I moved from Arlington out to Reston in 2003 and was looking for a place to get regular oil changes between larger mandatory servicing (tires, alignment, brakes...) at my usual mechanic. My mechanic always tells me that my oil change maintenance is great when I bring it in, the products that is used at this Jiffy Lube. I've been going here since then and the oil changes are quick, the manager Tino or Junior are always courteous and professional and I'm usually out in 20 minutes. A little more expensive than some other places for an oil change, but the customer service was top notch. That said, I have been here 3 times and I have consistently experienced great service. The staff is curious, competent, and efficient with a a no pressure approach on the up sells they occasionally suggest. They honor coupons from other locations and give you a free car wash every time. I am not sure what more you could want from an oil change experience. read more

Been going to this Jiffy Lube for 20 years. 4 cars, 3000 mile oil changes like clockwork. They always suggest cabin filters, they learned to stop suggesting after 17 years. They charge for oil changes and it includes topping off the fluids. For several years I had to ensure they did this because, I'm paying for it- they didn't always do it. They always suggest routine maintenance and I resist because the mechanics change out pretty often here-bad sign. Then at a pre-vacation oil change they advised with the suggestion to have power steering high pressure line replaced- leaking per their explanation. I agreed to have them do the work, along with a brake fluid change and brake replacement. The problem is that all cars with proper power steering fluid swap-outs are quiet when you turn the wheel. I have 3 Honda's that are silent when turning the steering wheel. I returned to show them power steering line squeals loudly while turning. I tried to get 3 mechanics and a manager to 'hear' the squeal. They were all confrontational, rude, cut me off while I tried to explain the problem. (I guess mechanic-types in general don't like to be told "shut up for a minute and listen to it"). (I have a hearing aid and I can hear it-so can people across the street when I turn). They all need hearing aids turned way up high. When I had better replies to their denials of a problem (Like, "Really? ALL new cars sound like that, right out of the factory? How did I get the only 3 Hondas that don't make that sound, ever?) Finally their story was that it was normal, no replacement, no refund. If I didn't like it, call the 800 number on the back of the agreement/receipt. Bottom line: "No sound, can't hear it", "no problem, here", "no refund, " Hey guess what Jiffy Lube? No more customer. Word of advice-if you HAVE to go the Elden Street Jiffy Lube in Herndon, get oil change only. read more

This location was AMAZING. The minute I turned my car off, Cheryl came out to greet me and ask how she could help today. She then explained everything that was part of the "signature service oil change," looked me up in the system, and led me inside to sit in the waiting room. It was around 5pm on a Friday and kind of busy but took less than half an hour. Everything that needed to be done besides the oil change was explained and I decided against it, but the young man who was helping me at that point did not pressure me AT ALL. Then when I went to check out, Cheryl gave me a coupon to use so I got a discount, and then she led me back out to my car. I couldn't ask for better service, especially on a busy day! Have been taking my car here for about a year now. They are pretty nice and have taken care of most of my needs quickly. They push some of their services a bit, but it's a business, so it's fine. Overall pretty good place for routine maintenance. They give you a free car wash as well. read more

Do not come to this store. They mislead with coupons and then when you visit the store they tell you that the coupons are not accepted by our store. I will not visit this store again. The interesting part is that one of the service engineer agreed to give me $10 coupon and then the manager intervened and said no. I am sure $10 the manager saved by refusing the coupon was worth it for him and the business store because I am taking my business somewhere else. read more

As other people have said be careful with your valuables at this place. My sunglasses were stolen out of my car. I didn't notice right away either as the case was still there, but when I went to put on my sunglasses a couple days later...they were not in the case. They sold me cabin and engine air filters at a rediculously inflated price. They only told me the price of one and not the other, but the other was far more expensive. They told me that my vehicle recommends changing it every 10,000 miles. When I checked, it turns out that my vehicle recommends changing every 30,000. It's 10,000 miles if I drive on dirt or dusty roads. Funny, but there is not a single dirt or dusty road in Fairfax County Va. read more

