I took my car in to get it inspected and tires rotated and oil change. They forgot to inspect it but told me I was all set. When I tried to register my car that is when I find out they didn't inspect it. I called they said come back and they will do it. I went back told the person what was going on and then waited 20 mins and nobody knew I was there or what was going on. They wanted me to wait a long time again after they made the mistake of not inspecting my car in the first place. How do you forget to inspect the car when that is what I brought it in for originally? Just horrible business practice and will never return for any of my 3 cars again. read more

Customer service has gotten worse here! I went in for an inspection and was quoted 30-45 minutes with 2 cars in front of me, an hour and 10 minutes later still waiting. I asked them how much longer BEFORE they get to my car and I was told another 30 minutes. Would have been nice to have been told that from the beginning so that I could have taken my business else where and not waste all that time sitting there for nothing. read more

Call me old fashioned, but I just think if you spend close to $70 on a high mileage oil change you should get a reminder sticker about when next service is due and if they said they filled your fluids on your receipt then they should actually add the fluids instead of just misrepresenting themselves. 1) In 15 years of driving, this is the first mechanic that felt it necessary to remove my car battery for an oil change, causing all of my radio preset to be lost and my car's clock radio to become factory-locked, requiring a manufacturer's reset code. I got it working (WITHOUT their help) but I am still trying to find all my radio stations again. 2) They charged me nearly $100 for an oil change. As I was walking out the door, the attendant mumbled something (which apparently was "synthetic oil") and I shrugged and said whatever. This upped my price by $50. Nobody informed me that it would be more than doubling the cost of my service that day. 3) When I protested, the attendant told me that he would take $30 off of my order. When I looked at the total, it seemed wrong, so I asked again if he had applied the discount. He looked me dead in the eye and said "absolutely, sir, I most definitely did." I had to get back to work and had no more time to argue, so I swiped my card. The receipt then printed up to confirm that no, he had not applied that discount. The attendant then proceeded to play dumb and insist that I had misunderstood him. When I shared this story with my coworkers, the (almost unanimous) response has been "what were you thinking going to Jiffy Lube!? NEVER go to Jiffy Lube!" I wish I had read the October 2017 review about the inspection wait for this location. Fortunately I only waited 45 minutes before finally leaving, if I had waited 2 hours my head would probably have exploded. 2 cars were in the bay and I was told I would be after them. Within 30 minutes both cars were gone and 3 more customers had arrived. No word was ever said to me and at about 40 minutes a different car was pulled into the bay. I moved to the window to make myself visible like, hey, what about me? I was ignored. At 45 minutes I gave up and left. Do not go here for an inspection, apparently it isn't something they actually offer. read more

