Honesty! On Saturday, after bringing some landscaping material to my friend's place, I stopped in on my way home because my truck was telling me I needed an oil change. I was greeted by a guy (I believe is name was Reg); he asked when I last received an oil change and how many miles I had driven since the last oil change. I told him that at most I had driven 1,500 since my last oil change because I only drive my truck maybe 30-50 miles per month. He checked the oil ... said it was full, and showed me that it was still clean. He said I didn't need an oil change just yet and sent me on my way. Customer service here is trash. They act like they're doing a favor. That's why I drive just a little more down to the other Jiffy lube on Oside blvd. Their staff there is awesome, friendly and the customer service is great. Went to Jiffy Lube this morning at 8:45 to get my oil changed full synthetic change when I got home my roommate looked at my oil it was black obviously did they didn't empty it before they put more oil in it so we went back up there they said my engine was dirty well I only have 70,000 miles on my car I get my oil changed frequently and if it was because of buildup it wouldn't have turned black so quickly don't recommend and they weren't very nice and understanding read more

In and out! This was one of the smoothest oil changes I've received in a long time. When I pulled up I was greeted by Miguel who was very professional and friendly. He was thorough with getting all of my information as well as made sure I got the right oil change for my vehicle. The inside of their waiting area was clean and they even had complimentary hot coffee. It's rare to see the whole staff smiling and working together in harmony. Great energy at this location. Plus they vacuum the inside of your vehicle and tip off other fluids. I will return to get my tires rotated at some point tomorrow. Overall this was a great experience and it started with Miguel. Great team, good location, car wash right next door, lil donut shop in the same plaza and a gas station on the corner. Niko the manager here is helpful! He followed up with me for an inspection of my vehicle and even though I didn't actually get the service I was able to know that I can depend on this shop. I usually get my oil changes here too, it is sometimes very busy so you just have to know what times are best to go for a quick visit, if that's what you're looking for. The only downside is the lot, there is way too many businesses there and sometimes the soapy joe's and jiffy lube will be so packed that you can't even park with the way the lot is designed. read more

I go in without a coupon and they turn me away because I did not bring it in. While I can respect the impact of a coupon, I only need to know someone saw it. That's what should matter more. Now I am just going to go to any of the other 100 locations on my way to work. Silly to lose money on that table over $15. What's even more interesting is that customer service asked that i follow up with an email, I did on 12/5 and still no one has reached out. What a shame. Then they have the nerve at Corporate to remove their original response to my first issue. No backbone. Expect to spend some money when coming to any Jiffy Lube. The cheapest oil change they offer here is $40 for the cheapest and basic oil. Prices go all the way up past $80 just to change your oil depending on what oil you get. You are always better off doing it on your own or paying a friend to do it. Next best is to go to an auto repair shop that isn't run by a large corporation and make an appointment to have it done there. The employees at Jiffy Lube definitely make commission or they wouldn't try to sell you on more expensive stuff. I got a synthetic blend oil change for $70. The wait was 45 minutes on a Tuesday around noon. This is a pretty good time frame to be in and out with an oil change. Some places take a couple hours depending on how busy it is. I got quoted a price right when I left them with my keys. Then I waiting in their waiting area where they have water, bathrooms, and magazines. The AC was broken on the day I was there so I sat outside in the shade on the chairs they have. There is also fast food places within walking distance. When my truck was just about finished. They brought out my air filter and told me that it needs to be changed. They said they can change it for $25. They also said that my windshield wipers need to be changed and they have a deal for BOGO free and it would cost about $15 or so. The main focus of Jiffy Lube is to make money and satisfy the customer second. Most other mechanics do not do this to each and every person that comes in. Customer service was decent, but not genuine. I can tell they are driven by money. Check groupon out for deals here as they offer $25 for $40 worth of service. You can buy this from your phone while you are waiting. Bottom line, this place is way overpriced. Shop around for better prices. You won't have that hard of a time. Save your hard earned dollar on another business that doesn't try to take it all away. read more

Just went in for a 15 min oil change. The guy told me it was gonna be $50 and I go about waiting. They finish up fast, give me my receipt and rush me out. I just got home and check the receipt and they charged me $80! An extra $30 of labor NOBODY mentioned! I'm pissed. I feel they took advantage in the fact I put total trust in them. Came in on a Sunday and needed to have my oil changed. Pros: Fast, seemingly good staff, no issues with the car. Cons: $$$$, far too pricey for just an oil change. I brought my own oil filter and oil, yet I was charged the same basic price ($41) as a normal oil change, despite not needing what would normally be at least half that amount in parts (premium filter and oil). Just save the money and either go to Wal-Mart, a small local shop or do what I should have done: do it yourself. read more

