I came here on a Monday around 11 am and found there to be very little wait (just one car ahead of me). The gentleman who greeted me at my car led me to the waiting room which was very clean and organized. What set this location apart was that they showed me that my air filters needed replacing but didn't try to sell them to me. It was more like a FYI. They also showed me two nails in my tires and provided the water and soap leak test (which thankfully none of the holes were leaking). They did my oil change and tire rotation in about 35 minutes. This same service at the Toyota dealer would have taken me several hours to wait for. Moe is very nice here and provided me with some friendly conversation. To start, had a manufacturer issue with our tires and jiffy lube was a partner vendor for the tire company. We take the car to the Van Dorn location the time we were told the day before and the manager was not aware of the previous days call but didn't even hesitate to help us out even though this was a unique situation. Jeremy took our car back immediately and we were on our way within 30 minutes and they were busy too. Long story short, manager really came through and helped us with a real problem. Thanks! Came in for an tire rotation and an oil change and Hector informed that there are warranty's on Tire Rotations. This policy seems sketchy because every other oil change you're supposed to get a tire rotation. Nationally, Jiffy Lube has stopped rotating tires on full size pickup trucks. read more

Claimed to have vacuumed the floors of my vehicle, which never happened. They never unlocked the passenger side door. I did not know that a trip to the car wash was required after having your oil changed, but at this Jiffy Lube it is a requirement! Never seen so many oily fingerprints all over the driver's door, around the engine compartment of my vehicle, and even where they bent over to check the tire pressure. Wish Jiffy Lube management would take pride in their customers by wiping down their employees' dirty fingerprints on a completed vehicle. Next time, I will wait to go to the Toyota dealership for an oil change! read more

I think we were set up for trumped charges, and they stripped screw and lost parts. Brought car in for oil change. It had just been inspected and passed. After oil change they told my wife both brake lights were out, and did she want them to replace them (at huge markup). She wisely said no, we would do it. Well, when I looked at the car I discovered they had taken the taillight assemblies off the car at some point. I knew this because one of the screws was stripped, two screw covers were missing, and two screw covers were damaged. Now, why would they take off the taillights if my wife said not to replace the bulbs? I can't prove it, but frankly I think they put burnt out bulbs in there to increase the service cost. What are the odds of two bulbs burning out at the exact same time, just a day after having been confirmed as working? read more

This is a INDEPENDENTLY-owned Jiffy Lube - Be Careful with Promotions!!! I am originally from Texas and very loyal to Jiffy Lube as their service is phenomenal and they take care of their customers promotion and discount-wise... today was NOT the case. I heard from the Jiffy Lube site/emails that they had a "Veteran's Day" promotion in which I figured was the best time to come and get my oil change, especially since I recently moved to the Alexandria area. Went to the location for an oil change, and as expected, they typically find other aspects to repair. With the promotion I felt the more, the merrier and said yes to all services. When it came to payment, the manager mentioned that this Jiffy Lube did not honor the nationwide promotions. So what was thought to be a 25% discount (which would have been $100 off) became a mere $10 (this did not even cover the taxes). Needless to say, I was hurt and felt that should have been stated BEFORE services were done. Otherwise I would have went to a nearby Midas or Car Dealership. UPDATE: Jiffy Lube Team was very responsive to review, and though not able to honor promotion, made contact and truly made amends to make things right through some future oil changes. However, when I went to check out with the same technician, he proceeded to tell me that this situation was my fault after I apologized for making his day difficult. I will still not be returning to Jiffy Lube again. I came in for a basic oil change. They called me and asked if I wanted to add all of these services that was going to bring my total to over $500. I asked them to hold on so I could converse with my husband and they took this as consent to preform services on my vehicle that I did not want to have done that day. While they didn't preform all $500 worth of services, but total was still over $200 compared to the $70 oil change I was looking to get. When I got there the technician sat there and argued with me about how I hung up on him and so they just took it as an okay to do the services on my vehicle and charge me extra money. I pointed this out to him and he basically just said that they were busy and that I still was responsible for the charges. Awesome group of guys working at this location, I am not normally one to go to Jiffy Lube but I needed to get a tire patch done before driving home 35 miles. I had tried to get the tire patched around the corner that day at NTB and they s*** the bed on getting it done. The guys managed to get my tire patched while I waited and it took about 40 minutes to complete the job. I was more then happy to wait, but this is where they went above and beyond their job. I left and hopped on the road and was halfway home when they called me and said that they found a puddle of oil where my car had been parked and wanted to let me know it seemed like a lot and that I might have a massive leak. I thanked him and said I would check when I got home, sure enough my car started acting funny and I checked the oil level and it was very low. I took the car to the dealer the next day and was told I had leaks in 2 spots and was told the price for the repair and decided to trade it in for a new car. So thanks to the crew at Jiffy Lube for the heads up before the engine seized and I didn't get any trade in value for it. read more

