This place has GOT to be paying for their good reviews! We stayed at Silver Cloud Inn and ordered room service from Jimmy's- we got crab Mac and cheese, fries, wedge salad, cheesecake, and strawberry lemonade. The crab macaroni and cheese was super bland, no flavor whatsoever, just not good. The fries were ok, would've been better without all the herbs and dry Parmesan cheese all over them. The lettuce on the wedge salad was extremely bitter, and the sun-dried tomatoes on top were spicy. I didn't try the cheesecake, my husband said it was just "ok". I'm not sure how you can mess up strawberry lemonade but it was so bad my husband couldn't even drink it, I tasted it and it wasn't sweet and it was very watery. All that cost us $95 plus a tip. Since the hotel doesn't offer breakfast we ordered room service again for breakfast even though we were hesitant we thought breakfast would be easier to mess up. I shared the pancakes and sausage with my son, the pancakes had a sour taste and the sausage just wasn't great. I took a drink of water and it was terrible, HOW DO YOU MESS UP WATER?! The water tasted like sparkling water that had been left out all night and then poured over ice. (The water we got with our room service the night before was great!) Breakfast cost us another $65 plus a tip. I honestly wouldn't stay at this hotel again simply because of the food, it was that bad. I came in yesterday, order food to go, chatted with a very nice waiter while the food was being prepared, he handed me my bag of food (silly me, I should of checked, half of my order was left out.). Very disappointed, discovered this half way home. I do not recommend this place!! I used to come here all the time before COVID, won't do it again. They lost all the good staff. Stayed in the Silver Cloud and came here for some dinner after landing in Seattle. There's nothing much I can say other than it's a good restaurant inside of a hotel. The interior is quite nice and the servers were friendly, although the restaurant was kind of empty at around 8-ish. I got the lemon roasted chicken, which was really good. My mom got the reuben, also very good according to her. I do have to bump down a star because the fish isn't fresh. I was going to order the fish and chips originally, however I changed my mind after my server told me it was frozen, which is honestly baffling considering this is Seattle and Pike Place Market isn't that far away. Why are A/C units in Seattle (seemingly) set at freezing temps, when it's overcast and chilly outside? Thank goodness I was able to sit next to their glass-pebble-filled gas fireplace, so at least one side of my body is warm... Wings were yummy - and so was the Caesar - although I did miss the Anchovies... Wonder why there's such a phobia about this delicious salty classic add-on to Caesar - to the point that most restaurants don't even have them in the kitchen for those who ask? Tsk tsk... I tried make a reservation on Jimmy's on First, but they wasn't taking reservations because were game day. Because I really want eat the chicken Picatta, so I decided have lunch with my cousin at Jimmy's on Broadway, I asked the if they have chicken picatta, one lady there who spoke with me and told me they don't have it, but they have the lemon chicken. If you've ever been disappointed by servers, bartenders etc. come here. They will turn your views around and give you hope in the possibility of restaurant staff who rocks. I was amazed with the service. The food was good (I'll get to that) but honestly, we felt so welcome and so valued as patrons of this establishment we stayed longer than expected. The food was DELICIOUS! B ordered tacos and nachos, I ordered soup and bread. I was supposed to sip on my soup to soothe my throat but ended up gorging on B's nachos hehe (sorry not sorry). If they had a fault it'd be that they are all looking to assist you. We were constantly checked on and not in a buggy way but in a "we really want your visit to be spectacular" way. Our bartender / server went the extra mile when he offered B a spoonful of peanut butter to help him get rid of his hiccups. He has a tendency of getting random hiccups and they are the loudest hiccups EVER so much so he usually sits away while he tries to get rid of them. I would give 3 1/2 stars if I could, but I can't quite do 4. Jimmy's was decent but pretty underwhelming overall. Not great, not terrible either. We mostly tried it because reviews were decent, and convenient because we were staying at the adjoined Silver Cloud Hotel. Brother ordered a burger and it was somewhere between ok and good, husband got buffalo chicken sliders and those were fairly good. I wasn't too hungry so ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup and it was good. Atmosphere is really nice. However. The fries we ordered for the table were terrible and I didn't even have to taste them first to know it. They were extremely pale, almost white, and floppy-looking with some weird clumps of half melted cheese on top. Tried a few anyways and my suspicions were confirmed. Soggy and gross. White cosmo was good, but the blackberry limeade cocktail was so overly sweet that it was almost undrinkable. Overall meh. An easy stop for a couple drinks if you're staying next door but otherwise I wouldn't make it a destination. read more

