We came here after Disneyland around 10:30 PM. We got seated at 11:14, which honestly wasn't bad for a Saturday night when they were clearly busy. When we arrived there were about 7-9 groups ahead of us. Once we sat down, the server took our order within about 3-4 minutes, and the food came out roughly 20 minutes later. food was onolicious. I can definitely see why people love this place. The ambience is nice. It's a small spot but it doesn't feel cramped at all. The servers were very friendly, which is always a big plus. Our food a 10/10. It was so good that we're already planning to come back for lunch. We regret not ordering their popular dish this time, so that's definitely what we'll get next. They only offer four small side dishes -- a bit of pickled vegetables, a few pieces of cucumber kimchi, another kimchi, and a tiny portion of radish kimchi. At Jin Cook, I seriously question their food handling practices and suspect that leftover food may be reused. On June 30, I ordered a Budae Jjigae to go at around 5:10 PM. While eating it at home, I found a single piece of old, overcooked, soggy tteokbokki rice cake in the stew. That immediately seemed strange, so I looked through the rest of the stew more carefully. I then found a short piece (about 1/2 inch long) of overcooked ramen noodle. The problem is that I never ordered extra ramen noodles or tteokbokki rice cakes with my Budae Jjigae. So why would there be one old, soggy rice cake and one tiny piece of soggy ramen noodle in my food? Given what I found, I couldn't help but suspect that leftover food may have been mixed into my order. I called the restaurant to ask about it, and they told me that their Budae Jjigae normally includes ramen noodles and tteokbokki rice cakes cooked together. However, that explanation was difficult for me to accept. If that's the case, why was there only one overcooked rice cake and one tiny broken piece of ramen noodle? It didn't look like freshly prepared ingredients at all. Jin Cook is a Korean restaurant located in a large plaza with other stores and restaurants. There is plenty of parking. Came here with family on a weeknight for dinner and it was not busy. We were greeted upon entering and shown to a table. We ordered the Bibimbap Hot Stone, Jin Cook Kal Guk Soo, Garlic Soy Chicken, and Seafood Pancake. The Bibimbap Hot Stone was served fairly quickly along with the banchan, but the other dishes took a while to come out. The Bibimbap had a light Sesame flavor. The vegetables were fresh and the rice was soft. We thought the rice on the bottom would get crispy, but it didn't. The Kal Guk Soo was a good comfort dish. It had a good amount of noodles, a couple of dumplings, and a few pieces of brisket. The Seafood Pancake was packed with different types of seafood which was nice. It came with sauce on the side which made the dish more flavorful. The pancake had good texture and was both crispy and soft. The Garlic Soy Chicken was the favorite of the dishes. Very flavorful and it was torched tableside which was fun to see. The chicken was tender and juicy and came on a bed of onions. Overall, giving Jin Cook a 4/5. Food is solid and service is good. The staff are all friendly and warm. Prices are a tad high, but the food is good quality. Would recommend to others looking for good Korean food. Would come back to try other menu items. read more

The food was super yummy and lived up to the hype. We ordered the braised beef with cheese, soy garlic chicken, and seafood pancake. The braised beef slid right off the bone and was super trendy and juicy. The soy garlic chicken was also flavorful and I liked how the pieces were bite sized. And lastly, the seafood pancake was soo crispy and was a perfect add-on to the meal. Additionally our server Jane was so sweet and super attentive. She even helped us pack the braised beef in our to-go container. This might be one of my favorite restaurants in Buena Park. Not the usual Korean restaurant, but more of a put everything in a stone pot and have it sizzling hot type of restaurant. If I could recommend one must have dish at Jin Cook, it would definitely be the Garlic Suyuk. This dish comes with garlic roasted pork belly thinly sliced soaking in its own juices on top of a sizzling stone dish. I have been to a lot of korean restaurants and this is the first time I have seen this dish. The pork belly was the most juicy, tender, and flavorful pork belly I have ever had. I dont know how they do it but this dish is amazing. My wife and I also ordered the cheese stuffed pork katsu curry with with sweet pumpkin inside. I was not sure about the pork, cheese, and pumpkin combination but I was pleasantly surprised how the flavors really complimented each other. The curry was delicious and my only complaint was that I didn't get enough. The spicy pork stone pot was also really good but more on the basic korean dish compared to the other two we had. I would definitely get it again if thats what your feeling for the day. Overall I was really impressed with the food quality and the size of each dish which was more than enough to share. Stopped by this spot for some Korean food with plenty of parking within the vicinity. Waited for about 1.5 hours to finally get in. Great service and food at this establishment. My friends and I opted for their Suyuk, Beef Spicy Soft Tofu Stew, and their Chicken Pancake. All the dishes had great flavor and texture. The chicken pancake had a great mochi-like texture mixed with the savoriness of the chicken. The tofu stew, however, was not hot but closer to a lukewarm temperature. They were all very busy, so I am just assuming they just had forgotten about it. The Suyuk, on the other hand, stole the show with its immaculate flavor and tenderness. I had Jin Cook bookmarked for a while, and finally got to try it. I went at 6:30PM on a Friday night and put my name down for a party of 3, and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Keep in mind that your whole party must be present to be seated, and the restaurant is not that that big. Parking however is easy as the restaurant is located in a large shopping plaza. The interior was fun and hip and service was outstanding, with very friendly servers who were more than happy to take photos of our group when asked. The menu is extensive and although some dishes are a bit pricey, the portions are also massive. I do wish there were more than four banchan though. The food itself was scrumptious, and I love how all three dishes we ordered came out on hot stone plates, keeping the food hot throughout the meal. The pork belly came out boiling in its broth, and the spicy braised beef ribs were delicious even without the torched cheese topping add-on. The seafood pancake was also nice and crispy and significantly thicker than ones offered at most other Korean restaurants. All in all, I was impressed and can see why this place is so popular and busy! I am already looking forward to returning to try their popular katsu! read more

We arrived around 3:30pm on a Friday, and the restaurant was half full. There was no wait to get seated, and our order was taken within minutes. We ordered the spicy braised beef short rib with cheese (+$3). It's meant for two people, but can easily feed 3. The beef could be a bit more tender, but the flavor is very good and not super spicy at all (I think it could have used more spice!). There are also vegetables in the pot (pumpkin, lots of onion, carrots, potato) and a small amount of rice cakes. There's booth and individual chair/table seating here. The booths are fairly large and can fit 4-8 people depending on the section. Parking is plenty since the plaza is large. read more
