OMG the service here was so amazing! Everyone was super friendly and we were just...blown away. Even before you enter, there's a really nice sign outside apologizing for a wait, with refreshments and notice that you could wait in your car, etc (we didn't wait so this didn't apply to us, but dayum I've never seen that before!). And throughout our meal, various servers were helping out and were just extremely kind to our family (THANK YOU!). Alright, onto the food. I LOVED my hot stone bibimbap, which stayed hot until I finished eating it, hah! Will definitely be back!
waited a little over an hour for a group of 7 people, the place is a little smaller than I expected which would explain the longer wait for larger groups (we did notice that they were able to take groups of 2 first bc of that) all the dishes we got were fantastic but our group especially loved the naengmyeon (cold noodle dish) and the garlic suyuk! staff was great and friendly and food came out fast!

Found my new late-night food spot in Buena Park, Jin Cook is the kind of place you come to hungry because everything comes in HUGE portions The food was so flavorful, comforting, and seriously satisfying, with generous portions that make it perfect for sharing with friends or saving some for later. Every dish felt like the kind of meal you want after a long day And if you're a student or someone who gets late-night cravings, this is definitely one to remember~ they're open until midnight on Fridays & Saturdays, making it such a convenient spot to grab a meal after studying, hanging out, or a late-night food run Even better, Jin Cook was recently named the #1 Ranked Restaurant at the 2026 Taste of Buena Park Food Awards and honestly, I can see why! Good food, huge portions, and late-night hours... what more could you ask for?
Wow loved this place and I can see why it's Buena Park's #1 ranked restaurant. The food was delicious, served in big portions, and came out sizzling hot. I already knew the food would be good, but dining here really made me feel like I was at home. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Shin went over the background of the restaurant and over everything about the menu with us. He helped us choose fan favorites and new dishes to try. If you haven't been here, you must! And come early cause there will be a wait.
My son arranged lunch here with his future in-laws, and it turned out to be a great choice. The K-pop was pumpin', the place was packed, and we arrived right when they opened at 11:30, but were seated quickly. Michelle, our server, was friendly, fast, and efficient despite how busy the restaurant was. The food was excellent. We shared dumplings, spicy pork hot pot, a beef hot stone - no cheese, a fish pancake, and washed it all down with soju and Korean beer. Everything was flavorful, came out quickly, and was perfect for sharing. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. I'd definitely come back. 5 stars!
Stopped by here for late lunch and waited about 15 minutes for a table. Not a huge restaurant but plenty of space for small and large parties. The vibe feels like a pocha spot with dim lights and good Korean comfort food. Servers here an incredibly friendly and kept checking up on me every few minutes to make sure everything is good. Food Kimchi jjigae was ultra rich and had the perfect amount of acidity. Plenty of pork slices inside and the broth is extremely flavorful. Seafood pancake came out crispy on both sides with a soft interior, all the seafood and ingredients were perfectly cooked. Their food here is definitely made fresh as both dishes I burned the heck out of my mouth because it was piping hot. Would definitely recommend!
Whenever I go to SoCal for Disneyland, Jin Cook has become a must stop on our first day because it is that good. As someone who eats a lot of Korean food, I haven't found a place in the Bay Area that I like as much as Jin Cook. The variety here is unbeatable and the portions are extremely generous. I have loved every dish I've had at Jin Cook. This time around, we got regular korean fried chicken, korean army stew, brisket ttetboki and the seafood pancake. All of these were amazing, I wouldn't be able to tell you which one was my favorite because it's too hard to choose. I cannot recommend Jin Cook enough, and will be back the next time I'm in the area
I cannot stop thinking about every bite I had there to be honest! There is at times a line, so appreciate the time to starve as it is 100% worth the wait. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. They even apologized for the wait, when it was not their fault. It is just that good that people wait in line for it. There is no check in so you have to write your name and wait. It is a pretty intimate area so it has limited capacity. But you feel how lively this place is with satisfied tummies. We had Anna and Michelle as our servers, who is the best Korean moms you want at your table. They made sure our ban chan was always filled. Highly recommend their Braised Beef Short Rib (Galbi Jim). They charge ~$65 which is very reasonable for the volume and flavor. Rib beef was so tender and savory sweet, alongside some rice cakes, cheese, carrots to take you to flavor town. Their Garlic SuYuk (pork belly) was falling apart as I was trying to bring it to my mouth. The broth it is boiled in is so savory, I used it to pour over my rice. The Katsu Curry was another great dish to have. Japanese style curry which is more on the sweet savory, with super crispy katsu on top. We had 4 people but was so full at the end, we had left overs.
Still love the food here! The service continues to be great, and the food is just as delicious as ever. If you want to avoid a long wait, I highly recommend coming before 5 p.m. We arrived before then and had no trouble getting seated, but the waitlist started growing not long after. This time we ordered the bulgogi hot stone, pork curry katsu, spicy galbi jjim, and a seafood pancake. Everything came out piping hot, which is always appreciated. The dishes were served as they were ready rather than all at once, but we actually preferred it that way. Some items definitely take longer to prepare, so it gave us the chance to enjoy each dish while it was fresh and hot instead of having everythingwait to be finished and then being served. The bulgogi hot stone was flavorful and loaded with tender beef and vegetables. If was a good choice, but not the star of today's meal. The spicy galbi jjim continues to be one of our favorites. It has the same great balance of sweetness and spice that keeps us coming back. The beef was tender, the rice cakes were perfectly chewy, and the vegetables soaked up all of the delicious sauce. Love the pumpkin and potato, but they almost always disintegrate in the sauce, so I'm always happy to find any pieces. We also got the pork curry katsu this time, and it did not disappoint. The pork was juicy, the breading stayed crispy, and the rich curry sauce paired really well with the crunchy cutlet. The seafood pancake was another solid choice. It came out crispy around the edges while staying soft inside, with plenty of seafood throughout. It's still one of my favorite appetizers to share. Overall, another excellent meal. The food has remained consistently delicious, the service was attentive, and everything arrived fresh and hot. I'll definitely keep coming back!
jin cook has an astounding 7-8 locations in california, with just only the cypress and yorba location, you get the to taste the homemade from the mom who created these recipes! keep in mind that once they open at 11:30am, the restaurant is stormed with a long line! service and line goes by super quick, all dishes were fairly priced and they are super breathtaking! definitely consider this place! everyone is super kind the minute you step through the door to the end when you pay, one of my favorite korean cuisines!
This is one of my son's favorite restaurants, and it's easy to see why. One of the best things about this place is that the food is served in a heated hot pot, so everything stays warm until the very last bite. We ordered the Garlic Suyuk, budae jjigae, and two cheese pork cutlets. Everything was delicious, and the portions were very generous. The Garlic Suyuk was especially flavorful, and I loved dipping the pork into the gochujang sauce and garlic. The budae jjigae was also excellent. I believe it was a newer menu item, and it balanced the richness of the meat dishes very well. As always, the cheese pork cutlet came in a huge portion--so much that we couldn't even finish it all. The staff members were very friendly and attentive. Whenever we needed something or had a special request, they responded quickly and took care of it right away. My son isn't very comfortable using chopsticks, so he asked for a fork. The only minor disappointment was that the fork provided was plastic. The side dishes were neatly prepared and complemented the meal nicely. The restaurant was quite busy, but since we visited during lunchtime, there was very little waiting time. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The restaurant had a cozy and friendly atmosphere that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It felt inviting and relaxed, which was perfect for sharing a meal with family. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back again.
I tried Jin Cook after spending a long day at Knotts, and it was what I needed to recharge! The kalguksu came with a good amount of noodles and seafood with a good chewy texture. I was a little disappointed in the soup, I thought it was lacking in depth of flavor, and I also wish it was a little smoother. I also tried the spicy tofu soup, which I thought was better and had a great broth! The wait wasnt too long on a sunday at 6pm, we were able to be seated after around 20 minutes. Service was attentive and we were able to quickly get refills on our banchan! Overall it's a solid Korean restaurant, but I think there are better spots in Buena Park's ktown.