I wasn't quite sure what to expect, since it's a restaurant/bar in an average-end hotel. My friend had come here recently and really liked the bartender and her drink, so we met here for her birthday dinner. Our waitress was VERY friendly and great, except for one long period of about 10-15 minutes where she completely disappeared. Maybe she was on break, but you should set up some coverage if so. I got the specialty lemon drop, which was fantastic, and half a curried chicken sandwich with a side salad. The salad was nothing interesting and the sandwich was pretty good, if a little messy. It was a very large half and I'd be worried about trying to finish a full sandwich. We shared a creme brulee (compliments of our waitress for the birthday girl) which was light but filling. Overall, the food was decent and I'd come back for that lemon drop alone. The prices are about what you'd expect for a hotel restaurant on the Hill. read more

I come to Jimmy's every time I stop by Seattle. My cousin used to live in Xavier Hall and it's in walking distance to his dorm but that's not the only reason why I stop by Jimmy's. Their Happy Hour food and prices = AWESOME! For a 4-5 star looking place, their drinks are so good and not at all watered down for $5 and domestic beers (which is what we usually order) is 16 oz for $3.50. I ate here twice during a visit to Seattle while I was staying at the Silver Cloud Broadway, which adjoins it, once for a late lunch and once for dinner. Both times I was impressed with the service. Servers were focused and attentive, pleasant and good communicators. The food was a mixed bag. For the late lunch I had a steak salad, and while the salad itself was great, the steak on top of it was pretty awful: gristly, tough, and chewy. I had ordered "medium rare" and this was at best medium. For dinner the next night, I had salmon with a honey-peppecorn glaze and that was superb. The salmon was perfectly cooked, wonderfully seasoned, and the accompanying vegges were delicious. Service was still quite good. The place is quiet and well-lit, very nice for someone eating alone who wants to be able to read. Prices were quite reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again, but I"ll avoid the steak from now on. read more

I finally went here for the first time the other night to just sit at the bar and have a drink with my husband. We have passed it a lot because we live really close but had never stopped by. I am glad we finally did because this place was great. They have a huge draft beer selection including some seasonal pumpking brews which was great, we ordered their cheesecake to enjoy a little dessert and while it wasn't the best I have ever had it was definitely really good. They have tv's around the bar but they aren't annoyingly loud and our waitress was great and really friendly. She even offered us a sample of beer without us even asking. Was not expecting much from a resto connected to a hotel but was pleasantly surprised after an impromptu dinner date here. The place is comfortable and cozy - not too posh, and not too casual (there were flat screens everywhere & even a fireplace). They have 2 "happy hour" times with pretty good deals on food & drinks. I liked the fact that they had creative cocktails, not just your average cosmo or sex on the beach. As for the food, it wasn't ground breaking creative, but was still tasty and seasoned. I had my wedding rehearsal dinner at Jimmy's since it was close to the Seattle U chapel, where I had my wedding ceremony. They were very accommodating and easy to book. The restaurant was nice and had a more closed off area for us to sit at without having to book an overpriced room. Food was delicious and the waiters were very attentive to our needs. On my last night in Seattle, I came back from a great night out and sought a good cocktail. The bartender/mixologist recommended the White Cosmo ($8), a special martini made with Stoli Cranberi Vodka, triple sec, white cranberry juice, and muddled limes, topped with three whole cranberries. I rarely drink alcohol, but I figured "why not?" for the experience. The White Cosmo was refreshing, and I feared that the combination of tangy/sour ingredients (cranberry juice, limes, cranberry vodka, etc.) would make the drink too sour for me. Instead, a surprising balance of sour and sweet hit the taste buds. I also enjoyed the light pulpy texture from the muddled limes. I'm not too high on the pricey nature of these cocktails ($8, really?), which is why I basically shun alcohol 99% of the time. While I was scheduled to leave Seattle the next day, I had one more breakfast at Jimmy's. I went with the Egg White Frittata ($11): fresh-cut mushrooms, asparagus, onions, vine-ripe tomatoes, whisked egg whites, and cheese, served with fresh fruit. I also ordered a blueberry muffin to go ($5.50) A lovely presentation here. The frittata was cooked beautifully; the vegetables appeared to peer out from the blanket of cheese, creating a circular colorful masterpiece. The chef sliced the fresh fruit with a special knife (or other cutting tool) to create zigzag cuts -- either that, or that's one extremely talented chef wielding a knife. I also received a good blueberry muffin. It retained good moisture, with what I felt was the proper ratio of blueberries throughout. Virtually all their menu items are well on the pricey side, and that would preclude me from coming back as often as I would (as compared to other great places I've eaten at). But especially if you're on a business trip and wish to stay close to downtown Seattle, look no further than the Silver Cloud Inn hotel and its adjacent restaurant, Jimmy's! read more

