My husband and I recently dined at Joey's and really enjoyed the experience. He had noticed their beautiful, historic building while driving by and then looked them up and wanted to go check them out. We were in mid Saturday afternoon on a very nice day so not unexpectedly they were not very busy. We ordered one of the combo pizzas and large house salad. The salad was a very pleasant surprise, every single ingredient was super fresh and crisp. Salad was loaded with tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, beans and mushrooms ~ and large enough to provide a decent salad for two. To make it even better their house made Ranch dressing is a real winner! I always appreciate a nice salad as so often restaurants treat a "side salad" as an afterthought. The pizza did not disappoint either. Their old style crust is a treat. They use minimal sauce but that keeps the crust crisp so I didn't mind, might order a little side of marinara next time but not at all necessary. All the ingredients on the pizza were top notch, really like their Italian sausage. Very very respectable pizza. Our server was a delight, proving prompt and courteous service and they weren't busy so we were able to enjoy a bit of cheerful conversation as well. Very homey atmosphere with just an overall good vibe. Whether you've never been to Joey's or if you haven't been in awhile I urge you to go get a pie! We'll be back. read more

Speechless. We came in at about 10:06pm, immediately quick to offer us a table as it was toward the end of the business day. We had a party of 6 total and the service was incredible. Answered all our questions, quick with our order. Of course food took a bit a min to come as all their ingredients are fresh. Soon as the food came out, absolutely zero complaints. I got the small Mendo Madness pizza; meat was delicious and dough had that fire crunch and very doughy. Our server Octavio had a very affectionate attitude and very friendly. Climbed up old stairs with gout and didn't trip. Was welcomed right away. Ambience was warm and quiet. It was just us. They let us use the TV, however one of the workers was already watching Power Rangers so I decided to just watch my favorite childhood show too. Had a nice chat with him about Power Rangers and friendly banter with the server. The food was delicious even though I only had one slice due of their gout friendly options (Pesto Augustus 9/10). Came here for a late dinner. What an interesting place! It's in the top floor of an old Victorian house. There weren't a whole lot of people there that night. We went into a back room that was dark (needed more light). Weird glare-y overhead light. Two people were playing some kind of board game in this area, but no one else but us were there. Interesting spooky old house vibe. We each had a slice of the Joey's Original Pizza and a house salad. The pizza was pretty good-sized, and was pretty tasty. The crust was tasty, and chewy. The house salads were a bit lacking in freshness. The lettuce was pretty wilty. Good toppings on it though (olives, mushrooms, cucumber, tomatoes). The times I've had Joey's have been on one of those fun nights having drink with coworkers and it's usually hot wings and fries which were great. But this time I was tired didn't feel like cooking dinner and the reviews looked at pretty damn good so I ordered the pastrami sandwich in the description it said it has massive amounts of pastrami well let me tell you now that's a lie they need to change the name. The flavor of the sandwich was great the bread was great but the portion of pastrami was barely that. I felt a little cheated I felt a little disappointed I only gave it a three because the sandwich was still good but just very very disappointing in the portion size. I've always passed by this place but never gave it much thought. However I got to finally try it last night and wow! I wish I had tried this sooner. It's such a quaint little pizza shop! It feels like you literally walked into someone's home. The woman who took our order was so sweet and bubbly! The pizza itself was ah-ma-zing! The Big Joey had mushroom, sausage, salami and pepperoni. So good! Perfect amount of cheese and the breading was so soft and chewy. But by far I think my overall favorite was the Suzy's Hot Potato. I'd never had potato on my pizza before but now I think I'm gonna get it all the time! The potatoes were so soft and paired so well with the cheeses and bacon bits. So delicious! I didn't know this place existed until yesterday when I wanted to order pizza from DoorDash. I don't super like the pizza parlors in my side of town and I saw "Joey's," and I thought, "Well it can't get any worse than what I know. So I ordered. Bad news first: The mozzarella sticks are a hard no. Good news: Everything on the pizza I had ordered tasted so fresh and wonderful. The mushrooms, the bell pepper, the salami, even the black olives. The cheese ratio was on point. The pizza crust was to perfection. And keep, in mind, this is delivery, so I give excuses for that. But if that pizza could taste that could by delivery, I can only imagine how it tastes in house. Well well well... today while having a beer at the 440. We as a group decided to order joeys pizza. It was about 3:40 or so pm. We were told by the young lady that it would be 45-60 minutes. Took about 40 minutes. It was walked over by an employee. Pizza