Went back at 4:40 and, although the inspection hours were until 5pm, the guy wouldn't start on it because he had to leave by 5 and he wouldn't be able to be finished by then. When I took my husband's car into Jiffy Lube last weekend, it was great...quick service, offered me only the services I needed, and made sure I got the $24.99 oil change. Then...I took my car today, and even though I asked for the EXACT same oil as I got the previous weekend, they charged me $37 for the "Signature" oil change where they "vacuumed my car" [which was spotless already...so no work was really done] and "topped off my fluids" [which my husband had already done one week ago]. Brandon worked really hard to make sure that I understood everything that needed to be done but wasn't pushy and made sure that I had all of the information I needed about future maintenance decisions. I was in and out in under 15 minutes including the time they took to show me the fluid levels before I left (at my request due to a bum sensor). After an oil change at this location I immediately began having overheating issues and less than 24 hours later I had to replace my radiator and thermostat because the radiator was cracked due to being struck with an object in the area where an oil change takes place. My repair bill was $530.00 and I placed a review on the website. I was contacted by home office who assured me they would look into the matter but as of this date no further word. Coincidence I don't think so and neither did the dealership where the repairs were done I feel like it was negligence on the part of the employees and an attempt to cover it up and not take responsibility for their actions. Went in for inspection. Guy drove off, and after 20 minutes asked where he went. Turns out, there is a 1 car bay he was in, and was under the hood. After about 20 more minutes, he was still under the hood! Look, folks, inspections are for lights, horn, and emissions. Some places use, as this one an on board diagnostic system device which shows errors, etc... Since it passed, I got to wondering how he could pass it before checking under the car first? Secondly, there was not anything connected to the tail pipe to test, so my question is, WHY DID HE STAY UNDER MY HOOD FOR DANG NEAR 45 MINUTES? There is no need for that. Then, they said they would test my ac, so drove it around where there are the bays to look under car. Meanwhile, I paid. Then, when I went out there, I was told both fans that cool my radiator didn't work, and my ac compressor didn't kick on! Something very fishy! Then, he said he didn't have a gauge that could fit my vehicle to test the Freon pressure! Over all, the people were nice, but I highly question this inspection. Never have I had one done in private like this, in all 35+ years of vehicle care... Called the Houston Intl. Office to get some answers, but held for 20 minutes for customer service. When the black lady came on, I asked her to help me understand the process of inspections (like I'm dumb), and she hung up on me! Maybe accidentally, so, I call back. This time, the 1st to answer was a black man who never asked what department I needed, and he transferred me. Finally, an Asian man asked me questions, and determined I needed Jiffy Lube customer service, as he was with Shell. He asked my name & phone number to "look me up". Confused, I gave it to him, and wasn't surprised I wasn't in the Shell database! I even told him so, adding, we had already established I needed a different department, since Jiffy Lube is one of their subsidiaries, which I didn't know. He then began asking me questions, like, what I needed, and still wasn't listening, because I had to REMIND him I didn't go to a SHELL station, but Jiffy Lube...I asked him to transfer me, because he was wasting my time. He put me on hold twice, and then offered to transfer me. He also offered the number incase we got cut off again. My hands were full, and I asked to be transferred...After 2-3 minutes, he came back stating they were really busy, & if I didn't mind waiting. I told him to transfer me, and didn't need to stay on phone with me (soft transfer). He transferred me, but the announcement "All customer service reps are busy, please stay on the line", never came on. So I was in limbo land waiting for nothing. Finally, I hung up. Total time wasted w/o out connecting? 35 minutes the 2nd time, 20 minutes the first! So, when I file a complaint with DPS, Jiffy Lube & She'll cannot say I didn't try. As for including their race, it is only because NONE give names, so for the purposes of MAYBE someone in management wants to know who treats people so badly, they might be able to narrow it down, in addition to the fact that upon the 2nd call, there is a recording that states since I called back, all future calls will be recorded... read more

I came in to get my inspection done, in which they failed me because the tires on my truck are "too big." They told me to go by new stock rims and tires and put them back on before they would pass me. Plus they still made me pay 20 bucks for the "inspection" they did. Do not recommend coming here for an inspection or any type of service you might want to get your money back on if they mess up. read more

This place is THE. WORST. I never write bad reviews about anything or anyone, but I feel as though this review is one that needs to be heard! I needed (and still need) a state inspection done, so my first stop was Tuffy, less than 2 blocks from this Jiffy Lube. Tuffy's state inspection wait time was 1 hour, so before committing to that, I called Jiffy Lube at 2:47 pm. Jeremy, the man who answered the phone, notified me that the wait time would be 30-35 minutes. Ok, sounds better so I told him I would be there in less than 2 minutes---it was less than two blocks from where I was. Well, when I arrived just 2 minutes later (perhaps even only 1 minute later), I pulled up to the back bay and explained why I was there, for a state inspection. The man that walked out of the bay to greet me (not Jeremy) told me that they were no longer doing them for the day. I explained that I had just called and that I spoke to Jeremy and had notified him that I was on my way over. Well apparently between my phone call, my driving time and when I had arrived, Jeremy (the only one at that location who was able to perform state inspections) was now off-duty. Umm.... ok. So then I asked if I someone would be coming back to perform state inspections and if I could wait, or if I should come back another day. He pretended not to hear me... but one of the other bay workers had. So over comes unnamed employee #2 who tells me that it won't be a problem. He said that he is a temporary fill-in at this location, but that he would be willing to perform the inspection for me as soon as the two cars in the bay were done. I said, 'Oh, thank you! If it's ok, I'll leave the insurance and keys and all that in the car and I'm going to head out for a run. Do you think it'll be longer than 2 hours?' His reply was along the lines of, 'Oh, no, absolutely not. I will get to it as soon as I'm done with these two.' I was grateful. Something I thought was odd, however, is that he asked where I would be running and how far, but... I left my things and went for a short 2 mile jog around the surrounding neighborhood regardless. Upon my return (20 mins later, tops), I went straight to the customer service seating area and helped myself to some water. I sat there for awhile, noticing a lot of customers were coming and going within a decent timeframe and thought to myself that they must just be there for basic oil changes and since there were 2 team members to perform those, they were going faster. But then I noticed that my Jeep was sitting in the back of the parking lot, kind of abandoned. I thought, let me give it another little while and I'm sure my car will be in soon. 2 hours later... still sitting abandoned. So I may may way to the door that leads out to the bay, gently open it and ask when they think they'll be getting to my car. This is when I'm told (by the same unnamed employee #1) that they had been informed that it was a dropoff. Ok, so what does that mean? He told me that the inspector left at 3 and that I could pick it up on Monday once the inspection is complete. At this point, I was livid. I had been there for over 2 HOURS and yet no one had bothered to come in and tell me that the man who has said he would perform the inspection, no problem, was also no longer there and no one had even come into the waiting room to inform me that my car was not going to be looked at today. I asked if they had tried to find the owner (thinking maybe they had popped in while I was out running), but no... he looked at me like, 'Why would anyone do that?' Never. Again. Worst Customer Service, poor communication skills and if you're open until 7, why would your inspector leave at 3pm on a Saturday? Horrible. Awful. I am seething. And now I have to go elsewhere to get an inspection done. Ugh. read more