They close at 5 pm. I got there at 445 pm. No one else is there. The workers refuse to take me for an oil change- which will take 15 mins- because they are counting the money and closed the register. What? You are open until 5 pm. It's 4:45 pm. Complete laziness. Thankfully I called another Jiffy Lube, got there at 4:58 pm. The OTHER Jiffy lube took me, and I was out by 5:15 pm. Can you say rip off? They tried to charge me $70 for and oil change! No joke! Told me my Toyota required synthetic oil. I told them I've never paid over $30. They asked me where I normally went. Miguel is the best!! I had an important meeting to get to in Encinitas and my battery died while getting gas at the Arco a couple of businesses down from his Jiffy Lube location. I called knowing that they must have had a jumper box and luckily I was right. Miguel came over and was able to get my car started and I was able to make it to my meeting. I tried to give Miguel a little cash to show my appreciation and he kindly refused and just said he was happy to help! They destroyed my car! I took it in for a routine oil change one day, and everything was fine, or so I thought. 4 days later, I was driving home from work and my car started seizing and making weird noises. I knew I wasn't going to make it home, so I pulled over and my boyfriend and I checked under the hood. Where they supposedly put in oil was bone dry! I had to have my car towed to the shop the next morning, and nobody helped me! They checked my car and said they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They filled it with oil and sent me on my way. I made an appointment at my dealership, and pulling up someone told me my car was leaking oil! My car ended up in the shop for almost two weeks, cost me a lot more than the cost of a simple oil change, and jiffy lube would not take responsibility. I will never go to jiffy lube again, especially not this location. The guys there do not know what they're doing, would not take responsibility for their error, and we're extremely unhelpful! read more

I suppose for the average oil change where you're in and out.. this place is fine. And I'm hesitant to blame the guys for the problem we expereinced... Car was due for an oil change... no problem. Wait was an hour - but that's not the end of the world. 30 seconds after driving off the "WARNING - OIL PRESSURE LOW. STOP IMMEDIATELY." message came on. So quickly limped back to the shop. They scratched their head, and did what they could. Same problem 2nd time I tried to leave. Then another full oil change... with premium oil... Same warning message 20 seconds after leaving. They guys had no idea what to do...but I wasn't taking the car back with that warning message on. So I left the car over night. Apparently they did a full engine flush, changed a battery link fuse, and phoned around to other shops to see if they have ever seen this. In the end, they fixed the problem. Although they can't explain exactly what they did to fix it... So they get credit for fixing this...and doing it 'on their dime'. But at the same time... I've NEVER had that warning message in the 180,000 miles and associated oil changes I've had over the last 9 years. read more

I had the best customer service from Othon & Regi!!! Everyone is very kind and helpful here I didn't catch everyone's names but they have excellent, professional, and personable customer service. I got in I filled in my first and last name, my email, address, phone number, and I think that's it. It was very simple to sign up. I was in and out of here in maybe less than 10 minutes there was one more car here, but they took me immediately! Don't quote me on the amounts but I got my oil change for approximately $75 for the first time customer discount, I got $20 off the original price of about $95? They only said nice or helpful things to me and I had my car full of stuff from moving. So I really appreciate their kindness. I've never had any issue at this Jiffy Lube. Everyone is always friendly and very courteous. These guys are in business to make money, so expect to be offered something else other than an oil change. That's just the nature of going in to a business. It's no different from being offered a larger meal at an eatery. Don't be upset if you get offered something. Just say no. In addition, I don't understand why some people's reviews are so negative when it comes to comparing doing your own oil change versus having Jiffy Lube do it. It's is cheaper when you do it yourself. You are paying for labor and the cost of recycling your used oil and oil filter. The clean up alone after doing your own oil change is worth the price of having them do it. What do you do with your used oil whenyou do it yourself? You can't just dump it anywhere. read more

I first came here with a friend after fixing his car and he was looking for an oil change, I kept a close eye on the workers to see how they worked and noticed that they actually cared, even for a beat up 2001 Honda. So with a rough work schedule I barely ever get time to work on my '98 Camaro Z28. I decided to take it here, my car's a little complicated, since I have the oil pan off of a Tahoe and I use 0w40, I notified them and they were glad to take my car and do/use what I asked them to. Great group of people and I wanted to stay and even talk cars with them but they were on the clock so I got the hell out of there. Definitely going back and recommended this jiffy lube to anyone I know, this is coming from a guy that is very picky with what goes in the car and who touches it. read more

Great service, Luis was excellentt and Mike was very courteous on the phone. They said my car would be ready in 35 min. It took 45 but they also washed the windows, vacuumed the interior, checked all fluid levels, inspection etc... all with the standard oil change and tire rotation. While it's a bit higher in price compared to other service stations, their fast service saves me time which beats an extra 10 bucks plus the extras would've probably cost more elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend having them change your air filters though. The labor to do this is like opening a can of coke and their charge is a bit high I think. But highly recommended for oil changes and inspection. I'll be back. read more

When they were done I was on a business calls, he used hand signals, made sure I got my military discount and cashed me out without Interrupting my call!! (Much appreciated) The entire time he they held and opened doors for me. Didn't make me feel as a girl I was being ripped off. They cleared the vehicle setting and put a reminder sticker.
