How do you know when a place is good? When the line goes out the door none stop. This place is an old farm house converted into a bustling restaurant, the food here and service is off the hook fantastic. Their menu is excellent, if you can't find something here that you like to eat then....honestly there is something seriously wrong with you! There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. You have to go to use the restrooms " trust me.... Come up with an excuse and go use one of there restrooms" they all have different themed with Barbie and GI Joe dolls with a cartoon playing on a tv. Ok now for the food: I ordered the honey mustard glazed chicken & waffles and a over the top chocolate chip cookie milkshake, wifey ordered their salmon and a Date Shake and the 4 of us ordered a slice of their homemade strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake is hands down the cheesecake I've ever had! " Cheesecake Factory, who?" Seriously it was airy, dense, and moist all at the same time. " sounds like a contradiction, but trust me it's not." And don't get me started on the strawberry sauce. The honey mustard chicken was just banging good!! I got 3 super moist cutlets on 2 large waffles with butter and warm pancake syrup. The fried battered chicken had a hint of honey mustard. All the flavors are well balanced, simply delicious. My milkshake was huge and was honestly enough for 2 people. It came with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Under the whip cream was a homemade chocolate chip cookie and the chocolate chip milkshake had small chunks of chocolate chip cookie in it as well. As I said earlier the service is impeccable and the employees are all very nice. They do have long lines but it moves fast. We placed an online pick up order here based on great reviews and healthy eats. We headed there a bit early so we could check out the farm, and I'm so glad we did. It has a expansive property with a farm feel inside the city. We stopped through the interior, to check on the order, and it has a rustic, chip and joanna feel inside. We waited outside on a picnic table in, taking in the sights and sounds, and even smells! There were a lot of family and friendly get together for a Sunday evening. It's very kid friendly as there is a lot of room to stretch out. The bathrooms are also outside, but clean and kept. Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere was even better. My husband and I tried Joe's Farm Grill many years ago and didn't love their grilled sandwich due to the oil taste. We thought we'd try it again late last week but this time, try the burgers. Parking was a bit chaotic if you have kids like mine who don't love to walk a long distance. Thankfully, we lucked out this time and got one around the corner. The line was quite long to order. My husband and I decided to divide and conquer- one orders whilst the other gets a table indoors. The young girl at the register was very nice and greeted me with a big smile. She helped me place two kids meals and two burgers (farm grill and 4b). Food came out not too long after. Kids smashed through their meals - yayyy! Husband and I loved the burgers. The meat was well seasoned and it didn't require sauces to make the burger edible like other places. Bathrooms were outside but were clean and had a change table for babies. Ordered the Nashville chicken. It didn't seem to know what it wanted to be. I didn't taste the chicken, or the sauce. And while I felt the peppers, I didn't really taste them. The chicken was a substantial piece. If you blindfolded me and had me take a bite, I couldn't have told you what I was eating. I might have guessed something with chili powder. The bun was oily for no reason. Fries were cold, but when I commented on it, they replaced them with fresh/hot fries. Service was very good. This was new for me. I usually get the BBQ plate, but I wanted to do something new. I would not recommend the Nashville chicken sandwich. And, as my previous review, even their BBQ isn't as good as it once was. I've come here occasionally for years, and it seems their quality is going down. At least that's what I think. They're still wildly popular, based on the crowd. read more

