This particular Jiffy Lube has been serving my car since 2003, maybe longer. They have done an awesome job every time. Recently, they closed the car wash and created a new mechanic area that can do minor repairs with master mechanics on site. The major difference between Jiffy and other auto mechanic shops, Jiffy Lube only charges you for mechanic hours worked. Today, Jiffy Lube replaced the engine gasket on my Toyota. Other shops would have used the mechanics guide and charged you 1.45 hours. Jiffy Lube took 30 minutes to complete the work and only charged me 30 minutes. What does that mean? Other shops would have charged you for 1:45 if labor to repair your car even if took less time. You do the math. Thanks for reading. read more

Awesome staff! Very friendly, courteous, and attentive. They don't try and push you to buy things that you don't need. If you do need a new filter or something along those lines, they let you know and then they let you decided without being pushy. The oil change was quick. 20 mins and I was in and out. I work close to this Jiffy Lube location so it was convenient for me to come in first thing this morning. All the guys were super friendly, excellent customer service. They reviewed everything they checked in my vehicle and made a couple recommendations. They didn't push anything on me and understood I was in a bit of a rush to get to work. Let me start by saying that the previous negative reviews were clearly written by grumpy people and their experiences at this Jiffy Lube were likely anomalies. I have been to this Jiffy Lube twice this year. Once for an oil change in January and again today for coolant flush and manual transaxle fluid change. I didn't wait anymore than 15 seconds before they had me pull up to the garage. Immediately I was greeted by a polite individual who addressed me by name and asked which service I wanted to get done. He showed me what the service would cost before I even entered the waiting room. I chose Jiffy Lube for the coolant and transaxle fluid service because Hyundai wanted $600 for 90k mile service, during which they only were going to change the transaxle fluid. Jiffy Lube charged $170 for both, topped off my oil, vacuumed, and topped off the rest of my fluids at no charge and offered me a free car wash. (I declined the car wash and instead they gave me a rain check for me to use whenever.) All this was accomplished in about 25 minutes. Had I gotten it done at the dealership, it would have easily been over an hour and a half and I would have had to make an appointment. No appointment needed at Jiffy Lube! I've used Jiffy Lube in the past to complete my major routine service and I will continue to do so. I had the coolant changed by them at 60k, 90k, and I'll go back again at 120k. Taking advantage of Jiffy Lube to save money is a smart idea. So if you are looking for great and quick service, people who go the extra mile, and long business hours, the Herndon Jiffy Lube is where it's at. And if you find a problem afterwards from their service, have a little grace and treat them respectfully and I'm confident they will do their best to fix the problem. I had been to three different places asking for help...to no avail. Finally, I went to Jiffy Lube on Elden St., in Herndon. The problem, after the manager did a thorough investigation, turned out to be that I had a mouse in my car....! He advised me to get some mouse traps and let him know when I caught it. It was obvious that the employees were hard workers, and that they all respected their boss. This was the only place willing to help me find out what the problem was. Yes. Go there. This service center provided me quick and fast service. From the moment I arrived, to the time of payment. I was quickly acknowledged by one of the workers, a young and stunning gentlemen who broke down the services they did and at what price. They provided great and a lot of value for my oil change, at a price that is fair, which was very pleasant. I was also told on what to look forward to in my next oil change and what other services I should consider doing based on my manufactures recommendations. I didn't feel as if they were trying to upsell me or pressured into purchasing other things that weren't necessary. I instead had an educational/learning experience about my vehicle. While waiting to pay, the lounge felt very roomy and looked clean. (which is such a strange thing to expect since most auto shops waiting areas tend to be a bit dirty) I was called up and paid the rough estimate I was given from the start. I was guided out to my vehicle, which was a nice touch, and was on my way. They provide vacuuming on the floor mats, needless to say, they did a good job. read more

