So this happened a few months ago and I've really tried to keep my cool about it but it honestly just bothers me. I have a service dog. Whenever I go into quick food places this this one, I carry him so people don't get uncomfortable while their eating. I walked in here to order food to take to go and I believe the manager ? He was older and possibly Hispanic looking.. I'm not sure. He asked me if my dog was a service animal and I said yes. He asked me to prove it which I don't have to do. I told him I don't have my paperwork on me because I just ran out to get a sandwich and go back home. He then asked me to leave. Super upsetting and embarrassing to be honest. I would have been really quick but he stopped refused to service me due to what felt like my special assistance. I tried, I really tried. I have tried coming here at different times of the day, different days, different seasons, nothing seems to work. I feel bad for leaving this review due to the owner is such a nice guy but the workers are just plain rude. I really feel that "rude" is an understatement. I went in yesterday ( 7/29/13) and there was just myself and another guy waiting for his hot sub. The girl, this middle eastern girl, did not get her name because she barely acknowledged me and turned around maybe once to address me. She didn't say hi, didn't as how I was, just continued with the hot sub. I didn't mind much at this point I was just hungry. She then turned around and said snarkly "What do you want?" I stated I wanted a regular ham and cheese on white with American. She snapped with "It doesn't come with American!" I let her know I wanted American and it hasn't been a problem. She got the cheese and put it on and literally threw the cheese and ham on the dead looking bread and left it there while she went back to the hot sub. When she returned to my sand which, she asked if I wanted it Mikes Way and I said no, and it became rude and computerized. Her response after each item I said was rushing me saying "What else. what else. what else. what else. what else." not letting me even take a breath in between items. I asked to "put as much lettuce as she can put on it" her response was " This is how much comes on it." Uhmm.....No.....I want a lot of lettuce....whats the problem? After she globbed on Mayo and mustard, she left my sub sitting there as I watched the top piece of bread slowly slide off the top because of how much mayo was on it. UGH.... She went to the guy in front of me and asked him if he had paid.... obviously not if you're the only worker up there..... whatever. When it FINALLY came time for me to pay, I gave her my Point card thing, and she scanned it. Normally, the thing to say to the customer is " Hey you have enough points to get this sub for free would you like to use them today?" NOPE. She gave me the $10 total. I let her know I wanted to use the points and she snapped saying "Oh you want to use your points?!" I said yes with a confused look because its like why would I bring it up if I didn't want to use them. She this is when it got bad. She snapped raised her voice saying "Well I need to know if you want to use the points because I am not going to just use your points if you don't tell me to use them for your stuff. So you want to use it now I have to ask!?" When I looked at her and said "yes..." she scoffed at me and banged on the computer more. After all this I went up to the owner/manager and let him know everything that just happened. He said to let him know if the sub is bad. I don't even want to go back to complain. I will not be back and there is a reason why I drive an extra 10 miles to Northridge or 5 miles to Chatsworth. I really feel bad, but this place need more workers that actually care about keeping their job. read more

$14.87 at a fast food place. And I didn't bring a guest. And I didn't get the combo meal either. Well, now that I've scared off the cheapskates let me tell you about Jersey Mikes. I have been coming for close to 2 years. It is always clean, they have a couple of flat screens tuned to various sports channels. I was in on Wednesday morning and was watching a replay of the Colts-Jaguars from the previous Sunday. And I had an incredibly good sandwich (see photo section). I ordered a Big Kahuna which is #56 on the menu. (Not to imply they have 56 different items, the menu has about 12 or 15 choices) Quirky numbering aside, it may be the best chain sandwich out there. It is a chess steak, albeit not like you would find in Philly. The meet was a higher quality and they had provolone cheese instead of whiz as well as a softer bun. it comes with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and Jalapeños. Not traditional for an east coaster, but certainly a nice blend of veggies fir a carnivore like me. Parking is easy, the waits are short. Paul the franchisee has put together a super friendly staff. If a large sandwich and drink was in the 10,00 ballpark, I might eat here twice a week rather than every couple of months. The sandwich and a large Diet Pepsi and came to 14.87. And since these guys earn their tips, it is 16.00 a person. Almost triple what i would spend at Mickey D's or Gag in the Bag. I love the sandwiches here, all the ingredients taste fresh and it's a quick in and out for lunch. It's very easy and convenient to order online and pickup. The location is okay, although the parking lot is small and space is limited due to the other businesses in the center. The cold subs all come with the basics: lettuce, tomato, onion, red wine vinegar and oregano. You can add avocado and mayo (great addition to any sub). Before I even could place my full order I received attitude from the shorter young lady that worked on Saturday June 29th at 11:08am. I love Jersey mikes and I've never have any issues. It is one of my favorite sandwich places. I was driving down Ventura trying to decide what I wanted to eat and I saw the glorious "Jersey Mikes" sign. Yipppieeee and I was even more excited that it was parking right at the door. The quicker I can get to my sandwich. There is a parking lot connected to the plaza which is always a plus when trying to find parking in LA. I walked into a very clean store and quickly spotted my favorite chips, the Maui onion, which I can only seem to find at Jersey Mikes and Chop Shop. Among those chips there were plenty of other options as well. I approached the counter and immediately was asked what can she get me. No recommendations were given. I normally get the #7, Turkey and Provolone Mike's Way, my absolute favorite! She asked what bread and I replied with wheat. There was a regular piece of wheat bread that was already sitting on the counter next to the carving machine. Again I eat at Jersey mikes allllllll the time so I'm very familiar with the items sold there. The piece that was already sitting there was burnt and I replied that I would like another. She responded with a snappy attitude "well this is how they all look