These guys are awesome! Consistently great service, friendly, and even vacuum my car for a basic oil change. I never knew an oil change could be such a good experience! As a woman the upsale is always scary because you never know if they are being honest with you and what you really need, but these guys are respectful and while they do ask every time--they take the time to explain what they are offering and when it would make sense for me to go with the upgrade. You can tell everyone there is a team player and willing to help out in any way they can. Great group of guys and it's always quick too! I have been to other Jiffy Lube locations and they do not even come close to comparing to this location, so even though it's a little bit out of the way it still saves me time to go here and I'm always glad I did. read more

I have been to a number of Jiffy Lubes in various states over the years. The workers at this one were very pleasant and the waiting room is very clean. My oil change did take a bit longer than it should have, because some piece of their equipment was malfunctioning, but they did tell me what was going on and apologized. My car died this morning and I stopped into the Jiffy Lube this morning to see if I could get it jumped and working enough to get it to the dealer. The manager Keith diagnosed what it was and we decided it was probably best to have it towed and was happy for me to leave it where it was while waiting for the tow-truck. He was so sweet and thoughtful of me and my kids and I really really appreciated the help. I've been in before and they're always nice, quick and really work to provide excellent customer service. This Jiffy Lube location is the best! Everyone who works here is always incredibly polite, and they take the time to explain their recommendations. They don't give you a hard time for declining any services. They let you know if there are available coupons or discounts. And best of all, they work quickly. I've never had a bad experience here, and have recommended them to several of my friends in the area. I'm so glad they're open on Sundays, because that's usually when I have time to get these kinds of chores done. I highly recommend this location if you need an oil change. read more

The employees were friendly. When I got there (around 1:30 on a Friday) there were no customers, so they took care of my oil change quickly. $45 for an oil change seems overpriced, though. They tried to get me to upgrade to high mileage oil or add in coolant or a filter change, but weren't too pushy. The waiting room was decent. They provided TV and coffee. Prompt service. I was in and out in 30 min, and when I arrived I was second in line. The up-sell (expected) was soft, and the folks there were courteous. There is water, decent coffee, and newspapers in the waiting room. Weekends are $10 off all day. I'll go back. read more

Not all oil change places, or Jiffy Lubes, are equal. I find these guys friendly, helpful, fast but thorough, and very light on the upsell. I know enough about auto maintenance and repair to know how much BS gets sold out there, and sold at huge markups. These guys have never been anything but helpful. This place has gone downhill. There's a particular employee--I don't know his name--who should never be in a customer-facing role. He's clearly dissatisfied with his life and takes it out on everyone. Last time I pulled in I asked how long it would take and he said 30 minutes. That sounded, um, optimistic, so I asked "30 min from now, or from when you start?" (There were other cars there.) He replied "Make up your mind, I've got work to do, the sooner we get to work the sooner you'll be out of here!" He also said "Yeah, I remember you" and not in a pleasant way... The time before that, I was told an hour but it was nearly two hours before they even started, and they didn't air my tires as I requested (had an upcoming road trip). This same guy acted like I was being demanding and unreasonable because I came back and asked them to finish the job. My car has sensors on the tires and three out of four read LOW! I was a long-time customer of the Spicewood Springs JL, but I won't be returning. Maybe JL will read all these recent reviews and can this guy--but probably not. read more

This place is awful. Run don't walk from here. Was quoted a price for an oil change on the phone and then again by the tech who was working on the truck. When I went to pay, the manager rung me up for $30.00 over estimate. When I challenged him he said that I should have talked to him and not the workers...he claimed they don't know pricing. Apparently it changes at the whim of the manager. These guys do nothing but change oil all day and they can't give me a correct price on a Chevy 350 V8?...one of the most common engines out there. After much arguing in front of several customers he backed down. Zero customer understanding by the manager. He should not be in front of people. I'll never go back obviously and you might want to think about it. BTW, I've never given a Yelp review of one star until now. read more

I've used them for a while and haven't had any issues. They offer a bunch of discounts, they tend to offer more discounts than other Jiffy Lubes I've seen around town. They've told me about issues with my car such as the washer fluid tank being cracked and let me know I'd be able to fix it myself. I haven't had them try to sell me unnecessary stuff and they always show me whatever it is that they suggest be replaced and explain why it should be. read more

