I just got the pizza it was supposed to take close to 90 minutes it got here and 30 minutes. With all the reviews about not exactly as ordered pizzas that I read after I placed the order I was concerned. The pizza was good exactly as ordered and as I said delivery was expeditious. The thing was that was wrong was with GrubHub who I called and let them know the phone number on the order was wrong. They told me they would put the right phone number in upon calling them and evidently it didn't get to the driver because he came up saying it was the wrong phone number and quiet to his credit he was a bit miffed but very gracious so I have nothing to say against jet Pizza but GrubHub will never get my call or order again that's my two cents. read more

I actually really enjoyed their pizza. So much so that I got delivery from here twice in three days- Yum! The first time I ever ordered from Jet's the pizza came in 45 minutes ( I timed it.) I was very happy! Got a large, square, 1/2 cheddar pizza. The cheddar was mixed in with the mozzarella and was absolutely delectable. The turbo sticks are nothing short of amazing. They could honestly be a meal all in themselves. The flavor is delicious and the pizza sauce is very hearty- I was COMPLETELY satisfied. The delivery charge is very cheap, less than $3.00, and their online ordering gave me no problems at all. The food is well-priced too. I got an X-Lg pizza for only $15.00. I probably got 3 meals out of it! The buffalo wings aren't half bad either, but they could be crispier. The second time I ordered delivery it took a little bit longer, about an hour and fifteen minutes. The only reason I took off one star was because they gave me a really weird cheddar pizza the second time around. Instead of mixing the cheeses together, they sort of dribbled the cheddar on top. Tasted good but looked totally nasty. Overall Jet's is a total hit. I am not from the Midwest so I have never heard of this chain before- therefore, I don't consider it a chain. Honestly god bless the poor third party delivery drivers that put up with the antics of this place. Absolute mayhem. I made the mistake of ordering for pickup- just a simple medium cheese pizza. I arrived 30 minutes after ordering and waited in the lobby for 40 minutes. 12 furious delivery drivers all waiting for pick ups. Staff could care less. They ask you for the name on your order and tell you it isn't ready without checking on status or even verifying that the order has been received. If you ask again they get angry. This is an update... happy to write it, as Eric and Clay have come in and they are improving the reputation of this Jet's store. It's nice to know that Jet's takes their product seriously, and they sent in help from Michigan. I gave delivery another shot just over a week ago, and I had no issues. It was a Friday at 11am, so I imagine they weren't as busy as a Saturday night when we have had issues in the past. My antipasto salad was so good that day, and my small deep dish pizza hit the spot. My order came in under an hour with a friendly delivery driver. When we order soon on a busy weekend night, I look forward to coming back and changing this to 5 stars. We had a sample of Jett's while trick or treating by Blaine and thought it was so good we wanted to order one. Last night we ordered a pizza. It came with 8 pieces and it was $45 after a $5 delivery tip. We are still sticker shock that a single one topping, 8 piece pizza would be so expensive but after we ate it we all had really bad stomach aches. It was drenched in butter. I received a message from the new GM Eric wanting to make right what had been so very very wrong with this Jets location. I was super hesitant to even give it a shot, but picking up my own pizza from the river north location was a huge pain in my ace so i figured it was worth a try. I spoke with Clay the manager and explained the previous issues we had had. He reassured me that him and Eric were really cleaning house and trying to get this location up to par. I have to say - they are doing a pretty good job. I've noticed a huge difference even in the attitude of the people who answer the phones. So, I called Jet's more than an hour after ordering online, and asked for an update on my order. Some girl said the driver had just left two minutes ago. I was polite, and at no point critical of the unexpected delay. Half an hour later, the food came. With it, inside a stapled white paper bag, was a goddamn beetle (photo attached). I called in today as there was an issue with billing on my order. I had placed the order not knowing that my coupon was a pick up only, as I was out of town when I ordered it for my husband, I just knew we had a free pizza. So upon ordering I was told that the coupon would be applied once the coupon reached back to the office. Long story short the general manager Eddie is by far the best general manager I have ever spoke with at ANY establishment. I was a previous assistant manager for a company and never have I ever met such a polite and understanding man as he was. Nothing too crazy here. It's cheap chain pizza. The nice thing is it always tastes freshly made. I stopped by and grabbed one slice of pepperoni. It's pan pizza to the likes of Pizza Hut. The crust is soft and airy. The cheese is stretchy and lacks flavor like a lot of super processed cheeses. The sauce is just ok of the savory variety. They're definitely still working out