After driving all the way from Baton Rouge LA to Herndon VA, we figured it was time to give our Rio some little love. Oil change and tire rotation. As soon as I pulled up I was welcomed, and the nice guy escorted me to the waiting area. He told me it would be between 15-20 minutes. The lady who works there is SO nice and SO professional. After my baby was taken care of, the lady went over everything that was done. She went to tell me I had a free car wash and free oil change in the next 3,000 miles (which is AMAZING) She escorted me back to my car which was vacuumed out (thank God.) Just had my 2nd oil change done on my Infiniti. The last 3 cars all get my oil changes at this location. The staff is fast and courteous. Never had any issues with service. I have never felt pressured into buying services I think are unneccesary nor have I been asked to purchase anything unncessary. My first experience here was wonderful, fantastic, offer the top great, five star. The second? Polar opposite. I'm still waiting here as I type for an oil change......40 minutes in and I keep thinking to myself, any moment now. But how could I know? It's chilly and the garage doors are closed and no one has come out to give an update (or an apology) on why it has taken so long. I did watch a few guys pound their lunch though. I called 1st to make sure they would take to "Entertainment" coupons at the same time---$8 for oil change and $5 for tire rotation. (Even with the coupons, Jiffy Lube was more expensive than most other auto service/repair businesses, but I rationalized that they might be worth it since they'd clean my car's windows and vacuum its interior.) The person I spoke to assured me they'd accept both coupons. But when I got there, I was told that I can only use one coupon or the other, so I told them to stop and I left. Worst experience ever. Called about their availability and timeline at 9:45am. I was told they are available and can work on my oil change right away and be done in 30 mins. So I got there in about 5 mins. Guess what? I waited until 11:05am for over 1 hour and they still have not started. Everyone here is friendly, polite, and helpful. They treat you like a king or queen. The invoice is always accurate and simple. The service waiting time is short. Recently, I needed to replace a missing air filter housing bolt. The manager offered to find one on the premises that would fit so that I would not need to buy one at the dealership. This is one of the most efficient Jiffy Lube's I have been to. Yes, they try and upsale you things - however - they tell you what you need and don't try to sell you a service you don't need. I brought my 15' 4runner that I was getting ready to hand down to my daughter serviced and was asked if I wanted any other services. Since I was giving her the SUV the next day and needed the tires rotated, I allowed the service. To my dismay, they tore up the area surrounding my lug nuts. The rims are black, and now white spin marks are obvious and present. I left the JL due to needing to get back to work and when I arrived at my office took a quick glance at the rims and noticed the damage. The damage was on all 4 wheels and obvious. I drove back to the JL after my appointment and pointed out the damage. The manager accused me of attempting to pull something on them and was defensive. I introduced the damage in a calm, cool manner and was treated as someone who was attempting fraud. For this reason I will never patronize this place again and nor should you, and dont allow a rotation ever. They are not trained appropriately. read more