They refused to change our oil because a different location repaired our oil pan. They advised us to return to the location an hour an a half away to have the repair repaired (not sure how or why since the original repair has been fine for at least 9,000 miles). We go to Jiffy Lube because we expect the same level of service regardless of location, not to be refused service because of another location. read more

Having recently gone elsewhere and received terrible service, it prompted me to write a good review for Jiffy Lube! I am not sure if I just get good care because I usually go in on a weekday when it is not busy, but the guys there always welcome me with a smile and are very friendly. Compared to UK where all our local garage staff were generally mean, sexist and robbing bas**rds, this was a breath of fresh air to me! So nice to just have the car serviced and not be lied to about a bunch of other work that may need to be done on the car or "i'll die". So this week, I actually have something wrong with my car so decided to take it to the dealer and have the oil change there. Wow what a difference, no personal service, no chit chat, no consideration for their clients what so ever!!! I will certainly be returning to Elden JL for all my future oil changes!!!!! Great service! Super nice, professional, quick, etc. They did my synthetic oil change, changed my wipers, replaced my very dirty air filter, checked my tire pressure, etc. in under an hour. And they gave me a free car wash and vacuumed my interior. I'll definitely be taking my car there again. read more

Every time my husband and I go to this Jiffy Lube we are impressed. The staff is always friendly, polite, helpful, fast and efficient. And to have all doors (shop and car) opened for you at all times is better service than most valets. I signed up to Yelp just to make sure this place gets some credit. read more

I've been going to this Jiffy Lube off and on for 20+ years. Their service is definitely fast and the business is well run. However, their service can be sloppy. On one visit my vehicle had grease all over the steering wheel and seats, which then got on my clothes. On another visit last fall, I did a tire rotation and they left one lug nut off and lost the lug nut key. I only discovered this a few months later when I tried to get my tires rotated again (at the same Jiffy Lube). This was a major inconvenience as I had to scramble to buy a lug nut key so that I'm not stuck should I get a flat. The irony was that Jiffy Lube told me who ever serviced my tires last may have lost the key (it was definitely Jiffy Lube who didn't return the lug nut key to me after using it). I'll probably be back since this is the closest Jiffy Lube to me but I will monitor their work closely so that they don't leave me in this jam again. read more

I've taken my wife's and my car here for years. These guys are very honest and don't push products unless you need them. Case in point, the guy showed me my air filter, which looked very dirty to me, but he said that it was nowhere near dirty and could go a long time. I also asked if I should change my oil every 3K miles and he looked up the manufacturer's suggest time between changes and said I could go as long as 7.5K miles. The guys are friendly and very thorough, and explain things clearly. I like that you can see your car from the waiting room through the big glass windows. All in all, a very good place for a fast oil change and tire rotation. A bit on the expensive side, but I'd pay extra for fast and efficient service. read more

Today I felt very much cheated by the actions of the staff at this Jiffy Lube center (store # 92). I came for oil change service for my Toyota Sienna Van. After the oil change was done, the technician told me that I needed transmission oil flush and quoted me $145.99 with 10% discount. I discussed with him the option of doing just the drain and fill for $74.99 but he convinced me to get the flush done. He explained that the flush is done using a machine which forced all of the old transmission oil out. But when I walked into the bay areas after a few minutes of waiting, I realized that the technician had not used the machine and instead only had done drain and fill. On my inquiry he told me that he has done the flush WITHOUT USING MACHINE and not just the drain and fill. When I reminded him about our conversation and the use of machine he offered to do it again using the machine or charging me for just for the drain and fill. I told him I did not want any more service from them. He changed the price from $145.99 to $74.99. When I complained with the manager he became very belligerent. I felt very much cheated and insulted. I am very sure if I had not walked out in time to check, they would have charged me $145.99 for just doing drain and fill. In my eyes the image of Jiffy Lube is tarnished and I have lost the trust. read more
