For gods sake clean your restaurant. Hire a company that will professionally clean it. Every surface is sticky and has crud on it. The containers for the sauces haven't been cleaned in a long time. Let's start with the soups -- the hot and sour and the corn chowder. The corn chowder wasn't bad; it had a flavor a bit reminiscent of grits. The hot and sour soup, however, could've used more depth. I've had much more flavorful versions elsewhere, so this one fell a bit short. The signature dumplings and potstickers were okay, but nothing special. Honestly, I could pick up some from any H-Mart and get a similar experience at home with a better dipping sauces. The dipping sauces were pretty standard -- the soy sauce was a good quality taste, the garlic sauce was forgettable, and the chili sauce tasted exactly as expected. The Bafang signature noodles were the standout for me. They had an interesting, fresh unique flavor -- maybe lemongrass? I couldn't quite place it, but I liked it. Overall, when it comes to flavor -- which is what matters most -- I'd give the meal a solid C+. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing wowed me either. I like the food and typically order takeouts. There is no question that the food is authentic, fresh, and tasty - although I think the beef noodle soup can be a hit and miss so probably won't order that again and stick to dumplings and potstickers. Today I dined in here for the first time and I'd concur what some of the other reviews said - the tables and floor need cleaning. I think the problem is that there is only one person who handles ordering, cooking, and packaging to-go's most of the time. Therefore, it's not hard to understand why the tables are left uncleaned and I didn't dear to check the restroom. A strong recommendation for the owner/manager of this location - hire more staff so the store can be properly cleaned and be more welcoming - you will see business grew more and more customers would be willing to dine in. This is my go-to spot whenever i'm craving potstickers. We got the potsticker & wonton soup combo and pork chop & signature bafang noodles combo. The wonton soup was flavorful & comforting. Food is good however, the tray they use to place your food is dirty and sticky. Seems like it's never been washed. And the tables are sticky and not properly wiped to get the gunks out. Looking at the tray makes you lose your appetite. If you look closely at the trash bin, it looks like it's never been cleaned either and looks greasy. Still finding our groove on what to order but generally speaking, this is a great place to stop and get some noodles and dumplings. It seems a bit pricey but the food is quick. On one visit here, the staff was trying to help us carry the food to our table and an order of dumplings fell on the table. They immediately offered to replace it and were super kind about it. I like the small sauce bar. My only criticism is that this place is kind of dirty. It seems like there is a layer of grease everywhere, likely because there is an open kitchen. Bafang is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking. There was no line, but our food took 20 minutes to come out. Service seemed slow given that everyone already there had food at their table. Ordered the combo 8 which is the old fashion noodle, bafang pork chop, and drink. Ordered the kimchi and pork potsticker as well. The old fashion noodle had a light flavor and it was good. I enjoyed the noodle texture. The bafang pork chop wasn't as crispy as I expect and had a sweet flavor. The kimchi and pork potsticker was definitely my favorite. The garlic and spicy chili sauce paired well. Came here on our date night wanting to try something new. We ordered 1. Old Fashioned noodle with bafang porkchop 2. Taiwanese beef noodle soup 3. 6 signature dumplings We wait 30 min and our food is not ready. My wife walks up and sees a tray with our number and asked if we can get the food that's ready first. We get the dumplings, porkchop and side of noodles with nothing else. The dumplings taste good but we're very cold. I can't imagine how much colder it could be if we didn't get it early. The porkchop was good. And we got the side of noodles for the Taiwanese beef noodle only Another 20 min and now the old fashioned noodles are ready. We're now at 1 hour still waiting for the soup/sauce for the noodles. It's a bit outrageous how slow this was and how many workers are back there scrambling. It was very frustrating. I got dumplings which were good not bad at all you just definitely need to stock up on the sauces they have there to self serve in case you are like me and like to have a saucy dumpling. 