OMG the service here was so amazing! Everyone was super friendly and we were just...blown away. Even before you enter, there's a really nice sign outside apologizing for a wait, with refreshments and notice that you could wait in your car, etc (we didn't wait so this didn't apply to us, but dayum I've never seen that before!). And throughout our meal, various servers were helping out and were just extremely kind to our family (THANK YOU!). Alright, onto the food. I LOVED my hot stone bibimbap, which stayed hot until I finished eating it, hah! Will definitely be back!

waited a little over an hour for a group of 7 people, the place is a little smaller than I expected which would explain the longer wait for larger groups (we did notice that they were able to take groups of 2 first bc of that) all the dishes we got were fantastic but our group especially loved the naengmyeon (cold noodle dish) and the garlic suyuk! staff was great and friendly and food came out fast!

Found my new late-night food spot in Buena Park, Jin Cook is the kind of place you come to hungry because everything comes in HUGE portions The food was so flavorful, comforting, and seriously satisfying, with generous portions that make it perfect for sharing with friends or saving some for later. Every dish felt like the kind of meal you want after a long day And if you're a student or someone who gets late-night cravings, this is definitely one to remember~ they're open until midnight on Fridays & Saturdays, making it such a convenient spot to grab a meal after studying, hanging out, or a late-night food run Even better, Jin Cook was recently named the #1 Ranked Restaurant at the 2026 Taste of Buena Park Food Awards and honestly, I can see why! Good food, huge portions, and late-night hours... what more could you ask for?

Wow loved this place and I can see why it's Buena Park's #1 ranked restaurant. The food was delicious, served in big portions, and came out sizzling hot. I already knew the food would be good, but dining here really made me feel like I was at home. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Shin went over the background of the restaurant and over everything about the menu with us. He helped us choose fan favorites and new dishes to try. If you haven't been here, you must! And come early cause there will be a wait.

My son arranged lunch here with his future in-laws, and it turned out to be a great choice. The K-pop was pumpin', the place was packed, and we arrived right when they opened at 11:30, but were seated quickly. Michelle, our server, was friendly, fast, and efficient despite how busy the restaurant was. The food was excellent. We shared dumplings, spicy pork hot pot, a beef hot stone - no cheese, a fish pancake, and washed it all down with soju and Korean beer. Everything was flavorful, came out quickly, and was perfect for sharing. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. I'd definitely come back. 5 stars!

Stopped by here for late lunch and waited about 15 minutes for a table. Not a huge restaurant but plenty of space for small and large parties. The vibe feels like a pocha spot with dim lights and good Korean comfort food. Servers here an incredibly friendly and kept checking up on me every few minutes to make sure everything is good. Food Kimchi jjigae was ultra rich and had the perfect amount of acidity. Plenty of pork slices inside and the broth is extremely flavorful. Seafood pancake came out crispy on both sides with a soft interior, all the seafood and ingredients were perfectly cooked. Their food here is definitely made fresh as both dishes I burned the heck out of my mouth because it was piping hot. Would definitely recommend!

Whenever I go to SoCal for Disneyland, Jin Cook has become a must stop on our first day because it is that good. As someone who eats a lot of Korean food, I haven't found a place in the Bay Area that I like as much as Jin Cook. The variety here is unbeatable and the portions are extremely generous. I have loved every dish I've had at Jin Cook. This time around, we got regular korean fried chicken, korean army stew, brisket ttetboki and the seafood pancake. All of these were amazing, I wouldn't be able to tell you which one was my favorite because it's too hard to choose. I cannot recommend Jin Cook enough, and will be back the next time I'm in the area

I cannot stop thinking about every bite I had there to be honest! There is at times a line, so appreciate the time to starve as it is 100% worth the wait. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. They even apologized for the wait, when it was not their fault. It is just that good that people wait in line for it. There is no check in so you have to write your name and wait. It is a pretty intimate area so it has limited capacity. But you feel how lively this place is with satisfied tummies. We had Anna and Michelle as our servers, who is the best Korean moms you want at your table. They made sure our ban chan was always filled. Highly recommend their Braised Beef Short Rib (Galbi Jim). They charge ~$65 which is very reasonable for the volume and flavor. Rib beef was so tender and savory sweet, alongside some rice cakes, cheese, carrots to take you to flavor town. Their Garlic SuYuk (pork belly) was falling apart as I was trying to bring it to my mouth. The broth it is boiled in is so savory, I used it to pour over my rice. The Katsu Curry was another great dish to have. Japanese style curry which is more on the sweet savory, with super crispy katsu on top. We had 4 people but was so full at the end, we had left overs.

