My dine-in order was ready before I received my change. There was a good effort to make sure my custom order was made exactly as ordered. The service was also friendly, and helpful. The sandwich had more meat than offered by other JJ locations. Also, the dining area was new, and clean. Very nice!

No one wearing mask properly while making sandwiches. Their noses are exposed. What's the point?? Gross.

Saw lots of couples - maybe this a the local date night spot?? Popped in on a Saturday evening. No reservation needed. Started with the garlic bread and chicken samosas. Both were delish. The samosas were stuffed full of chicken. The green sauce was tasty too. Lots of seafood, chicken, beef and pork entrees. I was not familiar with some of the fish entrees. It's a big menu and almost all of it is in Spanish. So I went with what Genevieve our server recommended. The chicken breast with onions and peppers. It's sounds plain but it was full of flavor and served with black beans and rice. I substituted plantains for tostones. The tostones were meh. My dinner companion ordered the chimichurri steak. It also came with black beans, white rice and plantains. She said it was delicious. They also serve paella - which I really wanted to try but they entree is for 2 or more. Some of the fish items are kinda spendy. But the other meat items are in the $20 or less range. In addition to soda and lemonade, they serve margaritas and beer. I ordered a skinny margarita and it tasted watered down. So next time I'll ask for no ice. For dessert we tried the churros. Not bad. The service was great. I'll definitely come back to try some of the seafood entrees.

It's got that great open seating, it's clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Speaking of the staff, I have to give a massive shoutout to the girl at the counter for her "Public Service Announcement." When I went to order, she gave me the lowdown: do not order anything from the tap. I appreciate that kind of radical honesty In this world of corporate greed. The menu claims they have bottled beer, but in reality, if it isn't on tap, it's in a can. I ended up with a Blue Moon in a can--a first for me--but hey, it did the job. As for the main event: I went for a 5-topping customized slice. I won't bore you with my specific architecture, but let's talk logistics. These slices are massive and have that classic New York-style "flop," which I usually love. Unfortunately, the execution was a bit of a letdown. The crust was on the dry side and the overall flavor was just... missing. It felt like a giant canvas with a splotch of paint. At the end of the day, I dropped $20 for a single slice and a can of beer. I can go to Sam's Club and get two slices and a drink for less than the tax on this meal--and actually taste the sauce--it's hard to justify the return trip. Cool vibe, great service, but the pizza needs a little more soul (and maybe a working tap).

To me, that's always a good sign, because it means that their product is in demand and they're not leaving old things on the table. They were apologetic and so very nice. Also, they have a very robust pastry case - some savory and some sweet. Not to mention their extensive grocery options! Spices, baking mixes, frozen foods, Brazilian condiments, cosmetics, even a small produce section and loads of cases of Guaraná!! (the classic Brazilian soda, a cross between apple and ginger ale IMO.) Just for context, our main dish was $15 and the delicious hamburger was $7. Check Geo's out! I had literal mafia family who owned a butcher and…read more"grinder" shop in Connecticut and I'd visit them as an 8 yr old to which they would stuff me full of food. This was the start of my love affair that still runs hot today. Excluding mom and pop restaurants, Jersey Mikes is by far the best of all chain restaurants. Jersey Mikes located off in Olathe was my first ever experience with the chain and forever etched it into my favorite chain for Subs! The hallmark of any great subshop is first quality meats and secondly them slice them to order. While a lot of shops now slice their own meats and cheeses, I believe Jersey Mikes was the first chain to do so (check me on that if wrong but I worked at Subway in the 90s and we didn't). With this info always in my mind, I'm always confident that no matter what Jersey Mikes I go to, it will be consistent and the way I like it, b/c I always order in person)! Next, they do bake their bread so another huge win in my book as most just proof up frozen bread which is devoid of the little touches. Finally, the owner was there and was an extremely friendly guy and genuinely excited to take my order! I admit, I'm a cold sub fiend and you can keep the hot subs (sorry Philly). I've literally had every one of their subs but I hold true to the original Italian. Every time I get mine, it's literally a salad on bread. A little bit of onion, lots of lettuce, tomatoes, a couple pickles, 2 japs, S&P, Oregano, lots of mayo, lots of oil, a bit of vinegar but I wish they had olives..... Mine is perfection, brought on by my countless visits and endless tinkering. Good thing I don't work there! My kids got the ham and swiss with just mayo. Granted they're young but I'm not going to argue with them if they're happy. As for the Xwife (sorry a slight lag in writing this) she got the turkey & cheese with mayo, lettuce and tomato. While she didn't die..... she did love the sub (sorry dark humor there). It was our go to spot for many years. Also note they used to serve pizza! That's correct, they were one of 3 pilot Jersey Mike's to serve pizza in addition to the subs. I'll be the first to admit, I thought it was pretty darn good and smart to combine the two American favorites. Alas they no longer serve pizza so you'll just have to opt for one of the many other options (my advice is Detroit style with Italian sausage, onions, tomatoes, olives). Back to the point the whole family was happy. In summary, the store is very clean and safe, while the staff are very nice. Admittedly if you've been to one Jersey Mike's you've basically been to them all. So, I'm basically here saying the say thing as a repeated record as I've lived all over the place and travel frequently. This store is on par with all other locations so shop in confidence you'll get the best sub around!
