UPDATE: Prices increase again... that is just terrible. Every time I get an oil change prices increase. I've been told a handful of times to stop going to Jiffy Lube and I guess this was the sign. Even with the coupons online, that does not matter one bit if the prices continue to increase. I might give them one more try but at this rate, I'll rather support a local shop. Even if the Business Responds to this, it would not make a difference unless there was actual change made. Based on the frustration I had, I'm surprised I'm not giving a 1 star. Got an oil change there. Quick and friendly. As soon as I left I noticed my car was louder than usual. The engine was making a growling noise when accelerating. Otherwise running okay. Past experience, I know sometimes the person who checked the filter didn't reseat it correctly. Not a big deal, just need them to check. They did. I asked about how the intake assembly was wiggling when they checked. Guy tells me it's missing the clips to hold it in place. All I asked was if that was something they had possibly removed and forgot to replace. He calls over the floor manager who basically says "we don't have any to give you." So I simply tried again to inquire if that's even something they typically remove during an oil change. If not, no big deal. If it is, obviously I want them replaced. I don't get a straight answer because he has to interject that they checked it and nothing is wrong. Except...something was wrong. Maybe when they moved it around and reclipped it, it was fixed. The noise seems to be gone. But floor guy...don't get short with someone who is telling you your guys did something wrong. Don't walk away and wave me off telling me to "talk to him." Be a little more polite after I patiently waited 15 minutes for you to check something your guys screwed up. It's called customer service. read more

When I left I noticed when I went to open my glove department everything fell out. also my oil was leaking!! went back twice to resolve the issue. they hooked up the glove department but oil didn't stop leaking. The customer service agent I spoke with said the oil was leaking from reservoir. I took it to Kia dealership and they said it's external damage not covered by warranty!! I went to Jiffy Lube/ #3017 on 11/1/23 for an oil change. Jiffy Lube completed the oil change. When I left, I noticed the oil light was still on so I figured since I had already left, I would come back another time to have it reset . A month later, I happened to be near a different Jiffy Lube/ #2565 that I had frequented before and asked them to check the oil light. I waited 40 minutes before it was my turn in line. Upon reviewing my auto, they indicated that there was an oil leak. They topped off my oil and told me that I should have a mechanic check for the oil leak problem. The next day I took the auto to my mechanic who discovered that Jiffy Lube/ #3017 had installed an incorrect size oil filter and gasket which caused the oil to leak. Luckily, there was no further damage to the engine due to Jiffy Lube's negligence. I'm surprised that the supervisor allowed such an oversite to occur. I'm assuming that there is some type of work evaluation before the auto is cleared to go. Of course, I had to leave my auto at the mechanic (other cars were being worked on) due to my having to go to work and wait for my mechanic to assess the oil leak problem. The headache and inconvenience of not having my auto, paying my mechanic to redo the oil change at a cost of $104, and incurring Uber fees can be easily avoided if what I had originally paid ($75.99 - $10 coupon) = $70.39 tax included) had been done properly by all involved. Jiffy Lube has some explaining to do and needs to compensate me for all of the above expenses! read more

This is a terrible shop, with un-skilled technician's. They will mess up your car and then lie about it. The guy stripped the screw/bolt on my oil pan than lied and said it was leaking oil, prior to me bringing it in. I waited in their parking lot for over 30 minutes, and their were no oil spots on the ground anywhere. Please save yourself alot of pain, money and fustration... steer clear of these SHADY SHYSTERS!!!! read more

