I absolutely LOVE this Jiffy Lube! My husband and I bring our cars here instead of the one around the block from our home because the customer service here cannot be beat. I think the manager's name is Joseph and he is the reason we keep coming back. He is professional, welcoming and always goes the extra mile with our cars. I have a solstice, which is my baby, and he always takes perfect care of it! Normally I would only go to the dealer but this guy fixed my headlight (wiring shortage) completely free of charge over a year ago and it has worked perfectly ever since. This USED to be my spot. Justin had me drive my vehicle into the shop and then get out and meet him inside. (At my automotive shop we never let customers Drive their vehicle into the shop it's a liability but maybe not for Jiffy Lube) We walked in and there were clipboards with paperwork on the counter that Justin swiftly through onto the floor with his arm. Stating he does not like clutter. It was very loud and obnoxious. Also a little alarming. As all of the clipboards and paperwork sat on the floor he started my paperwork. This kid was obnoxious, aggressive and condescending. A little rough around the edges for customer service. He put my paperwork on a clipboard and I proceeded to watch him walk into the shop and chuck the clipboard on my windshield. Now being in the auto glass business myself I about wanted to choke him out. If he would have scratched my windshield he would be paying for another one. He came in and of course told me I needed a new filter, when do they not, and I said no. He said are you sure it's really dirty, I said fine go ahead. Justin then told me my coolant was low and he could top it off for me for 3.99. I said okay fine go ahead. Right after he added the filter and the coolant charge to my bill they closed my hood and we're done. I immediately walked out there and said I just paid 3.99 for you to top off my coolant and I also paid for a new air filter. A different gentleman in the garage said oh the filter is done from the bottom. What kind of an idiot do you take me for?! I said you did not change my filter and you did not top off my coolant. The gentleman reopened my hood and said let me check your coolant. He said you're barely below the full line and you don't need it. I said then he needs to take that charge off my bill. Then some other kid comes around the corner with a new filter and changes my filter. (From the top)... Like they were going to charge me for those two things and let me drive away not doing them?? I'm standing right there watching you in the window! I'm in the automotive business. My company services the entire State of California and a few surrounding states. We do not allow that kind of customer service and we won't be associated with anybody that does. Will not recommend. And no Jiffy Lube I'm not going to send you my best contact information because all I see is you sending generic apologies but not doing anything about it. It's a shame. read more

This was my first time here, and I was overdue for an oil change and in need due to an upcoming holiday drive. From the get go, Gabe treated me like he would a family member, explaining what I needed and what I didn't need quite yet. Used to going to the Honda dealership, where you're made to feel like a loser for not going for the full package, Gabe made the process both easy and affordable. So appreciated!! Visited today and arrived at 8:05 There was one car ahead of me. Nearly an hour later, I asked why my car was taking so long. Brian S. was the first person I spoke with. He was honest and apologized, saying they don't fully staff until 9:00 AM. Tough on the customers who come in at 8:00, expecting the business to be up and ready to give service in a reasonable time. Their name IS Jiffy, isn't it? I was fine with how Brian S. handled the bad situation. I asked to see the manager, and was going to ask for a discount of some sort. Joseph Z is the whole reason I am writing this bad review. If they had simply taken a ridiculously long time, I would not bother with a review When I told Joseph Z how long I had been there, he actually told me I was wrong and that it had been 23 minutes! Twice he insisted, until I reminded him I sat for over half an hour until he came with any paperwork. This is right after the only other employee there had confirmed I had a very long wait and apologized. Once Jospeh Z realized his mistake, he offered a small apology for misstating the time. I left there knowing I would not ever return again. This is the absolute first time I have ever written a negative Yelp review, always have offered 5 stars to businesses that deserve the recognition. I can only hope the company has video with audio and can review all of this, as it is entirely true. read more

they over flooded my coolant reservoir causing a need for a major repair to my coolant system, when I tried filing a complaint to get a refund they gave me a number to some Corporate Office in Texas where I spoke with a rude country accent man who claimed to be a supervisor but not know the difference between oil change and coolant, very frustrating! This place is a rip off. I went there to get my oil changed. The guy comes out about 1 minute later and says "You need a new air filter. This one is very dirty." This seemed strange to me since I changed the air filter only 1 week before. When I told him that he continued to press the point. I said "Just change the oil. That's all". Joseph is very rude and clearly hates his job. The way he talks to customers is very non friendly and customer service oriented. I watched him with all the customers it was ridiculous. I said fix my problem and he all of a sudden pulls out a coupon for me. They have a million coupons floating around that he wouldn't honor and said well it's your problem. How is it my problem you don't honor coupons with your name and a current expiration date. I will NEVER RETURN TO A JIffy Lube. Awful experience! read more

Mehhhhh, it's a typical Jiffy Lube. They try to upsell you everything under the sun, but because it's close to my work, and they are relatively fast (under 40 minutes for an oil change usually on my 12-1 lunch break!), I brought my husband and my own car here in the past week. I like the fact that they vacuum your car and clean the windows for you, that is a very nice touch, but I don't appreciate the "scare" tactic" that they try to use to get you to buy things. $13 for you to replace a light bulb, when I can buy 2 for $6 and do it myself? No thanks. $30 tire rotation, "but you NEED it." Sorry, don't have time. $4 to "top off my coolant?" Plus needing a new air filter? EVERY TIME I get my oil changed, they tell me my filter looks so dirty that it must be at least a year old... Hmmmm nope! You replaced it last time!!! Haha, I appreciate you telling me what's actually WRONG with my car, but maybe quit the upsell over charge! read more

