Calzone

Had the NEW to the menu Calzone and it was crunchy on the outside with 2 cheeses beautifully melted inside, absolutely delicious. Jimmys Pizza is now OPEN again and just a few doors north from his original location. This new place is clean, intimate and more like a restaurant than a pizza joint. The pizza is amazing as always and Jimmy and Olga are wonderful and serve delicious thin crust cheese pan pizza unlike ANY pizza you have ever had. I order a small pie, extra sauce, well done and it is simply amazing. Let it cool before eating and you will never have pizza anywhere else. Ever wonder where the guys who make pizza at the most of the famous pizza places eat pizza? They eat at Jimmy's In Mamaroneck NY. All the finest ingredients, home made meatballs with pizza cooked exactly like you want it, with a firm crust and no grease. Just simply the best pizza in NY! Jimmys

The menu board looks both vintage and promising...

Order a fresh one, you can probably eat a small pie on your own (kind of a personal size pie) and it's less than $10.

This restaurant is conveniently located right across the street from the Mamaroneck Metro North…read moretrain station. The decor is tasteful and elegant. They have several tables in the front and additional seating in the back. Our waiter was very kind and accommodating. To drink, I had a mocktail. I was worried it would be too sweet because it included sprite and cranberry juice, but it was actually very pleasant and bursting with flavor. For my main, I had the frittata. It was tasty. Some of the broccoli rabe was a little tough to chew, but not too bad. It was topped with a generous portion of cheese. I loved the tender mushrooms. My husband got the cozze. The portion of mussels was large and he enjoyed the sauce. We also shared the cinnamon french toast, which was delicious. It didn't even need syrup as it was perfectly sweet with the cream and berries on top. Even so, they had several syrups to choose from including amber and maple. Looking forward to coming back to try the dinner menu.

My sister and I ordered food, before anyone else came into the restaurant. My latte came in a soup bowl. I could barely pick it up. We ordered the pancakes and eggs. My entire plate was meat and I had two very small eggs. The bread was very stale and hard. It also took over 45 minutes to come out. Save your money. There are much better restaurants around here.

The dining room was moderately packed, but with a reservation we were seated right away. Street parking can be tight, but there's ample parking in the rear and valet was available that night, which made things easy. The space feels modern and open, with a strong bar program and a solid list of specialty cocktails. My Smoked Old Fashioned arrived releasing a rich, smoky aroma that immediately set the tone. We started with Alessia's Crostone and the Hot Antipasto, a generous spread of shrimp, baked clams, calamari, mussels, and eggplant parm. I ordered the Frutti di Mare, and they did not hold back on the seafood. Clams, mussels, calamari, and shrimp layered over pasta in a bright marinara made for a balanced, satisfying dish. Others had the Shrimp Milanese, crisp and vibrant with arugula and red wine vinaigrette. Portions are ample, service is attentive without rushing you, and the restaurant has a warmth that's hard to fake. When birthdays are celebrated, the sparkler candle and music bring the whole room together. This remains one of our go-to spots.
