Yummy!! We stayed at the Silver Cloud a few years ago and were up late working a lot, so room service is a must. Jimmy's did not disappoint. This year, I couldn't get a room and had to stay at an Air B&B, but I jumped at the chance the meet my friend there for breakfast!. I had the Broadway scramble, with goat cheese, onions, kale, and some other yummy goodness. It was just as good as I remembered, and I'm not much of a morning person. Service is on point too! I'm not really that needy but was surrounded by a few needy tables (who asks for one thing and then another when the server comes back??), and the staff handled them with class. This place ain't cheap- $22 for breakfast isn't really a steal, but it was worth it! read more

Just back from a week in Seattle and a stay at the Silver Cloud. We ate at Jimmy's 3 times. 1) The food is delicious but way too salty, 2) the food is delicious but way overpriced, 3) Saw a waiter with his mask down below his nose and 4) there seems to be a problem with beverages: I ordered a green apple martini and it tasted like turpentine and had no tart green apple flavor at all. Inexperienced bartender perhaps? Ordered a mocha coffee one morning for breakfast and had it delivered to my room. It was clearly 1/2 hot chocolate and the other half milk! WHAT?! And it cost me $12. Ridiculous. Perhaps an inexperienced barista? Or perhaps no barista at all? At this point we just gave up. read more

I think my happy hour experience at Jimmy's yesterday probably was more of a 3 1/2 star affair, but considering that they're so newly open, I'm going to round up. This is a great HH value for First Hillers, with generous plates--many of them shareable--going for as little as $4. Caesar salad wasn't anything special, but did the job. The quesadilla for some reason reminded me of a Taco Time crispy concoction, and while okay while hot, we found it actually tasted better once it cooled off. The side of guac is quite generous. Bruschetta was really not that fantastic...the tomatoes were tasteless and I didn't care for the marinade. Earning top honors in the food category were the amazing French fries, seasoned with rosemary, sage, and roasted garlic. We really should have ordered two cones and skipped the bruschetta. Jimmy's offers a number of specialty cocktails and I went with the Bloody Bacon Martini, which actually is a pretty gruesome title now that I'm thinking about it. I'm all for bacon-themed cocktails, but this was nothing to write home about...pretty much just a Bloody Mary in a martini glass, garnished with a squiggle of bacon and a (again, tasteless) cherry tomato. Who's Jimmy getting his tomatoes from?! Our server was a doll, very pleasant and checked back at reasonable intervals. Whereas it was warm outside, the air conditioner in the restaurant was cranked up to bone-chilling level...not really necessary unless there's a heat wave on. All in all, though, this was a good happy hour and I'm certainly planning to return. read more

Jimmy's has great breakfast! Though their menu is tiny, there are some really great items. I had their special for the day and it was an omelette with swiss, mushrooms, and onions, which was what I wanted. I had ham added to it which made the dish 10x better! I forgot what my boyfriend got but his dish was also really good too! The portions are huge and I like their potatoes. It's crispy outside and soft inside, yum! The prices are fairly cheap too! I was surprised. I will most def come back to Jimmy's again! Maybe next time I'll come for lunch or dinner. read more

I stay at the Silvercloud a few times a year and so I find myself at Jimmy's when I'm in town. The food is consistently good and the service is always pleasant. On this trip I have some picky dietary restrictions and they were great on answering my questions and modifying my order to stay within what I could eat. On the happy hour menu, the nachos and flat breads are always a solid choice and value. Breakfast and brunch options are good with a variety of healthy and decadent choices to choose from. On this trip I got the seasonal Benedict, which came with brisket. The brisket was tender and good flavor, egg poached perfectly and the breakfast potatoes had a nice crunchy outside. When I do dessert, I aways get the blackberry pie, which never fails to disappoint! They also have some interesting nonalchoholic choices for beverages. The housemade sodas and syrups are excellent and definitely worth a try! read more

I've been here many many times over the last few years and every time I've brought friends over, it's become their personal favorite too! Portions are nice and large; food is fresh and local. Loved this place! Went there for Thanksgiving and the staff was awesome. Ross at the front podium sat us at his favorite table near the fireplace. He even came and checked in with us while we were eating! Chelsea was our server and she was great. She let us sample a beer we were interested in before investing. She also was very attentive and kind. The food was also excellent! We both got the turkey dinner and ate every bite - even the things we usually skip come turkey day. There was enough food that we got the thanksgiving food feeling. The desserts were also to die for. Atmosphere was calm and relaxing. It was a great place for Thanksgiving! read more

The food here is good. I think the menu selections are creative and prepared well. I plan on going back. This is an improvement on the last eatery in the spot. Nice to have the change. I am only giving 3 stars because I am something of a misanthrope. I can't help this. I know there are lots of pathologically kind and optimistic people in the world, but my existential outlook creates a Sartrian nausea when they come in close contact with me. I prefer the anonymity of Japan where you stay out of people spaces and pretend that they are not there, sometimes, even when you are talking to them! OK, here is what I am complaining about. When I asked about drinks, the waitress told me they were listed on the last page and then reached over me and began to happily massage my menu page in an up-and-down motion, thus showing me where the drinks were listed. My daughter says I am must mentally ill. I think this is too much kindness and is a bit familiar. To the food: the penne with bolognaise sauce tasted good. It was a bit too creamy and did not come on penne, but on narrow strips of lasagna pasta that were two to three and a half feet long. The food was WAY too hot. The garlic bread consisted of two very small pieces, something small enough to be dropped by a bird. When I ordered more, it did not arrive until I was done, at which point the waitress asked me if it was too late. I told her it was, but she still charged me for the second order of microscopic garlic sauce. read more

