I have ordered from here a number of times and the longest I had to wait for my food may be 20-25 minutes. In most cases, the food arrives very fast. They always get the order right, it's delivered promptly, and it's always good food. For cold subs, this may be the best in town. And their new summer wraps are amazing. Nowadays with the shortage of workers you see so many rants about local restaurants, I need to RAVE about the Jimmy Johns in Raytown, MO. Our youth group was serving soup and subs last night for a fundraiser and we didn't feel like making the subs ourselves, thus I compared Subway pricing and Jimmy Johns catering prices as we needed like 50 sandwiches. I placed the order at 11:30am for a 1pm pickup, when I got there at 1pm they were almost done with my order, the staff was very professional and kind, and the sandwiches all tasted great. So my order was out for delivery at 2:08 at 2:45 the app said it was delivered. Open my door no food walk down my porch no food. So I wait few minutes thinking maybe they are close and just hit they were here. Nope. Call the store a manager is put on and clearly annoyed she has to go thru the trouble to figure out what's going on. For whatever reason she was unable to immediately find the transaction and read me the address to my previous order earlier in the day to another location. I offered to give the order number and she was like no I just need to go thru all the transactions from today. She reads my MY address and then says she'll call the Driver. Few minutes later she says well I got ahold of the Driver they delivered it so are you sure it's not out there. I looked everywhere and looked at my neighbors houses NOBODY has my food. She says well they said they delivered it. Now mixups happen I get that no problem but the lack of professionalism when I'm still waiting for my kids and my lunch was ridiculous. Would I be calling to ask about my food if I had it?! She said well I guess I can have another made up and send with the driver. Which clearly wasn't going to be the same driver because that driver called me AFTER the manager finally said she would send someone out again. CLEARLY it was delivered to the wrong house not even in my general area. The driver called Me and told me she just have delivered it to the wrong place and I could go pick up a new one. Perfect case of the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing! Also the shift manager or manager could use some training in customer service seeing as how I already had paid for an order delivered to My business that day ans then ordered to be delivered to my house I have money! Go to any other Jimmy John's but this one. Almost an hour for delivery, 45 minutes after it left the store it arrived. Sorry but by then my lunch break is long over. Manager had excuse that he had two deliveries with him, still not an excuse when they have such a small delivery radius. I could have gone home for lunch and returned before it got here. read more

LOUD & Annoying. As soon as I walked in the door...the staff yelled at me wanting to take my order. I was put off. Staff addressed me as "Hey man!" Jimmy Johns Area Manager encourages "irreverent" staff behavior per my direct conversation with him; how Unprofessional! The music was WAY too loud and 9 employees were all talking at the top of their lungs. I measured the volume using my decibel app on my iPhone: 97 decibels! Normal conversation is about 60-65 dB. Comparably a jack hammer @ 50' is 95 decibels. The sandwich is good. The place is too loud and annoying. Employees are out of control; management encourages lose & irreverent behavior resulting in outright unprofessionalism. Go to Pickleman's or Pot Belly's...anywhere but here. read more

While I feel this establishment is overrated, I will be fair and share that I do not eat meat so that limits what I can eat from JJ's. I've only ever had the tuna sandwich & sub. I seldom eat breads and prefer to have it wrapped in lettuce which they offer, but not at a lower price. The tuna is okay. Definitely not bad, but not great either. I'm not a fan of their chips-- something just seems off there. But those pickles are delish. I've only ordered delivery because I only order from them when I'm in a pinch and this is the only place that I know of around here that delivers something other than pizza. I don't feel that my order comes "freaky fast", but it is timely enough and the delivery people are very pleasant which is why I tend to over-tip them even though the company charges a delivery fee-- hopefully they get some or all of that fee. read more

I usually go to Goodcents because they have a 6 inch for 2.99, and I am usually combining my sub with something else. However, since Goodcents seems to close insanely early, I found myself giving JJ's another try. Excellent service. Fast... I ordered the "Vito" and added mustard and mayonnaise. Sandwich made to order, fresh bread, and just right. Online ordering, and drive thru options rock when you dont want to get dressed. I will be visiting them again! read more

Too expensive for what you get. This was my first visit to a a Jimmy John's and will be my last. Almost $10 for a sandwich with not much stuff in the sandwich , chips, and small drink---not worth the money! The sandwich is mostly bread. The avacado "spread" looked like maybe 1 teaspoon was spread on the whole sandwich. It was barely perceivable. We walked into the restaurant at 11:20and left at noon. Only three other people came in while we were there. I saw a constant flow of people going into Chipotle while I waited about ten minutes in my car for my friend to arrive. Seeing a constant flow of people going into Chipotle and no one going into Jimmy Hohn's while I waited ten minutes in my car before going in should have made me wonder. I just experienced probably the worst customer service of my entire life. As a former fast food worker, I understand how the industry is. Customers can be annoying, and I make a point to be respectful to restaurant employees. That being said, I am floored by the terrible service I just received from Jimmy Johns. I have to order a boxed lunch for 45 men for tomorrow. I called the Jimmy Johns that was 4.9 miles away, and asked for a catering order. This snotty teen on the other line asked for my address, and then when I told him it was for 45 people, he told me, "Nah, that is way too far." and he HUNG UP. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I told the manager that I needed an order, and his employee said it was too far. He apologized, told me it would not be a problem. He told me that he would have the area manager contact me to have my order taken care of. I have had zero attitude the entire time. Two hours later, the area manager had not called. I had to leave in an hour, so I called the store back. It was that same teenager. I told him that I hadn't received a call, and if I could speak to a manager. His response, "Uh, it is Wednesday." I told him that meant nothing to me. "Girl, they are in meetings on Wednesday." so I said, "Can I talk to another manager then?" and he said, "No." AND HUNG UP. Not only did Jimmy John's lose out on over $500 in catering for this event, they have ruined all chances of my company ever ordering from them again. read more