was dropped and the pizza was turned on its side. And the pizza was smashed and a it was combo and pepperoni. Resembled a calzone but bigger. I called to speak about the pizza condition. I was told that they needed the pizza back in whole condition. I explained that we were hungry is why we ordered the pizza in the first place. So we picked it apart best we could to attempt it to satisfy our hunger. The bottom line is that customer service is imperative in this day and age with the cost of things. Where were right. Has no one told you about this place yet? It's great. Beautiful and spacious Victorian setting heavy with the dark varnished woods, relatively quiet and close enough to a dive if you want cocktails. This place serves the finest pizza one the Ave, and quite possibly all of Santa Rosa. I just learned they make their slices to order, so you basically get a personal pizza, a sweet little triangle. I've always liked trying new restaurants in town and I don't know why I've never tried Joeys pizza. I went during a busy hour and I got to see all the chaotic stuff but all the employees never took it out on the customers. The employees were so great And made my time there, enjoyable. The pizza was amazing and the cheesecake wasbomb.com. I didn't know what to get so Miranda recommended me a half-and-half. She also recommended me the apple cheesecake. Please if you don't know what to get ask Miranda, or the chef in the back. And what makes it even better is that it's a historical building so you can feel the ambience. Ordered the Irishman, and I must admit the flavor was really good. I showed up early to pick up the pizza and was told kindly my first pizza was a little burnt, so they made a new one. And to my surprise, he came out with two pizzas. One was cooked to perfection, and the other was slightly overcooked. We couldn't get over the beautiful Victorian, probably the living room, where our table was. It was like dining in a rich person's home! The service was perfect. Just the right amount of attention and great recommendations. Two of us split a large Greek salad (delicious) and a small pizza and had two slices to go. I ordered half Prestige and half Kimo's Hawaiian. It's very unfortunate that I didn't check the pizza before leaving. This is one of the best pizzas I ever had. Fresh ingredients and the crust was the right size. I ordered a small the prior day and came in the next day for a large. There large size is bigger than other places. I was a little early for pick up and they told me 5 more minutes. I went back to my car and wait. The young female cashier came outside to my car and let me know my order was ready. No restaurants are going to do something like that. Sharing my recent experience for you to decide if you want to take the risk (they do have good pizza) of ordering to go if you have starving kids and family. Order placed 648pm, arrived at store at 730pm to pick up my order. Lady told me to better wait at the bar downstairs because it is going to take a while...lol... i asked why my order wasn't ready, she just replied cause we're busy. Awesome service! Cancelled my order, she tore up my paper and threw it in the trash. Inquired about my refund (she didnt even know i prepaid it), then the owner went out and told me it'll be 2-4 business days. We will see! Owner seems cool but def he needs to hire better help (lady needs a lot manners). You get what you pay for. Just something for you folks to think about. read more

I ordered a pizza Sunday afternoon for delivery. To look online again to see when my delivery time would be. There was none, I called the restaurant told him what I ordered and what was going on. They proceeded to tell me oh, your order will be ready at 5 o'clock and be there. It's 2:30 in the afternoon, I proceeded to ask him if I could come in and pick it up. They told me sure be ready in about 15 minutes or so. When and picked up my pizza, they refused to refund me my delivery fee that I paid them. If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered from DoorDash at 745pm. Ordered pesto penne. Spaghetti and meatball. Garlic cheese sticks. A caramel brownie cheesecake and a plain cheesecake. Original delivery time was for before 9pm. Kept checking the app. And found that my first dasher was there waiting 20 minutes. Then a second dasher got there and waited another 20 minutes. And told me the order was still not done yet. Then I got a third dasher at 920 and she even said the order wasn't ready yet. She stayed until it was ready. She kept in contact with me which was awesome. She got the order at 950. I walked in the door with my order at 10pm. When I ordered it at 745pm!! It baffles me that it would take that long to get an order cooked. Shouldn't be that hard. ??? Wrong! When I opened the bags. I was VERY disappointed. Looks like I have to either share my husband's pasta or starve. I never received half my order. Over 2 hours and they couldn't make the order correctly?! No pesto pasta for me. Also we never received both cheesecakes!! That made my husband a little upset. But we did get a salad we didn't order. We shared the garlic cheese sticks. Nothing to rave about. And his spaghetti. We both had one bite and was like um this has a weird taste. He had one more bite. And then just ate the bread. I didn't eat another bite. It wasn't very good at all. I ate the salad I didn't order.