the kinks here but overall super solid. Like other reviewers have said, they send out a ton of flyers in our neighboorhood for their products. When you call/attempt to order one of the deals, the employees act like you just asked them to solve a math equation. I ordered recently and the girl on the end of the phone said "uhhhhhh......" for almost a whole minute until she said "okay is that all?". Would love for the employees to be on the same page for the deals they offer. Other then that - staff is friendly and the food is always fast. We decided to order from Jet's tonight, for the first time. Before we placed the order the delivery time was stated to be just after 6:30pm. once the order was place the time changed to 7:20. We cancelled the order, we needed to eat earlier than than. The person on the phone was very nice, but now our money won't be credited to our account for 24 to 48 hours and we were not offered any enter choices to pick up the order ourselves. I'm from Michigan and have enjoyed Jets for many years. I've ordered from this location a couple of times. The food has tasted fine, but unfortunately tonight's pizza included a baked in bug that looked awfully similar to a small roach. A couple of years ago my apartment was plagued with roaches, so I am, unfortunately, quite familiar with how they look. Upon discovering that there was a bug nestled in the slice of pizza I had been enjoying, I called Jets. I rarely complain, but a bug in my pizza is pretty much where I draw the line. All jets would do was offer to send me another pizza. Unfortunately, I really wasn't in the mood for another pizza after almost biting into a bug, but apparently a reimbursement wasn't an option. The manager didn't really seem to believe my complaint either, suggesting at one point that pizza toppings can sometimes look like bugs and that if a new pizza was baked, the delivery man bringing it would have to verify that there was actually a bug in my pizza. I explained that there were clearly six legs and antennae and that I had taken a picture. I would think photographic evidence would have been enough. I will continue to frequent the michigan Jets locations when I go back for visits, but it will be a while before I go back to this location. This is a counter-service chain from Michigan, but it seems like 70 percent of people in Chicago are from Michigan. They're surrounding us, they're surrounding us! Someone from Michigan living in Chicago introduced me to this pizza and it was all over at the moment I took my first bite. I thought it would be another bland pizza chain but it was not. Not. It's more like a delicious buttery crispy but soft crust that could very well take over your life. It's square pizza, so think crispy and thick sort of like Pequod's, but better. The deep dish crust is outstanding. It's not like Chicago style deep dish, but more of a Domino's deep dish or even a Pizza Hut pan style (I haven't had either one in years and years so if they've changed it since 2001, my comparison is null). The crust is perfectly crispy and balanced with softness. They serve individual slices all day and the slices are thick but small. You can walk in and purchase a slice every day if you want. No, I haven't done this, ever. It is just an idea for you. Hahaha. They have a pretty extensive menu with lots of fun pizzas like BBQ chicken, buffalo chicken, pineapple, etc. Kinda over priced, maybe, but oh well. Life is overpriced. It's so good. I've only ever had pepperoni quite honestly. If it aint' broke, don't fix it. The pizza bread is great. Because it's buttery hot bread smothered with cheese. Enough said. I've had delivery a few times and it was always fine. It may take a while but I've gone in the store and they're usually always busy no matter when I go in so it makes sense why delivery could take a while (if it does). Service is always friendly. So, I'm updating my original review... I've always been a fan of jets. I grew up in Detroit, so this pizza was apart of my childhood. Always delicious. And I was fairly excited when I heard they were bringing it to Chicago. Now, the pizza's good pizza. That's undeniable. But, where they really shine... is their customer service. You see, I had a few of bad experiences with this summer. Nothing outrageous (okay, one was outrageous... we had 4 pizzas delivered upside down. But, I blame that on the driver. lol) and completely understandable when starting a new pizza that already has an overwhelming demand before they even opened up. There are so many of us Detroit-born who remembered this deliciousness back home. My friends were counting down the days til opening. But, they had a few issues getting going and unfortunately I was victim of a few of these. I too read about Jet's in the Redeye (two separate days!). I figured with all this hype and their running out of dough on days because they sold so much, I had to give it a try. I ordered a small Hawaiian during lunchtime for delivery. The girl on the phone was nice enough to point out a coupon that could be applied to my order. It arrived via a friendly delivery person, right within the time window they promised. The pizza really is as the article I read described. The dough reminds me of Pizza Hut (but better). They cook it so it's a little burnty on the edges, but it makes it so yummy caramelized. This Hawaiian in particular was incredible. It had generous amounts of thickly sliced ham (also slightly burnty and oh so good), cheese, pineapple and bacon. Yummy! I will definitely be ordering from them again! read more

