Greasy spoon diner at it's best. I have only enjoyed breakfast from here, but we are starting to become regulars, that could be good OR bad? You can't beat the price, Saturday's egg specials are $4.95. Good luck finding that sort of deal at another breakfast spot in Omaha. I will say, the chicken fried steak is some of the best I have ever had. They also have great pancakes. A few other items not so great, the breakfast burrito (covered in canned nacho cheese) and the Belgian Waffle (it had a greasy coating). The free coffee is also nothing fantastic. While the breakfast is tasty, I'm not a fan of the Keno atmosphere, there are still 'smoking' areas, which carry over through the whole place. If you go for breakfast, wait to shower until after you eat here. Good for families, or friends needing a belly full of heavy breakfast after a night of drinking. This "diner" is attached to a keno bar, which would've been interesting except I don't understand how you call yourself a diner when you don't serve breakfast after 11 am. The staff was super friendly and helpful for the 5 minutes we were there. read more

Been waiting for 30 minutes for breakfast, had bad service and rude waitress a year ago, thought we would try again......last week was great. A hidden place just behind the LaVista keno building. It is a definite hangout for older people. Most of the patrons who still had hair were definitely on the gray side. Being 65 I fit right in. We seated ourselves and our very nice waitress was quickly over with our menus and took our drink orders. I had the half pound cheeseburger and fries. The burger was huge and very good. It was a little bit more done then I usually get but still very good. It came with pickles, lettuce, tomato and onion. My only complaint was that the bun, while being soft and tasty, did not quite hold up to the large burger. My fries were perfectly done and delicious. My wife had the sloppy Joe special. She really liked its flavor and abundance of meat. We shared a bowl of chicken and rice soup and a bowl of broccoli cheese soup. Both were very good but the broccoli cheese soup needed more cheese in it. We both were wishing we had ordered the onion rings when we saw them delivered to tables close to us. Judging by how many people ordered them, they must be very good. They were very large and almost made me drool just looking at them. The food is reasonably priced and the daily specials are in the 7 to 8 dollar range. Not my favorite place, but I will be back to at least try those onion rings. read more

Horrible customer service and response to a complaint about the food. The manager was unsympathetic to the complaints and did not offer to fully comp the one meal out of 12 that the concern was regarding. Instead she called us liars about the complaint that we had. In my history of working in the restaurant industry this is the worst response to a complaint by a manager I have ever experienced. If you come here, you better hope everything comes out correctly and cooked properly the first time, otherwise your screwed. read more

Ordered breakfast to go last weekend, when I went to pick it up I had to talk to 3 different confused servers. Two of them got a little attitude with each other. Got the food home to find my order missing the eggs, extra side of bacon black and burnt to a crisp. The rest of the meals were ok. We won't be back. read more

Awesome place for breakfast. They serve lunch but have never been there for it. My favorite is their "country casserole". It is hashbrowns with eggs, cheese, and gravy on it. It comes with toast, biscuit, or pancakes ( which of course you have to go pancakes. They have healthy options too. They have good prices. read more

I truly enjoy Sunday brunch, so when I read the reviews for this place I decided to give it a try. My honey ordered fried chicken gizzards and I ordered corned beef hash with eggs. Now I was VERY specific and asked the waitress, "Is the corned beef hash homemade or from a can?" She told me that it was made fresh. I double checked and asked, "So, it's made from scratch here?" She said yes. When our meals arrived I looked at my breakfast and found it odd that it looked exactly like canned corned beef. After tasting it I can tell you that they did a helluva job warming up canned corned beef or completely sucked all the flavor out of "homemade" corned beef. Our waitress, while a nice person, was also very absentminded and we had to constantly chase her down and remind her of things. (I'm still waiting for my coffee refill that I requested) Sorry Jimbo but epic fail. PS. The two stars are for the gizzards. They lacked flavor but were really crunchy. read more

Looks like a great place to eat. Takes a while to get a menu , and place an order. Longer to get your food. Before my food came , 2 people complained about food. My order came late and cold corn, cold potatoes and gravy, and cold liver tasting steak. Wife's food was the same. No sense in complaining they won't be open very much longer. read more

Food was decent as always. Service sucked. Took 5 minutes to get anyone to recognize us and the server that did looked at another one and said "I'll get your table started ". She responded back "that's your table". Oh, OK. Zero service whatsoever. Our server, Jerrica, spent all her time at one table talking to them. Another server brought out our food. Breakfast: Scramble eggs were mediocre(but I'm picky with my eggs). Sausage and hash browns were good...not great. The pancakes...now I would go back just for those!! Very good pancakes! read more

My wife and I have eaten at Jimbos a few times. The drinks and food are at a really good price. Unfortunately the food sucks. The potatoes for the potatoes skins were over cooked, dry and falling apart. The ground beef was also the same as what was on the so called mexican food. It was also over cooked, dry and tasted burnt. The cheese sauce on the pot. skins and nachos tasted as if it where poured from a can. Horrible. Don't think ill be eating in there again. Menu items aren't bad, but I think they need a new cook and some much updated recipes. Will not eat there again until they get a new cook. read more

Good breakfast, good food in general. Hot beef is great as well as the chicken. They have $1 tacos on Monday which are decent. It's a great bang for your buck. Same with the attached bar, it's cheap. read more
