This place is usually packed, and for good reason. The employees here are incredibly honest, helpful, and do thorough work. My tire pressure was low and they helped me fix it. A friend had suggested that I get my tires rotated and after the employees at Jiffy Lube took a look at my car, they said that it probably wouldn't be necessary. My car got fixed very easily and they were able to save me time and money. They open at 7am and if you don't want to wait in line, I recommend getting there at that time. They always have lots of customers, so getting there early is worth it. read more

Just came here to get a quick oil change, wanna be in and out as fast as possible. First thing that happens when I get here is I am told to pull in to the first garage...so that's exactly what I begin to do. I was unaware that I was not supposed to pull all the way in and preceded to get yelled at by one of the techs in an extremely rude manner. Look man I don't work here, I don't know where my car is supposed to be and I sure as hell can't read a techs mind when he tells me to pull in. What a ridiculous way to act towards a customer. I will definitely think twice before I come to this jiffy lube based on this experience alone. Dear reader: If you're anything like me, you may have waited a bit too long to get your registration renewed. Now, you're probably running around trying to squeeze an inspection in ASAP. WELL, LOOK NO FURTHER - this Jiffy Lube is the place for you. Ask for Nick or Jesus to help you out. They are the assistant managers on property and actively work the floor. Nick and Jesus provided me with such attentive, quick service. Their inspection goes above and beyond, takes about 15-20min, and costs $18.50 on the dot! Though you can't schedule an exact appointment for an inspection, you can still call ahead of time to get an honest estimated wait. They are very active in making sure everyone is seen and in-and-out as soon as possible! On top of that, I never felt I was being pushed to get any additional, unnecessary services. They are trustworthy employees, who consistently reassured me that I was in control of every decision. They are knowledgeable and were great at speaking in terms that I was able to understand. They were accommodating, patient and kind addressing all my questions, and even waited a few minutes after close for me to get my car. Prices are affordable and they include many complimentary services with their oil change. (Disclaimer: no car wash onsite - BUT they vacuum your car!) Plus, they work hard to show appreciation to ALL of their customers with many available discounts based on services. They are big on loyalty and focus on quality customer return. Dropped in for a quick oil change. The staff seemed friendly and capable of doing their job. They like most oil change places try and up sell you for items that are pure profit for their bottom line. The most surprising thing was that they charge a lot for oil changes. Had I know the cost prior to them starting on my car I would have ran out of there so fast they would have just seen a streak. I have paid more than that for an oil change before but that was at BMW and everyone knows its expensive to maintain European cars. I brought in a Ford Focus... I dropped in to my local JL needing an oil change. It starts out as a normal experience... I wait in the lobby, there's a Night Court marathon playing on their little TV. After a while they call my name & do their whole air filter spiel. I need one but know it's a ripoff. They offer to give me a $5 discount on the air filter, so I say what the heck, and tell them to install a new one. Another 30 minutes later I'm curious what's taking so long... my car is just sitting out back, it hasn't been in the bay for a while. Eventually the desk guy comes back, calls my name and apologizes for the wait. He says they were "thrown some curveballs." I ask what he means, and his answer doesn't make sense. Whatever. I'm driving home and I notice my car is idling weird. Its making a vibrating noise every time I stop. If they weren't closing up, I would have gone back. Alas, I rattled on. Later that night, as I'm idling in a parking lot waiting on a car in front of me... my car starts to sputter and I have to quickly hit the gas before it stalls out. This is a 2010 Honda! It has never stalled out before. It should not be stalling out now. I'm angry at this point. I know Jiffy Lube did something. The next day I take my car to my dealership to have them check it out. They look it over and tell me -- there is NO air filter installed -- and the housing isn't even bolted down. They just ripped out the old one and sent me on my way! I called Jiffy Lube today to complain and they say "oh yeah we had somebody else call saying the same thing happened. I think we need to talk to one of our employees." What?? What kind of joke is this place? The guy on the phone offers to fix it and throw in a free air filter. Not a chance. Jiffy Lube will never touch another car of mine. read more

HORRIBLE service. I've been here three times and each time the mechanics spent more time trying to get out of doing the work than anything else. I got a state inspection done and they didn't scrape the old sticker's glue off, just slapped the new sticker on the windshield above it and told me it was my problem now. **Save your time and go to the Jiffy Lube down the road on Oltorf and I35 where their customer service is fantastic and they actually care. read more