I've been daydreaming about Jet's since I checked out the menu. And boy, did it not disappoint. We got the 8 corner pizza... the crust is honestly the best part of this beast. It's buttery, it's light, the corners are perfectly crisp (a little burnt, in a good way). Deliciouso. Seriously. This review applies to my delivery experience. Remember that old adage "Good things are worth waiting for?" Such is Jets. It's a start up here in Chicago which, without a doubt, is the best pan you are going to find within greater Lakeview. (not to mention the city proper) My overall experience with them (3rd order) has been this: mismanaged, overloaded, fantastic pizza. If you want it fast, you probably won't get a perfect product. If you are willing to let the anticipation build, you can't go wrong. It reminds me of pizza as it was during the "book-it" days. Do you remember that? After living in Detroit for a year. What up Corktown. I became addicted to Detroit style pizza. I loved when people from work would order Jet's for a meeting and leave the leftover as a free for all. The pizza was so good and a welcome change from the usual Little Caesars! Upon moving to Chicago, I missed everything about Detroit and found out that Jet's was expanding to the Chicagoland area. I drove out the Schaumburg location before one opened in Skokie and finally there is one close by in Lakeview! One of my favorite things about Detroit style is the crust. I love the crispy caramelized crust! Jet's also has a huge selection of different toppings. One of my favorites is the BBQ chicken pizza. So good! I always pick my pizza up, so I haven't had any of the delivery problems other reviewers have mentioned. I generally do not put a lot of faith in Michiganders (mainly transplants) because most of them do not know how to drive properly, say stupid things like "Sparty On!", and are just, well, different. Oh, they also talk a lot about Jet's Pizza, too. Finally, something they got right. Thursday night was my second attempt at ordering Jet's; I tried Wednesday, but the "45 to an hour-45" time window left a bit too much grey area for someone who was starving. When I called Thursday for my order and spoke with Yoli (sp? sweet as a peach) and she told me the window was 60-75 minutes, that worked. Funny how phrasing something differently is such a game-changer. Per Michigander recommendations, I went with the 8 Corner pizza, half pepperoni, half sausage, and an order of Jet's bread. The crust was thicker than expected - two pieces and I was pretty full. The outer crust similar to that of Pequod's. The sauce was sweeter than my liking, but a few spices from my cabinet created a combination that hit the spot. For a side, I got the Jet's bread done original style and it was a fan favorite among the household. I would venture to say the best cheesy bread I have had so far. I am unsure the difference between this and the triple cheese turbo stix, since you can get garlic butter on the side, but they're a buck cheaper, so nom away, biiiiiitchez. Echoing Jeff S., those of you driving down the rating for this place because you were dumb enough to order on SuperBowl Sunday, you should be ashamed, and give Jet's another chance. I understand that technical things like this happen, but have the decency to call those 20 people. An hour later and still no pizza. When i called, they said they had closed the store for the night. Jet's Chicago just opened. Anyone having issues with long waits on deliveries, running out of items, or people being slow on the phone should relax and let the business settle in. When they first opened every Detroiter in the hood was calling to place an order so of course they were going to run out of items and have long waits on delivery. Also, if you're complaining about the size of the pizza - have you eaten it? It's so filling you don't need an enormous pizza to be full. 2 of us ordered a small and a Jet Bread and had leftovers.. and we can throw down on some pizza. As for customer service, I had a great experience with the lovely lady who greeted me and checked my order before handing it off and taking my duckets. My carry out last ready in 15 mins on a Sunday evening. Feels like home inside. I have had MANY Jets Pizza's and they are just as delicious here in Chicago as they are back home in Michigan. Downloaded yelp just to review jets pizza. I ordered a BLT pizza no tomatoes. The pizza came out with no bacon, no cheese, a pathetic amount of lettuce and an abudance of tomatoes. When I was dome picking off the tomatoes I was left with an obscene amount of mayo and a few limp scattered pieces of lettuce. I had it on good, trusted authority (read: Jacob J) that this place was seriously good pizza...and he noted a while back that a Jets had arrived in a near N Chicago Suburb but I just never got up that way. Now I see a Jet's lands at Ashland, just S of Diversey....exciting, ect, etc. 5 star surprise and while enjoying Jet's it almost occurred to me that this was a poor man's version of Pequod's. But they are anything but...they are pure quality in ingredients and taste. Absolutely loved the Slice and a pop for $5 at lunch. For me, pan pizza is a great cross over from the thin crust (every version/region for me) I normally get and the deep dish I get merely a few times a year.
