Not too long ago, I found that Jet's is one of very few pizza places my kiddo (allergy monster) can actually eat pizza - I normally make pizza because mine is pretty good...buuuuttt.... Ordered a Eugene pizza and chicken wings during the great Hinsdale blizzard of '24. The freezing temps and gale force winds (maybe just strong breeze) made gooey, yummy pizza sound like the perfect dinner. Let me start with the bad. DO NOT order the chicken wings, unless your idea of good wings is rubbery chicken skin that reminds me of those limp rubber chickens used in 1950 comedy acts. Honestly the hot wings lived up to their name with the heat accumulating with each bite so that I knew the next day wouldn't feel quite as, um, "regular" as normal, but if heat is your thing, Jet's wings didn't disappoint. But I just couldn't get over that texture disaster. I was trying to determine if having them delivered might have been a cause, but as someone who has fried up a wing or two in my day, easily dismissed that thought. So for the good, I absolutely loved the Eugene Supreme! It was the perfect mix of thick deep dish, with tons of toppings that played well off each other, but without the heaviness usually associated with legit Chicago Deep Dish. I thought this place would serve industrial pizza like little Caesar's or places like that, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza is damn good, and reasonably priced. I got the 8 piece Detroit style and the 16" NY style as well. Also got a large salad. Everything was outstanding. The Detroit style consists of 8 end pieces, so as my daughter says, they all have handles to pick it up, the sauce is flavorful, the cheese is gooey good, the crust is crusty the clown good (hey hey), and the toppings (I got pepperoni) was nice and tasty. The NY style is also very good, and warms up nicely the next day in the oven. Big portions and cut into triangles. The salad was okay but very big. This is another place that's basically take out only. It's small, but it's quick and very efficient. They offer a lot of coupons so the price on the menu is less than you'll probably pay with all the various discounts you can find. I do recommend this place. I ordered wings, breadsticks, and a deep dish pizza with turbo crust. The wings tasted funny, as did the the blue cheese I got with it. Turns out the blue cheese was expired for over a month. I called the Jet's to let them know and they told me I was wrong...like I just don't know how to read numbers or I was making it up or something. Not cool Jet's, not cool at all. My stomach did end up going through a roller coaster ride, but to be honest I think it had less to do with the expired blue cheese and funny tasting chicken wings, and more to do with the greasiness of the pizza. The cheesy breadsticks tasted pretty dang good, and the pizza was ok. It reminded me of an old pizza hut deep dish. It was really greasy. All in all the experience was pretty bad. read more

NEW OWNER, NEW PROBLEMS Made an online order on Friday, February 12th 2021 for deliver. Delivery driver happened to get into an accident so my order was not fulfilled. Spoke to the manager who stated she would "cancel the ticket" which would issue a refund to my credit card in a few days and if it didn't to check back in a week. Called back today and found out the store was under new ownership. When speaking to the new owner he was extremely adamant that he "acquired the store, not the problems." He was also adamant that I go out of my way to dispute the charge instead of resolving the issue himself because he thought it wasn't his problem to solve. He then proceeded to call me stupid and dumb when I said I wouldn't go out of my own way to dispute a charge since I was promised it would be handled on their end. Throughout the entire phone call, the man was argumentative, spoke over me while I was speaking and had poor listening, communicating and comprehension skills. Towards the end I explained that I would be contacted Jet's Corporate with the issue and he kept saying "I don't care". I asked for his name and information since he didn't state it in the beginning, but he kept saying no. As a Michigander from the city where Jet's was founded, all I can say is this store puts the Jet's name to shame. The owner is clearly only concerned with personal benefits and doing the absolute least while reaping the benefits of owning a Jet's franchise. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING EATING AT JET'S PIZZA, CHOOSE A DIFFERENT LOCATION WHOSE OWNER WILL CATER TO THE CUSTOMER INSTEAD OF CATER TO THEMSELVES. Baby pan pan 2.0! 8 corner crust pan pizza with turbo crust is the way to go here. The Detroit style pizza is a unique pie that has crunchy buttery crust in every bite with carmelized crust on the outside. The sauce is semi sweet and tangy which complements the garlic and butter well. I usually go for basic toppings, but the aloha bbq pizza is better than you average bbq chicken pizza if you need a break from red sauce. The variety of bread sticks are fantastic as well. Basically a better version Little Caesar's crazy bread. Carry out and delivery seems to be consistent at this location. The best of all chain fast food pizza joints IMO! read more