Still love the food here! The service continues to be great, and the food is just as delicious as ever. If you want to avoid a long wait, I highly recommend coming before 5 p.m. We arrived before then and had no trouble getting seated, but the waitlist started growing not long after. This time we ordered the bulgogi hot stone, pork curry katsu, spicy galbi jjim, and a seafood pancake. Everything came out piping hot, which is always appreciated. The dishes were served as they were ready rather than all at once, but we actually preferred it that way. Some items definitely take longer to prepare, so it gave us the chance to enjoy each dish while it was fresh and hot instead of having everythingwait to be finished and then being served. The bulgogi hot stone was flavorful and loaded with tender beef and vegetables. If was a good choice, but not the star of today's meal. The spicy galbi jjim continues to be one of our favorites. It has the same great balance of sweetness and spice that keeps us coming back. The beef was tender, the rice cakes were perfectly chewy, and the vegetables soaked up all of the delicious sauce. Love the pumpkin and potato, but they almost always disintegrate in the sauce, so I'm always happy to find any pieces. We also got the pork curry katsu this time, and it did not disappoint. The pork was juicy, the breading stayed crispy, and the rich curry sauce paired really well with the crunchy cutlet. The seafood pancake was another solid choice. It came out crispy around the edges while staying soft inside, with plenty of seafood throughout. It's still one of my favorite appetizers to share. Overall, another excellent meal. The food has remained consistently delicious, the service was attentive, and everything arrived fresh and hot. I'll definitely keep coming back!

jin cook has an astounding 7-8 locations in california, with just only the cypress and yorba location, you get the to taste the homemade from the mom who created these recipes! keep in mind that once they open at 11:30am, the restaurant is stormed with a long line! service and line goes by super quick, all dishes were fairly priced and they are super breathtaking! definitely consider this place! everyone is super kind the minute you step through the door to the end when you pay, one of my favorite korean cuisines!

I tried Jin Cook after spending a long day at Knotts, and it was what I needed to recharge! The kalguksu came with a good amount of noodles and seafood with a good chewy texture. I was a little disappointed in the soup, I thought it was lacking in depth of flavor, and I also wish it was a little smoother. I also tried the spicy tofu soup, which I thought was better and had a great broth! The wait wasnt too long on a sunday at 6pm, we were able to be seated after around 20 minutes. Service was attentive and we were able to quickly get refills on our banchan! Overall it's a solid Korean restaurant, but I think there are better spots in Buena Park's ktown.

This is one of my son's favorite restaurants, and it's easy to see why. One of the best things about this place is that the food is served in a heated hot pot, so everything stays warm until the very last bite. We ordered the Garlic Suyuk, budae jjigae, and two cheese pork cutlets. Everything was delicious, and the portions were very generous. The Garlic Suyuk was especially flavorful, and I loved dipping the pork into the gochujang sauce and garlic. The budae jjigae was also excellent. I believe it was a newer menu item, and it balanced the richness of the meat dishes very well. As always, the cheese pork cutlet came in a huge portion--so much that we couldn't even finish it all. The staff members were very friendly and attentive. Whenever we needed something or had a special request, they responded quickly and took care of it right away. My son isn't very comfortable using chopsticks, so he asked for a fork. The only minor disappointment was that the fork provided was plastic. The side dishes were neatly prepared and complemented the meal nicely. The restaurant was quite busy, but since we visited during lunchtime, there was very little waiting time. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The restaurant had a cozy and friendly atmosphere that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It felt inviting and relaxed, which was perfect for sharing a meal with family. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back again.