These guys fixed me up right before a long trip from Virginia to California on the road in my car. They called him work was done and the prices are relatively reasonable. It is easy to get to one Elden Street all that is on the side of Herndon that can get quite sketchy. When I brought it in they changed my oils and fixed a head light among other needs. Worst service ever. I have came here several times past year for oil change and my experience was always Ok until today. My car got an oil change as usual every 3000 mils. I brought my daughter who get out her kindergarten class early with me. I have been told the oil change will take about half an hour as usual. My car was done and parked outside not knowing the oil change is done; no one call me to pay. I set there 1 hour and see people coming in and going out. Finally, I requested to speak to the manager and told that I have been sitting here for 1 hour and my car was parked outside. He apologized and say "we are sorry" Accepted the apology and open the door and discovered they only vacuumed 3 of the 4 doors. I went back inside and call the manager. He again apologized as usual and offered to bring the care inside so they can vacuum. After sitting1 hour inside with my little daughter; I cannot wait another minute therefore, I decided to go home. While driving to my home I discovered the windshield sticker for next oil change reminder printed on wrong millage data. I decided to get an oils change from Jiffy Line on my way to an appointment. I wish I remembered the young men that assisted me. They were both so kind and helpful. I was informed about some maintenance needed for my car without the pressure that I have experienced at other locations. They even informed me about what engine type I have for my car. I know I should have already known that.. but.. I didn't sorry..I just drive it. :) This was the best experience I have ever had for an oil change. The guys there are friendly and respectful. Come here to get my oil changed every 4K miles. This past time I was told that I needed an engine flush. I attempted to get more details on this to understand why this had suddenly come up (last oil change was two months ago) but the guy continued to insist that it needed to be done. I decided to trust Jiffy Lube to be honest in the care of my car so I went for it. Spoke with my mechanic later and he told me that my car didn't need it because of the regular care and oil changes. While driving out in the ex-urbs this past Saturday, I got an urgent "Low Oil Pressure" notice on my car that kept flashing at me. It sounded bad and it scared the daylights out of me. Went into this Jiffy Lube and I was thinking that at 4:30 pm, there would be no way they would have taken my car in. I was wrong. They looked at my car right away, told me what going on, fixed the problem, and went above and beyond what their services even entail - they even installed my front license plate! I went to them after driving from Utah to Maryland to get an oil change. During this first visit they recommended a flush of my fluids which I agreed to. The service took far longer than it should have considering the number of employees. After they were done I took my vehicle home a few days later my maintenance required light came on. I had to go to auto zone to get a read out done of what was going on and find a temporary solution. They told me I would most likely need to replace the coolant control valve. The temporary fix appeared to be a permanent solution for a few weeks when the light came on again. I took it back to this location with the read out from auto zone to have them check the part as I was certain that they had done something like not fully tightening it. I was told by a mechanic I would have to replace the part and that he could do that for me the next day if I brought my vehicle in. I did so and the issue seemed to be resolved. A few weeks later the light came on. I went to the dealership to do a state inspection to and topped my fluids off to hopefully pass and asked them to check what the code was for the maintenance required light as I was getting worried. They said there was no code so I figured it was just a computer issue. Two weeks later my check engine light with the maintenance required light showed up and my car was not running properly. At this point I was fairly certain that Jiffy Lube had broken something in my car. I took it back to the dealership in order to replace my tires and check on the read out for my lights. They told me the coolant control valve needed to be replaced. I was understandably upset and let them know that Jiffy Lube had already replaced the part. The Agent I was working with was shocked and immediately said that Jiffy Lube was not certified to do that kind of maintenance and didn't have the equipment. They replaced the part for me and wrote up on the invoice a nice none accusative statement on what they observed on the vehicle as far as damage went. The next day I called to speak with Jiffy Lube about a refund as I see this as them not doing the job they charged me for. I was told that the manager that handles that was not available and to call back. As I feel this was a serious I was prepared to do so but Tino from the facility called me back while I was at work the next day leaving a message at 1:05 pm saying he would be in until 1:30 pm and to call him back to resolve this. I did so 5 minutes later to find that Tino had left immediately after calling me. At this point in time I was quite upset and felt this was not only another lie but avoiding me to resolve the issue. I told them that I would escalate this due to this to which I was openly laughed at and hung up upon. The following monday after taking a breather and trying to enjoy my weekend Tino called me back to which I answered. He wanted to know what happened and I explained to him what I had done as far as bring my vehicle to him and having constant issues of the exact same thing and out of frustration taking my vehicle to the dealership where I was told that Jiffy Lube should not have done the maintenance. He told me I was incorrect and that I must have broken the part myself by driving to much. When I brought up that the dealership had told me it looked like the part had not been replaced but that someone had scratched up the inside attempting to replace something he yelled at me and said he had video evidence of the part being replaced. I calmly stated that if that was the case than I was given a faulty part and they shouldn't have a problem taking care of me. He told me no that he would do anything for me. To which I got upset about and said out of frustration that it was fraud because what he had put on the invoice was not what he was saying was done. He told me I was over emotional, he wouldn't do anything for me, and hung up. I contacted customer service who escalated this to his boss. I was treated the exact same by him and customer service refused to help me from there. What they did is fraud. read more

I recently had a seat belt issue fixed by the acura dealer and was told that my power steering fluid needed to be replaced because it was "dark". Today I went to Jiffy Lube and told them that I wanted t my power steering fluid replaced (much cheaper at Jiffy Lube tan at the dealer) and they told me I had been done last autumn and then they showed me fluid from the reservoir and it looked completely clean. Kudos to Jiffy Lube. They could easily have replaced the fluid and I would have never known but they did the right thing and did not do the unnecessary service. read more

This place is extremely unethical . Please avoid oil changes as much as you can. Once you spot the issue and notify corporate they are busy doing cya as opposed to fixing the problem. They get sufficient complaints on simple oil change issues that they have a department dedicated to not solving problems but keeping any kind of law suit. read more

They greet you with respect, and explain the work that has to be done in depth & are more then happy to answers any questions/concerns that you may have. Okay let me start by saying, please don't judge me for what I am about to say. I have no clues when it comes to automobiles. Not a clue. I see the alerts popped up on my dashboard and can read the manual but that's about it. This jiffy lube is near my work and often go there for a quick fix. Everyone's so friendly and try hard to assist in ways they are able to. A few times I went for an oil change, they also look at my tire pressure and aired the tires without even asking about it. Manager told me to bring the car in at any time my tires needed air and he would be happy to do it. They could've easier directly me to go across from the street and use the air machine but no, they offered to help! They really do go out of their ways to please all customers who come in regardless of size of things needed or fixed. Def coming back for my next oil change again! read more

I went back to Jiffy Lube and again I still can't figure out why they got such bad reviews. Maybe they changed management. Anyway, my first review just a couple days ago was for when I first visited about 4 months prior (I'm slow sometimes to review). Today I stopped in to get an oil change and same great experience. The only thing missing was my favorite bench (so I went for a walk) and grabbed a coffee. Scott is the guy to see and everyone else was very nice and helpful.