Waited well over an hour to be told there was no oil left for my car. They tried selling me $110 oil despite me having a Groupon. I drive a Chevrolet Sonic... Even the most notice of technicians should be able to tell my car needs cheap oil. They wasted my time, weren't sorry, and then tried to sell me what I don't need. Avoid! read more

DON'T GO HERE! I went to Jiffy Lube in Carlsbad back in 2008. I was new to the area as I had just started a new job. My car was in need of a basic oil change since it had not been done in quite some time. In the past, I have had reliable mechanics do the job for me at a good price when I was living in L.A. and O.C. Since I had not established myself in the area yet and had no knowledge of places to go, I decided to take my car into Jiffy Lube. Big mistake. This was my first time going to any Jiffy Lube. When I pulled my car up, all I requested was an oil change. That's it. The guy that greeted me tried to sell all this other crap to me that I did not need. After turning down everything, I guess they did not get the message. As they were working on my car, one of the morons working on my car had in his hands MY FREAKIN AIR FILTER! He comes up to me, air filter in hand, and said "sir, your air filter is dirty and i recommend replacing it." Very frustrated at this point as my experience thus far had bee nothing but a pain in the a $ $, I angrily (but calmly) said "no thanks... can you now please put my air filter in its rightful place?" To top it all off, of course they tack on all these phantom fees and charges. The total for an oil change cost me more than it would have cost to have one done at the Acura or Honda dealership! No joke! That is the last time I'm going to any Jiffy Lube. I don't recommend going to this Jiffy Lube unless you enjoy getting ripped off and pissed off! read more

I'm giving the place 2 stars b/c I love Jiffy Lube but beware of this one! The punk putting the cover back under my car didn't replace it correctly so it would scrap the ground every time I went over a bump on the highway. Fortunately an EZ Lube at the exit where I discovered the problem fixed it for no charge including a few bolts that the punk must have thrown out when he realized they wouldn't work with the way he had replaced the cover. With unemployment rates as they are, I'm sure they could find better staff if they wanted to. read more

I brought my 2012 Honda CRV here for it's first oil change. I also brought my 6"3, 285 pound husband who is missing a front tooth so there was no "misunderstandings" that could take place. There was not much the guy could sell me on anyway since the car is brand new. He was very friendly, and told us exactly what the process and estimated time would be. They did up sell us on the kind of oil, but it was because it was what the manufacturer recommended, and they also gave us a discount for upgrading (on top of my coupon that I came in with). I normally take my car to a dealership, but this was way more convenient and quick. I am always leary of the quality of job done in these "quickie" places, but they seem to have done it right here. read more

I have cooled off now but they will get a 1 next time I have to wait. I arrived with just one car ahead of me hoping for an easy in and out. Well getting in was easy but getting one of the 4 employees to ring me up was damn near impossible. This is the second time this has happened but they would rather enter new cars, Than let the completed cars pay and leave. 15 minutes for oil change and a 15 minute wait while service lady accepted 4 new cars coming in, that were going to wait. My last oil change, I went to a Jiffy Lube off El Camino in Encinitas. They gave me a sticker with the mileage for my next oil change. Since I used synthetic oil, my car alerted me to get an oil change before I met the mileage that Jiffy Lube suggested. I waited a few months and I still hadn't hit the mileage, but was concerned since my car's 'change oil' light was still on. So i took it to the Jiffy Lube on Paseo Del Norte. I was greeted by someone right away, and only had to wait a few minutes for the guy to help me. I REALLY WISH i got his name, as he was super nice. He looked up my car and said it wasn't time for an oil change yet, but we wanted to check out my oil level. It was low and said I only needed a little and he would take care of it. Turns out it needed 1 1/2 quart of oil. I went to pay him for the top off and he said it was on them. I feel like nothing is free these days, so i thought it was a very nice gesture. read more

I like this Jiffy Lube location. There have been a couple of times where they got backed up and it took longer than expected, but the service is always good and its usually fast. Don't let them clean your windows though. I'm not going to mark them down on that, but swirl marks galore! read more

They get one star for speed and convenience ... that's it. I had a $15 off coupon and thought I'd give them a try for a quick oil change. Dropped the car off and got a quick bite to eat nearby. When I returned, the car was ready. During checkout they told me they had also vacuumed the carpets and washed the exterior windows. However, when I entered my car I found that the vacuuming and window cleaning had not been done at all. This left me wondering if my oil or filter had actually been changed or if they had actually used the synthetic oil for which I'd paid a premium. When I brought this to their attention, they agreed that they had err'd with regard to the vacuuming and window cleaning, but insisted that everything else had been done. I confirmed later (after crawling under my car) that my car does have a different (no way to tell if it was new) oil filter now, but I will never know if the oil installed was the synthetic I paid for. Oh, and when they did finally clean the windows, the guy used a dirty rag which just smeared the existing dirt around and left the windows worse than when I arrived. I've learned my lesson. If I had it all to do over again, I would have brought my own oil and filter for them to install, but I won't be back. I simply don't trust them. read more