(I am embarrassed I placed this review on the Yorba Linda location. But here's my review on the correct location:) I think this place is worth the wait. I went here with my aunts and cousins and while we underestimated the popularity, I think the food was really good. It was packed for the entire dinner time but the vibe was very comfortable and easygoing. One of the male servers noticed the amount of time we've waited and was kind enough to add-on some free dumplings. Anna was also nice and made sure we were full with side dishes. We really appreciate the generosity from the restaurant, I just felt bad we got super full and couldn't finish all the food! You know it's authentic when you see the local Koreans come here! We came around 7 on a weekday and this was just before more groups started coming in. We got the Spicy Braised Beef Short Rib ($54.95 + $3 cheese) and it came out in a large hot stone plate, with a side of rice and 4 banchan. They blowtorched the cheese for us tableside so we got to watch the cheese melt over the mountain of short ribs. There were so much meat in there that it could probably feed 2-3 people! The meat was literally falling off the bones and they were so tender and absorbed all the flavors of the broth. You can't adjust the spice level, but the spice was manageable and gave just the right amount of kick. Overall, this is a solid spot for Korean food. I would've liked to see more variety in the banchan, but this was not a deal breaker. I would come back to try their soups and other hot stone plates. read more

Food: known for sul lung tang, braised beef but tbh i haven't had anything that i disliked. Food has rich flavors and soup has good balance of meat and noodles. And dumplings are filling and crispy. They have an LA location that I've also been too. Service: amazing! She checks in and give banchan. Before u couldn't take banchan home but now u can pay to take some. Banchan was prepared well. First time trying this place got myself some kimchi jjigae. I didn't order it myself but it was brought to me and this dish is amazing. I don't try new foods often but this was well worth the gamble! I'm excited to go and try this place myself in person. They packed a large paper bag to go and they placed a sheet of cardboard in the bag to stabilize it and keep it safe in transport! Food and service was great! Definitely a bit of a wait; we arrived on a Sunday at 7 pm and got in a little over an hour. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations. I would suggest either calling to check the wait time or going at a time when it isn't busy. We got the seafood pancake which was a bit thick in my opinion but still good nonetheless as I really enjoyed the crispy edges. read more

I love this place. This is the best cutlet I've had in the area. It's delicious. They recently created a super unique fish cutlet. It tastes like chicken meat. It's so good. The mom who is the chef also created a homemade tartar sauce. It's so good. This place is always packed and a go to place for us to eat. The interior is very clean and new. It has a nice vibe. I highly recommend you trying it out if you are in the area. read more

