked about this store in general was the friendliness of the staff and the adherence to wearing masks indoors (especially with preparing food). It was my first time trying Jersey Mike's last week and I've seen been twice (different locations though). A coupon was sent to me in the mail so I thought I might as well try it out. I grew up eating Subway and we didn't have a Jersey Mike's in my hometown so this was a first for me. I came in after work around 4:30pm and there were two people ahead of me, and LORD HAVE MERCY ON US... this dude ordered like 15 sandwiches, I don't know why they didn't call in ahead of time for an order like that.. We had to wait a while but we were eventually helped. I usually order the Spicy Italian from Subway and I saw that they have something similar here called the Original Italian. I guess the main difference here is that their meat and cheese is fresh, it pretty much looks like a butcher shop behind the counter and they slice your meat right before your eyes. But, this location is the first Jersey Mike's that I've seen participating in a very ugly trend : Hitting up the customers right out loud in public to donate their change to some type of worthy cause? Which of course goes right into some easily accessed box on the counter for all the employees to help themselves to it . If I want to donate money to Children's Hospital the homeless or the crippled children of Ethiopia I'm perfectly capable of finding out where to do just that . I did an online order for the first time and did two sub in a tubs and one giant sub. I requested extra lettuce on the tubs because they're salads and paid extra for extra meat. I got barely any lettuce and regular meat. Won't be going to this location again. I called to let them know and they offered if I drove back to make it again but that's the last thing I want to do.
