Solid breakfast spot! Servers were friendly, food was tasty, and hard to beat a $5 mimosa and free parking! The only things to nitpick- coffee was just okay (standard for Seattle is high) and service could at times be slow but that's understandable given it's a pretty lean crew. All-in-all a hidden gem brunch option in Capitol Hill! We will be coming back.

3 cheese grilled cheese and tomato bisque

This was a last ditch effort to find family friendly food in a pinch. They're located inside of the Silver Cloud Hotel. Their lunch menu is very limited and the food was just ok. The mimosas were strong and were only $5. We had the smash burger and it was a pretty good size but the amount of lettuce on it was ridiculous. The grilled cheese was pretty good and so was the tomato bisque.

We came in for their $5 Bloody Mary (Saturday & Sunday until 11am) and discovered why they're so cheap. The limes were moldy/rotting. The food was good, but the service was impersonal. We weren't offered water and didn't get any when we asked for it.

Sooooo. DELICUOUS. I had been craving Jimmy's food for so long we had to make a post doc visit stop. We got the gem Caesar salads. Mine on the right is the STARTER size; great portion, sundered tomato, pulsed toasty breadcrumb topping, bold caeser dressing, u swapped out my shaved parm for blue cheese crumbles (nice creamy spin) and the entre er split the blackberry grilled cheese. Gorgeous blend of sweet and savory and the tarter sauce is what a true seattle tartar is all about. Dill forward and FULL of zesty diced pickle.

Jimmy's is a hiding gem on the border of downtown. Their signature cocktail are always yummy and their menu is fantastic. They recently got a new head chef and changed their menu and have added some nice items. My ribeye steak last night was amazing with the homemade chimichurri sauce set the steak off. No need for A1 at all. We had our crispy coconut shrimp for an appetizer and the 5 jumbo shrimp were huge. Lastly for dessert with had NY Cheesecake with berries! What more can I say. Get you at seat right next to the kitchen at their high table and get great service! You'll love this spot!

The house red wine and Painkiller cocktail!

I love this place. This is the bar/restaurant in our fave hotel. The staff is amazing and hilarious. I could have died laughing tonight. I wish I got their names but anyway...they are the real deal and why we keep coming back. We had the house red wine and also the painkiller. The painkiller was awesome! We also had their wings with the Korean spicy sauce. Freakin delicious. I recommend them all the way.

Crispy Bao is all you need. Ours was cut to share for 4.

This is what you're going to do. You will go for drinks and Crispy Bao, 1.5 orders per person plus one for the table. You will order the Seaplane and then think WTF, Joy, this smells like feet, but after 3 sips you will embrace the bitterness against the delicious tangy, salty Bao and then you will thank me for leaving this review. (The rest of the menu was pretty standard fare, nothing special, but I'd go back and give my left arm for those Bao.)

Jimmy's has easily become one of my go to breakfast take outs during COVID, with their corned beef hash and a sunny side up egg as my favorite. I'm not usually a fan of thyme, and never thought to throw it into a corned beef hash, but somehow Jimmy's found a way to make it delicious and make me think "okay, that makes sense!". When you first open the to go container, it may appear the portion is tiny, but the portions are great and enough to save for a 2nd meal. I've found some restaurants will try to cut corners, and utilize more potatoes than corned beef, thankfully Jimmy's gives a fair split between the two. I've also had their brioche French toast, and it is thick (but in the best way). It comes with 3 pieces, but given the thickness it's almost like they gave you 4. So far given what I've tried, I'm looking forward to trying their other options. On the off chance they're taking suggestions, I'd be a fan of being able to order a single and/or double piece of their French toast as an add-on.

