    #9 Italian original
    Kou L.

Came in 45 mins just before closing. We wanted some subs for dinner and luckily Jimmy John's was still open while most sub place have closed at 9pm. It was not busy, we placed our order and received our subs less than 5mins. We sat down and ate our subs and surprisingly it was good. 8in sub..?? That's enough even forb2 ppl if you're not hungry. I got the tuna and my bf got the spicy Italian all original and it was not a disappointment. Our subs was light and there was enough meat in our subs. Definitely recommend. Service was ok.

The way a sub should be made. Ingredients sliced fresh daily, down the the meat and cheese.

But, we'll give it a shot. From first appearance, it looks like a typical fast food joint. Order and pay at the counter. Then, sit and wait for your food. But, they do cook your food to order. I guess that's necessary, with a menu with so many choices. I could have pondered that menu for a long time, but they made it easy for me by having their "two good for $7" special. Four items offered and you pick any two of them. Quite a deal, and the choices seem to change every month. Seems like a good way to get people to try different menu items. I ordered the Wild West Burger and Loaded Fries. The place wasn't busy, so our food was ready pretty quickly. My burger had cheese, bacon, bbq / chipotle sauce and a couple of onion rings. The burger patty was overcooked but the sandwich was pretty good. The loaded fries came with chopped scallions, bacon bits and a special sauce. It was a very good choice. I'll come back to sample other items on the menu.

They offer a great lunch special, so definitely check it out. My husband ordered a burger and it was actually better than my roast beef, so if I go again, I will get that. Please, for the love of all things delicious, get yourself some cheese curds. They were fantastic. Other reviews are correct that the service is geared more toward the drive-thru. There is only one person working the register and maybe one or two people in the back. Even so, the service was sincere and they clearly wanted us to be happy, which I was. The milkshakes looked great and I may try one next time. The portions were much larger than expected and we really should have split a lunch.

According to Sarah, this one won a Dallas award for best Cuban. - See photo. I have had more than a few Cuban sandwiches in my life, and this one is absolutely top tier. I found the spot on Yelp and we headed over right after a trip to the DMV. We definitely deserved a treat after that. We ordered two sandwiches to split, the shredded beef and the original Cuban. They offer several variations of Cubans..., including one with mortadella that I am already planning to try next time. I will admit, in the review photos the sandwiches might not look pressed or buttered enough. Trust the process. The bread was perfection. I am very particular about grilled sandwiches being truly grilled and fully heated through, and these ladies know exactly what they are doing. The original Cuban was perfectly balanced and a rock solid classic. The shredded beef was - (Meat prep courtesy of Sarah) a delightful surprise, slightly sweet and savory and incredibly flavorful and texture. Just really, really good. We also got a bag of plantain chips, and I respect that those are the only chips they offer. No generic bagged Lays here. Plantain chips or nothin' - I like it!!! There is also a display case full of beautiful baked treats made by Rita. After sandwiches at that level, there was no way we were leaving without dessert. We took three to go: a meringue filled with dulce de leche, which was a total sleeper hit, a guava and cheese pastry, and a dulce Napoleon. Every bite felt special. The inside is authentic and charming, though the tables are a bit tight. I cannot wait to go back.

They had another favorite of mine - the white chocolate apricot bread. Ask them to put it through their slicing machine. My first job in high school was working in a bakery. The bread slicing machine takes me back there. Take a slice of the white chocolate apricot bread, toast it in your toaster, add a little butter and a nice little breakfast snack is yours!

When one employee finally looked at me, he simply stared at me and gestured by throwing his arms out as if to ask, "What do you want?" in an unprofessional manner. I clearly stated what I wanted to order, but I felt that I was being ignored. Unsure if there was a language barrier, I began pointing to the menu items and identifying exactly what I wanted. Instead of assisting me, the employee began loudly repeating and confirming my order four separate times in a manner that felt more like yelling than customer service. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed by the lack of basic courtesy and communication. Regardless of any language differences, customers should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect.