4/5 I also got the spicy noodles and in my opinion the noodles were pretty bland and had no flavor to them. 2/5 service was quick and easy and the ambiance was pretty dead for a Saturday afternoon! The wait in line was short, but the wait for food was maybe 10 minutes? The restaurant was clean, and they do provide highchairs for kids. While you wait, they have a condiment bar with garlic sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, black vinegar, and chili sauce. Signature potstickers (3.5/5): the flavor isn't much better or worse than anything you could buy from an Asian supermarket. So you better eat it fresh so it's at least at peak crispyness, otherwise you might as well have made it at home. Hot and sour soup (3.5/5): actually I liked how there was a variety of stuff inside- tofu, bamboo shoots, carrots, meat, etc. But I wish the flavor was a bit stronger and that there was more of a peppery kick. It would be great if they let you add white pepper. The flavor was different from the typical hot and sour soup. More of a orange-y aftertaste that I wasn't a big fan of. Signature noodles (3.5/5): Texture was very qq chewy. Flavor was fine. It was just underwhelming that it was literally just noodles and sauce with some garnish. My toddler enjoyed it though. Taiwan beef noodle soup (3.5/5): the nonspicy soup is still mildly spicy. They only give you 2 leafs of bok choy. You do get 2 big chunks of radish and 4 decent pieces of beef. The soup flavor was on point. The noodles were also decently qq. The main thing that KILLED the flavor of dish though was the pickled mustard greens, which had this very artificially sweet aftertaste that was very unpleasant. And at almost $17, I'd rather go somewhere more legit. At $40, I think I would have rather have gone to California fish grill or like Northern Cafe. Even the Chinese stall at 99 ranch in Artesia is much more worth it. It was worth trying once, but we're unlikely to come back. read more

Was here for grand opening during lunch time. I'm not going to review the food because the service/first-impression was absolutely b/s and unfair. Everyone was waiting in line to order and get their food, but a rude couple cut in line saying they have a flight to catch at 2pm... so therefore they should be served first. They went up to the front and the lady let them order! Not only that, they got their food before other people that ordered before them! Bafang spicy beef noodle soup is the best. The best I have had in LA, at least a more memorable one. Asked for extra pickled vegetables from cashier, and they gave me extra for free. Very polite service. The potstickers are amazingly crispy when eaten right away. Add a little bit of their garlic sauce and spicy sauce if you want to change up the profile of flavor. It's a clean place, everything is organized and well kept. Condiments and drinks area are kept clean. The interior presents itself in bright and clean environment. After visiting the Bafang in Rowland Heights a number of years ago, I wasn't too impressed at that time but given that this one just opened, I thought I'd give it another try. As you enter the restaurant, you will line up to order at the counter. They will give you a number/beeper after you've ordered. The food is definitely better than I last remembered but the service is pretty much the same. No smiles, no greeting, not great...not bad...was hoping for a little more in terms of service though. Don't get me wrong, they weren't rude, just not very friendly....maybe it's because it was already 8 p.m. on a Sunday night. The menu is pretty straight forward but before you order, check out the combos which might help you save some money. For example, Combo 12 is $14 for the potsticker (12) and wonton soup. If you buy them separately the potsticker is $11 and the mini wonton soup is $5.75. So we ordered the beef noodle soup which is the best thing. The beef wasn't too tender but the soup, noodles, and beef was flavorful. It came with 4 chunks of beef. It looks spicy but wasn't. Small hot/sour soup isn't bad...had a lot of the traditional ingredients. Could of used a little more hot and sour. The spicy wontons were okay, a bit on the small side and the spicy chili sauce is different, not what I've usually had from other dumpling places. The wonton soup is good and the broth is pretty clean but the again, the wontons are on the small side. The signature potstickers were juicy but I would prefer the bottom crust to be a little harder. The Bafang signature noodle is mixed with the peanut flavor. The noodles itself had a good texture but I'm wasn't a big fan of the flavor. The food is definitely good enough for a second visit...hopefully the service improves and if it does at my next visit, I'll bump it up to 4 stars. read more

Sadly this was our second visit and it wasn't any better, we gave it a second chance as we did visit a few days after opening. Well it's been several months and they just can't get it right. Our order was Combo #1 and Combo #5. They took 15 minutes to just put up the soups which I had to approach the pick up window and ask if it was our Order. So everyone else has their food ours came in pieces. Then at 22 min after order they brought out the dumplings for Combo #5 and told me it would be another 10 minutes till the dumplings for Combo #1 would be ready. No apology or any sense of urgency.
