Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. I agree that I did take it to a friend's shop first and he checked into the issue. He wasn't able to help because he was going out of town. When I initially contacted Neue Auto, I was told that you fixed all kinds of steering systems. My Lexus has an electronic control unit for the power steering, not a hydraulic one, like most cars. I asked specifically if this is something that you were able to do...when I initially called and when I dropped the car off. That was a SPECIFIC question. Both times I was assured that you were familiar. A whole day went by and no callback. I was told that it would take a few hours to investigate the issue and after repeatedly calling for an update, I was told that at 5pm my car was still being worked on. No callback by 6p so I DROVE down there in my other car only to find the shop locked up. It was the weekend and I did without my car and without any update. I was cool about it and Alvin finally contacted me after I left a message on Monday morning. I was NOT informed that you would not be able to perform the "calibration and [potential] programming." If this was the case and you didn't have the tools to complete the job, why in the world wouldn't I take it straight to Lexus? Let me be clear...you had the car for 3 weeks...THREE Weeks and nothing was being done. Alvin kept telling me he was trying to get in contact with someone at Lexus and get the inside on how to fix it. I got my car out of there because Alvin said you were waiting on someone trying to get a "workaround" for the programming? I have text messages and voicemails about this. Needless to say, the car was unfixed. When I picked up my car, it was FILTHY...there was dirt IN my car and the whole car was dirty. My car is my baby and it has never seen a day that it was that dirty. Alvin pulled the car out and I got in and drove 1/2 a mile before realizing the needle on the gas tank was BELOW "E." I also noticed this huge gash in my dash. That was NOT there before. I went straight to the gas station and had to fill my tank and I called Alvin about the gash. He flat out denied it and went on the defensive. I just threw my hands up and didn't argue. AT NO TIME DID I ASK for any sort of compensation. NONE! I asked for acknowledgement but he just denied it right off. I have the text of that too. I buy local to support, but given your reply, without even having a conversation with me throughout this whole 3 week ordeal, it's clear you have blind loyalty to your workers that allows you to create this false narrative often a customer who just plunked down $2600 for NOTHING. My car was the SAME as when I drove it in. AUWE!! Sidenote: Took my car in to Lexus the following Monday and it was done in 3 days. When I got my car from Neue, I asked for notes on what was done and what else needed to be done. I also asked if they could give me their Lexus contact so that that person could provide any information to the repairman at Lexus. When I picked up my car, the advisor said that the part changed by Neue was unlikely to have been necessary at all. This was a HUGE, EXPENSIVE lesson learned to do my due diligence in competency!

The brick & mortar shops were all giving me the run around and never could provide me with a quote to address the problem with my headlight. I figured my ballast was bad in the headlight however, it wasn't until Charles pulled the headlight did I see that rain and condensation had ruined the ballast and water literally poured out. The headlight configuration on my car didn't allow Charles to remove and replace the ballast without taking the plastic headlight cover off the car. Factory alterations are something he told me upfront he doesn't do, so we decide the best approach was to get a headlamp unit assembly replacement. Charles had quoted me a flat rate of $300 to replace the ballast which included removing part of the front bumper to access the headlamp unit in my car. Since he couldn't replace the ballast with the new one I provided, he put everything back together, charged me only $200 and told me he would come back out after I got the new headlamp and would only charge me the remainder of $100 on the original quote which I felt was more than fair since he essentially would be doing the same job again. I finally got the new headlamp assembly abut 1.5 weeks later, and texted Charles who immediately acknowledged my message and gave me a day he could come back and finish the job. He actually completed the job within 30-40 minutes and everything worked great, headlight is perfect. I can't say enough about how fair Charles is. He quotes you a flat rate for the services you need. He's a great guy, easy going and doesn't waste time, he gets right to work and gets the job done. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs mobile work at their home or place of business, I know I will be using him again.