I will never go to jiffy lube again because of this place. I needed a change, and like Jamie they told me I needed radiator service with a $15 dollar special. I was a naive first oil change ever kind of guy. What really got em though was shortly after then change my car stated leaking oil all over the place and spewing out smoke. Apparently they had bent the oil filter while checking my oil. shortly thereafter the water pump died and the serpentine belt kept flying off. While my car may have been on its last legs before Jiffy Lube, I feel certain that they hastened its decline. Not only are they scam artists, they are also highly incompetent. read more

It was a weird experience. I drove up and waited in my car. No one came to greet me, so I finally just got out and went inside. No one was at the desk, so I sat down and started doing some work and making some phone calls I needed. After 20 minutes, someone called out my car and took my keys and information. I was a bit concerned about how long it would take since it took that long to acknowledge me, but it was done in 10 minutes. Not bad, Jiffy Lube, not bad! I usually get better customer service at my regular place, but they take A LOT longer. I also appreciated that they didn't try to sell me an air filter "install" or anything like that. read more

I recently went to Jiffy Lube # 2006 in Austin, TX to get an oil leak and my thermostat fixed in order to pass for an inspection sticker. I had been in a few weeks earlier to get an oil change and this is when the manager Matt informed me of the problems with my truck and stated it would take about 2 hours to fix and would cost around $200. I called this morning to confirm this information and Matt stated this was correct and therefore I said I would be in at 10:00. When I arrived I told the attendant what I needed done, I handed over my keys showed him my insurance policy and then had a seat inside. A few minutes later another worker called me up to the desk and said they did not fix gas leaks. I told him that Matt had told me otherwise and he said he would go out to confirm with him- he never returned to confirm or deny. Many other customers came and went while I waited patiently believing my vehicle was being serviced. 2 hours later Matt called me out into the shop but instead of telling my vehicle was fixed he responded by saying they did not have the right part to even fix my truck- nor did any of the affiliates Jiffy Lube worked with- but I might want to go to another company all together. Thus since the gas leak and thermostat could not be fixed I could not pass inspection- but I still would have to pay the $28.75 to get the paperwork to show that I failed. Help me understand why the manager failed to show initiation by not check the inventory to determine if they had the correct parts in stock when I arrived or perhaps even when I got off the phone with him. I waiting around for 2 hours for no apparent reason. I can't tell you how to do your business, but I can offer my opinion and suggestion- If Jiffy Lube is just an "Manager Special" oil changing, tire rotating, sticker inspection company -just tell people that- it's ok, trust me they would rather you be honest with them up front instead of making them waste valuable time. read more

Can I give negative stars? Just had the worst experience here trying to get my car inspected. I'm told that my parking brake doesn't work, so I take it to my favorite Firestone, a full service place that knows brakes and they check the parking brake and NOTHING IS WRONG. They tell me the inspector was probably improperly trained. So I go back to the Jiffy Lube, and they REFUSE to pass me. Even though I have proof, I attempted to fix the "bad parking brake", and after all that, they refuse to give me a refund on the inspection OR my oil change I got before the first "failed" inspection. Get an inspector who knows what they're talking about. Pictures attached of my "fail" and the Firestone who checked and confirmed my parking brake is fine. You'll notice one of the employees at the Jiffy Lube gave me a handwritten $15 off oil change for next time. Cart before horse! Oltorf and 35. I pulled up in to bay 1. First mistake! Waited approximately 15 t min. No one aproched me. Then I feel someone releasing my oil! Still no discussion about what offerings they have. I had to ask the nearest guy. No intro. I said what synthetic do you have? Only Pennzoil. I asked price? $45regular, $93 for synthetic! More than twice the amount of regular. Thats wrong! But I'm stuck because I have no oil! I asked what if I don't want their offerings? They the young man said they would put regular oil in a send me on my way! P.s they. Only have FRAM oil filters, not the best! Our cars are a considerable investment to us! Went for an oil change 6 months ago at this Jiffy Lube. Today I got an oil change at my car dealer because an engine light was on that needed to be checked also. 1) Turns out if you need Dexos oil, it will cost you 2x as much as Jiffy Lube. I won't say that this spot isn't busy, it's in a hot spot and as a result you may have to wait. How many people showing up can be so unpredictable for the service industry. I feel they do the best they can. Fortunately for me I pass it by daily so I have no problem observing and either passing it by or pulling in when there is a better opportunity to pop in. Now 30-45 minute wait isn't horrible for the types of services being provided but I have the luxury of choosing to wait or drive by it daily to seek better opportunity. So my 5 star is directly attributed to my handful of interactions and/or observations with Patricio! He is consistently pleasant and is truly vested in what he recommends. The previous time I went in to soon for my routine oil change and he sent me on my way to assure I got the most out of what I already paid for. Today, several months later, the same thing happened to another customer who came in to soon. While I never want to think that someone would just do the oil change and take the money, realistically this happens so I was impressed with how he shared the information with her playfully as not to insult her and he was not going to complete the oil change unless she insisted. Just wanted an oil change it is a Fiat 500 so that appears to have been the issue. When I first arrived a rep stated we will need to be sure we have an oil filter in stock, pulled into the bay & payment was immediately taken before "starting" guess that fine if a customers payment is declined so ok. Process started seems they were having diff accessing the area where the oil housing is lots of going back & forth to find the right tool? (I guess) Then suddenly there was no one around (maybe lunch time?) Another rep came back & was asking the what type of oil. They asked me to look at my receipt (odd) so advised. Rep casually said to me "see what I'm dealing with (the F word was used) I was just not sure what I got my self into cause once you're in the bay you can't leave....then about a day later the warning lights began to alert me that there is an oil pressure issue & to stop the car immediately...Took it back to the place I purchased the car....Turns out Jiffy Lube had broke the oil filter & housing was damaged...$215 for a new housing & $900 in labor..just got the car back today...will need to approach Jiffy Lube for reimbursement so hoping that won't be difficult...we shall see... read more

