My sister and I were on a road trip looking for a stretch break and breakfast. We went out on a limb to try this diner and were pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was very kind and service was fast! We ordered pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns and toast for under 15 dollars! You cannot beat the prices. The plate pictures below was 5.99. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious! My sister said that the pancakes were better than Ihop (and she is serious about her pancakes!). We were a bit apprehensive about it being a "trucker stop" but it is seriously the best breakfast we have had in a while. We're going to need to make this a traditional stop!

The typical trucker stop outside is a little off putting but lemme tell ya- the food and service are FANTASTIC! Our server Sherry was so kind and accommodating & the food comes in these huge portions. I usually eat my whole plate when I go out, and this huge helping had me strugglin' to finish! The only complaint is that the bathroom is gross so I'm taking one star off for cleanliness- but hey, it's a truck stop. Entered hangry & skeptical. Left full and happy. The corned beef hash meal was amazing. The pancakes are the size of your head. Highly recommend this lil hole in the wall if you need a breakfast/brunch win!!

Okay, I know when most people hear Truck Stop restaurant, they think of greasy food, dirty tables, or just a nasty place that only truck drivers stop at just of the interstate. True Jim's is of the thruway, but that's it. The restaurant is decent, they do offer an enclosed room for those who wish to remove days off their life by smoking. They offer a nice salad/soup bar that is always fresh and stocked. The menu prices are a steal for the portions they give on most of the plates. Just look at the 3 egg 3 meat filled omelette! Can you say "Watch out for that flying pants button", from it exploding off your pants as your stomach expands from all the goodness! My wife and I frequent Jim's at least once a month. We love the place and have never really left disappointed or still hungry.

Extremely surprised by this gem. It looks kinda run down and uninviting at first. We were visiting Buffalo and wanted easy breakfast options. Portions were mostly too big for one person. It was cheap, plentiful and delicious. This easily beats some of the more ill-maintained chains I've been to. Would love to go again if I'm ever in the area.

2 eggs, french toast bacon and sausage..under $6

One of the only restaurants in New York left where you can still smoke inside. I'm not quite sure how they get away with it, but they have a special room inside where cigarette after cigarette is lit up and you get waited on as well. As for the service -- it's a divey diner so expect it to be a little gritty, but I haven't had any issues. If you like the grit and the smokey atmosphere then this place is probably right up your alley. As for the food, it's delightful, greasy and cheap. Steak, eggs and home fries -- all under $10. 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage AND french toast -- all for under $6. It's remarkable. The eggs were cooked to order perfectly and the french toast seemed fluffy, picturesque and well done. I didn't get the "real" maple syrup stuff here, but at these prices..what can I really expect? It''s a truck plaza, so expect to see a lot of older drivers and people who already know each other sitting around and smoking. As such, if you come alone -- it may be a little uncomfortable, but don't be afraid to strike up a conversation. I did and learned a thing or two I would have never otherwise known. Not a bad place and if you're looking to have a smoke and enjoy a meal and bring yourself back to the 90s when this sorta thing was legal.

I love a good truck stop diner. And Jim's was a pretty good one! My husband and I have wanted to stop in for some time, and on a whim finally made it in for lunch recently. The main dining room is rustic, with all booths. We were told to sit where we'd like, and our friendly waitress promptly brought menus. The menu is all of the typical diner burgers, sandwiches, comfort-foods and breakfast-all-day options you'd expect. In true truck-stop diner fashion, my husband went with the open-faced meatloaf and fries. I had the mushroom omelet, no cheese, and opted for the pancakes side to pass to my carbo-loading husband. We both added the soup and salad bar side, which is just $4.99 for AYCE. It is a cute little salad bar that is fully satisfying, with all of the fresh basics, plus some extras like garbanzo beans, chopped eggs, and banana peppers. The soup of the day was chicken noodle, which my husband tried. He said it had a tasty classic heartiness. As for our entrees, the hubbs said the gravy was good on his meatloaf, but the loaf itself was a bit dry, and the fries just basic. But he thoroughly enjoyed his multiple trips to the salad bar. My omelet wasn't huge, but was pretty tasty. It didn't seem like fresh cracked eggs, but the eggs were still fluffy layers around fresh mushrooms, still yummy. And my husband did enjoy eating my pancakes, haha. I also liked the salad bar a lot--at $4.99, what a great deal! Our waitress was attentive and kept our coffee and tea hot, and waters refilled. We definitely enjoyed our lunch, and look forward to coming in again to hit up the salad bar and try more of the menu.

