Sometimes I crave a simple sandwich. That's all you can get here, they skimp on the meat which is poor quality, they only have provolone, packaged guacamole, and sauce choices are tons of mayo or a dab of dijon. I love sandwiches and Jimmy Johns USED to be my first choice but NOW the service has really dropped off. After several instances where they got my order wrong, yesterday took the cake. Honestly if it was a busy night, I would understand... but the place was completely empty... I ordered (and paid) for an Italian Night Club and instead got a lettuce tomato sandwich!! (AND I asked for no tomatoes!) I mean come on, service like this I would much rather go to thundercloud, jersey mikes, or even SUBWAY! At least they don't forget to add pretty much ALL the ingredients between the bread! It's sad to see a company gain success and forget about the people who supported them on the way... What can I say? I'm a huge fan of JImmy John's! I've only ever had the vegetarian sandwiches, but they're both yummy! The bread really makes the sandwich - not too hard, but not too soft and it has that perfect French bread taste. The veggies are always fresh and crisp, as well as the avocado spread they use. I'm not a huge fan of the vegetarian club sandwich, but it's still pretty tasty! I suggest the vegetarian sub sandwich with extra mayo! Yum! Their chips and cookies are also delicious. The best part about Jimmy John's, however, is the fact that they deliver so damn quickly! The delivery people usually don't have the best people skills, but hey! I'm not complaining! :) read more

This is a pretty decent sandwich if you're not living somewhere that has real sub shops, like New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, eh? The bread will pass for real bread if you have been away from home long enough and forgot what a sub is like; there's a crust and tooth to it that no other chain (squashy sandwich bread and bologna anyone? Jared?) can boast, and the coldcuts are top quality. They're all good, but for god sake, MAYONNAISE DOESN"T GO ON ITALIAN SUBS. It pisses me off that I have to remember to uncheck that every time I order on line. I'd give it five stars if they'd just admit that that white gloop is an abomination. No I wouldn't. Well, maybe Delivery is the way to go with this dump. Or perhaps they subcontract the delivery orders out to a real sandwich shop. A few of us tried it out recently. I had a simple ham and cheese sub. The ham was disgusting, I had to scrape off the mega excessive mayonnaise, the bread was tasteless as well as the vegetables. It made me appreciate Subway. But the most annoying thing was the blaring music. I politely asked the manager if he would turn it down and he walked away without saying a word. We use JJ for working lunches a lot here (Lunch 'n Learns we call them) and I have been spending a ton of $$ there every week. Finally went to speak to the manager, who was very nice and who now takes my complicated large orders herself. To be fair, I call in the AM to make sure they are not busy as we typically order 15-20 boxes and everyone wants something different. I seem to always get the #10, very easy on the mayo, with regular chips and cc cookie. Very unhealthly but good lunch! Oh, the #9 (Italian) isn't bad, but seems to be a bit much if you are working the rest of the day. Anyway, tastes good, decent price, good service now that we fixed it. Staff is always friendly, helpful and super fast! I've ordered from them three times and have recieved the correct sandwich on one occasion but none of that really matters because the sandwiches in my bag were always delicious! It's all about that French bread. read more

The music was so loud I could barely hear anything. My friend asked them to turn it down while he was trying to order, which they did for all of a second - literally. When I got up to retrieve my sandwich, it turned out to be the wrong one, probably because I couldn't hear what the guy had said, or because the girl took my order wrong in the first place. I'll never know, because I also wasn't given a receipt! Rather than dealing with all the hassle, I just ate what they gave me. I wonder who got mine... From now on, I'll just go to the Subway across the street. You can watch as they make your sandwich and be sure they get it right, and the prices are better too. Even asking for little mayonnaise will give you more than you want. Besides that I would say a mediocre sandwich in comparison to the subway across the street but can't beat the speed. read more

This place is not kid friendly, they do not have highchairs and the staff is extremely unfriendly. What do you spect when you are getting your sandwich made by a whole bunch of students. In my opinion, there is really no comparison when it comes to an incredible sub at a reasonable price. Consistent, cheap, fast delivery... I've never had a bad experience.. I am glad I don't own a Quizno's, Subway, or even a Thundercloud...they all better keep an eye in their rear view mirror. read more

When I get to work and don't have time to pick up lunch I call JJ's. They are very fast. The only complaint I have is that sometimes I get an upset tummy after eating here. But I tend to get that with a lot of fast food places. read more

Just ordered from this location and had to take the time to make a review before I ate. The driver was able to actually bring it to my door (which no one ever does since it's such a huge complex). Also it got here extremely fast AND the delivery guy used his bike. Couldn't be happier. read more

I am not a fan of sandwiches, if I dont make them at home, however starved, I ordered from JJ's. I was very impressed, their delivery was fast and the sandwich good. Only reason it missed and extra star is I added avocado to my sandwich and it must have been only a drop added at the center. I had to pull the sandwich apart. I just don't get it. I can (and do) make better sandwiches at home. They don't do anything special.. their bread is plain, schlotszkys at least has crispy on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside.. nothing innovative at all. Guys, you can go to HEB or Randalls and grab some salami, ham, and cheese.. a little mayo and mustard and make a jimmy johns sammy in your kitchen in less than 5min. At least at Thundercloud you can get a "nada chicken".. Jimmy John's is no better than Subway- tastewise.. it's open later.. the ONLY time i have found myself actually eating here is walking to my car from downtown (having to pee) so i stopped in and grabbed food to sober up and pee.. (of course with my luck- a dude came out of the women's bathroom..) but yeah- this place pretty much blows.. especially when you have other options like schlotzskys, thundercloud, which wich, etc. Subway is worthless as well-nothing you couldnt make yourself, quizno's (on william cannon) has given food poisoning twice.. but only because of that is it worse. read more

i ordered my food at noon, but realized i had given the wrong phone number on my online order. i called back at about 12:20 and was told by one female that it was ok because my food was already on its way. 1pm rolls around and i call back and the kid doesn't recall anything about my order. after refreshing his memory for several seconds he remembers they transferred my order to the red river location. The red river location calls me to say they threw out my order because they had the wrong phone number. I explained that I had called to correct my phone number but at no time was i told that my order was transferred. I will never order from the mlk store again. this was just painfully bad customer service. I was trying to work through lunch and spent more time just trying to get a delivery than it would have taken to go sit down and eat somewhere. read more