I have been to this restaurant so many times I've lost count. I've always tried to get something different and this time I got the Bacon BBQ Bleu cheeseburger and a side of their onion rings. The onion rings never, I mean NEVER disappoint and they did not this time. The homemade ranch is amazing. The burger was good don't get me wrong, but the description has bleu cheese and there was 1 dime size dollop on it. I was a little bummed. Joe's Farm Grill is one of my favorite local places to eat at and definitely someplace I bring out of towners too. It's a great place to get food, milkshakes and desserts and then walk around after! The long line might be a bit intimidating but I promise it goes faster than it looks. I recommend going on a week day if you don't want to wait that long or even ordering online! My favorite thing to get here is the Waffles + Ribs. Hear me out - the ribs on top of the waffles just makes the waffles even softer and so flavorful because of the bbq sauce. I was prompt and order the Chili Cheese Fries, 2 Farm Burgers, one with Gouda cheese & Asian Slaw as a side, the other with the ghost hot pepper jack & Caesar salad. Also had a full order of Baby Back Ribs with house salad and fruit (yeah, I was trying to balance it all with the fruit :-)). Unfortunately, I wanted to place an order for the Cookies, but was told they wouldn't be available until later in the day as the ovens were loaded with Cheesecakes. Chili Cheese fries were as expected. Ribs were good and sauced well. The hot pepper jack cheese was spicy as advertised but the feedback on both burgers were they needed some more seasoning on the patty. The staff was bringing out orders quickly and refilling drinks. Clearing the tables is a priority, but no matter how fast the staff moves, the birds always get to it with the quickness... Stopped by around 7:45 p.m. -- there was no wait. The place was empty and quiet, and we could sit anywhere we wanted. The BBQ combo platter was a great value, and we'd definitely order it again. Meat quality seemed good. I don't eat bacon so I gave that to my friend. For a garlic burger, it wasn't garlicky enough. The gouda cheese wasn't melted at all. I asked if they had garlic aioli. They misheard and brought out garlic oil. The burger would taste so much better with garlic aioli! Also needed more onions too. The garlic fries were good though. My friend liked her pulled pork sandwich but said it needed more bbq sauce. She ended up asking for extra. My other friend said one of her waffles was a bit undercooked but they remade her another! Been going to Joe's Farm Grill for about 15+ years now and have ordered many of the items on the menu over the years. They are always consistent. I don't think I've ever had anything that I didn't like from Joe's and the atmosphere and staff are always great. I usually just get a farm burger, but the chicken, BBQ, pizza, fries, milkshakes, and breakfast, all tasty. At times the line can be long, but it's usually walk in and order. They bring your food out to you using a precise geo tracking device, so sit wherever, big brother Joe will find you. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Gilbert! This is a very quaint restaurant with cottage/farm/family vibes. Outside, there are plenty of places to take pictures featuring gardens and white picket fences. I like getting their ahi tuna burger, which comes with an ample serving of fries. Ahi tuna sandwich with fries and a separate aide order of beet salad were today's delectable order to make my day and I'm so happy to have lots leftovers for dinner later! I've been here twice now. The first time was better. I ordered the huevos de farm grill. They were watery and flavorless. They looked as unappealing as they actually were. Looked like watery green slop. My husband ordered the smothered pork tenderloin and eggs. The eggs were ok but the tenderloin was super thick and tough. The Apple Fritters are really good though. The whole reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. This place was "highly recommended". I think it's highly overrated. I will say that the employees are amazing. The service is good. Very friendly staff. The overall atmosphere is chaotic. But that is to be expected because they are always more or less crazy busy. I think they must have a "cult following" because the food is mediocre at best and some entrees are downright horrible. I definitely don't recommend eating here. There are so many great places in the valley, this place gets a little pricey only to get a disappointing meal. read more

When I first moved to Gilbert for years ago, Joe's Farm Grill was great. We've gradually stopped coming to Joe's as frequently in the last year. There's always something wrong. The burgers always taste like the grill has never been cleaned. If you love the taste of char, this is the place for you. They state that their burgers are cook with a bit of pink in the middle but I haven't found that to be the case in quite a while. They're usually medium well to well done. We went to pick up something for breakfast a couple months ago and came back to find a vendor's truck parked behind us and we had to wait until he was finished with his delivery before we could leave. This last time I ordered garlic fries with my to go order and received plain fries. These experiences just further solidify my desire to just eat somewhere else and save myself the headache and frustration, which is sad because I love their fried zucchini. read more

We were surprised to find the lunch menu different from what's posted online. Several regular items were unavailable, including the Roasted Vegetable Omelet my wife always orders. We both went with the Traditional Scramble (advertised as 3 eggs + meat). My plate came with potatoes despite requesting none, and the scrambled eggs looked and felt like 2 eggs at most. After sending it back, I waited quite a while--my wife was nearly finished eating before my replacement arrived. The second plate (eggs and bacon) was fine, but by then my confidence was already low. Even my wife's scramble didn't seem like a full 3-egg portion. Bottom line: the menu didn't match the website, and the "3-egg" scramble clearly wasn't 3 eggs.