We were in Austin for business and needed to change the oil on our box truck. While they do not stock the type of filter needed, they were willing to change the oil if we were able to bring a filter to them. We went to a couple of local part stores who looked up the truck info and sold us a filter. After removing filter and draining the oil it was discovered we were sold the wrong filter! The Jiffy Lube Assistant Manager, Adam, then got on the phone with the old filter in hand calling numerous part stores in the area until he found one with the correct filter in stock, then even sent an employee to pick it up for us. This establishment, and especially their assistant manager, truly exemplified exceptional customer service. read more

I just got my oil changed at this Jiffy Lube. So disappointed in their customer service and in the work. I was very specific up front about what I needed, we're going on a road trip to Tennessee and I wanted to make sure the oil was changed as well as the air pressure on the tires checked and inflated. I use synthetic oil, as per the instructions in the car's manual. Walmart always has charged $49.00 and Jiffy Lube had the nerve to charge me $98.00 for the exact SAME SERVICE. Also they lied to me about filling up the tires, I had to stop and do it at a gas station on my way home. So, very, angry and upset!!! read more

We moved to a different city and our local oil change shop (who is rated 5 stars and won best shop in the county) told us that they could not work on our car because the plug or something related to the oil change was shut with an impact plug (I really have no idea what any of this means, but regardless, he told us Jiffy Lube is known for doing this since it's the lazy way to finish the job - we didn't even tell him we went to JL, he just knew because he's seen this before from them). We ended up coming back to Jiffy Lube, and it took them about 90 minutes to change the oil, which is understandable since whoever sealed it off last messed it up pretty bad. Turns out that this is common since there are previous reviews saying the same thing. Then, at the end, the guy said he is there all throughout the week and has never seen this happen before, trying to place the blame on us, in a passive aggressive manner. (Confusion sets in). In conclusion, I don't ever feel it's necessary to talk poorly on a business, especially since these guys are just trying to get through the day, but there's obviously someone employed here who is trying to take the lazy way out and get things done quicker, resulting in more problems with your car. read more

Not only was the guy who attempted to check me talk down to me, presumably because I am female, he also informed me that the State Certified Inspector could not inspect my vehicle because it is "too tall." It's a 4Runner. If that's too tall for you, you should probably find another line of work. Especially in Texas where half the vehicles that come your way are probably large trucks. This place is a joke. If I could give it zero stars I would. With the already bad ratings, I didn't have high expectations in the first place. I purchased a headlight bulb and was unable to be helped at a previous store. I went to Jiffy Lube hoping someone could help me. I walked in and the person at the front desk wouldn't even come up to me. So things weren't off to a great start. I told him that I needed help with the lightbulb change and he said "you need to drive your car out to the front the manager is out there I don't know how much it'll cost to you." Great customer service right off the bat. So I get back in my car and drive out to the front. I get to the manager roll down my window and ask if he can help me. He promptly says "we don't do that you'll have to go somewhere else." And I just simply asked him why he can't help me change a lightbulb. He then started to yell at me, and told me that if I spoke to him that way he would sell me nothing. I have never been treated with so much disrespect and especially when I just needed help. He could have easily explained to me that they only do oil changes. I didn't know, I assumed they were mechanics, I guess that was my mistake. But I will say, if they can't even change a lightbulb there's no way they're touching my oil. I will absolutely never go to a Jiffy Lube ever ever ever again. This is the most disrespectful treatment I've ever received at an auto place. Part of me wants to think it's because I'm a woman.