Super cheap breakfast place! If you go with little expectations you will pleasantly surprised. The place is nothing fancy but service is great and you can't beat the prices. 2 eggs, sausage and bacon with toast and home fries for under $6! The homefries had really good flavor and it came out really quick.

    Handy!

One ordered pork chops and the other meat loaf, both served with a potato pancake & cabbage. I didn't catch what the actual dish was. I had one goal, a plate of potato pancakes. They were good but not exactly what I expected which was grated potatoes. These seemed.closer to mashed potatoes. Maybe over mixed? Also I received 1 small tube of sour cream, certainly not enough for four potato pancakes since they'd give you the same for one. My friends appeared to enjoy their meals. A bit disappointed but I'll still go back since they're definitely the place to go to get good authentic polish food. Next time it'll be pierogi and kielbasa! 2025-91

It's got a vibrant rustic-can, loud but comfy feel to it. The place looks cool inside and out, you just know this greasy spoon is going to have good food and it doesn't fail to provide it either! You can order anything and leave happy (from the apple pie to the pig, beef and chicken sandwich). They have booth seating, counter seating for one (or two) and offer outdoor seating with a little picnic table, shaded area and they also accept cash/credit. On the menu, there's pig, beef and chicken items, even a fish fry. They're great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with or without friends/family. Known for their BBQ, in a variety of flavors, it's simply finger-licking delicious! I like coming here for breakfast mostly, love me some good home fries and a juicy steak. Portions are large and filling. I've also ordered take-out and picked up my order, the staff is super friendly and there's such an upbeat vibe to the place.

My server was great. She was super attentive and made sure my cup was never out of water. (I usually drink water when dining out) The place is def little so it gets packed quick. A couple booths and a couple tables. Maybe 10 total. Parking can be very tight in front so go to the back or side. I'll be back to try other things.

The atmosphere was very diner like and we enjoyed the good warm coffee while we waited for our delicious meal! So to the food aspect: my partner got the Irish Omelette which had broccoli, corn beef hash, spinach, pepper jack cheese (his choice and we both agree it was a win). The omelette sounded overwhelming to me, but I am thankful my partner ordered it because it was good! He also ordered the English muffin. Which was also AMAZING! Now onto the western omelette, it was also wonderful. Eggs fluffy, a good amount of cheese (I picked cheddar). Everything was perfect. But the star of the show was my side of French toast. They bake the bread there for the French toast. It was cooked to perfection and the perfect amount of sweet. One slice was all I needed (...to break my diet ) but dang was it worth it.

We arrived closer to lunchtime than breakfast, which worked in our favor since there wasn't a wait. We were seated right away, and our server, Angela P., promptly came over for our coffee order. Two coffees later, we were ready to order. My mom, as always, went with her beloved Mushroom Omelet (a bit steep at $15.20 in my opinion), while I ordered a half portion of the Two by Four, which included one egg and two pancakes. It ended up being the perfect amount of food for me. I wasn't thrilled about the $1.60 upcharge for chocolate chips, but the pancakes were fluffy, delicious, and worth the splurge. The restaurant appears to have been remodeled since my last visit and it has a much nicer look and feel than I remembered. My only real complaint is the noise level. Every time I've been here it's been incredibly loud, making conversation a bit difficult and hindering the overall breakfast experience, especially before coffee. Overall, I understand why so many people (including my mom) love this place. The service was friendly, the food was good, and we left satisfied. It's just not my personal favorite breakfast spot in Buffalo, especially considering the prices and noise level. Even so, if you're looking for a reliable breakfast with generous portions, I can see the appeal.