I need to get an oil change on Christmas Eve and I came to this place, I didn't think there will be open since it's Christmas but they were. Oil change took 15 minutes which is very good compared to the other places I've been through. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable including the manager Brian who knew everything about my car. He recommended a fuel system cleaning service which I had no idea I need it and even though I couldn't get it at the time, I will definitely be back after the holidays to get the service done. I do not recommend this place. I went to this location just to get my state inspection done, during my lunch break, and when I arrived I was told that I only had one other person waiting in front of me, so I was expecting not to wait too long...I was wrong. About 5 minutes after arrival, a pretty, young, blonde, white woman came in and got immediate attention from not just one of the workers, but all 3 members of the staff working at that time. I waited a full hour and my car was in the exact same spot I had left it when I arrived. I left without my inspection being done, hence this review. Arrived at 9:20 am for a State Inspection. Was told that there are two in front of you so it would 45 minutes before they would have me done and out. Unfortunately they took care of more than two cars in front of me which I realized at 10:45. I am now running out of time. Inquired and was informed that they could not get to me before 11:00. I had another appointment and could not wait that long (more than twice the promised wait time) and had to leave. Complete waste of time. DO NOT GET YOUR INSPECTION DONE HERE!!! I went in early May for an oil change and inspection. They said they'd be 1 hour, I left my car and walked to my work which is near the Spicewood Springs location. 3 1/2 hours later I called because no one had called to let me know my car was ready, the tech said they were finishing it up. When I went to go get it I paid and came outside to my car (discovered they'd LEFT MY INTERIOR LIGHTS ON, don't know how long) where I learned I'd FAILED the inspection because of my gas cap. I went in to talk to the people and the guy was very rude and cited some state laws and said he didn't have to talk to me at all, so I left. Not going to get anywhere with someone like that. I thought the gas cap thing was fishy since my car is relatively new and it's an original part so I googled and drove to a nearby auto place where MY CAR PASSED INSPECTION. I did nothing to alleviate the "faulty gas cap," and it was passed in the same county less than 1 hour later. Best case scenario, their emissions machine is broken and they're failing people's inspections. Worst case scenario they're not doing the work and pocketing the money or straight up lying about it another way. I will NEVER go back to this location which is a shame because it's within walking distance to my work and I pretty much exclusively use it for oil changes. Not anymore! It's also worth noting that they put a big X through my still valid inspection that expires at the end of the month (27 days away) and marked my window as well. I went and looked at other reviews and learned they've had multiple thefts in the past so watch out for that as well. I wish I could leave a review for less than 1 star. read more

This is the best Jiffy Lube I have been to. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They are never pushy or rude, which has been my experience at several other locations. I have an older car which caused issues in the past, like they don't have my filter or they didn't put enough oil in the car, but this location is the exception. March 1, 2016 this location lost my keys after leaving them on the roof of my running car. I got to my location to pick up my three year old granddaughter and could not start my car and the alarm would start everytime I touched the car. Bottom line, I had to have the car towed and reprogramed with new key fobs, took three days and three trips across town. Total cost $855! After repeated contacts with this location, as well as corporate offices, I have only received a check for $427.50, with no explanation, no cover letter or any other communication. I made another call last Friday, 4/22/2016 and was assured someone from the corporate office would call me in two business day--still no contact. I don't have good feelings about their customer service, and they evidently don't care about my business or recommendations to others! read more

Stopped here because it is just a few hundred feet from home. Happy to support our local businesses. It was around 11am on a Thursday. I counted 3 employees. 2 of the 3 vehicle bays we're empty. Manager "Aleric" wasn't quite as neighborly as I was hoping, but got the job done. After I had parked and come into the office, he handed my keys back to me an asked me to pull my truck around. Had me enter my contact info directly into their dirty shop computer. Didn't offer a price quote or estimated completion time until I asked for it. $89 and change for 6 quarts of high milage oil (although they did say they would honor the $15 online coupon I found). As is typical for most of these places, they tried to sell me new air filters. Since I had replaced these recently and they were still fine, I think I impressed upon them that I wouldn't be an easy mark for extra services, so they didn't try to push anything else. All told, it took less than an hour (not so Jiffy, but OK) and the price was the same as promised. Overall they were OK in a pinch but think I will be taking our other vehicles there or recommending it to friends. Would have been an entirely different experience if they were just more friendly. read more

