This Jimmy John's location on Phillips Highway in Jacksonville is a well managed Jimmy John's location that makes quality sandwiches quickly when you are on the move. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that everything is made the right way.

They are friendly, fast and at the office at least 3 times a week. It's a nice addiction. If you have to work through lunch to make sure you beat a deadline no one will be more efficient for lunch then Jimmy Johns. They definitely can't do any wrong when they walk in an hour before we normally call and offer free sandwiches and/or coupons for free sandwiches. And everyone knows I want no pickles!

My perfect lunch spot. Throughout my week I always make about 2 to 3 stops here for my Italian Sub with extra mayo, Jimmy John's mustard, hot peppers, and sliced pickles. It blesses my life every time! & They always get it right.

Delivered to my office...it was great for a late lunch...

Jimmy John's does a great service to my office in the Southpoint Office Park and their speed in delivering the food is unparalleled in my vicinity. I think my office has ordered from them 3 times this week alone and I was the lead participant as I cannot seem to get enough of their largest of sandwiches. What sets Jimmy John's apart from Subway and others is the apparent good quality I can taste right away. I also like the ease from ordering from their on-line menu that can save my history and my preferences. Since I work in secured location, my menu also includes instructions to the driver on where to meet me, which makes it even easier on them to deliver to me. My only further wish here is for Jimmy John's to expand their menu into mixed salads for our benefit as an alternate to hero sandwiches.

Eureka (I have found it)! Hollywood in Florida!!!!…read more JUST like Dr. Indiana Jones combing through the jungles seeking his ancient museum artifacts, I was navigating the curvy wilds of the Jacksonville Southpoint area, located near I-95 and JTB. The best things in life require some effort to build your appetite, and whereas I did not collect a golden idol like Dr. Jones, I was rewarded instead with a cheerful new friend and one of the absolute FRESHEST sandwiches in JAX! Nestled between the sparse woods and surrounding offices you will find happy, loyal diners who fill Hollywood Heroes and Subs each lunchtime to the point where the line stretches out the door. I had just seen the last of the lunch crowd smiling and saying goodbye for the day to our energetic and upbeat host, Founder, sandwich artist and Jacksonville native Kevin Porter, an actor turned restaurateur -- known for roles including "Lazer" in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, plus appearances in Daredevil and General Hospital. Something that cannot be "acted" around was his genuine welcome and desire to roll out the red Hollywood carpet for all who make the journey (yes, it's a REAL red carpet)!! This sweet shop is the perfect size, and has a significant amount of Hollywood memorabilia all around to keep you engaged while chatting with Kevin as he works his magic. And what he produced was a treasure of cheese and meats that made me forget about whatever might have been chasing me through those woods to get there! J/K In between wonderful conversation with Kevin, each bite of my MASSIVE "The Towering Inferno" hot hero (pepperoni, Genoa salami, cappy and melted provolone) on fresh baked Village Bread made me realize just how huge and delicious this thing was. Kevin promised that the one pictured is exactly what every customer will get...he prides himself on highly generous portions at fair prices...and man, did he deliver!! I would have been completely satisfied with HALF, but NO!!!! There sat its twin, begging for sacrifice to the stomach Gods. I was only too happy to oblige! The owner Kevin = engaging, friendly, talented with his craft, makes you feel like you drove through the woods to come home to your happy place. The ambiance = bright, colorful, great memorabilia, puts you as the star of the show. The sandwiches = creative in name and product with fresh being the operative word, this sandwich hit above its price point and I can't wait to try to the rest of the menu! So no, I didn't get chased by a boulder, or leave with Dr. Jones' golden idol, but I did get a Golden Belly from my experience, and the knowledge of why hundreds of hungry lunch- goers seek this "Temple of Delish" every day!! Crack the whip and corral your family into the car for this absolute treat in the core of "ancient Jacksonville!!"

Fortunately, you can avoid some of the wait if you get your food to-go. They have reserved parking spots right next to the entrance and a whole separate area to order to-go food. I came on a Thurs at 1130am and was able to order/leave in 15-20 minutes. What made me fall in love with this place was, believe it or not, the Caesar salad dressing!!! It had so much flavor and was so addicting I ate the salad in 5 minutes. The Hot Italian sandwich had tender flavorful meats, great addition with the banana peppers, and bread was light/fluffy/spot on! The wedding cake was SO GOOD! Layers of moist cake, creamy icing and sweet strawberries. Yum! The inside decor wasn't very fancy but who cares when the food's so good? Will totally be back.

Ordered at the front counter and was greeted by a friendly young lady... good start. I went in planning to get the muffaleta off the specials board. They checked on it, but no luck... they were out of the cuts needed. I was pointed toward the Italian, but my buddy already grabbed that and I felt like being different. Noticed another special on the wall, a smoked brisket sandwich. Can't remember the exact name, but that's what I went with. Instead of chips or their homemade tots, I grabbed the balsamic roasted brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Tables weren't the cleanest and were a little wobbly, but nothing deal-breaking... we made it work. Food came out pretty quick and looked solid. Flavor-wise... a little mixed. The brussel sprouts were very flaky and leafy, almost crumbled apart. You really had to work your fork to get a bite. I was picturing larger roasted halves. Sauce was fine, nothing bad, nothing special. I'd give those a 3 out of 5. The brisket sandwich was interesting. The meat was very fatty and kind of tough to chew through. Not sure if that's just the cut or the prep. I ate about three-quarters of it. It wasn't bad, just didn't hit the way I hoped. Probably still thinking about that muffaleta. Another 3 out of 5. I'd come back, no doubt... but next time I'm sticking with what they're known for. Those cheesesteaks always look great, and that's probably the move. Today was about trying something different, and I'm glad I did... even if it didn't knock my socks off.