My friends and I randomly yelped this place and came to eat. We ordered the spicy braised beef short rib with cheese and chicken kalgooksoo. The short rib was so good and I really enjoyed how spicy it was. The cheese was perfect with the short ribs too. If you like cheese then it's a must to get it with the short ribs. I thought the kalgooksoo was okay but I wouldn't order it the next time I go. It wasn't the best and thought it could be much better. We went during lunchtime on a Saturday and it was packed. *Sizzle sizzle* this jewel was a great find for Korean soul food! .Garlic SuYuk (sous vide pork belly) came with Chives, garlic, and chili was fun to get for its presentation and uniqueness, but I have a sous vide at home and could have made this and the flavor was not all there for me. .Seafood pancake was my favorite I've ever had. Fresh, crispy and perfect balance of veggies and seafood. Soy dipping sauce was yummy too! .Pork katsu was good and i would totally get again! Tender and crispy! Came with dipping sauce, rice, and Asian salad. Will try it with the curry next time since they serve veggie based curry. .Steamed dumplings (pork) were a nice appetizer and decent price. Service was great! Utensils came once we were seated and water jugs that was plenty for the entire meal. And super easy to pay as they bring the portable device to you to pay. Wooooow. We came here for Saturday lunch, and it was decently bustling, so we had to wait around 15-20 minutes to be seated. They have a paper waitlist and verbally call you when they're ready, so make sure to stay around the area! We ordered the marinated dumplings to share, and each ordered our own entree (which would prove to be a mistake...). I had the Jincook Beef Hot Stone Pot, which was absolutely so comforting and delicious. The portions, however, are huge. Coming back, I would definitely share one.. as I ended up having to tap out on the rice. Super satisfied with my visit, and to top things off, the staff was super nice and welcoming to us. We came here to solely compare their version of braised beef short rib vs my all time favorite place - Sun Nong Dan. Verdict: Sun Nong Dan still is the ultimate winner in my books. The flavor was decent but lacked sauce. The sauce helps coat the meat elevating more flavor. The dish had way too many other fillers - onions and potatoes compared to short ribs. I wish the meat was slightly more tender but found several pieces to be more chewy. Overall, it's a great spot if you're in the OC but when you're in LA, then Sun Nong Dan still takes the lead when it comes to braised beef short ribs. Service was amazing and attentive. read more

