Be VERY CAUTIOUS. I went in for a safety check and was advised by their mechanic that my brakes are in need of replacement....that's about $300+ to do. Keep in mind the mechanic was just looking at it without even taking off tire to inspect it thoroughly or even completing the safety check. I took my car to the dealership and they said my brakes are fine. Last time I did my brakes at the dealership was approximately 30,000 miles ago. Usually brakes are bad around 50-60,000 miles depending on how you drive. The safety check guy was super cool and always is when I see him, but that one mechanic either lies or sucks at communicating what's wrong with cars to the customer. read more

This place is a ripoff!!! Don't ever come here specially if they're slow cz they will try to make money as much as they can. They'll tell you you need to change this and that even if they don't need to be changed. The girl with tattoos that you tall to about your car is very sassy. I treat my truck like my baby so whenever it's time for an oil change, without hesitation I trust the hands of the technicians at this location. Each time I come I'm assisted by Aaron; he acknowledged any questions and concerns I had and informed me about everything that they were were going to do to my truck so I wasn't stuck, anxiously waiting or questioning if things were going well or not. Wait time wasn't agonizing because due to the location, there are many places to check out/eat to kill time, but it didn't take as long as I had anticipated, which is definitely 10 points extra in my book. Quality over quantity is what I always say and the quality of how my ride feels whenenever I leave here is always at A1. To get my safety check, I needed registration. - this adulting business has me running around in circles, ^Aaron @ this Jiffy Lube was able to help me out tremendously. They "fail" you at first & then you use that failed safety check document to get your new registration. I took my car on Saturday Sept 19 for oil/filter change and tire rotation. Waited patiently in line for about 40 minutes until I was about to enter into the garage when all of a sudden the tech and supervisor told me to back up and take a stall because another car (4Runner) was before me. When I first got there there was no 4runner around. I backed up as directed and left for good. Very disappointing. Very disorganized and the staff was not friendly. read more

I sent my teenage son to get his oil changed here, and thought it would be quick and easy for him. He came back with a $200 bill--I kid you not. He asked for an oil change and they apparently gave him the run around and told him he needed a bunch of things, including a $90 oil change and brake fluid, which was another $100--for his junkalunka 2003 car. He was too trusting, and this shop totally took advantage of him. Lesson learned for him and for me, but we won't be back. read more

I think I've been here enough times to finally write a review. This Jiffy Lube is located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center. It's kind of a standalone building in the center of the shopping square. You won't miss it. This location is convenient for me since I don't live too far away. No appointment necessary, you can just drive up and drop off your car. Fair warning though: if it's during peak hours, don't expect to get your car that quickly. I have seen this place fill up quite quickly around lunch time. I usually show up right when they open for my oil change. Service has been good. No complaints, really. There's a waiting area if you opt to sit around and wait for your car. Luckily, there are a lot of restaurants located in the area, so might as well grab something good to eat. However, every time I go (at 7am), no one is opened yet. But that's just me. They'll also offer you coffee and water while you wait. Bottom line: they're fast, they're friendly, they're convenient, and they're affordable (depending on what you need done, of course). No doubt fast service, But sloppy service. I went under the hood to check and found oil all over the place.And if you don't have the original stock rims then they won't do a tire rotation. Just a bunch of kids who probably don't have much experience. Lesson learned read more

Beware of safety check at this location. I really like jiffy lube I do. Being a long time customer at this location and in town I have noticed a decline in experience at the aiea jiffy lube. Finally decided to break free after they tried to gouge on additional items they said I needed to pass a safety check. Dirty headlights? Streaky wipers? Over $50 to correct each or no safety check. The headlights and wipers weren't that bad! Took the car for gas and wash and got the safety and a oil change from lex Brodie's down the road without a problem. Probably didn't need the car wash to pass but my car looks better. And previous small kine issues others have mentioned. No sticker reminder. Safety walk in , appointment only, walk in again. This was my go to spot for oil changes and safety inspections. It seems like the service has gone downhill fast. The last 2 oil changes I never received the sticker to let me know my next oil change. I know, 1st world problems, but it is really convenient. They used to do walk ins for the safety inspection, then changed it to appointments, now it is back to walk ins. Today I am off from work since I needed a day to catch up on adult things after my vacation. I decided since there are only 2 days left in the month, I should get the safety done on the car. I arrived promptly at 7:05 in the morning, luckily my body is on CA time still so it wasn't an issue. I told them why I was there only to hear, "our shop safety guy doesn't come in until 10." Okay, then i went ahead and took care of the oil. As I was checking out, I kindly asked if the safety guy comes in everyday at 10, or is it different each day. I don't know if she misheard me or what, but she seemed to look at a schedule hiding behind a wall and shook her head yes. I went about my business and ran a few other errands and made my way back. I was early so I waited in a parking stall. At 9:40 I drove back up and told them again I wanted the safety check to which they responded, "our guy comes in at THREE." You can imagine my frustration and the words I had to hold back. I also work in a customer service job and I know that customers can be very irritable. I wasted my time this morning. My 3 hours I spent trying to wait until 10 so I could be a responsible adult and take care of things, only to be told 2 separate times. Maybe, you should only have the "safety" guy come in Mon, wed, and fri and make it easier for everyone, or POST the times he is supposed to be in the shop. This is a huge inconvenience and I will NOT be coming back to this shop for anything. I will be sure to inform anyone and everyone to avoid this particular location. read more