Our large party of 7 showed up around 7 on a Tuesday night and it was pretty crowded! It took awhile to get seated. However, it was WELL WORTH the wait! This was some of the best food I've had in OC in awhile!! We ordered: - Braised short ribs with cheese: the meat was SO TENDER and fell straight off the bone. The sauce on it was perfectly sweet without being too overwhelming and coated all the potatoes, ricecakes, and meat perfectly. - Garlic pork belly: once again the meat was melt in your mouth tender and juicy. The garlic, spicy sauce, and leeks were the perfect compliment to cut the richness of the fat - Chicken cold noodles: Light and refreshing soup, noodles were perfectly chewy and broth was addicting to sip on - Bulgolgi pancake: perfectly crispy and flavorful, the slightly sweet sauce complimented fried pancake well The portions were LARGE and were perfect for splitting with a large group of people! Please go during the week and not on Friday or Saturday night, it's way too busy! Otherwise--the food is amazing, get the garlic sooyuk!!!! I've dined here several times now but they recently made some enhancements that pushed me to leave a review. This place is popular so there's usually a wait, but they now have a water station outside to stay hydrated while waiting. This restaurant seemed to attract mostly foodies. I saw lots of orders of kimbap, kalbi jjim, and su yuk. We tried the pork suyuk. It was pretty good and did the trick. I did feel a bit guilty eating all the pork fat, but it tasted really good as fat always does. My partner ate the budae jigae, aka army stew. She thought it was sub par. After having a really good one in LA, I would have tended to agree. The budae jigae was made with bacon versus a kitchen sink type mix of items in other. The wait was a little long because the restaurant itself was on the smaller side & it was a weekend so it's understandable. I think my party waited for 20 minutes outside, just chatting & catching up. The garlic pork suyuk was definitely the highlight of our meal! Meat literally melted in our mouths & so soft, paired so well either the garlic & samjang paste. I also loved the leek as well! The service at this restaurant is already friendly and attentive, but if you can speak a bit of Korean, it's like getting the VIP treatment. The portions are huge, and the restaurant itself is pretty spacious, but the waiting list pad is oddly placed. With two entrance doors, they force you to walk through the entire restaurant to sign up for the waiting list at the entrance that says "No Entrance." Be warned, the wait for the food is super long. We waited over 30 minutes after ordering, and there's only water on the table, no banchan. But don't worry, the banchan will come with the food, and after you try it, you'll understand why they don't serve it while you wait. +++Their kimchi is particularly amazing, and they probably don't serve it earlier to prevent diners from filling up on it before the main course arrives. ---Unfortunately, not all of the dishes are winners. The seafood soup is a joke - it tastes like instant noodle broth, and there's hardly any seafood in it. The rice is perfectly chewy and soft, and the generous serving of brisket, corn, and sauce make for an almost perfect bite. The only downside is the amount of oil used in the dish, which may upset some stomachs. ---Lastly, stay away from the makgeolli. It smells bad and tastes bitter - definitely not worth the price they're charging for it. Stick with water or something else to drink. Overall, we'll definitely be back for the bibimbap one day, but we'll be skipping the seafood soup and spoiled makgeolli. read more

A Korean friend recommended it to us and now I understand why - everything tasted authentic, portions were generous, and the flavors were unforgettable. Some highlights: * Garlic SuYuk - Huge portion of pork belly, tender but not greasy, paired with garlic sauce, spicy dip, and kimchi. So flavorful and rich. * Braised Beef Short Rib - A must-try, especially with cheese added on top. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the cheesy layer made it irresistible. * Brisket Tteokbokki - Even though I don't usually eat spicy food, this was worth it. The combination of chewy rice cakes, brisket, and ramen noodles with smoky flavors was amazing. * Chogye Cold Noodle - Perfectly refreshing with an incredibly rich chicken broth. Not your typical cold noodle soup - it was fragrant, light, and so satisfying. * Kimbap Jeon (fried egg-wrapped rolls) - Crispy outside, soft inside, and paired with their special white sauce. I absolutely love coming here for the braised beef plate! The portion they serve is incredibly generous and can easily satisfy two or even three people, especially if someone has a smaller appetite. The plate comes with an assortment of delicious side dishes, but our favorites are the tangy pickled onions, flavorful kimchi, and refreshing pickled cucumbers. To be honest, I haven't ventured beyond the braised beef plate because it's just that good. However, I must mention that they offer an amazing option to have cheese on top, which they even blow torch to perfection. It adds a delightful touch to the already mouthwatering dish. One of the reasons I adore this place is the unique combination of sweet pumpkin and abundant onions in their braised beef plate. It sets them apart from other establishments, and I find it absolutely delicious. What's even better is that this delightful meal is priced at only $55. However, I must inform you that there has been a price increase as of May 2023, as it used to be $50. Overall, this restaurant has captured my heart with their incredible braised beef plate. I've been to many restaurants in Orange County, but this place is perfect for a late-night bite! There aren't many spots that stay open late around here, so usually, we'd have to drive all the way to LA for a late-night snack. This restaurant is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, making it an ideal spot to hang out with friends late at night. The interior is amazing it's styled like a Korean movie set, so it really feels like you're traveling to Korea. When I visited, the restaurant was packed, and there was even a line outside. We ordered galbijjim (braised short ribs), curry katsu, tteokbokki, and kimbap. The kimbap was especially unique and delicious covered with egg instead of the usual seaweed wrap. Many of the dishes reminded me of the ones featured in Demon Hunters, which is currently trending. The portions were generous, so it was perfect for sharing with friends. They also have a lychee-flavored soju, which is sparkling and slightly sweet a great match with the food. We ended the night enjoying the cozy atmosphere, chatting and laughing with friends. Place is kind of small though but I'd def come back Updating to my review after eating here: We came on a Friday night around 6:30pm, so the wait was about an hour for 7 people. The place is small and intimate. Once seated, a server took our drink orders and told us we get 2 free sodas if we write a yep review (which I did). We ordered immediately, but by this time we were starving. We thought the sides would be served first like they do at kbbq, but after waiting 15 mins, I asked the waiter and he said they bring sides out when they bring the main dishes out. This is different from the Glendale location, which brought the sides out after taking our orders. While the wait was long, the food was bomb and will literally put you in a coma after. Beeeest Korean comfort food I've ever had! The only downside was that our last dish, the spicy chicken, took reaaaaaaally long to come. Like we were already full by the time it came out because our food already settled, but they were nice enough to give us 3 more free sodas in compensation for the wait. read more