I don't like writing bad reviews. I have gone to this jiffy lube at least 10 times. I have a job that requires confidentiality, I don't know when I will get a call. I always let them drive the car into the bay and then I get back in the car. I know how to reset my oil to 100%. I don't need it vacuumed. I just need an oil change. I explained that today and was told I have to go to the lobby. I was told the policy changed. I explained that I have always sat in my car at this jiffy lube. I was told this wasn't true. I was told this is "my time not your time." Great. I'm in philosophical battle at a jiffy lube. It threw me off tbh. I'm now arguing about time? I want to sit in my car. I have always sat in my car at this jiffy lube. Eventually- I was told I could go to the lobby or leave. I explained to the employee that I could have a disability and need to stay in my car. Asking me to prove a disability is discrimination. Technically it is, but I have no interest in accusing the employee. He said "you would be lying." He had decided. I talked to the manager who said they (JL) have to drive the car in the bay and I can sit in the passenger seat. I said I can reset all the maintenance. I don't need my car cleaned. I just want to get in my car and be able to do my job. She said ok, but at this point I didn't want to drive it in because I don't want my car messed with. I have been labeled a problem. A problem that always tips the guys $10. Not a lot, but I am guessing about 10% of customers tip. And I still need an oil change. Now I need a new place for a simple oil change. This is annoying. BTW, a patient called me 5 minutes after I left. And I am still giving two stars. They do a nice job, that is why I went back. Full disclosure. I have a diagnosis of PTSD. I have panic attacks. I am an extrovert. I also like being alone when I feel triggered. I'm proud of myself because usually I would have exploded and verbally attacked and tried to tear down the employee that was being a douche. I won't say his name. I hate this. Honestly bad experience. I brought my own filter since my dealership says to use there's instead of jiffy lubes. I get back in the car and mine is still there??? So they charged me , but never used the one I gave them, never signed the paperwork wasn't even asked too. My coupon said I will get my tires filled too which when I got home I checked and they weren't filled. Never told me how my fluids were or anything. Will never go back to that location, I now probably need to go to another place to see if anything was actually done. Monday night at 5:15 is when I went. There's no easy way to describe the situation I was thown into... My friend of 24 years had a heart attack at 38 years old. He left behind a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado. It sat for years in our garage. There was a thick coat of dust on it's beautiful blue sparkle paint job. I am not a car guy, but I suspected it was the battery and not a major issue as my deceased friend had suggested. I was right, but the fluids had leaked and evaporated in it's years in decay. After changing the battery, it started right up. The transmission was virtually non existent due to fluid loss, but I made it to this shop. They filled all the fluids and the tires too. I explained my situation and they took care of everything with care. This is the kind of professionalism you don't see anymore! Good business.. Fine people.. This is rare today. I always have the fortunate experience (note sarcasm) to accompany my fiance to Jiffy Lube since I happen to be the more car savvy one thanks to my godfather who taught me everything I need to know about cars. In short, I have been to a LOT of Jiffy Lubes over the years ranging from Schaumburg, to California, to now Chicago. Having said that, I have never been to a Jiffy Lube with such an amazingly amicable staff who took the time to explain everything to us. Not only did they do a great job on the car and with explaining everything to us, they actually vacuumed the car! I have never been to a JL that did that. I'm not sure if it's standard or not, but the extra step was definitely appreciated. I am so happy we found this JL and went there, because next time I hopefully won't have to accompany my fiance since they were so good about explaining everything. There was no wait when we got there and they allowed us to change the channels on their small tv hoisted up in the corner. They didn't have a lot of channels and reading material is limited - so either go with someone you like talking to or bring something to read. We will definitely be back here for future services instead of driving all the way out to the suburbs every time the car needs an oil change. read more

Came in for a radiator flush. Not a difficult task. Been here three hours and counting and my car is barely being looked at. I inquired two times and the short, long haired, guy who was checking people out never responded to my requests until i was "can I have my car back if its just in waiting", then he replies its up now. So three hours into it, it's just being put up. Terrible service i have been getting with Jiffy Lube. Back in the day the personnel cared and took care of you. Now its like blah. The only thing I did observe is that they are quick with the oil changes as in my now getting close to 4 hour wait, that tons of people came through for that and they did accomplish that pretty quick. I'm convinced that there's a commission-based incentive awarded to workers here, because that's the only plausible explanation for this experience. DAY 1: Approximately 3:30 p.m. - I had some engine trouble while running a few business errands in my car. Initially, I heard a loud noise like a snap, followed by the smell of burning rubber and intense vibrations while driving down a city street. I pulled over, shut my vehicle off, inspected it and then checked my GPS for nearby service centers. This Jiffy Lube was the listed as the closest to where I was, so I restarted and inched along slowly until I'd made my way there. Pulling into the service bay, I describe what had happened to the attendant, who promptly directs me to Kevin, their "specialist." Kevin escorts me to the waiting area, takes my keys, test-drives my car, returns and begins looking over my engine. A half-hour later, he comes in and tells me his diagnosis is that I have a "broken engine mount," and that they are making calls, searching for the part needed for the repair. "What will that cost approximately?" I ask him. "Well, if we find it, anywhere from $150 to about $550 including the labor," Kevin says. "But I know that's no money to you." "No," I replied. "That's VERY expensive to me, and it always is when you're not expecting it. Is this something that you can do today?" "Oh yes, it shouldn't be a problem if we can find the part," he assures me. Kevin ushers me back to the waiting room. Come 5:00 p.m., workers begin closing the garage doors, seemingly shutting down for the evening. After a 90-minute wait, he finally comes back and tells me that I'll need to leave my car there overnight. "If you don't hear from us by 12:00 noon tomorrow, give us a call. We don't have your telephone number, let me take it down." "Yes, you do have my number, I said. "I'm a regular and loyal customer." Note: In October of last year, I went to a Jiffy Lube in Louisiana and they pulled up my entire service history and contact information in minutes, merely by entering my license plate number into their computer. "I can guarantee you that we don't have your number," Kevin says again. I sigh, tell him my home phone number and he writes it down on a small piece of paper. I informed him that I recently paid over $4,600 for the paint job on my car, so I need assurance that it will be kept indoors, and that it'll be secure there. It's a fully restored, near-classic car and I treat it as such. "Oh yes, we're going to keep it inside," I'm told. DAY 2: Just after 12:00 noon - No status phone call or follow-up is received from Jiffy Lube, so I call them. Kevin tells me that the part is discontinued according to GM, so they're checking two other sources who have yet to get back to them. They'll phone me once they have word, they say. No call is received by the end of business. DAY 3: Just after 12:00 noon - No status phone call or follow-up from Jiffy Lube, so again I call them. Kevin isn't in as yet, so I speak to a Daniel, who says that even if a used part is located it's useless because they only install new parts. I tell Daniel that the engine is a re-built one that I purchased from a NAPA certified auto technician in St. Louis. I offer to put them in touch with that shop to aid in their search. He agrees. I phone my contact in St. Louis and provide him the information to reach Jiffy Lube. He says that he'll reach out to them and do all he can to help. DAY 4: Just after 12:00 noon - No status phone call or follow-up is received from Jiffy Lube, so I call them. They say that they spoke to my guy in St. Louis and that he was to have e-mailed them a schematic diagram identifying and confirming the part, but that he never sent it and they never heard back from him. I was copied on the e-mail that he sent, so I know this to be a falsehood. I offer to re-send the e-mail to them myself, and do so. Jiffy Lube confirms they received it and are still searching for the part(s), as is my friend in St. Louis. Neither one locates it. DAY 5: A phone call is received from Jiffy Lube, stating that the part we've all been looking for, for days isn't broken, just "bad," and that suddenly they can repair my car so that it's "driveable." "Really?" "Oh, sure." Frustrated at this late news, I tell them to move forward. By the end of the day, I receive a call from them telling me that my car is ready, and they quote me a final bill of $614 (yes, and that's without them ever having found that part). When I go over there to pick up my vehicle, the price jumps to $689 at the register. I inform the cashier that I was quoted $614 the day before, and the guy instantly drops the price down to $624. I pay, and exit. The very next day, driving down Lake Shore Drive, an alarm sounds and a light on my dashboard illuminates: CHANGE OIL SOON. read more