Well, my visit today to Jiffy Lube was pretty quick and painless. I was super impressed the manager gave me $30 off of a fuel filter change with my oil change!! Most car places try and push you to do a lot of over-maintenance when all you want is an oil change. But this Jiffy Lube seemed pretty laid back and not pushy at all. They did give me a rundown of usual routine maintenance, but I didn't feel pressured to be up-sold on anything. My truck is running great, and they did a good clean job. And overall, I'm thrilled that I got something done on my truck that needed to be done a long time ago, and now won't have to spend another day taking it to my mechanic just for a fuel filter. I've known for years that they use the oil change as a way to upsell you on garbage that you don't need, but I figured that I would just dispute it and tell them to do just the cheapest oil change. The guy BSed me on the fact that my car needs synthetic. I protested, but he wore me down. Then he said that he would give a free RainX treatment. Wrong. He charged me $4.99 for that free treatment. Next they charged me another couple of bucks for a cabin filter that I didn't need and was not told about. These guys are scammers even more so than other Jiffy Lubes. If you can't do it yourself, then go to Walmart or something. An oil change on a Honda should not cost $85. Avoid. read more

Good customer service, but prices are too high. I asked them to fill up my tires, and they said they did. I asked them to try again, as the "check tire" light remained lit, and they said that all the tires were 35-36 psi. I didn't believe them, so I filled up my tires 2 minutes later. All my tires were below 28 psi. When I filled them up to 32, the "check tire" light went away...almost like magic. Except it wasn't. I just knew what I was doing. read more