This was my 5th time coming this Jiffy Lube. The service has been good up until my most recent visit which was today. I normally change my own oil, but I now own a car with a cartridge filter. I changed the oil once myself, but it took me too long and was very messy. I didn't mind paying the extra money to stay clean, and they usually have me out within 20 minutes if it's not busy. However, on my most recent visit, they performed the usual oil change. After they were done, the technician drove my car forward with a stream of oil leaking from the bottom of my car. They told me that oil had pooled on my skid plate and it was nothing. Well, to have a pool of oil on my skid plate the oil had to be leaking from the engine somewhere (i.e. filter drain plug, oil pan drain plug, etc...). You cannot change the oil with the skid plate on. Then I saw them adding more oil to the car. I just felt that they were not telling me everything. I don't mind if they did something wrong and fixed it. I just don't like it when they don't tell me everything. I've been working on cars for over 10 years. Also, they didn't give me a new reminder sticker for the next oil change. The people there are very friendly and I'm sure they normally do great work. When it comes to my cars, I don't take chances. I think I will just start changing my own oil again. It's a lot cheaper and I can use full synthetic and not lose an arm and a leg. Just gotta get messy again. read more

Terrible customer service. I dropped off my vehicle to get a new head light and specifically asked if they can change out headlights for my exact type of vehicle. They assured me they could. Because they were going to take over an hour to get it to it I paid for a taxi across town so I could get to work and then I received a call from them that they were unable to fix my headlight because they don't carry the bulbs. That would have been GREAT to know before I paid a hefty taxi fee and when I could have gone to a different location that was able to service my vehicle before it gets dark and I risk getting a ticket. I have never used Jiffy Lube services before but after my experience today, i was quite impressed. I had been driving with a low tire pressure light going off for half of the day. I drive about 100 miles a day when working for home health and visiting patients, so the threat of having poor tires and control in any rainy condition (which was today), is very scary to me. After not being able to find any gas stations with air availability, I drove past this Jiffy Lube and was hoping for the best...and I got it. As I was parking, the assistant manager Kelvin called out to me and asked if I needed help with air for the tires. How he knew that, i don't know. This was also about 5 minutes before closing time. He helped direct my car into the part of the bay where the air pressure hose could more easily connect and checked all my tires, added air, and said that they were all just "a little low". No pressure to buy anything, no services needed other wise, and with a smile, Kelvin bid me a good day. Thank you to him for alleviating my anxiety about driving today with low tire pressure. read more

They just filled it up with what I got last time and asked for $100. I asked if they could check my AC also and the mechanic gave me a simple No without any further explanation. I am a Jiffy Lube customer. However, until I found this location, I was going to different locations trying to find a place that would not pressure me into services I could not afford. Everytime, yes each and everytime, I receive a friendly hello, my door is opened, I am escorted to the waiting area and given an estimate of how long I may have to wait. Yesterday I went for my inspection sticker, and the young man who checked me out told me they had aired my tires, topped all my fluids, and advised when I should come back for an oil change. I'm here for an inspection and I've been waiting over 45min and they haven't touched my car. The inspection ahead of me has an issue that they can't figure out. Also if there is an oil change that comes in, they get priority. What happened to first. One first serve?!?! I can appreciate them trying to fix the issue of the other inspection ahead of mine, but my car should take priority over the cars that arrived after mine. And the guy says he doesn't know how to fix it and he is trying to figure it out. We all shouldn't have to wait here while he attempts to fix it, right? read more

