Always stop by at least once a week for a #9 Italian night club sandwich. Love the fact that they are open late (3 AM) and their sandwiches are pretty damn fast. Not particularly a fan of the delivery service as a .30 charge per sandwich is always added on top of your order, not to mention tip which usually makes a 5.95$ sandwich come out to ~$7.50. The JJ gargantuan is a little meaty and a very dense sandwich, would fill anyone but kinda loses out on the special blend that their normal combinations provide. This location has the worst service of any Jimmy Johns I've ever ordered from. Continually emphasizing how quick their service is, yet every single time I've placed an order it's taken over 45 minutes to receive my sandwich. Then, when I call them *MLK location* to check on my order, they assure me that "they are backed up" and apologize. I do use the app most of the time (which might complicate things, I guess...???). Nonetheless, I recommend calling your order in versus placing it on the iPhone app. The MLK Jimmy Johns location is beyond sub-par. You're better off getting a Dominos pizza before getting your Jimmy Johns sandwich. Or go to CVS and buy a lunchable. MLK Jimmy Johns location is trash. @JimmyJohn get your shit together. Super friendly staff at this convenient location right off the UT campus in Austin! The sandwich creation time was quicker than average and there was a TON of seating at the restaurant. The sandwich, chips and drink combo was incredible as always. I would definitely recommend heading in if you're in need of a Jimmy Johns fix! It's January 26th,2020. A friend and I decide to mix it up a little and order pickup from this location. I go and pick up our order and when I got to work my part of the order was done wrong. I spoke on the phone to Fabiola, one of the managers. She washed her hands on the matter saying it was the "other manager" the one that messed up my order. She placed me on hold for about 6 minutes. When the man, Miguel (for what my ticket says) answered he was very unsympathetic about the problem. I told him we only had a 30 minute lunch break and that he could send my order with a delivery driver since we're a few blocks away. He refused and kept on giggling while I was trying to get the matter resolved. (Mind you, this is a man about 30 years old, not a child) I asked him for the district manager's number for that location, he giggled and said he didn't know him or his number. He sounded annoyed when I asked him to resolve the issue. I had to remind him he is a manager and that's exactly what he is supposed to do. Fix issues. It's irritating enough to have your order messed up like to have the managers laugh at your expense once you go and complain. He kept on laughing at me over the phone. I called corporate and their offices are closed on Sundays, so no answer there. Finally he said: " I either give you another sandwich and "you" come and pick it up or I give you credit so you can get another one some other time". He said in an antagonistic tone. "Or you could get your money back, but you have to came back here to get it". His tone was still aiming to get a rise out of me. I went to pick up the money because I was afraid he will tamper with a sandwich if I give him that option. When I arrived, I decided to speak to Fabiola, the other manager so I can deescalate the situation. When he told her were the money was at he still used the same tone and said:" Are you sure you don't want another sandwich?" I didn't say anything, I thanked the woman for giving me my money back and as I headed out the door the man (Miguel) was in the back of working on a sandwich in a very high-pitched voice yelled: "Byeeeee!!! Have a nice Daaayyy!! Needles to say I'm not going back to that place. If customers can't be treated with dignity and respect, there is no need to show up at that location. I hope upper management takes the necessary steps to correct this issue. I'm not sure what kind of training the employees receive from their superiors, but it leaves a lot to wish for. read more

I live less than half a mile from the store; called at the hour mark and dealt with two very rude people who told me my sub was on the way with the runner despite me being able to hear them discussing it sitting on the counter still. Jimmy Johns is a strange place for me. I used to live right down the road from them and after coming home from downtown I'd walk right over there just shy of 2 or 3 in the morning and get the most delicious sandwich...the beach club. It was such a strange sensation when a few weeks ago I was on a business trip in the middle of nowhere and sure enough down the street from my hotel was a Jimmy Johns. I thought what the hell? Pretty decent, straightforward sandwiches. The tuna's not too mayo-y, the bacon's not too greasy, and the veggies are plenty. If you're looking for quick and tasty, this fits the bill - "gourmet" is misleading, but it's hard to beat fast service and a well-constructed sandwich. If you get the sliced wheat bread your sandwich's innards might occasionally try to make a break for it, but otherwise not at all sloppy. The sandwiches here at Jimmy Johns are a bit plain. I've had both pepperoni and veggie sandwiches. The veggie sandwiches are actually pretty good. They put cucumbers in it instead of meat which still gives it that "bite into" sensation that you get with a meat sandwich so it's not like you're biting into a salad or piece of lettuce. I wouldn't call them quite sandwich artists but they're definitely not bad. Their delivery is fast. I've personally seen them running up the stairs of buildings to deliver. read more

I am not so much into chain restaurants and one day decided to try out jj. I ordered a delivery online and was impress on the fast service. One day, I was by the store located on W. MLK and went inside to eat... Even a faster service:)!!! I sat down and unwrapped my sandwich and I realized I forgot to asked them to cut the sandwich in half. I took it to the counter and asked one employee to help. He grabbed it and looked at the manager and the manger told him "go ahead". As I observed, I noticed the manager asked for the knife the employee used to cut it and replaced it with a new one. Great to know they care about preventing bacteria exchange:). The manager made sure the knife that touch my sandwich wasn't been used for other new sandwich (in case i had touched it when I unwrapped it). They rather switch knives than tell customers they can't, since I unwrapped it. Also, Kudos for not making me feel uncomfortable. Even though they didn't realize I saw them, I am glad I witness their work ethic. I congratulate the manager and staff for the good job. It's 1am 3/31 Regardless of what the menu says I asked the cashier a simple question that merited a simple response (veggies). A gentleman wearing a polo shirt far behind cashier rudely answers, "It's on the menu". (By the way, who asked you?) I really like their tuna sandwich because it is healthy with lots of fresh lettuce and cucumbers and with the tuna for getting your Omega 3's. The one thing I absolutely wish they would change at this place is the choice of music. The typical stuff they play would give me indigestion if I had to eat and listen to it on a regular basis. I'm sure they are catering to a much younger crowd though. I either eat outside or get it to go. But it is entirely possible to have "hip" music that isn't offensive and less than desirable for mastication and digestion. How about some smooth jazz? read more

This place always smell of freshly baked bread when I enter. This bread, not coincidentally, is also the best part of the sandwich. As for the fillings, they're also pretty good.