As a chick I'm always weary about going to get my car serviced alone for ANYTHING. First cos I know nothing about anything having to do with cars. Second, I feel like most people can read my cluelessness on my face rather easily... Anyway, I've been going to this Jiffy Lube for oil changes for a couple of years now since it's close to my job and each time they've been super quick, polite, and not pushy to upsell me on extras. Yesterday's visit was the busiest I'd ever seen it. Each station was taken with cars being service with about 2 more cars ahead of me in line. But, I was in and out of there within 20 minutes! I went with a basic oil change, they let me know my antifreeze was low. Dude told me my car takes a "special" type of antifreeze that they don't carry, but he recommended a couple of places where I can get it and/or have the other places fill it for me. So that was cool. It's a small waiting room, relatively clean, and each time I've been their coffee has been stocked up and it's pretty good coffee! All in all, fast and friendly service, plus they clean your windows and do a quick clean of the inside of your car! read more

I've had my car in here before and always had a good experience but today was truly exceptional. It's like they make you feel like your car was their car. HOLD ONTO your wallet. I asked for a regular old oil change the spiffy barely out of his teen relates that the price would be 21.99. Great! I am directed to their waiting room with no Coffee. The kid rushes in and lets his manager do the sale. The Manager tells me my ride is a newer car and it uses synthetic oil price 70$. He tells me my anti freeze is low and will fill it for 4.99 he proceeds to punch it up like i authorized this. He forgets to add the 12$ discount twice always quoting a higher price. So after agreeing to just 70$ he then parks my car outside and does not show me the oil. Told him to show me the oil it was still dirty!!! He said that it means i should bring my car in sooner. In the end any females who do not know about cars or people who do not ask question BEWARE the add on charges can easily total 20 -60$. read more

SPEED: Every Time I've been to a JL, I feel like it takes a long time, but I think it's pretty standard timing for an oil change, as it happens every time. I usually block off about 45 mins to an hour from start to finish in order to get the oil change down. RELIABILITY: As a company Jiffy lube is pretty reliable service. They check tires and do an inspection every time they work on your car, which is nice. I did ask them to check my windshield wipers, since they stopped working and never got any information back about what was wrong, so I eventually diagnosed the problem myself. PRICE: The price is pretty consistent, but you can usually find a coupon for 10% off online, so make sure to check online and present your coupon when paying. Many locations even have groupons, although this location does not. read more

I went to this Jiffy Lube for a high mileage oil change and could not recommend them more! They were very professional, polite, and efficient. I had a coupon and they honored it with no issues and promptly brought me my receipt. They took about 10 minutes to complete the oil change and check my cars fluids. All staff members wore face masks and one staff member was cleaning the floors, so the facility is very clean. They even fixed a leaking valve stem in my tire for no additional cost. They opened doors for us, let us know everything that was going and plus they were super quick!! The prices are pretty decent and they have AAA discounts which is nice.
