We went to dinner at Jimmy P's New Years Eve. One of the finest steaks we have experienced in Naples, or anywhere else for that matter! Eric (the GM) and Michael (our waiter) went out of their way to spend time with us, and were so well versed and knowledgeable about our meats and wine choices, it was not only a wonderful meal, but a learning experience as well. I hesitate to post this review as I anticipate this to become one of the most difficult places to get a table in town as their reputation grows! In spite of Eric's misplaced affection for the University of Michigan, we could not have had a more enjoyable night. The focus is on quality meats with a butcher shop connected to the dining area and the display cases full of tasty looking meats. This is not a chain steakhouse and is a couple notches above those places. For appetizers we had the house salads which were above average and some warm bread with a gourmet butter, the butter was nice touch, the bread was just ok. For entree we had the surf and turf and the grouper. The steak was cooked perfectly but did have a fair amount of house seasoning and the lobster tail was good. The grouper has a chutney that compliments the fish well. Both dishes were on point. Its Naples so the price point is higher than average across the menu. I start to get picky when my entree goes above a certain range because at certain price point dining becomes competitive and when you cross that line you need to impress the customer with quality and skills. I like this place and my server was good and the staff were friendly. I think they have some of the right pieces in place and with some polishing could be at higher level. Just left this place after lunch. We sat outside and our waitress was very attentive. It was crowded inside and hard to find parking but that was expected since it was lunch time. We ordered the chicken cheesesteak and the french dip. The chicken was so tender and the entire sub along with the coleslaw was absolutely delicious. It wasn't greasy at all. The french dip was perfectly cooked and the shoestring fries were great, as well. We will keep coming back not just to eat but also buy meat/seafood from. read more

It really depends on which "Jimmy P's" we are talking about when it comes to this review. I would recommend this place for lunch any day of the week, although the parking can be problematic and you probably won't get out of there within 30 minutes so plan for at least an hour. That being said, they have a wonderful lunch menu, and their burgers and other meat dishes really melt in your mouth- I would recommend the Wagyu beef burger if on the menu. Now, with that being said, dinner is a completely different animal (no pun intended). I did not expect the prices to be so steep. Whereas the average meal at lunch may cost you $8-$12, at dinner you are looking at somewhere between $40-$90, and that's not including drinks. Sometimes, it may even be substantially similar to a meal you could order at lunch for a 1/4 of the price. It's a very great restaurant and the meals are cooked very well, but I'm still not sure what they offer justifies an $80 plate price. Dinner was a little too expensive for what was offered, but I would recommend this place to anyone for lunch if they have an hour to spare. read more

In the sad days of menu items inspired by chefs too impressed with themselves, this chef was spectacular. Lobster risotto under halibut. This has become our favorite restaurant in Naples. We love chops but we are sad to say we don't need to go there anymore. The service at Charred is great, the food is exceptional and we are always treated right. There are more steak options here than any other steakhouse in town. My fear is that they will continue to grow out of their space and end up joining the fifth avenue crowd;they will make more money but they will lose the ambiance they have created with the butcher shop connected to the restaurant and the trendy warm atmosphere of the restaurant. Heard so many good things about this restaurant. Was so looking forward to having a great steak. Loved the ambience of this place even though it's located in a little strip plaza. Service was good, however the steak not so much. I ordered the New York strip medium, but it came out closer to medium well. My wife ordered a filet medium and it came out well done. The server agreed and put in another order for the filet. We waited another 15 minutes and the second filet came out well done again. They said somebody new was working the broiler. Oh my god! Go with an empty stomach. We didn't eat breakfast and went for lunch but I wish I could have managed to eat more of this unbelievable food. The setting is warm and cozy and the service is just as warm and friendly. Good southern food with 5 star taste and service. The teriyaki wings, Reuben sandwich and beef brisket are the best barbecue we've had! I quickly changed my mind when I saw that they had a half or full rack of ribs available for lunch, so I chose on the half rack with shoestring french fries and Asian slaw. I am so happy that I did because they were so tender and fell off the bone and had an awesome flavor! The atmosphere and the food were delicious. The service was excellent and every plate that came was better than the next. The octopus was phenomenal and the burrata prosciutto with pesto and tomato was to die for along with the wagyu ribeye which was by far my favorite thing on the menu. We also had the wagyu filet mignon and the burger which was good. They are offering a nice summer special which allows 3 courses at a great price I would advise to do it. Very good. Two of us had the skewer special with shrimp and chunks of beef. Very good. My husband enjoyed the rib eye dinner.

Came here for lunch and wasn't disappointed with the food that's for sure. Food was 5 service 3 so I gave them a 4. We ordered a few appetizers cups of chili barbecued ribs and Buffalo chicken wings all appetizers were great. One of us got the Cuban sandwich he was very satisfied and myself and another friend got burgers all of the burgers are made with Wagyu beef I got the jalapeños and jack burger friend got Jimmy P's barbecued burger. All burgers and sandwiches come with a variety of options but we all got fries. The burger I had was cooked perfectly and the cheese mixed perfectly meat was so tender and juicy. We had originally had reservations here for dinner a few nights prior but had to change as they were too late and we were starving but will definitely come in for dinner. Needless to say we were stuffed after eating here. The only drawback was the service not sure if guy was new or maybe it was shift change I don't know but service was subpar and we were waiting for what seemed like forever to get our check so we could take off but with that said definitely will go back read more

Best place in Naples to get the cut of meat you want! Great low key spot that obviously won't stay that way forever! Outstanding service and meal! They aim to please! I had a great 14oz Wagyu Strip with an Au Pouvre sauce on it which melted in my mouth! On this night my Mom had the Ribeye Cap Cut cooked perfectly medium rare she enjoyed it really well! Don't get the fascination? Ok so it's in a strip mall. The best Italian restaurant (Amore) is in a strip mall. So I wasn't hesitant. All the reviews named this place the best in Naples. Yikes! "Charred" is literal. My Cowboy bone in Ribeye was awful. Tasted burnt every bite. The closer I got to the bone it was so raw I couldn't eat it. Tons of fat. I know ribeyes can be fatty but Wow. All said and done I probably ate about 50% of the steak due to fat and rawness. Maybe they're known for the $100 Waygu? No thanks. Same prices as the big name Steakhouses but not even close! He was attentive and knowledgeable. The kind of server that we'll ask for the next time we visit. We had pork belly appetizer that was the best I ever had. Prime steak cooked to perfection. We were there on a Friday night several weeks ago. Our filet mignons were both overcooked and so oversalted. Mine wasn't too bad because I think I got my boyfriend's rare one which was almost medium and I ordered med rare. We shared mine and brought his med well steak home to rinse off and give to the dog. We didn't care for the red wine we ordered but it was a blend and I thought "should've stick with a Cabernet" We took the wine home and the next day decided it definitely had a bad taste. On a previous visit we did send back wine and someone in the back agreed it was bad. It was replaced with new bottle and was fine. So what is up with the wine? The rolls were dried out like they were reheated quite a few times. That didn't matter but just another instance of the off night they were having. read more
