Great place. I came in on a Saturday for 4 new tires. I was a half hour late, and they were super busy because the first storm of the winter was coming that day, but they were so totally nice about it, didn't even say anything. They took me right away and then stayed open an extra half hour to finish my tires, and were friendly and awesome about it. Jimmys saved my vaca! I got a big screw in my tire two days before my vacation. I took it to Sullivan tire out of convenience and they told me the tire was unrepairable and because my car was AWD, I needed 4 new tires for $700. They messed up and forgot to pick up the new tires so I said forget it and brought it to jimmys. They fixed it for me for $30 in 45 minutes!!!!! You can imagine my relief not wasting that much money. My wife bought a used tire from them last month and she's been having a slow leak for the last few weeks. I brought her car in to have it checked out today and they ended up finding a nail in the tire. Jimmy (the older gentleman kept me up to date on my tire. READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO ANYWHERE ELSE: I stopped into Sullivan tire a week and a half before hand and I really wish I hadn't. I knew that I had a nail in my tire and was forced to get it patched. I'm not your average joe and I know what nails/objects in your tire are going to require a new tire and which ones aren't. After a 45-60 minute wait my car was finally put on a lift and I was finally informed that my tire was "unrepairable" and that I would HAVE to get a new tire. After some back and forth conversation I was informed by an inadequate excuse that they would have to give me a new tire and I was suckered into buying one for $150 dollars..... I was almost also con"ed into buying brakes and rotors as well because my "brakes were destroying my rotors" I refused that service because the staff wouldn't let me look for myself due to "liability" .... a few days later I happened to acquire a new nail in a different tire on my vehicle I figured I would give the whole in the wall Jimmys off Hancock street a shot. Not only was the staff great and friendly but these two hard working men Jimmy and John went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I had my tire fixed for $30 dollars and was also able to physically see my brake pads and in fact had roughly 20-30% of tread left and they were NOT indeed rubbing on my rotors. If you want the truth and want to support a local business Jimmys tire is the way to go! They will not disappoint. This family owned company gave me great service for a great price. I will never go to any other place again for tires. These guys came in early (6am) so I could swap out my tires before work. I went to Jimmy's after I hit a devilish pothole that flattened two tires and bent both the rims. I had just bought the car and the previous owner did not include the wheel lock key. Not an issue with Jimmy! He sourced the key and let me keep it (for the price of the lock of course). After finding out my rims wouldn't hold air, he sent them to a welder that he knew. I used my car just about six days a week. As an active driver, it's no surprise that I'll eventually run into problems whether a part is worn out or malfunctioned. One of the most common ones is a worn out or damaged tire. One of my tires was starting to wear out and I was thinking of having that changed very soon. It didn't occur to me until a day ago that it was losing air pressure. I pumped it up with a portable air compressor while hoping that'll fix the issue (this was during work). The light on my dashboard did go away for a few minutes. I noticed it came back on and I thought maybe I ran into a nail. The tire was worn out to the point where any thing sharp or even a simple small rock can punctured a hole to it. It was my mistake on holding back on having the tire changed until later. The tire went flat and I had to put on a spare just so I can survive for the rest of the night. Yelp was the first thing on my mind. I knew I had to find a solution quick because I couldn't afford to run with a spare tire. Results popped up and Jimmy's Tire was highly recommended. Like any first timers I was skeptic. I saw many good reviews and decided to go check it out first thing the next morning. I passed by the place so many times and had no idea it was there. I had only wish I knew a long time ago. But anyway, I believe the person I spoke to was Jimmy. I told him what happen and all I needed was to have a tire changed. He told me he didn't have the tire size I was looking for and have to order it to be ready for the next day. Unfortunately I needed it right away and I was just about to go elsewhere. He went into his storage room to look again and viola! he actually found one and it was the last one. Boy was I lucky! He threw a very good price at me and that already includes labor and tire balancing. Then he told me to come back an hour later while I left the dead tire at his place. An hour passed and I came back and it took him less than a minute to change the tire in front of me. I was very satisfied with the quality of service and the pricing. I went to Jimmy's Tire for the first time today, and I had a great experience. I was driving, and someone alerted me to the fact that both tires on one side of my car were almost flat. As a woman, I always feel as if I may get taken advantage of at car shops, and I was worried I would bring my car somewhere and they would tell me I needed two or four new tires - just to make a buck! I brought the car to Jimmy's and they walked me through a process to figure out what is wrong with my tires in a way that makes the most sense and would possibly save me money. These guys are the absolute best. Recently, I had a slow leak and the air valve broke off my rear tire. I was in need of a replacement tire but my budget is tight right now. I found Jimmys Tires through Yelp and decided to give them a try and see what I could find for $60. The younger Jimmy met me outside the shop as soon as I pulled in, I told him my story. He looked at the tire that needed to be replaced and said I wouldn't need to get a new tire, and that he would replace the air valve as long as I could live without the air pressure sensor and fix the slow leak for $30. All he needed for me to do was to leave the tire over night in order to diagnose the problem. Ge told me to call him around 9:00 am the next day. I did it. Called back at 9:15 the next day, and he stated he found the slow leak problem and replaced the air valve for the tire come on over by 10:30 and the tire will be ready. Went to shop at the time requested. The tire was fixed and he mounted it back on my car for free. Most honest hard working guys around for car tires. They have a customer for life. Today was the second time I've been to Jimmy's Tire shop and both times I've left completely satisfied and feeling like I got a very good deal. This last time I had a nail in a tire and took it to the Mazda dealership on southern artery in Quincy since I need some other work under warranty done. They told me the nail was in the "danger zone" of the tire since it was towards the outer edge outside of the middle tread and could not be patched. They gave me a price of $200 for a new tire including mounting. Told them not to touch the tire just do the other work I brought the car in and went to Jimmy's in the meantime. Upon bringing my car in they told me the tire was perfectly fine to be patched and had me in and out very quick. Although the patch job was free my one other experience I have with them they gave me a very good price for a tire.