I went to the Jiffy Lube on the same street where their is a Land Rover Dealership and a gas station next door. I went in with an exotic car (it's my friend's and he is cheap) it was a Maserati and they forgot to seal the cap after the oil change, and all the oil was leaking slowly onto the front axle. The employees in the office area were nice and sweet but the ones in the shop can be jealous. And I believe they intentionally did that. Because you can either forget to seal the cap or you can seal it tightly, their is no in between. And they put it and turned it around just one time, therefore, it was unsealed and dripping. Also they charged me $115.00 for a synthetic oil change which according to their sign, said it was $90 for a Mobil 1 Oil Change. I just don't understand why those employees would rip people off, knowing they ain't going to make any profit of it. read more

I wouldn't go to this Jiffy Lube again. When I pulled up, there were a couple cars already there, so they told me it would be about 35-40 min. Ok, no problem, I went to the waiting area and took out my book. An hour later they finally called me out to go over what they suggested I get done on my car, and I didn't get to check out for another 1/2 hour. Right before I checked out I heard the lady behind the counter talk to a gentelman waiting say "hey are you in a hurry?" He said no, she replied "don't matter, I'll check you out first" (he had been there for maybe 20 min) Then I over heard her trying to give him my car. Once I got in my car all the mirrors had been moved and the seat was moved also, I don't understand why they needed to move those. I know...let's get you an oil change and a radiator coolant system flush at Jiffy Lube! I figure you had to work xtra hard in 4x4 mode, then it's well deserved. So, I always have gotten my oil and coolant system work done at Jiffy Lube with no issues. Today service tech L.T. hooked me up with good service and some info for future smooth engine running. I realize you can get good deals on cheaper oil changes in many places. Less than $34.99. But, stick with who you know and trust. I'm happy with the guys at my local Jiffy Lube. I've been here several times for a signature oil change. The workers are always very courteous and I usually manage to go when there's not a wait. As with all the oil change places they try to sell additional services, but they aren't pushy. The last time I went they recommended replacing the belt and took the time to explain why it was needed; the prices seemed reasonable. I use to bring my car here when I lived in Alexandria. I am rarely on this side of the city, but I needed my oil changed and knew I could trust this location. I went during lunch on Friday and there was no major line. I was immediately escorted to the guy that pulls up your details on computer. He had a great attitude and was not overly pushy but respected that I knew what I needed (oil change and inside cabin filter) and accepted it. He was funny yet professional and made me feel like I made the right choice coming back. I later learned he was the Assistant Manager named Donnay. As usual, I was called over to their computer to confirm services - for anyone that's ever set foot in any Jiffy Lube ever, this is when they pull up every little thing possible to try and get you to add more services to your visit. The person helping said, "I noticed something that really concerned me. Let me ask - when did you last replace your wiper blades?" Quite annoyed, I responded with, "Last month." Mind you, not only did they just get replaced, they are the really nice Rain-X blades that conform to your windshield. There's NO WAY they needed any attention. After that, every single thing suggested to me was completely ignored and I just walked away. Wipers might not be much, but c'mon! Good for an oil change, bad for anything else. Went to get one of my tires checked out for an air leak. I explained the problem to the first guy that I met and he then asked, "So are you here for an oil change?" I had actually got an oil change a couple days earlier at the same place... so of course I said no. Thirty mins later (busy Saturday), they started working on my car. A different man called me out and he again asked if I was here for an oil change. I explained no, again, and he said OK, he'd check out my tire pressure. This is when I saw my car's hood already opened. Couple minutes later I see a different guy pouring oil into my car. Apparently he didn't get the memo either. Of course, I didn't get charged since it was their mistake. They checked my tires and added air, explaining that they didn't do any tire work. I suppose I should've known better. I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 because when I got the oil change previously they did a good job, and the wait wasn't bad either. Service is good too. However, they should definitely get some sort of organization up in there. read more
