I came for an oil change and they couldn't tell me any prices until I told them what I wanted. I told them I wanted the most basic oil change and was told $50 before taxes. I showed them a coupon for $10 and they said the best they could do was $8 off. When I went to pull my car in they yelled at me and rolled their eyes because I didn't do it to their liking (which I was given no instruction or guidance). I was then escorted to the lobby where a worker put her hands on me to "assist me" even though I needed no assisting or touching. Maybe it's Covid, but I've now been to this location three times in the past 60 days with no success. The first two times I sat outside of the garage, assuming to be "next in line", and after no acknowledgment from anyone inside the garage for over 15 minutes, I just left. Today I tried again and was told to come back another time because they don't currently have my oil filter in stock?? I like to give my business to local operations like this, so I'll probably try again down the road (I found a very eager Jiffy Lube operator in Wheeling), and maybe service issues will be worked out. read more

I had an oil change on 12/09/2020. The service was quick and the workers polite. I chose the synthetic oil change and they put a reminder stocker for top off service at about 148000 miles. On 1/07/2021 I was about 500 miles under the top off when my engine light came on followed by a rattling of the motor. About 5 mins later my car shuts off and the oil light come on. Weird. I get towed to my mechanic who informs me that I have been driving with no oil in my car and not my engine is shot. I have been trying to reach out to the manager but everytime I call she's unavailable and now my phone calls just go unanswered. read more

Well... I typically get my oil Changed at Jiffy Lube closer to the city, but I needed my oil changed and they didn't have a wait. So I pulled in and was asked what type of oil I wanted to use. I asked them if they could look up a previous type from another Jiffy Lube and was told no. So I asked what he would recommend. The gentleman recommended synthetic. I said okay then walked in to the waiting room. I was surprised by the padded chairs as opposed to a flat metal chair that I am used to. I then walked over o the cashier to inquire about the synthetic price. I spoke to another employee and she assured me that with my $10off coupon it should be about $45. To me, that seemed a tad more than I typically pay but I was not sure. From that point on, I was totally dissatisfied with the rest of my experience. When I was called up, I was told the cost of the oil change was $78! What?!?! As I asked why it was so expensive the original employee I spoke with didn't even answer my question, nor did he look at me instead he started to talk over me on all the services they did. When he was done rambling, I repeated my question explaining that I asked him a question and he did not answer it, again he started rambling on about how they are the #1 Jiffy Lube in the northwest and I should go on their yelp reviews or any other review. Again Inasked him why the price was so expensive and again he rambled more things that did not answer my question. Then he pointed to the door and said "oh look! You're car is ready!" We pulled you up. He finally said "that's what we charge". Frustrated, I went to walk to my car and realized that they pulled me into a spot which was hard to reverse out of due to traffic and the proximity of the building. Ugh! I would NOT recommend this location. And yes, I did look at the overall rating. At the time of this they had 2 1/2 stars... pretty far from 5 stars. read more

After a long week of remodeling my bathroom, I decided it was time to have some more fun and take in my car for an oil change. This should take me 1/2 hour, right?? No wait! Great! This will be better than I thought. Little did I know the nightmare was just beginning. After fiddling around under by car for about an hour, the guy waved over his manager. She had a concerned look on her face and proceeded to take several pics of my car's engine. I definitely did not get the impression she thought the engine was so cool it had to be on her Facebook page. (It's a Subaru) She then proceeded to call someone to have an extensive conversation about the nature of man. Likely not, but she muffled her voice so who knows what she said but it couldn't be good. She then told me they were having issues removing some part to get to the oil filter and I should put the car in neutral while they attempted to push it backwards. After failing to push my car up the small metal ramp (If they were both professional powerlifters, maybe that was possible?), they told me to turn on the engine and go backwards a few feet, then turn wheel and go forwards to reposition the car while praying that I don't drive into the open floor. I heard a small cheer 10 mins later and I assumed they got to the oil filter. Perhaps they'll finish soon?? No way. The guy continued to fiddle under my car for another 45 mins and then called over the manager. She informed me he accidentally drained all my cars transmission fluid. She then called in another guy from another location to replace the first guy who may have been mechanically challenged. He asked him: "How long you working here". "Since September". An entire month! wow. After the second guy worked under my car for another 30 mins, he stopped and started talking with the first guy. They seemed to be having a rather pleasant conversation in front of my car for another 10 mins while I was in my car about to explode. There wasn't anyone doing anything else. At that point I asked: "What's going on?" They told me the manager is out trying to buy transmission fluid. "I think she went to that auto parts place on Golf. She should be back in a few minutes". I asked why they were not changing the oil? They told me their manager said I no longer wanted the service. What?? Why would I want to spend hours here and still not get my oil changed? I told them to change the oil and they finally managed to do that task without incident (after all - it is their main service, isn't it?). Then they proceeded to attempt to charge me full price for the messed up service. Not to mention, my car was not drivable after it lost all it's transmission fluid. After complaining, they reluctantly gave me a "Military" discount. Seemed appropriate because sitting hours inside my car within a Jiffy lube garage felt like I was lying in a trench in some hostile country. I thought to myself "how much worse can this get?". It continued to go downhill. After waiting another 30-40 mins for manger to return with transmission fluid, I asked the guy "Can you call her? Why is she taking so long". At that point he informed me her car broke down. "Don't worry, I sent the other guy to pick her up". Another 1/2 hour goes by while I prayed he wasn't also directionally challenged. So now going on 3 1/2 hours. The first guy retuned without the manager but with the transmission fluid. Never saw the first manager again but they were able to finally finish. After driving later to get dinner, I attempted to clear my windshields with the new windshield fluid they used to "top off my fluids". Instead of cleaning my windows, it only made it worse and I concluded that they must had somehow gotten oil mixed in with the windshield fluid. read more