Worst customer service! I went there yesterday to get a state inspection done. I was told they were backed up and they were not taking any more vehicles for inspections. So trying to be proactive, I call today before heading over on my 45 min lunch break, I was told they had 1 vehicle there for inspection. Since they were only about 5 minutes from work, I decided to try again. When I arrived, I was told they were not doing any more state inspections, they were taking an hour break for lunch. This was my last ditch effort at using jiffy lube anymore, after the one on brodie ln messed up my wife's car by putting the wrong oil in it twice and not owing up too it. Anyways i got a groupon and by accident it was for the wrong location and oil type, thank god the service manager there had had a brain and worked with me with not much hassle of getting it right. His name was ROSS and needless to say he brought back faith in me using jiffy lube again, probably only that location, but they have my business back. All people want that are paying for stuff, is to not feel like they're getting ripped off or shunned on their service. And for the first time in awhile i feel i did not. Thanks ROSS. For the past 12 years I have been coming to this exact location. Why? Because the customer service is typically pretty great. For years I was recognized every time I came in. I was greeted with a smile and even given discounts for being a loyal customer. Now, every time I come in it's a brand new set of teenagers to mid twenty somethings who just recite the spiel and get me on my way. They have raised their prices and try to upsell you harder than the older vets of this shop would. I had gotten excited for a coupon I got in the mail from this particular shop and came in today. Not only did the kid set me up for a higher priced service than I ever do, but he also didn't take my coupon because apparently it's only good for the $40-over $50 services. What? Why send out a coupon that makes you have you spend even more than usual. On top of that even more even with the coupon applied. I'm sorry but that's not cool. I had to convince the kid to downgrade me to the $30 service I usually have and plead him to stop trying to sell me all kinds of services I do elsewhere. This shop used to be five star worthy. I took my car to Jiffy lube at cross great oaks and 620 road for state inspection and oil change, employee told me services takes time 20 to 25 minutes, but I been waiting for three hours, I saw manager Jason went to help employee, finally I told them what happened they told me your cap on your car is loose we have to put temporarily cap I saw delivery guy brought cap , didn't fit , I said I am late for my work I need ride if my car is not ready, they gave me ride to my work , I call them at 5:00pm because during that time no one called me from Jiffy lube regarding my car , I told them I need ride to pickup my car , they told me sorry we cant give you ride , we are busy, I called people to give me ride and I paid them $20, Jiffy lube didn't charge me for my state inspection and oil change , but when I arrive my home I saw after two hours plenty none stop oil leak, I took the car back next day, they been told me we sealed , will not leak again, I came to my work after hours I saw oil leak all over the place, third day I went to jiffy lube employee been rude to me and been told me go fix your oil pan after 1 hour waiting , I contacted jiffy lube head quarter they gave me case number#116195, after two weeks Eric called me from claim dept told me under investigation , his final call from ERIC he lied to me about my car advised me at the beginning of the services my pan oil had been cracked and oil leak, then he denied my claim, I told Mr. Eric no one told me before service start up, but he end up with argument , next day I called head corporate Jiffy lube I spoke with Diana , she told me she see on the computer my check is issued by trey and Eric, she emailed them , she told me she will call me and she said that is not right you called different places to be frustrated, after two days I call back to head corporate jiffy lube been told they told me we cant do anything ,case is not available we cant advised you where you have to call ,call claim department, after 23 days without car and my car been damaged by Jiffy lube, I reported them to BBB , worst business, liar, expensive oil change caused me $1200 to repair my car, they don't pay for their damage to your car, they are rude , not honest, I will not do oil change or state inspection at Jiffy lube , with damaged to my car they did passed state inspection too, find good mechanic. read more

I just bought a used car this week and when my low tire pressure sensor went off driving home from work today I was really worried! So I pulled in here and explained to one of the employees, Garrett, what was going on. He immediately checked all the tires, showed me the gauge each time, and filled up two that were a little low. He went on to patiently and politely explain to me what likely happened with the sensor and what steps I should take next if it came on again and even showed me on the tires how I could tell their age when I asked about them too. With such friendly, helpful service it was a great experience and I'll definitely come back to this location in the future! read more

I came in for a simple state inspection and was told that there was a 30-40 minute wait. This is understandable and expected, so I waited behind two other people. There was no one manning the front or a place to sign in, so I assumed the employee that I spoke with would handle things. While waiting in the wait area for over an hour and fifteen minutes, three, yes THREE, separate customers who came in well after me, we helped and left before my vehicle. Please keep in mind as well, in the time that we were there, employees came into the lobby, the manager included, and NOT ONE said "hello" or "have you been helped." After waiting an hour and 20 minutes, I spoke to the manager Jeremy, he said that my vehicle would be next. After I asked him why we weren't helped, he said he was told that the other customers were ahead of me. I explained that he was told incorrectly and he offered no apology. Bottom line, this business is horribly managed from the top down. If you cannot accurately communicate to the three employees that you have, effectively put in procedures to follow that ensure that your employees can accurately communicate to you as the manager what cars came in and their respective order, and ensure that the level of customer service is top notch, because you are in a service centered profession, then you clearly need to have a refresher course of the "management training" that is so proudly posted and advertised in the lobby that you apparently completed. I cannot expect much from the employees of this business when the management is clearly lacking. Be a patron of this business at your discretion. Good thing it is not the only business offering this service in the area, because, when all was said and done, this jiffy lube took and hour and thirty minutes of my time I am not getting back, as well as piss poor customer service, so they will not get any of my returning business. read more

Best place for a quick oil change minus the hassle. It was tempting to try out Carx which is half the price but after seeing the Yelp reviews, I knew better. I went in this morning around 9am and was out in 20 mins. Came out to around $30+ with coupon, but they also wash the windows and vacuum the interior!
