I needed my license plate light fixed and I brought in my own bulbs and the guys said they'd do it for free, no big deal! I warned them that with my car its pretty tricky to fix and might take them longer than anticipated. And it did take longer to fix. Still free of charge. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This place practices shady and unethical service. My father which is a 70 year old man that has somewhat a language barrier had a horrible experience here. He first took his vehicle around May to get an oil change, things went normal, no discrepancies. Then he went again for his next appointment on first weekend of November, service was done and it went normal; which was not the case. During the week he noticed and abnormal amount of oil on the driveway due to a leak from the drain plug. Take note this is a 2015 Lincoln Navigator that had no prior issues with any engine oil components. We got under and to our surprise the bolt was stripped and they seem to have added some kind of sealant. We went to inquire about the damage done to his vehicle and this is where the poor ethical business showed their true colors. When we went up to the counter ans started stating the situation to an associate he looked at us and just walked away into the shop. Then eventually another associate came up to and directed us to the manager. We explained the simple fact that the first time in May we came there was no problem with the drain plug and no leak. Then explained how we came back in November for the follow up appointment and we discovered the damage. My father had not gone to any other place to get an oil change prior that. Also pointed out their low life action of not pointing this out when it happened at their shop thinking they were going to get away with it because my father is an elderly man with an language barrier. Despicable.This poor example of leadership followed by denying every part of responsibility and accused us of creating this situation to get monetary compensation. He did not even consider any kind of negotiation. Then he followed by telling us to leave, I guess the fuzz in front of the clients was not favorable. He was very rude and unprofessional. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE THE 2.5/5 with 98 reviews is telling you to stay away. Bad experience here for me and I wish I could give less than a one star. My experience happened months ago and it has bothered me enough that this is my first ever Yelp review. I needed an oil change and it was the first time for me in my new car. This place was close so I came here. I went in and set down while they looked at my car and then A man came in and told me he wanted to talk. He spoke really fast Spanglish. I honestly wanted him to slow down. He made me put my hand on the hood and told me it was too hot and that radiator needed flushed. He told me that my car was overheating and then told me two prices for an oil change. I was kind of in shock at all this because I just wanted my g**d*** oil changed!!! One was in the eighties and the one I chose was in the sixty dollar range- the cheapest one he gave me. I chose that one because this was a new car for me and a new oil number (I used to have a car that took different oil) so I had no idea even though I thought it was high. I immediately call my dad and uncle and they said I was being ripped off. I did not flush the radiator like the man said I needed. I had been in the hot sun all day in Austin and driving in the summer time, but when he said it, it freaked me out. I spent weeks after that worried about the heat in my car until I had someone look at it and they told me it was completely normal. Now, I just got my oil changed for the second time at a different place... $29! Took them about ten minutes, didn't really even talk to me all that much but were polite. Unreal! My prime reason for going here is that it is a block away, so rather than sit in a grungy waiting area, I can just go home and wait. I will only go here for oil changes, however, that is now changing. They recently got rid of their value oil change, leaving me baffled when a simple oil change rang up for $50. I always get great customer service when I go here, and it's so convenient, but I truly am mad that they got rid of this service which was so consistently advertised, that I never would have expected I would need to double check they still had the promotion, considering this was my 5th oil change here. read more

No matter which location I visit, these guys just cannot seem to get this car maintenance thing right. Being a female, I know my experience is different than a guys, but I get the feeling that both men and women have a less than stellar experience here. I attempted to use them at this location after years of protest and banning them. My small company was looking for a place to take care of all of our cars and after a recommendation from an employee who said she had a good experience at this location only, we decided to break my dry-spell with JL................... Well, that didn't last long. 1 experience after years of none and it still the same cr*ppy service they provided years ago. No wonder those 'poor' guys are standing on the street with a sign telling us to 'come in now' for a discount. They can't buy customers at this point I think. They should've thought ahead instead of siding with greed. Oh wait, I haven't mentioned why I wont use ANY JL ever again: -every time I went they told me I needed a new air filter. Knew this was superfluous after I went to another oil change place and they told me it was fine, I went 2 days after my JL experience. -They recommend services that are not needed. They kept convincing me I needed the full flush for another $100 or whatever (been too long). Found out via a car repair person who knows their stuff that this service isn't always good for all cars and definitely isn't needed as frequently as they suggest. Plus I don't think they have idea of the possible negative effects of a full flush, but are commissioned or told to sell it to everyone, not based upon actual need. -The guys that work there, I don't trust them. Especially after a special on TV that showed an undercover reporter getting the same BS as me, almost exactly. They showed how the suggestions JL made weren't necessary for any reason, but just a money making, taking advantage of the lack of knowledge, situation. So,, with that, I will NEVER use them again. They have used up all the chances I gave 'em. Sorry guys you chose the right place for the wrong kind of auto mechanic to work. As long as you stay in a place for jerks like you, I'm sure to stay far away and use local companies only. read more

