I recently visited with friends. We were a party of five that were seated right away on a Saturday night around 6 pm. The server was very friendly and brought us our waters and drinks right away. The food was delicious and hot. The hubby and I had chicken parmesan with a side of spaghetti. The chicken parm was delicious with lots of cheese. One friend had the lasagna and another had the short rib ravioli and one had the eggplant parmesan. The food portions are good and it's the right ratio of cheese and tomato sauce. The garlic bread is soft and doughy but could have used more garlic and a tad more oil. Everyone loved their food. What was even more amazing was that the cost was extremely reasonable for 5 people. This is definitely a great place to bring your family. One thing though, the atmosphere is there but it could use better attention to neatness. It is a very busy place with a lot of people coming in for takeout and because of the setup they have to walk through the middle of the dining area to pick up their food. They were tracking in water on a rainy night. that said, I would still recommend John the Baker, but I would request seating away from the front door if available. Buon appetit! read more

I went to the one in Pembroke Pines a while back before Covid and it was good. The bacon pizza had too much bacon so it was salty and not pleasant. Bacon is nice but if it too much and salty its just not good. The other pizzas were good. Comparing the sizes and prices this is better and you get more for the price compared to Papa Johns. I came on here to let y'all know that on apple maps the Davie location doesn't show. Also, on uber eats and Postmates the Pembroke Pines location is not available for pick up only a Davie location which is like 5 more miles away. I would like for you guys to fix this because it's inconvenient and can cause people to just order somewhere else even though you have a closer location to my area ( which is like 1 mile away) I want to order a bunch of garlic rolls. Pick up is not available on the slice app from the website. Order was said to not be available by phone but at least have pickup on the app. Thank you guys. Im just gonna go there and order the rolls bc it doesn't take long but other wise for things like pizza it wouldn't be convenient to stop by to order instead of on the app. read more

Man I hate to write this as I loved this place but for the last year the quality of the food has taken a dump. Ordered my usual half pepperoni half cheese pizza pizza didn't taste fresh and 1/2 dozen garlic rolls. The pizza crunchy and the cheese was burnt. there were literally 2-3 tiny shriveled pepperonis per slice. AND THE ROLLS... burnt on one side and soggy on the other!! Sooo disappointed. read more

Good food, good prices, nice staff! The garlic rolls are great (be sure to ask for extra garlic for your pizza, it's so good!). Pizza is tasty, with a thin crust and great sauce. We ordered the penne with pink sauce and it was good, not the best I've ever had but good! It honestly came out sooo hot from the kitchen it seemed too watery but after it cooled down a bit it the consistency of the sauce was much better and tasted better. The cannolis are fresh and really delicious! I appreciate any place that freshly fills the cookies with cream rather than letting them get soggy and squishy. I had only eaten here via takeout for about 6 months. Then I walked in the Coral Springs Holiday parade, which passes directly in front of John the Baker. It started to pour & we were starving so we found shelter & food here, thank you baby Jesus. They were closing & it was pouring. They so generously let my children & I wait inside while my Husband ran a half a mile to our car. They were super sweet to my children. All Moms know that this really pulls at your heart strings & makes you like someone more. So, we really love John the Baker -- on my levels. Good food is awesome. We returned on Tuesday, pizza special pepperoni, onion, mushrooms, cooked well and it was absolutely delicious. We asked for extra garlic on the rolls cooked to perfection (took a dozen home). I've been coming to John the Baker for years with my family, since they were located on Stirling road in the Coldstone plaza, so this really disappoints me to write. I came here with my friends, one of whom is Black. Let me say, our order took longer than ever to be taken. We saw waiters purposely ignoring us. We were gawked at, like we had words written on our foreheads. There were tables seated after us who had already received drinks and ordered before we did. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food they served. Four of us went to dinner after a movie. Our veggie pizza had a handmade thin crispy crust with lots of toppings. The Caesar salad had an excellent homemade dressing with lots of shaved Parmigiano and fresh croutons on top. We also tried Eggplant pizza and Eggplant Parmesean. Both were excellent. This Saturday night was very busy. They had 2 large family parties plus the other smaller tables were full. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress Brooke was the best. She was very attentive and kept us updated on the status of our order, which was delayed due to the crowd. We were treated to wonderful garlic rolls while we waited. We met John, the owner, who spent time at our table discussing his family owned and operated Italian Restaurant. Last but not least, we enjoyed the Tirimesu that John had made earlier today. It was outstanding. Everyone agreed it was the best we've ever tasted. We recommend it highly and can't wait to go back. read more

John the Baker makes a great sauce, a great crust, the place has very little wait time, the prices a great, and you get to sit down quietly and eat your delicious pizza. I haven't been here in maybe over 6 years. It was really busy dinner time on Sunday night, and I was happy to see this place thriving! Also elated to actually see servers' & staff smiling faces! No masks, love it!!! Automatically deserve 5 stars just for that alone. Every member of the staff was running all around and doing so much, since it was so busy but honestly I loved the vibe and atmosphere. Very cozy family vibe and everyone seemed to get along great. The food was delicious and I ended up eating more than I thought I would! Our server, Dylan, was awesome handling us and his other tables. I definitely need to come back here more often from now on! After not being here for a long time we recently started ordering their pizza and rolls again. So happy to find that the pizza is delicious! They use homemade sausage on their pizza and it has the perfect balance of seasonings. The sauce was on point, not sweet at all, thank goodness, and the mozzarella cheese was nice and gooey and melted to perfection. The garlic rolls are the best around, crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Just enough garlic on it but not too overpowering. This is probably my Favorite pizza! If you are going for a New York style pizza this is your place. John's pizzas are out of this world delicious. I remember having his pizza when I was a child and I am happy to see he has finally opened his own place. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with oregano, red pepper, and parmesan on the side. I like all the fixin's. The pizza pretty much melts in your mouth and makes your heart start to warm up. If you break the crust and smell it before you bite in you will not be disappointed. So if you need a pizza fix this is the place to go. Another must try is the garlic rolls, which are just as good. If you miss out on these then you have missed half the experience. The garlic rolls are drowned in oil and garlic, which is just the way I like them. They are crisp on the outside and soft in the inside. We ordered a lot because they are still good when you take them home. Finally, we arrived pretty late in the evening but service was still prompt. What a wonderful pizza shop! My family and I regularly visit this plaza and decided to stop in and try the food here. First I loved that they had a car seat holder for my newborns car seat, my toddler and newborn were both comfortable at the table. Our waitress was nice but seemed really inexperienced, which is no biggie we totally understand people have good/bad days. Food: we ordered a mini pizza, meat lovers, it came to the table and was full of oil and had no real distinct flavor. Also ordered chicken tenders for my daughter, then 10min later the waitress returned to tell me they had none left, so I ordered my daughter ravioli's, 4 big plain flavorless raviolis arrived drowned in sauce, again no flavor to the sauce. We finally ordered an eggplant parm sub, barley any eggplant, smothered in flavorless sauce with melted cheese on top. I have to admit I didn't have the highest expectations but I didn't expect the food to be gross. The reviews are misleading I would say try this place yourself to really decide or don't waste your money at all. read more

I didn't care much for the meatballs here but I'm super picky with meatballs since I had an Italian family invite me over all the time for dinner in NJ.