It's nice to watch the staff cook because it tells you that the food is fresh. I have high expectations for seafood in Seattle. However, I was disappointed with the scallops as it tasted raw and cool to the touch in the center. I'm not a scallop expert but this one missed the mark - the flavors were off with the sauce (tasted earthy). Presentation and color looked good, but this didn't taste good. Every custom flight is tailored to your specific taste and price point which I love. Hannah, one of their whiskey curators, is super knowledgeable and created one of the most memorable bourbon flights I've ever had with super rare allocated stuff. The service here is extremely friendly. I was speaking with Hannah about what I wanted in my flight and shared my wish list. Based on that, she chose 4 esoteric bottles that each had their own characteristics that would be interesting to compare against one another. My flight consisted of the Pappy Van Winkle 23 years, Colonel EH Taylor Distiller's Council, Very Olde St. Nick Superfreak, and Wild Turkey Austin Nichols 16 years. It was super nice trying all of these rare bottles that I wouldn't even be able to find, and they were all interesting and delicious! The food here is also fantastic. We came during happy hour since the food is a lot cheaper. My favorite things were the Dry Aged Steak Frites and the Crispy Pork Belly. The steak was cooked perfectly and extremely tender with a great beefy flavor. I love a good french fry and these were fresh and crispy. The pork belly was tender and fatty but the fat was nicely rendered so it wasn't chewy. I love the Asian inspired flavors and the kimchi slaw provided the perfect acidity and freshness to complement the fatty pork belly.

Our server was friendly, answered all of our questions about the menu, and gave some great recommendations, which made choosing what to order much easier. I ended up getting the Dry Aged Steak Frites from the Happy Hour menu and OMG!! The steak, cooked medium, was incredibly juicy and tender!! I was so sad when I got down to the last bite lol As for the Russet French Fries, they were perfectly seasoned and just the right size. I especially enjoyed dipping them into the Fermented Chili Aioli. To which I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't actually spicy, given that I do have a pretty low spice tolerance lol. Overall, I'd definitely come back again! :)

You wouldn't expect walking in that the alley and street would lead you to such a top spot. The ambience and atmosphere inside the restaurant is electric. Ironically to the name you won't find any Pink Doors here - rather there is hardly anything pink. Speaking of food - I loved Italian Soda. One of the better sodas. Their almond flavour is particularly amazing. I also tried Vanilla - safe and refreshing. The Pink Door lasagna is one of best vegetarian lasagna I have tried. The layers are smooth and dissolve in your mouth. The pesto sauce adds additional kick. For some people the tomato paste on top might interfere with cheesy flavour but others might absolutely enjoy it. On the other hand Bruschetta was average. Didn't expected much so wasn't disappointed. Tomato was a good grade but then same bread and olive oil with some basic. I felt there was too much of olive oil. Won't order again. They mention seasoning - not sure where that went. To end we had Tiramisu. It was great but I have had better. The outer was bit dry but the interior portion of Tiramisu was really rich. I wonder if it was by design but I like Tiramisu to be more spongy and moist throughout. What I really liked was it wasn't too sweet. Always appreciate that. Overall amazing experience and I will come back to try more options.

We booked a table in advance to catch an early bite, but the Happy Hour menu looked so good that we decided to sit at the bar instead. We ordered the Tuna Tartare, Clams, Pork Ribs, Grilled Eggplant, and Fennel Pickles from the Happy Hour menu, plus the Roasted Olives with extra Sourdough Bread from the main menu. Honestly, every single dish was delicious. The absolute highlights for me were the olives, tuna, pickles, and the sourdough! Here's a quick breakdown of what we had: Sourdough & Herb Butter: Absolute perfection. Crisp on the outside, chewy and moist on the inside. The herb butter was heavenly! Roasted Olives: The ultimate cocktail pairing. Tuna Tartare: The addition of cucumber made it taste so fresh and vibrant. Fennel Pickles: So addicting--I'm still thinking about them! Pork Ribs: Loved the Gochujang (Korean chili paste) sauce, which felt familiar and comforting. The flavor was great, though it had a slight pork aroma that might appeal more to those who enjoy a richer meat flavor. The cocktails were fantastic across the board. Now I completely understand why this place was constantly packed--unbeatable prices, top-tier food quality, and excellent service. Finding great food always sets the mood for a perfect day, and this place definitely made my day!