Update 4-14, had a couple of conversations with a very nice and professional operations manager by the name of Brian over the last week. He conducted an investigation and said they had multiple customer complaints of items missing from cars and that he was able to piece together from the shifts which employee had been stealing and the employee admitted guilt and was fired. Brian said the employee had sold the items off and could not return them. Brian stated the corporate office was pursuing criminal charges. They offered me two free premium oil changes which was a nice gesture. Brian made some statements like Jiffy Lube does not tolerate theft, would go to any length to solve this and protect the customer, Jiffy Lube learned from past mistakes and so forth - just what I wanted to hear! That is great customer service, well criminal background checks on employees prior to their hire would be better, but still I am happy! Bravo Brian! At this point I am satisfied and was going to update my review to "resolved". On 4-14, I happened to notice two Glock 17 magazines with 9mm ammo was missing from the glove box so I gave Jiffy Lube a courtesy call to let them know I was not seeking any additional oil changes or compensation but would be filing a police report and a detective would be contacting them for the terminated employees name and contact info. This is for my protection as my fingerprints are on these items. Here is when things go downhill again. As soon as I mentioned ammo, Brian passed me to his boss Craig (sp) because it became a more serious issue which is understandable. Craig did not give me an opportunity to tell him why I was calling, he just flew into telling how suspicious it was that I was calling back a week later to report more items missing to get more money or something from him (like anyone can name all the items littered around their cars, right?). So after 10 minutes of him going on and on about how his people are honest and none of them would steal and how they have never had any complaints and that he personally spoke to all the employees and none of them stole my knife... ya, really he said that... I asked Craig, why did Brian tell me he got an admission of guilt from an employee for the theft and the Jiffy Lube had terminated him and the corporate attorney was working on presenting evidence to the police (or whoever). Well, Craig said something to the effect of that did not happen. I asked why was I told it did and Craig said he had no knowledge of any of that and he would speak to Brian, I asked him to get Brian on the phone now so we could all talk about it and Craig said no, he was working (was free 10 minutes earlier). Craig (in an accusatory tone) said he read my review on line about what I said about him and said he did not know why I would want to return. I feel that was a hint that he did not want me to return to Jiffy Lube. Something smells fishy, how could the general manager not know about the investigation and termination of an employee with corporate involvement? Three weeks ago, I went in for a quick oil change. I got the $35 service. Five days later I noticed oil leaking out of many points of the engine. It was a slow but steady drip at first. I only drove the car less than 100 miles the whole week. When I checked the dip stick, I was expecting to see the oil level way low. However, it was just the opposite. The oil was way high above the Full line by about 10 inches or so. And that was with the car having been at rest for more than 5 minutes. So, the oil level was true and not a misread. Ironically, I had a car guy fixing something inside the car who will be my witness in the court proceeding who also will testify to the oil level being so high. They had massively overfilled the engine with oil. The result: virtually every seal ruptures and now I have oil coming out of the top, valve covers, out the rear main seal, and more places. The estimate to fix, as in to reseal the engine: about 22 hours of labor and a few hundred dollars in gaskets and seal parts. So, the advertised $24 dollar oil change turned into a $2,400 repair estimate. I called them and reported it immediately upon my discovering the issue. Trey and Brian, the managers at this location, were actually quite pleasant and seemingly cooperative. They didn't agree to anything but they kicked it upstairs to their warranty department. Well, long story short, after over 2 weeks of waiting, their warranty department informed me today that they are denying the claim. They state that there is no way to determine what caused the oil leaks, despite the fact that I have 2 independent mechanics who state that the overfill is the duck that quacks. I do have to say that at no point along the way was anyone disagreeable. Everyone has been friendly to a fault. But their denying what is obviously their negligence is dishonorable and shameful. I have contacted an attorney to consult on this and I will be proceeding to take them to court as soon as I have the repair bill from the folks I wished I had taken my car to to begin with. I will restate that Brian and Trey were professional the entire time. And so was the messenger who delivered the bad news. But it is shameful of Jiffy Lube to force someone to correct their mistake at a massively higher expense. read more

Went there today at 11:50am, wanted an oil change, 4 cars ahead of me, was told it would be 40 minutes, said ok, hour and 32 minutes later I was still 2 cars back, I left, can't think of reason to ever go back, Oh, if you go, check your fluid levels, they often only put in 5 quarts while charging you for six. why does city/ state let them continue! read more

Shoddy work. Took the car in for an inspection and the technician pointed out both license bulbs were burnt out. $13 EA. I gave the go ahead to replace one. A month later I picked up a packet of 2 bulbs for $5.79 from the auto parts store. I replaced the other bulb and when finished noticed both screws from the Jiffy Lube replaced bulb were hanging out sideways. Removed the screws to discovered the technician had crammed the housing in so that I couldn't remove it. Left it as-is and screwed in the housing properly. This is why I hate going to Jiffy Lube. I had another problem during a previous inspection which I won't go into but I thought I'd give them a second chance. Mistake. read more

Dipped the test strip in front of me and didn't try and hard sell me. I opted to get it flushed. I will be going back to use these guys. I love these guys. I've been going to them for a while now and they take great care of me every time. Once my brakes were squeaking and I took them to a Brake center that had a cheap "summer special" who showed me my brakes and told me it would be almost $700 and I had to get them done now because they were going to ruin my car at any minute and cost me tons more money. I brought it here as a second option. The manager told me how they are fine and the squeaking is due to dust (which I have heard before from my car's dealer) and I probably should have them rechecked in a few months. Saves me hundreds of dollars. I will keep going to them whenever I have an issue and recommend them to anyone who is looking because I know they'll be taken cared of. read more