so.." Verses just searching for another piece on the lighter side the immediate attitude of a response was not necessary. That quickly turned me off from dining at this store because I noticed the value of my order. So I left instead of spending my money at a store where a simple request of quality and presentation turned into an unnecessary issue. I will not be returning! Stopped by with my boyfriend after he got off of work to grab some lunch didn't appreciate the way I was yelled at when Trying to place my order due to the fact that the server with dark curly hair and glasses couldn't hear me over my mask that wasn't much of an issue but the biggest issue for me was when my boyfriend was paying he decided to use some of his tip money from work and that same server with the curly hair and glasses decided to make a comment pretty much insinuating that my boyfriend was broke even though my boyfriend was tipping them with that money I think that that guy specifically you should straight up he fired his customer service was trash the food is fine at this location I just think that they need to hire a better staff read more

Me and my coworkers placed an order for pick up. One of the sandwiches came out it's a hair on it, we called Jersey Mike's had a leave a message explaining what happened which was fine, got a call back and couldn't pick up the phone as I was working, returned the call and no one knew what was going on so I had to then leave a message again and I have yet to get a call back from the "manager" or anyone who cares to apologize for the mishap and lunch that was not eaten due to fact. I just ordered the turkey sub for lunch. I open up the sandwich, and my first thought was, "This is a big effin sandwich!" Then my second thought was, "Shit, that's a lot of shredded, soggy iceberg." New owners of this store take note, There's a reason the one on Ventura has always done more business than this store. This is an update to my previous review...... The owner, James, called me and rectified the situation. He was nice and apologized for the behavior of his employees. I really appreciate the great customer service that he showed towards me. Thank you! -------------------------------------------------- I frequent this establish often and also order online to pick up , as I work near by, but now I will never step foot in this establishment. I ordered two subs, one hot and one cold, online for pick up. The hot sub was correct in how it was prepared. The other one was not....... I ordered a #7, Turkey and Provolone , Onions, Lettuce, Red Wine Vinegar, Olive Oil Blend, Oregano, Salt, No Cheese, Dill Pickles, Wheat Bread, No Cheese and added in the comment section: "Please add Ham. I would like Half Ham and Half Turkey." I have ordered this way online before and in person, and never had a problem. When I arrived home and opened the sandwich all I received was a sandwich with ham on one side and turkey on the other, with a few pickle slices..... That is it, bread and meat. I called them up and they pass me to a manager named, Sam, who is one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. He said, "They did not see any of the things I asked for, except adding ham and pickles". He then stated,"They are not allowed to mix meat together, and could get in trouble for adding the ham. I stated, "That I have ordered this exact sandwich multiple times and have never had an issue. He replied that other stores may do that but they can not...... I then said, "No, I have only ordered online and in person in this location, with this exact order and never had a problem" I then said, "the email that confirms my order had everything I asked for". He had no idea about an sort of emails that are sent to customers. He then says, "That all the employees don't know what to do with those orders but he does"...... I stated, "Ok then you need to educate them and tell them, because I just received a sandwich with bread and meat, and a few little pickle slices".....He responds with, "I need to go I have customers"..... I said, "I am customer, as well" and he says," They are looking at me, I need to go, give me your name and number and the owner will call you"..... I gave him my name and number, and was beginning to tell him I was bringing the sandwich back and he hung up on me as I was speaking. The manager refused to accept accountability for this error and blamed me. I know that it was just an $8.25 sandwich but for me it is the principle and how Sam, the manager, spoke to me and handled this situation, is completely unprofessional. I have yet to hear from the owner but once I do I will revise this review. I also will be contacting the corporate offices as I am upset about how I was treated. OMG...has to be the worst Jersey Mikes on the planet. Go to another location...run far away this place. The staff on August 24 at 10:30am was rude and the food was horrible. Had to throw it away. I ordered the Big Kahuna sandwich, it had....no joke 2 handfuls of Jalapeños inside. I tried to complain but no one at that store seems to care, they really need new staff and ownership there. Honestly! i should have jsut gone to subway...foot long for 5 bucks. So i went to Jersey Mikes even after reading the reviews on how bad it was and still i went... i had to taste for myself..mistake? Uh yeah! I ordered the sub club with chipotle mayo( which tastes like NOTHING at all!) Anywho when it came time to pay for my $8 dollar sandwich i had noticed the bacon was missing..i should have just let them forget it. When i finally got back to my office and took my first bite with the bacon no less i wanted to spit it out...im almost pretty sure that bacon had been sitting out since tuesday of last week...oh gosh the memories are now haunting me bleghh i can still taste it... Good location but the downside of all Jersey Mike's is they only serve Pepsi and no Coca Cola products. Service was great but the tables could have been wiped of crumbs. Ever since I discovered how "healthy" subway is I began stopping by Jersey Mike's for my sub fix. First plus, is that they freshly cut your deli cuts for your sandwiches. Love it! Second, all the staff is really nice and witty which makes your stop a great experience I typically order The #7, turkey and provolone Mikes way and I add jalepenos. It's great! $10 Jersey Mikes Sub, I expected a magnificent monster sized sub sandwich extravaganza. "NOT". The sandwich was dressed "Mike's way" lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, oil, vinegar, oregano, salt, pepper. The flavor was just "okay" with provolone, ham, proscuittini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. The problem was they were skimpy on the meat. Thin sliced meat has great flavor and texture, but usually you get shortchanged by inexperienced Deli folks (school Kids) or cheapskates. I didn't see or anything special about Jersey Mikes other than a lot of school kids making a lot of noise behind the counter.
