today around 11:20 am , April 8 2026 - I saw couple Cockroach running around. And I still calm and tell one of lady. - I still bought some food too. BUT, the floor manager TOo nasty attitude. I want some noodle, she said no. Only rice.I said, can I get something just extra, because only 4 choice without rice. For the future get better Manager, if you respect. Thx

    Four choice and a soup

So full disclosure this shop now has two locations, one location next to the escalators by jmart and another location inside the actual food court, I went to the food court location and was severely disappointed for a multitude of reasons. While its reasonable to temper your expectations when you go to these types of places as they are reasonably priced and sit out for a while, having rotting or spoiled food should never be the case. I dont really remember much about the place except maybe 3 things that stuck out to me. I ordered the fish and tofu dish that had no fish pieces left inside, I had to direct the server to literally fish for the last piece of fish in the tray, to which she seemed annoyed she had to do, the rude server lady who did not want to be there and just wanted everyone to get in and out asap and to inconvenience her as little as possible, not really the mentality for someone in the service industry, and the spoiling sour dish of pig ears and cucumber, I bit into the dish and it tasted sour and unpleasant like its been sitting out for a day or two without a care in the world. While 4 choice spots are becoming increasingly rare, it is something that im starting to seriously enjoy, however this spot will be an absolute last resort for me in the foreseeable future

    4 choices & soup $10

These 4 options places are a rare find nowadays. I'm glad that this one exists. You get 4 choices plus rice and water or soup for $10. Even though that's double what it used to be, it's still a bargain for a super filling meal. They have a plethora of meat, fish, veggie, noodle choices that suit all different palates. Whether you want authentic or Americanized, you'll find something delicious. Note: it's takeout only but you can bring down to the food court and eat there.

Steamed grey sole was light, gingery. Salted fish and chicken dishes were tasty, not too salty for us. 2-3 dimsum carts were going around - S,M, or L, priced above $4 to $5.75. Small charge for hot tea per person. Were able to ask any staff for help when needed, no assigned waitstaff, which was ok bec. service was fast. Walking distance from Broadway/Queens Blvd so Elmhurst Ave stop on M, R train and a few bus lines. Restrooms available.

We came for dim sum and stayed for lunch. I loved that the rice rolls were made only if someone ordered them. My fav is the shrimp rice roll. The shrimp rice crepe wrapped me in its warm embrace while the fresh shrimp was almost crunchy, steamed just right. The chicken feet will always be one of my favorite dishes, they marinate it well and it's usually very flavorful. Our seafood chow fun was very well made, fresh rice noodle with shrimp, scallops, squid and other seafood cooked just right. The chefs here are spot on every time in taste, texture and the degree to which everything should be cooked to perfection. It's always a joy to feast here for celebrations, family dinners and everything in-between. Two thumbs up! Ocean Bay Seafood Restaurant is definitely a hidden gem and consistently brings amazing comfort food to all who crave an exciting foodie adventure.

I always get really full eating here with so many options of dim sum. Love the steam coming out…read morefrom multiple carts of food. I love that they have the tofu pudding with ginger and the crispy shrimp crueller. Also, when you leave- they always have bakery buns or roast pork or duck you can pick up before you go.

***This review is strictly for their banquet-style entrees, not dim sum***…read more THE FOOD ---------------- + Banquet-style platters were solid - Our group of 3 tables ordered the Five combination cold appetizers platter, Fried Tofu, Braised Fish Fin and Crab Meat Soup, Sliced Abalone with Mushrooms and Bok Choy, House Beef Short Rib with Broccoli, Lobster, Crab Fried Rice, Crispy Fried Chicken, Steamed Fish, Longevity Noodles were all decent. Highlights included: ++++ House Beef Short Rib with Broccoli - Meat was soooooo tender. It literally fell off of the giant bone in the middle. ++++ Steamed Fish - I wasn't sure what type of fish was ordered, but the fish was delicious. Fish sauce was tasty and the fish was silky smooth. ++++ Lobster - Can't go wrong here, although it wasn't the traditional Cantonese-style as it was drier, but, nevertheless, still excellent. THE SERVICE ------------------- = LIGHTNING FAST! Our entrees for our 3 table banquet came at a ridiculously furious pace. Before we could even pick up the community spoon to scoop food from the prior entree, the next one would come out. It was wayyyy, waaaaayyyy too quick. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + MASSIVE main dining room that is perfect for dim sum on weekends. + Private dining room - We sat in here for our small banquet. There were 4 large tables inside, but it was plenty spacious. - Valet only parking lot behind the restaurant was a nightmare and JAM packed, even on a Thursday afternoon at 12 PM. Can't imagine what it's like on a weekend during dim sum hours. Yikes! = The restaurant is located in a residential area, so you can potentially get lucky with a street parking space, albeit a few blocks away. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = There is a takeout area connected to the main restaurant. They sell dim sum, bakery pastries/buns and roast meats there.

Since it was a sweltering hot summer…read moreday, instead of my usual beef soup noodles, I opted for a pork stir fry noodle and boiled dumplings. My friends ordered the vegetable stir fry noodles and beef stir fry noodles. The noodle orders were good and huge portions (we all ended up packing some home). The meat inside the dumpling was flavorful. I prefer thinner skins but my friends really like them. The counter person was not the owner (I think maybe he was the son) -- very helpful and patient answering all the questions posed by my friends. I forgot to take photos of the food. Too busy chatting and catching up with the girls.

Does not appear there is a server or tipping required. Ample sauces. Large menu. Noodles are actually hand pulled nr the counter I got the #2 boiled pork and leek dumplings. Rather costly at $6 for 8. After about 25 minutes I was still waiting. Staffer said it takes 10min to cook but they must have been busy. Signage is poor as it doesn't say Lao Bei Fang in English. Just says Northern Dumplings. My boiled dumplings were good. Very thick skinned. Pricing and long wait makes me ding this place.