Called in to check the wait time, guy over then phone quoted me 45 min- 1 hr but reassured me to just come by. Took my chances and was in within 10 min, with checking in being a breeze. Originally, I went there for just an oil change. As the tech did his inspection he recommended my engine fluid to be flushed & brake fluid. Being that I've been there before they noted I need to get my tires rotated. So with all that being said I got all recommendations done. The service & knowledge the tech has, was awesome. I've been going to the Aiea Jiffy Lube for a few years now until yesterday. I brought my mom's car in for and oil change and safety inspection which had expired a couple months ago. I didn't want to sit in the office, so I left my cell number. I was going to get the regular oil change since it is an '03 corolla. Got talked into the $60 something synthetic blend oil change. They called me and told me that the lil light above the license plate needed to be changed. $10....ok. They called me again and told me the front breaks needed new break pads and new rotors for $367. Ummmm....no. i told them I wouldn't be doing that work today and the guy said they won't pass the car without changing the breaks. So i told them again NO. I called another Jiffy Lube and was told that the only reasons they would look at the break pads and rotors if the cars breaks were making noises OR the emergency break did not hold the car in place while in gear and not stepping on the breaks. My moms car breaks isn't making and noise AND it passed the emergency hand break test. Why were they even looking at thr breaks that closely with out any indicators just for a safety inspection? Today, I took the car to a different place and it passed without a hitch. Jiffy Lube Aiea lost a loyal customer and I lost out on the $20. At least I'm not out $367 for break work I didn't need. read more

The BEST experience I ever received getting my car serviced/maintenance checked. From the beginning everyone was so nice because I honestly don't know ANYTHING about cars, but everyone was so patient and kind with me. Colin and Tiffany were the ones servicing my Slater (my 2017 Corolla) and they were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything that they were doing, asking me if I wanted each of the services they were providing instead of just receiving a huge bill at the end of the service, which happened all the other times I got my car changed. It felt like I was taking an auto class and I know so much more about cars in that short 15 minute service. Everyone was just so nice, and I can't thank Pearl Kai Jiffy Lube enough for such a wonderful and extraordinary experience. Went to Jiffy Lube Pearl Kai for a top off. After a few minutes the technician said her Manager stated we need to go back to the original Jiffy Lube where we changed the oil. AH WHAT!?!?! Their website and other locations state a customer can go to ANY Jiffy Lube. We left which we shouldn't have. I called once we got home and after 10 times the Manager finally answered. She gave some excuse about 'access' and 'comments' and explained why they couldn't provide the service. LAME! I told her the technician should have told us the real reason and not say we have to go back to the original Jiffy Lube. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Some of the workers there are nice but when I went to get my car oil changed the other day, the girl that helped me had very poor customer service & was not friendly at all. I told her I wanted the regular oil $50, but she kept saying the synthetic oil ($90)is recommended for my car... I told her No I want the regular oil.. & she kept repeating and repeating herself saying that I should buy the $90 synthetic oil and I kept saying no no no so many times. She finally got my answer "No" through her head & I also had to wait over an hour for my car to be finished. Drove in from Kapolei to get my oil changed. I was greeted and treated with what we call in the 808 "Aloha". It's nice to see in this day and age that still exists. As I waited in the waiting room I overheard a conversation with the manager Rick and one of his employees. Rick was explaining how safety glasses and bump caps are required for all staff. He also stated the previous management was very relaxed on enforcing it and that needed to change. He then told his all he can do is lead by example and hopefully everyone follows . I'm a Journeyman Electrician and know what it means to do that. I respect the Rick and how he leads. Even though I live in Kapolei I'll definitely be driving in to see Rick and his crew fro.now on. Jiffy Lube has always been my go to for oil changes in the states. So after moving to Hawaii I drove over 30 minutes just to get to this location and I can say it was definitely worth it. Customer Service was top notch. The gentleman were courteous and the oil change was speedy. No one attempted to overly up-sell me for services I didn't need even after utilizing a coupon. The bathroom were clean & the sitting area was prefect for me & my little ones while I waited. My service ended with the Mgr or asset Mgr opening my car door for me before I left. So I work at the vitamin shoppe in Aiea right next to Jiffy lube and decided to take my wife's Jeep to get an oil change the customer service was amazing Glenn helped me through everything as far as explaining what the services provided along with the oil change and I was surprised how extensive there services were I mean the whole nine yards and he was super cool gave us a tip to get $15 off and after it was done Marvin went over with me again with a checklist of what the status was on my wife's Jeep I'm definitely going to continue to service both cars here and most definitely recommend this place for awesome service and 5 star customer service read more

We always come to this location for our oil change. They do everything here for Bertha(yes she has a name and if you saw here you would think it's fitting ) Love this location because while they fix her up I can venture out and try out the yummy food surrounding this area. The waiting area is nice and cool and their bathroom is clean(love when places have clean bathrooms, it says a lot about a company I feel).
