this place turned my frown upside down. i had a really bad night before and walking in and smelling the freshly made and prepped ingredients and food told me everything i needed to know about this place. not only was the presentation beautiful, it was just as yummy as it looked. the hollandaise was rich but not overly heavy and blended beautifully with the green onions and bacon chunks. i have never seen hash-browns this crispy before. if you're staying in Coquitlam while vacationing in Vancouver you NEED to try this local gem

Sausage and bacon were perfect. I was not a fan of the hashbrowns at all.. crunchy on the outside and tasted pretty much raw on the inside..just wet mush. You pay (and tip) before your food arrives...which is weird to me. You have to get your own water, too. I doubt I'll be coming back. How can you ask for a tip when you haven't done anything yet?

Secret hidden Korean-run Western diner in the corner of Cariboo Centre (strip mall). Had no idea this place existed until now. Parking is plenty in the strip mall lot. The inside looks nice and dated (1980s?) despite the building clearly looking newer (2000s?). Maybe it's the exterior cladding. Staff are friendly. Looks like a mom and pop. This place serves comfort comfort diner food. I had the Jimmy's Special burger. Patty is nice and tasty. Plenty of fixings. There really is something about food from old school diners. I've also been told about the eggs Benedict here. My buddy had it and it sure looked tasty too. Guess I'll try it next time. Recommended.

Happen to find this little jewel. Not easy to find. Place was full when I arrived. It's fairly small. The food and service was very good!

I loved jimmys! We must have come at the right time because we were quickly sat and we ordered two bennies (black stone and house special) and a BLT on the side (the husband eats a lot). Everything was super amazing, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns were great. The BLT was perfect as well, your simple basic BLT without a side, appropriately priced at $6.75. Definitely be back. I'm not sure what's slated for the strip mall since everything's closing but hopefully it's not going to be torn down.

Delicious, a great edition to pocos food scene! I've been to their location in maple ridge which is equally as good. The dishes were an explosion of flavour with each bite. Service was quick and nice. It's a cozy little spot, def will be back!

Meets all the expectations of a diner - uncomplicated food and simple, friendly, cafeteria-style service.

Easily my favourite comfort diner breakfast! The staff are so nice and you order at the front and then find your table. They have a great menu - I personally love their hashbrowns. You get amazing value and quality and I always leave satisfied.

Unassuming breakfast but executed perfectly. Perfectly cooked *crispy* hash browns and eggs cooked exactly how you ordered it. I got the 2 eggs, 2 sausage, hashbrown and toast and it filled me up. Nothing was overly greasy, it taste like homemade. It's what Denny's and IHOP aspire to be. Support your local business!

Quick diner hole in the corner of the wall lol Pancakes were good & fluffy Basic eggs and sausage. Nothing spectacular Prices are cheap Don't expect any real service, you order before sitting and they drop your food off at your table Would actually be a good place for kids

Hidden gem! This place is awesome. Food was good, eggs and hash browns cooked well to my liking. It was really tasty and super affordable for a meal. Service was good, and got our food pretty quick considering how busy it was. Had a old school diner vibe to it. If I lived closer to this area, I'd definitely come here for a cheap breaky pick me up.

My initial infatuation with Jimmy's has developed into a lasting relationship. I have a thing for corner stores and diners so the outdated (but clean) decor pleases me greatly. It may not be a 'trendy' spot but I see clientele from every walk of life when I eat here. Families, students, professionals on lunch etc. There is always a gentleman manning the grill and three other kind ladies who assist. I am dying to know if the man IS "Jimmy" and am working up my courage to ask. The breakfasts are fabulous. Everything from eggs benny to pancakes are well made and not greasy as with so many other diners. Recently I had chicken salad sandwiches with pea soup that tasted like a comforting meal at a friend's place. The burgers are a treat. I am always surprised by how quickly the food arrives after ordering! I come here to do business, study, finish a half-completed crossword started by another customer, contemplate the family dynamics in cartoons... There is no rush here. Pick a booth, feel free to relax and refill your coffee or water as you wish. One thing of interest: I went into the women's washroom the other day and stopped short. I shook my head and looked again. There was no toilet! It is literally a WASHroom because that is all you can do in it. I used the men's room which thankfully, was clean :)

I saw the rating of this restaurant for having brunch was very high, so I visited the restaurant today. The restaurant looked old without any fancy decorations. I wouldn't mind the decorations or environments as long as the food was good. The restaurant is running by a bunch of Korean people. A few of them cooked or helped out in an open kitchen. One of them washed dishes. One was a cashier. There were many varieties of food for us to choose on the menu. I ordered a dish of black stone benny with bacons, eggs, ham, green onions, and cubes of tomatoes. I was a bit disappointed because the eggs were VERY small!! Comparing to the benedicts I had in Vancouver or Greater Vancouver, I paid a little bit more to get a better quality and quantity! One of the cooks or helpers in the kitchen said she would give me ketchup, but I never got it. I had to steal some ketchup from another table after the customers left. Geez.. My mom ordered a BELT sandwich with soup. The sandwich arrived but we kept waiting for the soup. Then I went to the cashier and asked why the soup took very long. She said we didn't order the soup. I said we were 100% sure we ordered the soup because we read the whole title of the dish out loud when we paid for the meal at the counter. I told the cashier that we thought the soup was like a soup of the day and she never asked what kind of soup we like, so we thought that whatever came with the sandwich, we would take it and try it, because it was our first time to try this restaurant. Then the cashier said we had to tell them what type of soup we would like to order. I said gee... She never told us there were options of the soup on a black chalk board behind us!!! Then my mom picked a mushroom soup (1 of 4 options) and paid a little bit of extra for it. My dad ordered ham, tomatoes and cheese sandwiches with soup. He was smart to ask what kind of soup the restaurant had. However, he ordered after a group of six customers. He waited for sooooo long for the food. I thought this was not acceptable. When I was almost finished my egg benny, he just started his meal!! Overall, the service was bad. The food was the type that I could cook or make at home. I felt thirsty after I had the brunch. The food probably got high sodium or lots of MSG? It was good that it was not too expensive but i would still not mind to pay a bit more to get a better service and good quality. I will not go back to this restaurant as there are so many good ones out there! :)

Egg salad is my favorite but the sandwiches are too small. Everything omelet is also good.

The vibe is fun and stylish a good spot to bring your girlfriend or someone special. The menu has a lot of variety, and the food was well prepared, but personally, I wouldn't come here starving. Portions were decent, just not a place I'd go if I was extremely hungry. Drinks were a highlight and definitely add to the overall experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid brunch spot with good energy. Best enjoyed when you're looking for a relaxed meal, good drinks, and good company rather than a heavy, filling feast.
