Food service and ambiance. Great value, great food, great staff. Cheese biscuits are to die for.

So. About two weeks ago, I ordered from this Jimn Nick's, Hiram, GA location. I paid around $40 for ribs, baked beans, corn-on- the cob, and wings. The only item that was decent were the baked beans. That's it. So, I actually $40 for baked beans. I took the DIY approach to salvage this meal. The BBQ sauce on these ribs had a nasty taste. I scraped the sauce off the ribs and put my own store-bought sauce. Yes, the store bought BBQ is better than the sauce that was supplied. Put them in the oven for reheat. I added parmesan cheese to the corn. It already had some seasoning but needed something more. Put that in the oven for reheat. The wings... just no! No salvaging here even with the ranch dressing. I tried the Alabama sauce for the first time... no. It may be that Jim n Nicks version is horrible. It's mayonnaise. With all this redoing and reheating, I should have just cooked myself. That was the point of take out. Convenience. Time saving. So 2 stars for supplying the food. Customer service was good. I was able to find a designated parking space and it was "ready" in time. No, I will not be returning. No, I do not recommend. read more

Like my review of the Nick's in Acworth, good BBQ, great Mac-n-cheese & decent slaw, but in my view, the famous cheesy biscuits (really muffins) steal the show. Plus they'll bring more. Good iced tea with crunchy ice as well, though they also have a full bar. Going at lunch Sunday we were told a 20 min. wait using the Yelp Waitlist. In 15, we were sitting in a booth, so well done. It's pricey, but usually enough to take home for lunch the next day, improving the value. read more

The brisket is the BOMB!! Really good. Lots of seating. It is always busy! So be prepared to order when you go! ( look at menu ahead of time) Drinks were really good! Nice site for price. The bar is easier for just two people. All the food was phenomenal! The white bbq sauce is something you should try! The food is NOT cooked in BBQ sauce so be prepared to choose your sauce and ask for extra! 10/10 read more

Hostess ignored my son and I (black woman/ black son) and tried to sit others down before us - I spoke up and said excuse me we were here first - she looked at me nasty and says " Excuse Me"? Then had a nerve to tell her male co-worker what happened as if I was in the wrong. Humble yourself young lady. Understand that your title is to be hospitable not rude or racist. The chicken breast was dry, the ribs were chewy with no smoke flavor, the Mac and cheese was mostly cheese barely any Mac, the greens had waaaaay too many onions in them almost all onion and stem, the potato salad had so much relish was way too sweet, the baked beans had so much vinegar and green pepper taste, the BBQ sauce was so runny, so much vinegar I had to use my own at home. The banana pudding had so much whipped cream and barely any pudding. Only highlight was the muffins and deviled eggs. This place used to be so good I don't know what happened but I feel like I wasted $50 and a 30 minute trip. Very disappointed. read more

So let me start by saying I am a tough critic when it comes to BBQ because I love it. We came here for dinner tonight, got seated very quickly and Jennifer was our waitress. She was absolutely pleasant, she is one of the reason I gave 4 stars... otherwise I would have only given 3 stars for the food. We ordered and our food was out in 13 minutes I timed it because we were on a time limit..I ordered deviled eggs they are the other reason that they got 4 stars. They were so good, I really enjoyed them.. I also got the pulled chicken sandwich with a side of corn. The chicken was dry but once I put some of the bbq sauce on it it came alive.. I know this is the south but I would like for certain restaurants to get with the times and not serve all sides with pork in them so that I can try more than 2 sides. Hard to mess up corn so no complaints there.. My husband ordered 3 meats and 2 sides ( pulled pork, pulled chicken and sausages), collared greens & macaroni and cheese. He liked most of the meal. He mentioned that the sausages could have been grilled a little longer and that the collared should have been cooked longer also... another bright spot is the cheese biscuits!!!!!!! read more

It wasn't that great. Spare ribs didn't really taste good. They didn't have bake potatoes. I think the later you show up the less food they have to offer and it just doesn't taste that good. read more

One of my favorite BBQ places near my home. The Loaded Baked with chicken is always a winner in my book. The chilli is my husbands favorite and can't say enough about their pulled pork. The restaurant is very spacious and the servers are always so nice. Their cheese bread is a must and trust me you will want more to take home with you, you can't get enough of them. read more

Service was good friendly. Food was awful will never go back. The Bill was 90.00 for very bad food. Ordered two half rack and one whole rack of baby back ribs and receive regular ribs, large ribs not baby back ribs but was charge for regular ribs. As we all know baby back ribs are on the small size theses were huge. Buyer beware. They were all tough and burnt on the edges and very dry, not moist and one of the half racks was raw in the middle. Love Jim and Nicks food. Sadly, the 5 out of 5 times fail to pack accurate to-go orders and door dash is worse. Something is ALaWAYS missing, tonight a family meal with none of the sides. I ordered a large takeout order and they completed the order with 100% accuracy. After I went through all of the items, the manager (McCulley) graciously came over and asked if there is anything he could do. I told him that they were doing a great job and everything looked good. He then offered to give me 12 extra Cheese muffins because of my inconvenience for driving so far to pick up the food. All of the staff were extremely helpful. The food was awesome. Used to love this place but ever since the pandemic the food is not hitting like it used to PLUS the portion sizes are ridiculous for what you're charged. If I'm paying $20 for a two piece catfish dinner then the fillets should be a pretty decent size. The ones I received looked like something from a kid's meal. I can get those sizes at Captain D's for much less. Also getting rid of favorites ie the mashed potatoes is never a good thing. I still visit from time to time but if I'm going to pay $20+ I'd rather go to a restaurant where I'm getting more bang for my buck. read more

I have never been disappointed since I started coming in 2005 when I moved to the area. Every member of my family enjoys which is a feat in and off itself. My coworkers from three different employers love the food and service, too. My dad just said, "they just got me with the buns. I could come in here and just order the buns with no sides." He's right, but he's talking about the rolls. I have ordered rolls on my way through Hiram on several occasions. I've seriously never heard a complaint about one item or staff member at this particular Jim 'N Nick's location. read more

I'm not a BBQ conneisur, but I ebjiybgiod food; and this is the best BBQ I've had in my 52 years. EVERYTHING was great! Baked beans, Mac and cheese; and the Cole slaw! Who fights over Cole slaw? We did not really, she beat me to it... I now have a "go to" BBQ place. read more

I have had good experiences but lately several of my carry out orders has been very disappointing. The fish use to be two large catfish now it's 4 small undercook non-fresh fillets. The Ribs are not as season as they use to be. It has been times I had to go inside after ordering curbside and my food was just sitting there and a group of workers just sitting around talking. HQ need to seriously take note to these transparency issues that customers are experiencing and get back to their branding. read more
