I hate leaving bad reviews. But here it goes. I ordered the chachacha ramen via doordash. It was takeout and I did order it around 10pm (they close at 11pm) so that could be why it wasn't that great. But yes, sadly it was so flavorless. There was way too much raw onion in the broth. I love onion in all forms but the onion should not be so abundant and the ramen just tasted of nothing. The pork was very good. Noodles are more cooked than I would of liked. Maybe I just got an off batch or maybe I ordered the wrong thing. read more

Quickly stopped by a bite to eat, and was not disappointed! The service was incredibly friendly and our waiter was on the ball with refills, and food delivery. I got a Red Ramen at level 6 spice which has a decent kick to it. I do recommend going on the lower end of the scale if you do not eat spicy food regularly. We tried the Buford location a week after they opened. It was pretty busy when we went, we waited about 30-40 minutes before being seated. Once we were sat, it took quite a while for a server to come greet us, but knowing they just opened, we were understanding. We knew what we wanted so when the server came, we ordered everything at once. There were four of us, so we ordered four bowls of ramen and three appetizers. We waited quite a while before the food came out, but again it was busy and they are new so we didn't make a big deal of it. The ramen came out before the appetizers, which were two orders of gyoza and one order of the crispy rice. The gyoza took a while to come out, but finally did and was very good. The bowls of ramen are probably the best we've ever had from a Jinya! Everything was super hot and just so flavorful. Despite the wait, we were all happy and full once the food came out! Our server was very kind and apologetic. My only major complaint was that she took my wine glass before I was finished drinking it, but luckily we were able to get it back so I could finish what we paid for. We also ordered a to go order a couple nights ago, and everything with our order was perfect and tasted great! Highly recommend the food at this location, but they need a little more time working out some kinks in service. read more

We finally got a table without a wait! We'd come about 3x and the wait was always over 45 min so that's a good sign.. We had excellent service (multiple people stopped by to check on us and see how our food was) and we had AMAZING food. I was super impressed by how clean this place was and how great it was all around. We had salmon and tuna tacos, the tuna cakes, pork gyoza , black ramen, vegan harvest and Panna cotta. Everything was flavorful and came out in a timely manner and fresh out the kitchen. The place inside is super trendy and warm .. doesn't feel like your in north Georgia lol We can't wait to come back, perfect place for the fall and winter. read more

Someone else at my table had the Spicy Chicken and that might actually be my favorite of the 2. I read the other reviews and really wasn't expecting much service-wise when I dined here for lunch today; however, our server was excellent! He was on top of everything, so friendly and anticipated our needs before we asked for anything. He was awesome. I can't remember his name, but he seemed to be the only male server at the time (Tuesday lunch). Our food had no issues coming out. It came out sooo quick. I work at the Lville Suwanee exit, and I was able to get to Jinya, eat, and come back all within 1 hour and 10 minutes. I've dined at other Jinya locations before, and this location is just as good in my opinion. I tried their crispy rice appetizer, and it was pretty good!! It was a little too oily, but taste-wise, it was great. The dumplings were great too. I tried the Original Tonkotsu today rather than my usual Tonkotsu Black. I enjoyed it a lot. The broth was rich and fatty and savory. I think I will still stick to my Tonkotsu Black though because it's my absolute favorite. I came here around 1145AM, and we were seated right away with only 2 other tables occupied at the time, but when we were leaving around 1235PM, the line was out the door. I recommend getting there way before or way after the weekday lunch rush. There's plenty of bar seating and single-party seating, but if you're going with 4+ people, it might be harder to get a table during the lunch rush. read more

The wife and I were driving around looking for a place to have dinner. We happened upon this place at the Exchange @ Gwinnett. It's a new place, only been open for about 6 months. The atmosphere was inviting as our server sat us at an outside table on their covered patio. This happened to be the first night that James, the owner, had invited a couple of guys to play jazz out on the patio near the corner lounge with firepit. Huge success! Shout-out to @Slow Pour Brewing Company for supplying the free swag and great beer. I ordered the spicy chicken ramen and she ordered the JINYA Tonkotsu black both of which were great dishes. Just the right amount of spice and the ramen was not lacking. After dinner we sat in the corner lounge and listened to the music, drank beer and had an amazing Old Fashion. My experience with Jinya has been weird. It's one of the first ramen shops I've had while living in Atlanta and at the time 4 years ago, I thought it was really good and I'd recommend it as my go to place for ramen to most people. As the years have passed my recommendation for Jinya has gone from love to indifference to absolute distain. I'm not sure if it's the changes to the menu or if it's just this location, but my experience at this location was underwhelming to say the least. First, our food came in late. We were just a party of 2 and a party of four that walked in after us got their appetizers and food before we did. Sure, this is a forgivable offense -- it's brand new and busy and the staff still need some work. The place's sin is the food. There doesn't seem to be any quality control what so ever. I had ordered a shio ramen -- which is known for having clear broth -- but they put tonkotsu broth into my shio tare which made for an incredibly salty soup. When I did finally get my ramen, the noodles were undercooked and it tasted like I was eating raw dough. At that point I just gave up. The worst thing that can happen in any relationship is apathy, because at least when someone complains it comes from a place that wants to make it work out. Maybe I'll try this place again; maybe not; maybe I'll try the sandy springs location just to compare. Regardless, I'd probably avoid ramen from Jinya for a while. It's a little raw. read more