QUALITY TRUMPED BY ATMOSHPERE. The staff was friendly enough, but busy for Sunday breakfast. There was a breakfast banquet going on in another room, so the service was slow. PARKING: I didn't see anything but street parking around, but I could be wrong. It wasn't an issue on Sunday morning. SEATING: My bud & I got seated right away, so that wasn't an issue. FOOD QUALITY: I got the Corned Beef Hash with Eggs & Toast. It was very dry and I couldn't finish it. (I think it sat under the heating lamp too long; but, I couldn't see how it could be repaired.) COST: For the quality, the breakfast was spendy at $20 for the food with coffee and juice. ATMOSPHERE: It looked like it was set up as an upscale sports-bar, with a small fireplace. It looked like it had been recently renovated. It's nice, clean and presentable. RETURN?: I think not. read more

I am a huge corned beef hash fan, and Jimmy's on Broadway has hands down the best corned beef hash. The corned beef is fresh and in whole chuncks, unlike most corned beef hash which uses canned corned beef. The server in the morning told me that I should order it with grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms. What a wining dish. I had a bacon martini with my hash and I thought it was better than I was expecting. The bacon martini tasted like a spruced up bloody mary. I will be back for sure and will be ordering the hash again. read more

Your typical hotel diner. Came here to have breakfast with one of our friends who was staying here. It is cleaner than most hotel restaurants. Prices are $10 and up. Had a breakfast wrap for $10 and a Lavender Mimosa for $8. Both hit the spot. But nothing I would travel two states for. read more

Indifferently prepared food. I have eaten at Jimmy's on and off since 2006 as both of my children attended Seattle U, right next door. It was closed for renovations the second to last last time I was here, so I looked forward to enjoying a nice meal as it was reopened on my current visit. Both my son and I were disappointed. I ordered a grilled salmon Caesar salad. The salad and dressing were mediocre - very little flavor (hard to screw that up with Caesar dressing, but they did), and very little of it. Any bagged caesar salad in a grocery store would have been tastier and more generous. The reason I ordered it with salmon is because I've had a lot of delicious salmon in Seattle. Not so here. It was sautéed without any seasoning, and as the Caesar salad itself had minimal dressing, there wasn't much flavor to my meal. My son had a burger than was okay except for the weird amount of sauce on it. It had so much that the bottom of the bun soaked through and leaked. We both left about half of our meals. (Another reason for a low rating: we called earlier about parking at the hotel if we were dining in, and were told that we could park at the hotel. When we came, there was a big sign out in front that advertised free parking when eating there. The car ahead of us, though, was backing out of the circular driveway. We pulled in after they left. There were two cars blocking the entrance to the parking garage and no attendants. We waited for a little while, and then I went in, but was told there was no parking available. So we had to back out and look for parking. As we went around the block a couple of times, we saw a third car also backing out of the driveway! The Silver Cloud needs to get its act together and stop trying to lure in customers with the promise of parking that they then renege on. They need to take down the sign and put a person there to direct customers, especially if the lot is full. To add insult to injury, when we finally got parking and went in, the restaurant was only about a quarter full. Seems like they must have had minimal restaurant parking needs anyway.) I won't be back to eat at Jimmy's again. I am sorry that our memories of past good meals was tainted by the lackluster food and service this time. read more

Yummy!! We stayed at the Silver Cloud a few years ago and were up late working a lot, so room service is a must. Jimmy's did not disappoint. This year, I couldn't get a room and had to stay at an Air B&B, but I jumped at the chance the meet my friend there for breakfast!. I had the Broadway scramble, with goat cheese, onions, kale, and some other yummy goodness. It was just as good as I remembered, and I'm not much of a morning person. Service is on point too! I'm not really that needy but was surrounded by a few needy tables (who asks for one thing and then another when the server comes back??), and the staff handled them with class. This place ain't cheap- $22 for breakfast isn't really a steal, but it was worth it! read more