This is my second time coming back with my best friend, for me to say that I enjoyed it even more is an understatement. I've been CRAVING the Spicy pork hot stone since I had it a few months ago, it's so delicious and spicy I had to come back!! We ordered the spicy pork the first time along with the Garlic soy chicken, I've never had such tender chicken that had amazing taste all around. We tried the Kimbap jeon this time. It was delicious. It was lightly crispy but soo fluffy on the inside and the sauce on the side was a nice addition! The kimbap has carrots, imitation(?) crab and tuna inside. The side dishes are sooo tasty as well, we love the cucumber and daikon kimchi :) We both love to eat and can eat WELL, splitting two items is filling for us! It is a little pricey (coming from a college student) but well worth it every now and then! Im excited to hopefully come back after finals I believe our server was Matt? He was very polite and we recognized him from before. Always kind and checked in on us frequently as well as other staff! There are always big groups and families when we've come in, which is always a good sign I wonder when their last call is for orders? As we were leaving, a couple came in 5min before closing (9:30) and one of the staff still let them order :0 I also work in food service, so that's a generous gesture for sure, props to your kitchen staff!! read more

This place has been on my to-try list for a while now and I'm so glad I finally checked it out. Might be one of my new go to spots for Korean comfort food in the OC! The food was solid and the portions are MASSIVE. The bulgogi bibimbap had a good ratio of everything and satisfied the craving. My favorite was the Curry Pork Katsu -- the curry was very flavorful and the katsu had that perfect crispy thin breading. The banchan was also very tasty! Overall, there's a nice and chill ambiance, the service was good and the parking was easy. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu, especially the Galbi-jjim! read more

I came here with a group of friend and the wait was about 45 mins on a Friday night. I recommend going w more than two people so you can try more dishes. The portions are huge and meant to be family style. What we ordered (from fave to least fave): 1. Seafood pancake - this was sooo crispy and delicious. They didn't skimp on the seafood at all. Make sure to dip it in the sauce. 2. Spicy pork hot stone - yum!!! If you want a protein dish this is it! They also torch the meat when they serve it. 3. Cheese curry Katsu - the curry came out piping hot and the cheese was melty and gooey. 4. Tteokbokki - we all agreed this was our least favorite. Came here with my partner on a Sunday for a late lunch (3pm). There's plenty of parking as it's in a big lot with not a lot of other restaurants around. The place was pretty empty which is great since I've read about how packed it is around dinner. The servers here are super attentive with everything and make you feel like you're being taken care of, always checking in to make sure we had enough banchan and that everything was tasting fine. Great service! Food was really solid. I enjoyed the suyuk's flavor and texture. All the banchan was good as well and my partner enjoyed his army stew. read more

Looks like they have quite a bit of spicey dishes? What if you cant handle spicey? Could they make it non spicey like keeping out the jalapeño
We had orderred few dishes that were non spicy. tofu soup, seafood pancake and bibimbap(ask for nonspicy). Also i believe there were 2 versions of shortrib JJim(spicy and non spicy).
