    Bafang Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup
    Evelyn C.

I like the food and typically order takeouts. There is no question that the food is authentic, fresh, and tasty - although I think the beef noodle soup can be a hit and miss so probably won't order that again and stick to dumplings and potstickers. Today I dined in here for the first time and I'd concur what some of the other reviews said - the tables and floor need cleaning. I think the problem is that there is only one person who handles ordering, cooking, and packaging to-go's most of the time. Therefore, it's not hard to understand why the tables are left uncleaned and I didn't dear to check the restroom. A strong recommendation for the owner/manager of this location - hire more staff so the store can be properly cleaned and be more welcoming - you will see business grew more and more customers would be willing to dine in. If you want to save on overhead then do it yourself or have family members to help out part time like most family-ran Chinese businesses do.

You need a quick protein rich snack pre or post workout w/o the greasiness and feeling weighed down? Go to Bafang Dumplings! The shrimp wontons, chicken and corn potstickers, and the pork chops were perfect for the occasion. I went onto exercise with my dogs for close to 6 miles today without feeling any discomfort. The order was placed online and became available in less than 5 minutes. Parking is free and easily found right in front of the store. The bathroom isn't the cleanest but available for customers to use. I wouldn't mind stopping by for a quick bite again in the future.

Grab quick lunch with my friends here and it's not disappointing. We tried so many things because we cannot decide!! They offer so many great combo and afternoon special with good price!! We got the potstickers which are so juicy inside and crispy outside. The meat is so flavorful and delicious. We also like the noodles. It's pretty good portion and the noodles cook al dente. The sauce is light but you can always add soy sauce and chili oil. The staff is knowledgeable and nice. The service is kinda slow but it still tolerable. Recommend for quick Chinese lunch break!!

This is my go-to spot whenever i'm craving potstickers. We got the potsticker & wonton soup combo and pork chop & signature bafang noodles combo. The wonton soup was flavorful & comforting. The pork chop dish & the noodles were also delicious. I do wish they had more vegetable dish options for better overall balance. The signature noodles were a little spicy but it was still very good. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. Definitely will be coming back

    Sticky, dirty tray

Food is good however, the tray they use to place your food is dirty and sticky. Seems like it's never been washed. And the tables are sticky and not properly wiped to get the gunks out. Looking at the tray makes you lose your appetite. If you look closely at the trash bin, it looks like it's never been cleaned either and looks greasy. The owner should take action to address these issues. If this is what we see outside I wonder how it looks inside where they prepare the food.

    Signature dumplings, pretty good! 8/10

This is my go to for parties, small gatherings or just to bring to someone's house. You can order ahead and it's convenient. I always order the signature dumplings and every one likes it. I tried their soup, not a fan. But, must give their dumplings a try! It's so good with the black vinegar sauce and garlic sauce. Trust me. Tip: don't use the small containers at the sauce station. Instead, use the big cup size that comes with a lid, you get more and it's easier. You're welcome.

Bafang is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking. There was no line, but our food took 20 minutes to come out. Service seemed slow given that everyone already there had food at their table. Ordered the combo 8 which is the old fashion noodle, bafang pork chop, and drink. Ordered the kimchi and pork potsticker as well. The old fashion noodle had a light flavor and it was good. I enjoyed the noodle texture. The bafang pork chop wasn't as crispy as I expect and had a sweet flavor. The kimchi and pork potsticker was definitely my favorite. The garlic and spicy chili sauce paired well. This is fast dining, but it wasn't too fast as we had to wait for our food. I'd come back to try their other foods though.

Ordered a SIGNATURE NOODLES, pork chop, and 12 pieces of kimchi potsticker. The noodles has decent texture, but I wish it has more sauce. Pork chop is well prepared, but the size is very small for the price. Potstickers are the best. They are cooked to perfection. The to go packaging is very nicely done. It keeps the food very fresh and to its true texture.