I love these people. Both Jimmy's and the Silver cloud. Here's an example from yesterday. I often meet three good friends there for lunch. Yesterday I had to go to Swedish for knee injections right after lunch. But I was so anxious I had two glasses of wine. I asked our wonderful server if I could leave my car in their garage so I wasn't driving soon after the wine. He and the hotel front desk were so sweet. The front desk even offered to have their shuttle can pick me up if I needed it after my Swedish appt. And BTW, of course the food and service is ALWAYS good. That's why we always meet there! Pretty standard looking place. Decent...if not slightly upscale "family dining" type of menu, like I would associate with a hotel bar. They've got burgers, they've got pasta, they've got martini specials. Little more seafood than normal, because, hey - it's Seattle. I had a simple burger with avocado, cheese, and bacon. It came cooked the way I asked, which is nice, and not always guaranteed. The meat was pretty tasty, and it was certainly juicy enough. Bacon was crispy, and the bun was a nice sesame poppy seed roll. It had some pickled red onions as well, which I moved aside, and here's the weird part - about a quarter head of lettuce in a wedge. At about 9 inches high, there's no way you could have bitten in to it. Even after I removed most of the lettuce and pared it down to just a few leaves, it was a mouthful. My side was fries, which were fine. Very lightly seasoned. Service was good - the place was empty, so I definitely didn't wait long for my food. And the price is reasonable, since I would expect hotel restaurants to pull a little high way robbery. Given the other so far good to excellent food in the area, they may not be able to inflate their prices too far. I'll probably come back - after all, it's certainly convenient. read more

Went on Christmas Day knowing tht there would be a wait considering tht it was Christmas Day and not that many places are open. We were told the wait would be about 30 mins. At the time my bf and I weren't in any rush, so we agreed to wait. After more than 30 mins of waiting we were finally escorted to our seats. Once we were given out water my bf and I were ready to order. We placers our orders and the waiter then told us tht the kitchen is backed up as well and it'll take about 35-45 mins for the food to be rdy. Like srsly? If I would've known tht the kitchen was backed up as well, then I would've never stayed tht more than 30 mins just to be seated. Biggest waste of time ever. I was in Seattle caring for a loved one and choose the Silver Cloud hotel with its proximity to haborview hospital. Attached to the hotel was Jimmy's on Broadway which was super convenient with the long hours spent bedside. I ate many meals at Jimmy's which were quite expensive for the amount of food I received but was willing to spend extra for the convenience. Unfortunately on my second to last visit to Jimmy's for dinner which was my first meal of the day that particular day, my waiter thought my tip was not enough and altered my receipt. Luckily I caught it on my credit card statement reconciliation and contacted management. They refunded my money which the waiter had changed and did nothing else to right the wrong. It seemed to me that it was no big deal in their eyes. To me it was a huge deal. I wasn't expecting a free meal but something a little more than the sorry for the misunderstanding from management email I recieved. 2 nights prior I had spent over 500 dollars on meals for my loved ones coworkers and paid the 18% mandatory gratuity no problem. Consumers beware and check your receipts. read more

The thing I liked best about Jimmy's was that they had Redhook Mudslinger on tap. Our waitress was nice, although she did disappear for awhile, and nobody seemed to be covering for her. Unfortunately, the food wasn't great, and we'd had few options to choose from. We stopped in after midday, but they don't start serving lunch until 1PM on Sundays You can order burgers, a club sandwich, and (I think) a salad, but the rest of the lunch menu was off-limits. We'd eaten breakfast at a normal time, like, hours earlier, and didn't want another one. But I have to say, their regular and sweet potato fries were excellent. And having an actual pepper grinder at the table was a very nice touch. But great fries and my favorite seasonal beer aren't enough to make up for the sparse menu, nor the mediocre food. Both the beer and the entrees were pretty expensive for what we got. I won't go rushing back, but it wasn't the worst lunch I've ever had. read more

You have to try Jimmy ' s fries! They are delicious and we'll seasoned. If you want to satisfy your sweet tooth, I would recommend the baked chocolate chip cookie. It's gooey, sizzling hot, and comes with a scope of vanilla ice cream and some strawberries. The caramel drizzle sets it over the top. The service was not too impressive for a Sunday however it was during a World Cup USA game. read more

We stayed at the hotel so we thought we'd try the restaurant. Fabulous! The atmosphere is great and service was excellent. We had the same waitress for dinner and breakfast. The 8oz filet is so good with the balsamic shallot butter. The vegetables were cooked just right and the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious! I would definitely recommend this place. I came here for happy hour with a large group, and I was pleasantly surprised. Jimmy's exceeded my expectations for hotel bars/restaurants. The happy hour menu is great. A healthy selection of drinks are to be had for $6-$8 including sangria, wine, beer, wells, white cosmo, and the drink of the day. As for food, I suggest getting lots of things for sharing, especially the garlic parmesan fries (FRIED GARLIC HEAVEN), huge crunchy onion rings, loaded nachos, and arugula + bacon flatbread. Stayed at the Silver Cloud hotel and had dinner at Jimmy's one night. I ordered the grilled salmon. Not bad at all, they put together a decent meal. The veggie was baby broccoli grilled, very fresh. Wild rice was cooked nicely and seasoned mildly. The salmon was excellent, I was surprised at the quality for a hotel restaurant. Not impressed at all!!! Got the mahi tacos, they screwed them up!! When we asked them to fix it, the bartender was rather snobby. The meal we received was not good at all!! The mahi was very fishy. The service from the bartender absoluty sucked. It was lunch time and very slow. Stopped in here after a colonoscopy at The Polyclinic across the street and down a bit (and I was HUNGRY after a day of fasting). Had low expectations for a hotel restaurant, but damn ... this place was good. I had an egg white frittata and a side of bacon (to balance out the healthy food I was ingesting).