Not every Jiffy Lube is the same. This particular location stands out with its excellence in customer service, great management, and fast service. I needed an oil change and the manager, Leo, helped me out. He told me the exact amount from the start and how long it would take. It was a quick and simple process (as an oil change should be, right?). He didn't try to sell me anything that my car didn't need. He's friendly, honest, and straight forward - how all managers should be. Will be returning for sure. read more

The very knowledgeable employees gave me a money saving lesson and let me know the oil I was using in my car would last much longer than I was allowing it to- in theory throwing money out the window! Could not get service here. They did not have staff to accommodate someone who arrived at 530. Hours state open until 6 and Just Lube is typically quick, so it's not unreasonable to think it could be handled. Not the shop's fault, just a very narrow range of hours for people who work. read more

I've been going to this location because it is close. Last 3 out of 4 times there was an issue with their system, their technician was at lunch or they didn't have my oil even though they didn't look in the the system under my profile. Not sure how they knew by just looking at my car. Regardless they are not very friendly and appear to be not very enthused to be working. At least the Skokie location is getting more business because they recommend people go there when these issues pop up which seems very frequently. Went to the location in Mount Prospect after the last time they couldn't service my car and they were very helpful and quick. A farther drive but will definitely be going there from now on. read more

I came in for an oil change. The specialist finished and he tells me after the fact that the credit card machine doesn't work. The associates say that this happens all the time and it never gets fixed. So I had to figure out how to pay. Had my wife drag two newborns to come down to the store to pay with cash, 45 mins later. Just very annoyed and frustrated about the situation. If it's a know issue why hasn't it been resolved. But screw the customer over at the end. Infuriating. The manager, Leo, is excellent because he goes above and beyond to ensure his customers receive the best service and experience possible. Went in to get a oil change. I've done this myself dozens of times and have managed never to get oil on my motors and I'm not a mechanic. The gentlemen there must have spilled close to a quart of oil all over my motor and never bothered to clean it or tell me about it. When I pulled away from the store, about a mile later down the expressway, I noticed a lot of smoke under my hood. I pulled over and opened the hood, only to find a TON of oil all over my manifold and engine and it was sizzling. I will never take my truck back to any jiffy lube. I will go back to doing my own oil changes where there is a better level of competence then these fools. BEWARE read more

Try to upsell you. When you don't comply, they don't want to change the oil. They will try to scam you. I was the first car in and 2 cars that came after have been changed already. I've seen the tv specials of this happening but I never thought it can happen in Glenview. I've gotten an oil change here before and it was fine. This time was different. Won't be back!!! read more

I stopped to get an oil change and their systems were down. I was told they expected the system to be back up in an hour, which it was. I took my kids to get some food while my car was in line. The service techs were pleasant, professional and efficient. I'd give them 5 stars minus the inconvenience of having to come back (and I'd give 4.5 even with the inconvenience. Routine oil change needed. The man was very nice but they were out of stock in the air filter for my vehicle. I had him check it anyway so I'd know how it looked. He scratched my hood (beside the air filter) while opening the case. Then I went and bought my own air filter and put it in myself. I went in this morning to get an oil change and was greeted outside before I even got out of my car by the young lady that works there. I was attended by her and the manager and they were extremely friendly and had me out of there in about 20min. As a business owner myself, I can say that their customer service, smiling faces and positive attitude were great and made me feel super welcome and not mind the short wait time. I asked the woman if they could fill the window wash fluid as she gave me the milage sticker and she hastefully replied, "They already did". After leaving I pressed the window spray button and nothing came out. I taught something might have been wrong with the sprayer so I picked up a gallon of fluid at a gas station and sure enough, it worked fine. read more

Arrived at 7:00AM to be 1st in line. Employee arrives & I told him I wanted an oil change and a lube. He told me he couldn't do the lube because he doesn't know how to do them. A 2nd employee arrives and she can't do a lube either. When I asked who could , I was told the mgr but he wasn't sure when or if he was coming in today. I pointed out that a business called Jiffy Lube ought to be able to do lube jobs. I left in disgust. If I could give this place zero stars I would! I went here this afternoon and, after waiting for 20 minutes, the representative called me over and said they were going to start working on the oil change. While I was aleady frustrated that I'd been waiting so long, he then told me that they needed to flush the oil out of the engine. He said, "someone has put in the wrong oil." Well, my dealer has done every oil change, every 3000 miles, since I bought the car! So, explain to me how my dealer had been putting in the wrong oil? Am I to believe that a guy at Jiffy Lube knows more about my car than the dealer? Coincidentally, the cost of this engine flush was $40. I wouldn't be surprised if they were feeding me a line to get my wallet to open further. Then, when I told the rep to just give me the basic oil change and let me leave, he said it would be $38, which is more than what the Hyundai dealer charges me! When I explained this to him all he could say was, "but do you have to make an appointment?" Ok, so I guess Jiffy Lubes high prices, long waits, and rip off extras are all ok because you don't have to make an appointment. Hmm...I think I'd rather make an appointment with the dealer and avoid Jiffy Lubes like the plague! read more

These guys are awesome!! This is the best Jiffy Lube I have ever been to, and I keep coming back for more. They keep great records of my car's maintenance history and I never have to think about it. Plus they show me on the computer what was done last, and even over a year ago. They are very honest about what else needs to get done, I have never felt cheated or duped. They never take advantage, always have hot coffee ready and the TV on. Ladies, if you don't want to wait in their lounge, you can get your nails done next door.