An hour later and I still had not been updated and there were 3-4 other people who were helped with inspections before me and they had arrived after me. Just wasted an hour of my life for a car inspection that never happened. When I arrived I was told I was next in line and it would be about 15 or 20 minutes. After an hour I ask about my car and they tell me they're just about to start the inspection. Their excuse was inspections take time my position is then you need to let me know upfront that the way could be well over an hour instead of the 15 to 20 minute lie. I see now by reading the reviews that this is common practice and I should expect the obligatory comment from someone from the business that I should "give their leadership team a second chance". This place is alway out of stock on multiple items, came Monday for oil change on my Chevy Malibu and the guy said they were out. I come back Friday and they do my oil change , I asked if they can check my air filter and sure enough I need a new one but they were out of stock for it. The guy in the front said I could go to auto zone and have them do it, exactly what I did but the autozone guy said they can't switch it for me. I go back to jiffy lubes and asked if they can do it with the one I got from auto zone since they were out. They guy very rude told me they can't change it because it's not from there products and I can't go to a restaurant with my own steak and ask them to cook it for me and if I am desperate to go to a nearby restaurant and ask a random guy to change it for me for $5. I simply told the guy that I needed a simple no and not his extra rudeness and left. Very upset and will not be returning anytime soon. -- Every one else was very nice but that one man, need new management if he is the one to go speak to the customers. Update!!! The next day (Saturday) my car started to not want to run once I turned it on and would shut off on its own as soon as I got off work. 2 hours stuck at work and $80 gone for the mechanic to tell me that the guys didn't attach everything back the right way when they checked my air filter. I have been going to this location for about a year and half so yesterday I went in to get an inspection and my oil topped off. I was told by the person that checked me in that it would be "15 minutes for the current car to be finished and then 15 minutes for your car to be inspected. So you should be in and out in 30 minutes". That was prefect since I had to be somewhere. Fast forward to an hour later and my car is still not being inspected. I checked with the guy who told me the above only to be told that he said it would be at least an hour. That sounds nothing like what he said to me. Thanks for the lie buddy! So he went and checked with the inspector who said it would be 10 minutes to finish the car she was working on and then mine would take 10 minutes. You can probably guess where this is going. 20 minutes later they pulled a different car into the bay and mine still sat there. Thanks for wasting what little free time I have and lying to me. However I've tried to come in at three different times to get my vehicle inspected, and every time there's an excuse as to why the inspector can't do it. Took the wife's car down to this joint. The typical bombardment of services needed: radiator flush, transmission fluid is low, blah, blah, blah. No, man....just change the oil. And they did, for around 28 bucks, which I gladly paid rather than sliding under her car and doing it myself. But lo and behold, a few days later, her car started spotting oil in the driveway. Went back, told 'em to check the filter or drain plug, maybe that was causing the leak, and they said they couldn't find anything. Days after that, it was like Spy Hunter pulled in the driveway with the smoke screen blazing. Burning oil everywhere and the leak was steadily getting worse. After my last review the Regional Manager, Mike reached out to me immediately and we set up a time for me to come in and have the glove box fixed. I went this morning and they took care of me right away. Both the manager and Mike were extremely nice and he explained why they were in the glove box (air filter) and that it wasn't broken, it just hadn't been put back together correctly. At no point did they make me feel dumb about not knowing this about my car (new to car ownership) and he showed me how to put it back together in the future. I'm not really one to write a review, however I am the type to read them. So I thought it would be appropriate to start writing reviews since I'm so dependent on them! I've had two different experiences with this Jiffy Lube location - both were very positive! The first experience, I biked down to this location to see if they sold jumper cables. Unfortunately, they did not. However, the manager did offer to drive down the street to where my car was to jump start it using his cables. While I was waiting for the manager to finish up a car he was working on, another nice gentleman offered his services. Once my car was jumpstarted, I drove down to that same location and the manager looked at my battery. Before charging me to replace it, he asked me if I had a warranty on it. If I did, then I could get it replaced free at another place instead of having to buy a brand new one at their location. During this situation, I was already emotional drained and the warranty of my battery did not even cross my mind. I was at a point where I was ready to throw any amount of money to just get my car fixed and running again. Thank goodness for the honest and sweet manager! He told me where the nearest AutoZone was (where my battery was under warranty) and I got a new battery changed for free! The Jiffy Lube manager saved me over a hundred dollars! He selflessly let me know that my battery may have still been under warranty! Great person! The second experience I had at this location was a few weeks later and was just as positive! The same manager greeted me with a smile and even remembered me from my first experience! I needed an oil change and he handled it in a quick manner! I told him that I had a sign language class that I had to be at in 30 minutes. He said he would take 10 minutes - and he really only took 10 minutes! I appreciate people who are true to their words, so I was very grateful! Not only did he provide his services in a timely manner and with a smile, but he also gave me a $10 discount! It did not seem like there was a specific reason or promotion, so he simply gave me the $10 discount out of his good-heartedness! Thanks for providing such a heartfelt experience for me! read more