Dumpling/Gyoza/Potsticker - Whatever it is you choose to call them, they are delicious! This place is a fam favorite, my kids love them! The service is always good, and there's plenty of seating and a nice atmosphere if you eat in. Whatever your family calls them, if you enjoy good ones, this is your place! :)

Cute to go bags for my lunch order!

Food here is fantastic. The Spicy Signature noodles and the signature potstickers are easily my favorite. The dumplings are very tasty, don't miss out on trying them for yourself! This will continue to be a regular lunch spot for me until further notice! :D Thank you to the amazing staff as well. Such kind and attentive people!

Sad to see that their last day is May 11th. Would highly recommend people to try before their last day. Our latest visit was during lunchtime on a weekday. We were greeted upon entering and were told to choose whichever table we wanted. We ordered a Wintermelon Tea, Fried Pork Chop Rice, and the Century Egg Tofu. Food and tea came out quickly. Everything was so good and felt like comfort food that family would make. The pork chop was seasoned well and came with a tea egg, and vegetable sides of broccoli and tomato as well as soup. The tomato side reminds me of this tomato egg that we eat often. The century egg tofu was delicious. The tofu had a great texture -- soft, creamy, but also dense. The sauce that it came with was sweet, salty, and garlicky. The century egg was good. The winter melon tea was light on ice, well-balanced, and not too sweet. Overall, giving Formosan Restaurant a 5/5. Wish we started coming here sooner. Staff are nice, service is quick, prices are great, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend people to try if they haven't before. Will definitely be back before their last day.

Still, it's nice to know this place remains a reliable go-to whenever I'm craving a good drink. One thing I really appreciate is how creative they are with their seasonal menu. It feels like there's always something new to try, and there is always a drink I want to try. This time, I ordered the seasonal High Mountain Paradise with 50% sugar and lychee jelly. It was absolutely delicious, and the 50% sugar level was perfect. It was just sweet enough to bring out the flavors without overpowering the tea itself. The mango and guava notes were a bit subtle, but they paired wonderfully with the delicate oolong tea, creating a refreshing and well balanced drink. The lychee jelly was also a great addition, adding a little extra texture and sweetness with every sip. I'd also say this jelly was softer than the typical jelly I've gotten, which I really liked. The shop can get pretty busy, probably because they really do offer a little bit of everything. Besides drinks, they have a food menu that seemed surprisingly popular during my visit. I saw plenty of people ordering snacks and meals, and everything coming out looked and smelled amazing. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of the food for myself next time. The space itself is on the smaller side, so finding a seat during peak hours can be a bit challenging. That said, they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which helps.

I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

At first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the overall experience was better than I anticipated. The seasoning was a little strong, and some dishes had a fairly familiar, standardized taste. There were four of us, and we ordered about eight or nine of their most popular dishes. My parents really enjoyed the food. I have worked in China before, so I may be a little more sensitive and particular when it comes to Chinese food. And prefer it over many other Asian cuisines.* The reason I chose M's Kitchen over two other Taiwanese restaurants in the area? So many more vegetable dishes! And wow, am I completely grateful I did! We arrived on a Saturday evening, and the server and chef were both in the kitchen. The server came over and gave us menus before getting our drink orders. She was prompt in a very caring manner without ever seeming rushed. She had lots of suggestions as we asked questions about the menu. At some point, the chef was sitting with us, and she asked him clarifying questions for us. She even went back into the kitchen to find out which vegetables were the freshest (which I appreciated)! We ordered a cup of ginseng and goji berry chicken soup, chicken cream corn soup (with egg), ong choy with garlic, walnut shrimp, crispy tofu, and green scallion pancake. As each dish came out, it felt like different instruments in an orchestra being highlighted as they wove into the tapestry of the music. The ong choy built onto the soup, the crispy tofu onto the ong choy and soup, and so on! Until there was this grand harmony of pulsating flavors and textures! I thoroughly enjoyed each dish! I only wish I had a bigger appetite so I could eat more and faster! The server helped us to pack the leftovers. We spoke about how traditional Chinese and Taiwanese food get lost in the mix of more modern and fusion recipes and restaurants.