Jin Cook Buena Park is absolutely worth the wait. Just a heads-up, on a Saturday evening the wait time is regularly over an hour, especially for larger groups. We came in with a party of 12 and were told the wait would be longer. Fortunately, another party of 12 ahead of us didn't show up, and Matt, the manager, was incredibly accommodating. Even though not everyone in our group had arrived yet, he worked with us and made sure we were eventually all seated together. That kind of flexibility and customer service really stood out. Once seated, the entire dinner experience was amazing. Huge shoutout to Tim, who took exceptional care of us. We were definitely a needy group, and he was patient, attentive, and always on top of everything we needed. Our table never felt forgotten, and he made the experience even better. I went around 2pm on a Saturday, and the place was pretty lively. There was a short wait, but we got sat pretty quickly. We ordered a spicy pork hot stone & galbi tang, and both options were so delicious. When the spicy pork came out, they torched the top, so the meat was extra hot and cooked. I loved the way that they marinated the meat, and it paired so well with the egg that we added on. The galbi tang was also very delicious. The broth felt light and refreshing, and the meat was not at all tough to chew. Both food items complimented each other pretty well! I definitely would recommend them both. Finally tried their Braised Beef Short Rib -- they flame it up right at your table! The meat was super tender with a strong cheese flavor, and the portions were huge. Sweet & Spicy Gangjung tastes just like Korean street food -- crispy chicken with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I also tried the Specialty Katsu, where you can choose pork, chicken, or fish. I picked pork and chicken, and the special curry sauce made it really tasty. The Cold Noodle and Bibim Noodle were very refreshing and perfect for summer. The Spicy Tofu Soup with seafood has that classic Korean homemade taste -- great with rice. They offer a wide variety of Korean dishes and drinks -- the sparkling lychee soju was my favorite. Came in for lunch on Saturday. The restaurant was packed but we came at the perfect time as a table was just finished being set. It took about 22 minutes for our food to come out though and there was a line of people forming outside too. The spicy beef soup wasn't spicy at all but it was flavorful and came with a side of rice. Sweet potato katsu was crispy, tender and didn't feel overpowered by the cheese. Loved how the curry and katsu were separated from each other to avoid it getting soggy too! Banchan was served with our meal rather than beforehand as you're waiting but the taste was pretty solid even though it's just 4 sides. Oh myy finally some GOOD korean food in BP!!!! I tried so many of korean restaurant in BP and was turned off by how much msg they use and how dirty they are but this place was very good like actually GOOOD!!!! Food 5/5 the quality and presentation of each dishes are on top notch! I tried their galbijjim(braised beef rib), spicy tofu soup and cheese curry katsu! Galbijjim had good texture and so much better than sunnongdan also their portions are so generous. Spsicytofusoup was clean and had kick to it. Service 5/5 Upon entering the workers were super friendly and while dropping off each dishes to my table, server explained how to enjoy each dish. Friendly and very knowledgeable of their dishes. The food arrived piping hot, with generous portions that didn't disappoint. Everything was fantastic, and the service was just as impressive.