I had recently took my VW in for an oil change at this location. A couple days later I noticed a puddle of oil under my car so I took a look and found that the drain plug was not put back correctly causing a small leak, not angry about the whole incident since I caught the issue in time, it's just be more careful with peoples cars that could have cost someone a lot of money if drive a long period of time with no oil. read more

I went here for an inspection and the inspector failed me for my tint being too dark and for my tires' tread being too low. I tried to argue that there was no reason I should've failed but she kept saying the tint was too dark. I went to a different establishment and they passed me and showed me the tint reader to prove my tint passed. I took my receipt from the other place back to jiffy lube and showed them that I passed. It was a different inspector this time and he showed on his tint reader that I did pass and he let me know my tires were fine to pass as well. They refunded me my money without questions asked so that's why I'm still giving them three stars instead of one. read more

I reserve my emotions and strictly comment on the service. I was allowed to be yelled at and shouted out directions to pull into a bay for an oil change at a tight angle. When I wasn't successful doing it myself the first time I was met with an annoyed, impatient mechanic shouting at me and yelling I wasn't listening. I asked was he ok? He kept yelling until the manager heard, came over to my window and I said are you the manager? He said yes and I explained his mechanic was yelling and I could not follow him shouting at me could he assist he said but you're not listening. I said I cannot understand why he's shouting I'm listening but this is intolerable. The mechanic then shouts "Just leave, get out of here go home!" So I said you know what I'm fine, I'll go somewhere else! You do know this is a company car and we have a fleet account I will report this." I never raised my voice or gave any indication that I had any issue with not wanting to listen to the guidance to properly pull into the bay but the line they created for inspections made the angle very difficult and if they felt I was incapable they could have,as I've experienced every other time at other locations, pulled in my vehicle for me and eliminated this entire inconvenience. Jonathan and Greg gave me exceptional service. I couldn't get my carpets vacuumed because I had luggage in my vehicle for a trip so they discounted my price and cleaned my headlights for me. There were a lot of people waiting but I still felt the service was personalized and expedient. I was concerned because of the bad reviews and any company is only as good as the person providing service so if this location keeps Jonathan and Greg employed with them they might be able to turn around their reputation. read more

Surprised to see so many negative reviews. I had a very good experience with this jiffy lube. They really went above and beyond what I would have expected. I got my oil changed here a couple of days ago, and the next day my car broke down. I thought it might possibly have something to do with that since I had just been there so I called and someone from that location came to me (my car dead in an HEB parking lot) to check it out. Ultimately it had nothing to do with the service performed at their shop, but he still helped me jump the car and diagnose the problem. Super nice, very helpful. Thank you! read more

I will never go back here again and am very upset with how a situation of stolen property was handled. SHORT STORY: Expensive eyeglasses went missing from my car during an oil change, and I have not received reimbursement. LONGER STORY: Months ago, I got an oil change at this Jiffy Lube, and a pair of Ray Ban eyeglasses went missing from my car. After a bit of back and forth, it was shared with me that my glasses ended up "in someone else's car." I submitted receipt for my replacement glasses and was promised reimbursement. I have checked back in with the management many times over the ensuing months; I have not been reimbursed. read more

I have always heard great things about this location, and I was not let down! My tire pressure light came on and I wanted to make sure there weren't any serious issues. I was helped right when I walked in, and was able to pull into the service garage to get my tires looked at. The mechanic was efficient and nice - he filled up my tires and I was on my way. Took my car here for an inspection and oil change. Waited 1.5 hours. Failed inspection because the brake fluid was low (but paid for the inspection and was told to fill up the brake fluid then bring it back and they would pass it super fast). Filled up the fluid, came back and was placed back in the queue. Now I am waiting again. Been here for an hour. What fresh hell is this? Asked several employees about it and no one has an answer except to talk to the manager who is no where to be found. That's right, they made me look around the garage for him instead of getting him.
