One of the best meals I have had in South LA or LA proper in quite some time. The Sitis original chicken, is superb. It's baked chicken with a beautifully crisp skin- stuffed with seasoned rice. They are probably making some of the best hummus in LA right now. It's creamy, flavorful not overpowered with Tahini and the texture is velvet. The toum is very delicious, it pairs exceptionally well with the homemade pitas that they provide with each meal. Had the eggplant and cauliflower sides which I could probably eat almost every day. I only complaint is line situation. Was almost passed up twice while I was clearly standing in line because the workers seemed a bit frazzled about what tasks they were doing behind the window. The owner / manager was outside tending to some issues then he was inside and seemed to be kind of hovering over their shoulders which probably caused a little bit of frustration for some of the workers. They may need to reorganize the line or revisit each person's tasks on a given shift. They seem pretty busy both with call in orders and in person orders so organizing the behind the scenes might assist with productivity as well as staff feeling confident about their role. I was excited to see a Palestinian chicken place. When I walked in there was only one person waiting for their food so I thought perfect I missed the dinner rush but the service was still absolutely terrible. The cook taking the order just looked up and said "what do you want?" Like he was doing me a favor by serving me. The girl handling the cash at the counter was no better. She scoffed at my companion for being confused and slightly mispronouncing the name of her dish. I was even further disappointed when I got my food. My chicken was greasy and way too salty, the pita bread was stale, the humus was bland, and the rice was overcooked. Overall the whole experience was disappointing. read more

Where do I start. My mother and I loved everything. The lemon garlic chicken over the rice with the juice from the chicken so flavorful. The beans and potatoes delicious. Cauliflower fritters!!!!!!! This is my new favorite place. So many options the mint lemonade perfect for this summer weather. And that fact that they carry Brothers Products which has the best verities of hummus. Wow! Hidden gem! I had no idea this place existed until today when I looked up Eater LA and saw that it had been recommended. Plus I had the day off to go check it out. The employees here were friendly and genuinely warm and welcoming. They let me sample a few items and helped me to customize my order. Everything I ate was delicious and savory. And it tasted clean and healthy also. Not heavy. The portions are generous so my husband and I shared several items including the Siti stuffed chicken which IS A MUST HAVE--the stuffing of rice and mushrooms was amazing! I enjoyed the cauliflower fritter and hummus (I got half regular and half spicy hummus) as my sides, and then an extra side of cauliflower salad and yogurt with dill and lemon. Let me start by saying the hummus and spicy hummus are some of the best I've had. I ordered the lemon and garlic chicken and found it to be really unappetizing. The rice was sticky, gelatinous and super oily. The amount of chicken was minuscule sitting on top of this wet mound of rice. I'm not sure if I just got a bad dish but I could not detect lemon nor garlic. The chicken was not quality meat on any level. I eat a lot of middle eastern food and found this to be just not good. Chicken was very dry. Lemon & garlic chicken had no garlic flavor. It was bland like they forgot to add any spices. The cauliflower and eggplant were overcooked. The pilaf was very salty. Maybe this where all the salt went because it was not in the chicken. The pilaf was also very sour because it tasted like the juice of a whole lemon was squeezed on it. The chicken had incredible flavor and stayed juicy inside. Their pistachio baklava was also an unexpected treat.

I understand that this is a new business. I also understand that mistakes can happen. But when the mistakes can't be reconciled and no effort is made, especially with a NEW BUSINESS then I feel like there is a problem. I honestly don't know if the food is freshly prepared here, but this meal wasn't the blue ribbon award I thought it might be. I grew up on Mediterranean food and this by far doesn't match it at all. I'm sorry to say.... this wasn't hitting the taste pallet for me. Not only that but, my order was wrong. And that goes back to not reconciling the mistake. No one answered any questions. Repeat calls made. And hang ups every time. Customer service was less than mediocre at best. Asked for a manager to no avail. That needs to be addressed. There is also a language barrier. Nevertheless I don't think I'll eat here again unless someone else spends their money because at this point they need to step it up. I'll check back in the future. read more