Don't DO it!! I love Jets. I'm from Detroit, I grew up on it. The pizza is fabulous. BUT this place has terrrrible service. I ordered pizza tonight, at 4:59pm, we have neighbors and their kids over for dinner, they just moved to the neighborhood. Jets told me it would be 1 hr 20 min for delivery, not ideal but at least we ordered early. It's currently 7:17pm. No pizza yet. We've called twice, they say they are really busy bla bla. It's not super bowl night or anything, ust a typical Saturday night. Best part is, after speaking with the manager - he won't even give us our meal for free. He's giving us 60% off. For pizza that has been sitting in the warmer since our first call at 630. I've just never heard of that kind of service. I'll be sure to write again when it finally gets here - IF it actually gets here. Moral of the story is - pizza is good but management needs some serious customer service training. I can't consciously recommend this place to friends or neighbors. Update: pizza arrived at 7:20. I was secretly hoping this was all a lie and they just simply forgot about our order. But if that were the case - our pizza would be fresh and hot. NOT the case. It's clear this pizza has sat in the warmer for 2 hours, the crust is so tough the kids can't even bite thru it. Gotta love the 8 corners pizza. For those of us who fight for the corners we can all finally rejoice. Not only does it solve that problem but the pan pizza is not too shabby either. I've only tried the turbo bread sticks but they are also pretty damn good. Its not as cheap as say Pizza Hut or Dominoes but the quality is way better and the fact that you can heat it up in the oven the next day and its not just a soggy mess gives it some extra brownie points. I wouldn't raise it up higher than your local pizza joint or maybe even Lou's or Gio's but its a change of pace from the norm and it hits the spot. Nice and crunchy crust and soft chewy inside. It feels like more of a foccacia pizza but in a good way. Check out the 8 corners pizza for sure and you won't be disappointed. read more

I ordered 2 pizzas on-line, and I get a pick up time of about 30 minutes. I got there about 10 minutes after my pick up time. While waiting, 2 customers complained that they had gotten the wrong pizza. That should have been the sign of what was coming. When I gave my name, the cashier said it would be another 10 minutes. WhileI was texting my wife, they called my name. I wasn't paying attention, because it had only been 2 minutes. The cashier was a bit irritated with me. Now, I had the correct pizzas. But, my wife took a bite of the pepperoni and olives. The crust was way undercooked. The cheese pizza appeared to be cooked, although my son complained that it was not as good as Papa John's or Angelo's. I took the undercooked pizza back. The cashier took the pizza to the back, presumably to show the supervisor. I was offered a cash refund for both pizzas, which I accepted. My wife and I were impressed with our first delivery experience from here. Needless to say, they are BUSY with their recent grand opening, and so it did take some time for them to get here, but it was worth the wait. Anyone remember how flavorful an old Pizza Hut pan pizza crust used to taste? NO? Oh, that's right - Pizza Hut never had that kind of quality to it! Imagine, though, their pan crust, but made with better quality ingredients, and you've got Jet's. Don't be thinking it's the same as that tasteless, greasy crap. No, instead, the crust is fluffy on the inside, crisp (but not inedibly crisp) and flavorful on the outside. In fact, you can even further enhance your crust with their "flavorizing" option (we didn't try it, but from what I gather, it'd be the equivalent of pouring the Papa John's butter garlic sauce all over the crust) Although there's plenty of melty cheese and good tasting toppings, the result is not a greasy mess but rather a great pan pizza. We had their "8 corner" pizza, which is cut into squares BUT every piece, then, has a crust piece (nice idea)! They have other pizzas, and they have sides, salads, and subs we can't wait to try out. Best of all - they're one of very few places offering pizza by the slice all day. Is it gourmet pizza? Certainly not. But it's a better tasting pizza than most chains. The Dude found a bunch of Jet's coupons in a savings mailer and we couldn't pass up the coupon for "Buy a Large One-Topping Pizza for $10.99, Get a Small Deep Dish Pizza Free." Clearly this is a coupon that was designed exclusively with us in mind. We got the Dude's favorite food. We got it at a low, low price. We got two pizzas, so we avoided the dreaded "thick or thin?" "discussion" we always have when we order pizza. Oh, and Jet's offers green olives as a topping! They're my favorite. Why don't more places do that? Being in Chicago, Jet's has some hefty competition, and to be honest, they're not the best 'za in town. But they're good at what they do: fast, creative pizza at a great price. I scarfed down more of the green olive pizza than I should have and had no complaints about quality or tastiness. I've already tried Jet's Pizza twice and very pleased with their pan pizza. The green peppers and mushrooms were fresh and tasty. It wasn't as greasy as I expected. The mozzarella cheese didn't look like melted plastic on pizza sauce. The pan pizza had a good crispy bottom. I would get this again. I would like to try their thin crust next to see if it holds up to my standards. Definitely get the deep dish ! I was not able to order online. You get more choices in ordering your pizza pie. I liked how you can adjust the amount of sauce you desire. Choosing a variety of crusts will add to the flavor. Although, I think it's more appropriate for the thin crusts. The second time I ordered, the gal seemed rushed. I asked her to repeat the order just to make sure it was correct. I don't know if she was paying attention. When I got the pizza home, it wasn't the way I ordered. No biggie, I just picked off stuff the Kids didn't want. I would prefer Jet's Pizza over Lou Malnati's across the street. The only reason is that particular Lou Malnati's deep dish is ALWAYS soggy. That's when the pizza is uncut. I had multiple visits with the same result.
