I think it is common knowledge that you never know what you will get at Jiffy Lubes as they vary tremendously in terms of quality and expertise of the mechanics. That said, this one is great! We'd been there before for an oil change, etc. but this time went in not only for that, but rear brakes and struts in front. (Not sure of spelling!) Estevan and John were just terrific. We were in a learning curve of uncertainity with the struts on this old car, as well as brakes, etc. Estevan's patience was close to Godliness! Honestly we took all day trying to decide what to do, comparing pricing, etc. and throughout the day (which likely resulted in his feeling like he had been at work for a week, not a day...) he showed zero impatience, was VERY kind and pleasant and in the end, it meant everyone else had left for the day and he was still wrapping up with us! Just GREAT customer service. I think we can all agree that is a rarity now. John was also super kind and helpful. Great mechanic...unexpected at Jiffy Lube. Worked with us and our changing time line and still got them on before he had to leave. Was able to get the back brakes on super fast and we were on the road the following morning! I had just had my car serviced by one of the leading full service automotive and repair shops in Palm Desert. Two days later my wife and I took the car out to run some errands. When we returned, we discovered a large puddle of oil in the garage that we hadn't noticed before we left. I immediately suspected that the mechanic had failed to properly seat or tighten the oil filter. It was late Friday afternoon and the service facility was already closed. We were a little panicked because we were supposed to drive to an important event on Saturday near Temecula. I immediately drove the vehicle to Jiffy Lube, showed them a picture of the puddle of oil that I'd taken on my phone, and showed them the invoice from my repair facility showing that the vehicle had just been serviced. Jiffy Lube's technician, Alex, quickly confirmed that the filter was "very loose" and suggested replacing the filter, rather than merely tightening it, to ensure we had no further issues. The oil did not need to be topped off because my regular service facility had actually overfilled the oil reservoir. The service manager, Adrianna, insisted on doing this WITHOUT CHARGE even though the defective service WAS DONE BY A COMPETITOR and despite my repeated offer to pay for the part and labor!!! Came in here as I usually go to my nearest jiffy lube for my oil change, this palm desert location was the closest one to me since I was getting out of work I go in here and I stand in the front desk for 20 minutes. Their phone rings and they go grab the phone end the call and still no welcome or how can I help you. Decided to walk out since I wasn't getting serviced. Went to the jiffy lube off Madison and 111 and the best customer service and was done within 15 min. Save your time and go there instead. They should work on their customer service skills. I reviewed this Jiffy lube 3 years ago . I m sorry to say something has changed. I went in there today I pulled up where it says stay in your car. The guy Edward waved me a little closer in and then yelled at me to stop "I haven't even checked you in!!!" I mean angry. I was shocked at his tone. He told me to back up so I did. I waited while Edward was doing something by the office at the same time holding a non work convo with another employee Carlos , who was working on the only car they had there. After a few mins Edward acknowledged-me and said ok and told me to move my car forward. Apparently he was not happy with the way I was following his directions because again he was yelling at me and told me to back up again and I felt embarrassed and awful. Another worker came out of the office and also was there. I felt so embarrassed that when he stop talking , I ask him to just direct me thru because I'm not going to stay. He was horrible and so rude. It was embarrassing. As I left I asked his name and then he shouted and I mean shouted "Have a nice Day!" And u know how he meant that. What an experience. Enough for me to write about it. I decided to try another Jiffy lube and it was the experience I remember. Go to the store on hwy 111 and Adam street . 3/3/2017 I went in to get my tri-annual service. Jose was the gentleman that walked me through the process. It was about three in the afternoon, so I happened to be the only customer in there at the time. They suggested a new cabin filter, topped off, and changed the fluids and twenty minutes later I was good to go. I know they have some bad reviews and I am not sure if they are under new management but my wife took her van and told me the service was great. I took my car in (even took pictures Lol) and they came right up and greeted me, walked me into the lobby to sit down and said he would be right back. I had a bad filter (very dirty) got it replaced told me all the costs up front. Washed the windows, vacuumed the car did the oil change and I was out in 20 min. Great experience. They'll let you know if they believe you need to change air filters or have other services, but they have never pushed me into getting something I didn't need or want to have.
