This place has slipped. The service people are a bit sloppy. Screws were not replaced, they lied about checking one of the filters, we watched the guy and he couldn't get the cover off so he lied about checking it, then left the other screws off. Since my only service has been here, then when he said the screws were stripped then they are the ones that stripped them. It used to be a great place. Thieves - pass it along. Reset my oil change indicator and did no work. Day manager admitted it when I returned and showed proof. Old smelly oil and obviously old filter. My experience is unbelievable. You can't even make this up & I regret being referred to Jiffy Lube. First we took our vehicles to the New Braunfels location (since the closer one on Pat Booker stated they were closed on line) where we were informed they did not have the oil filters for 1 of our vehicles. We were then informed that the Pat Booker location was in fact open despite what it says on line. We request they call ahead to make sure they have the proper filters. We're all set and guess what? Pat Booker says "we have the filters but not the proper tools & to go to Nacogdoches because they are a full service location". Again we have them call ahead prior to our arrival. Now at the THIRD Jiffy Lube location, our vehicles are brought in, service is started when we are once again informed they do not have the correct filter. An employee had to take their personal vehicle to go buy the filter. Ok. Both oil changes are done, we pay, drive off. That's when I hear something from under my vehicle. Something is now hanging down & dragging! Fourth trip back, they fix whatever is wrong. At least that is what I'm told. Fast forward take me vehicle home, park it in the garage where unbeknownst to me my vehicle is leaking oil all over my garage floor. I am now back for my FIFTH time to have my vehicle returned to the condition I brought in. Apparently per the Mgr, a gasket was improperly placed and my skid plate was missing not one but 3 screws! Went for an oil change. Technician calls me outside and tells me I need an air filter. Says I'm supposed to change it every 12k miles. I was astounded and retrieved the owners manual which says every 30K miles. Too late since he already threw it away. He tried to retrieve it from the trash only to discover it had gotten oil or dark liquid on it. I think he was embarrassed so the manager gave me a new one for free. read more

My most recent experience was terrible. After over a half hour, they were unable to change my oil because my filter cap was screwed on so tightly that they would need to break it off in order to access the filter. My previous oil change was done at the Jiffy Lube on Fredericksburg Road, and either place stripped the cap. Their solution was to break off the cap and get a new one at NAPA down the street. At this point, I took the situation into my own hands and took the car to the NAPA to see if the part was available, which it was not. So, this jiffy lube was going to break a part on my car without knowing if a replacement was available. Austin took my name, number, and email address and said he would hash it out with the other jiffy lube and get back to me. That was over three weeks ago. I thought I could trust jiffy lube, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Professional right off the bat. I came in for an oil change. They said they got me. Took my keys. And they guided me into the office where there was coffee and tv. Although I could have asked to change the channel the local news was fitting. When I was close to finishing up and handed my inspection papers letting me know it'd be 15 minutes until I was all set. They called me up after completion and I paid then left. It was fast and easy. The only thing was the prices hurt my wallet. So for that 4 stars. read more

I went here a few days ago for an oil change, which by the way is WAY too expensive, and a few days later my car started having not 1, but 2 problems that it's never had before. Never coming to ANY Jiffy Lube again, and will not recommend to anybody. read more

Don't trust these folks! Said I needed a battery, and they lied. Oreilly's checked same battery and it's fine.

They try to up sell you but that's expected, just walk in knowing what you want done. There is usually a coupon you can get from online, I got $13 off my oil change (which took about an hour.) read more

Watch out! These guys try to "up sale" at every chance; told me coolant low, wipers bad, air filter dirty...the usual items to make money off of the "idiot customers." All of these items were perfectly fine. I just needed an oil change so they could handle the proper disposal of used oil. read more

I just went to Jiffy Lube on Pat Booker Rd in Universal City, TX - just needed an oil change - synthetic - for a Hyundai Tucson that takes 4.25 quarts of oil. First guy told me $100 for pure synthetic. Office manager told me $74.95 which sounded better, so I did it. Here's what happened. Tech came in and showed manager dirty air filter. Manager said we don't have it and dismissed him. Bill came for $74.95 for 4.25 quarts of oil which is just over $14.25 a quart. I asked about this and Manager said we jay charge 74.95 for any amount up to five quarts, then it's lower. Wow. They only charged $2.86 "parts tax". They got my name wrong, and the city where I live, on the receipt - they are unable to correct it once it prints but they assure you that if you need maintenance proof for your warranty, that won't matter. -and in the end, since they didn't have one, they never bothered to tell me my air filter is all messed up. read more

I've been here several times. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Of course, like ANY vehicle maintenance place (oil change, dealer, shade tree mechanic) they'll always find something that needs to be done/replaced/repaired etc. My experience here is no different in that regard than anywhere else I've ever been. The prices are competitive and in the 4-5 times I've been here, they get the job done pretty quickly. read more

Not a bad place but by no means a great place to get your oil changed either. Biggest complaints are the price is way to high and employee knowledge is barely adequate for what they do. read more

I had to go back in and ask them to vacuum my car because they didn't like they're suppose to, they still left it dirty. I had to go back in again to ask them to get the maintenance required sign to go off which I have to do every time because my vehicle doesn't automatically remove that. read more
