This is, without question, my favorite non-Chicago pizza in Chicago. Order the "deep dish," but note that this is NOT, in fact, Chicago-style deep dish pizza. It's much closer to Sicilian-style pizza - thick, yes, but because of its puffy, doughy, soft crust, not because of the dense (but delicious) stuff you're used to when it's done the Chicago way. Order the butter crust, and slap some extra sauce on there - it's fresh, a little sweet and a little tangy. I'm a purist, so I do mine with just cheese; I've tasted their pepperoni, and it's good, if they'd your thing. I grew up in southeastern Michigan, and this takes me back. This is a different style pizza than a Chicago deep dish, so just close your eyes and taste it without prejudging. Jet's pizza is pretty much what you'd call a "Detroit Style Pizza". Basically, that says it has a thick crust, toppings right out to the edge (with the edge just a teensy bit burnt), and sometimes with the sauce on top instead of under the cheese. In Jet's case the sauce is under the cheese so some purists wouldn't count it as Detroit Style, but I'd disagree. Here's a bit more on Detroit Style Pizza: "Pan pizza is easily at its best in Detroit, where aficionados seek out the corner slices that have caramelized edges blackened through contact with the hot pan. A crunchy bottom, blissfully created by the same process, is also a virtue." - http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/30872147 OK... yes, as one person pointed out, the center can be a bit doughy, but that's awesome in the middle of the crunchy outsides. In fact, it's exactly the taste I love. So, there's the general description of Detroit Pizza, and Jet's makes a great example of it. In fact, I'd say that the one in Wheaton does it better than the one in my parent's hometown back in southeastern Michigan - a better balance of sauce, dough, cheese and ingredients. I unknowingly put their customer service to the test when my husband and I discussed ordering three 8-corner pizzas, one of them veggie and two pepperoni. I picked up the order and the cashier confirmed "two pepperoni and one banana pepper?" I said no and went on politely but firmly insisting they got the order wrong. They offered to make me a new veggie but I could not wait so they gave me one for free. When I got home, I was mortified that my husband had changed his mind and the order was indeed correct. I'd never heard of Jet's before, but my husband was a fan from his college days in Michigan. We ordered an 8 corner butter crust pizza and some Jet's triple cheese turbo stix. The pizza was excellent. The crust was crispy and the innie part of the pizza was chewy and bready and cooked perfectly (what you would expect deep dish to taste like). I wasn't a huge fan of the stix as they has a little too much garlic on them for my taste but my husband loved them. Delivery was super fast and the delivery person was very nice. All-around, it is somewhere we'll be ordering from again. It is nice to have another option besides Giordano's, especially with all the pizza places in the area either closing or changing ownership. read more

Jets is really good pizza, and I wouldve totally given them 5 stars had they not touched their prices. Unfortunately they did mid to early last year, which now puts them in a position to compete with far higher quality pizza joints and they just don't stand up to them. Get your prices back down like they were Jets and I'm happy to change my review. read more

One of the better take-out pizzas I've had. Very flavorful ingredients with cheese and crust just right. Papa John's next door should take lessons on how to do it right. Only issue last time was my thin crust sausage was cold. I hope they fix this soon. read more

Just ate here again last night. You really need to get the thick crust here - the crust is crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and the toppings are all the way out to the edge. I just ordered form Jets Pizza, the new location in Wheaton. I wasn't expecting much, it being a chain,but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the pizza and service. I have never liked deep dish pizza, but was told that was what they are known for, so that was what I got, a pepperoni and sausage square. I really liked the way the edges of the pizza were just a little more done than then rest, it made it very tasty, plus there was just the right amount of sauce and cheese and the pepperoni went all the way to the edge of the pizza. Mike, who I believe was the manager, was very nice, he gave me a coupon that I didn't even know about, for a free jets bread. Which was also very good, they will actually put bacon or pepperoni( for an additional charge) on it. The best thing about it, my kids loved it! I don't know if the person who wrote the other review is an idiot because this is seriously the best pizza ever. My fiancé and I decided to give it a shot one night and we'll never give our money to a different pizza spot again. They're turbo crust is amazing(butter garlic and Romano!!) and everything about this pizza is good. The topping ate never weird, and it's super fresh. Also great customer service. I had a pretty bad experience with them. First when I called to ordered I was pretty much yelling over the phone, probably because they were busy and it was noisy but I work at a hospital (where the food was being delivered) and didn't want to be too loud plus I had to give the card number over the phone I didn't want to yell that out, which brings us to the second problem. I was ordering for 3 people on my unit 2 which had debit card for some reason they are not able to split the delivery charge and the TAXES for each order, so after fussing the guy MIKE said that the orders were going to have their OWN TAXES ( which would make since) and delivery charges would be split up. Third, we waited about an hour and 15 minutes before I decided to call them back to find out whats going on, for them to tell me the driver got lost on the way here :-/ both us and Jet's is on Roosevelt rd, how did you get lost drive a mile up the street in a straight shot??????? Fourth, the driver was confused that there were 3 separate orders, therefore there should have been 3 receipts, which I had to tell him about. he had to call back to confirm what I told him. Fifth, they manage to still put all the taxes and delivery charge on one card, WTF!!!!!!!! Just so happened it was my card! The wings were small and I said no tomatoes on my sandwich and there was. This was my first time order Jet's and I am very disappointed in the service and quality of food. I've been in retail for over 10 years and bad customer service is a big problem for me I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM JETS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! read more

Tried Jets for the first time since it is new and next to the Dunkin' Donuts I frequent. We had a package deal with a one topping deep dish, Jet's bread, salad and cinnamon sticks.
