Probably won't order for delivery from them anytime soon. Yes they do have the best vodka sauce but they don't like to take responsibility for their orders they got wrong. We've ordered and delivered several times before but in the last week they've messed up twice. Rather than just send over the missing food that was paid for they rather have us wait an hour for the next delivery or credit us back what we didn't get. Ok done but what they offered to credit back was short a few cents when it hit the account. How petty. Also ordered a side of sauce for my sandwich and what do you know? It wasn't with my order! We avoided this place a few years back because of a bad experience we had but decided to try it again because of all the rave reviews in town. It was better than it was before but tonight brought all the bad memories back. We decided to have take out dinner and I ordered pasta with chicken. At first it was fine. But then I started getting hints of a sour, just spoiled taste in my mouth. I thought maybe it might have been from the grill marks on the chicken but when I kept chewing something told me to spit out the rest. I thought for a second and gave it another try but yet again chicken tasted off but this time I didn't catch it in time and I swallowed the chicken. I told my kid's father and he said that he has the same chicken and if I was sure. So I gave it a third try and I stopped eating it. I hate to waste food but I had to throw it out. The wife feels like a burger, and so I search Yelp for best burgers in the area. Johnny was one of the listed. I was suspicious because it also serves pizzas and Italian entrees. Then, some of the pictures of reviews looked good. Boy, are we glad to have tried this place. Wife ordered the Jersey Burger, which is topped with cheese, Taylor Ham, and a fried egg. She wanted medium rare and it came cooked perfectly. The Brioche is a perfect size for the 1/2 pound patty. After all, we wanted to taste the beef, not bread. We always share our dishes, and since she ordered a burger I went with the Philly Cheesesteak. One bite and I thought of Pat's in Philly. It's spot on as the original. Perhaps, even better since it has more meat. We also ordered a side of meatballs. They were really good. Lots of beefy taste. Not loaded with breadcrumbs. When we return for our next visit we will try the entrees and salads. The staff were very good attentive even though it is a fast casual establishment. Clienteles were young (must be because it is close to Kean U) and families. TV's were tuned to sports. It's a comfortable environment. I brought my family into the restaurant about a month ago for dinner (our first time). We really enjoyed the dishes, Penne al vodka with grill chicken and Penne Alfredo with chicken, chicken fingers for the kids. I visited a couple time just to grab a slice for lunch in the following weeks. Since we were in the mood for the same dishes and not within the delivery area we ordered for pickup. The first thing we notice was that the portion size of both entrée were much smaller then dinning in. My wife's chicken was very tough and was not chewable. Stumbled upon this restaurant while working out in the area, and I have to admit the pizza here is delicious! Their prices are great, and the seating area is clean and sanitary. I had a buffalo chicken roll and a grandma slice which filled me up plenty. Overall Johnny napkins has great pizza at a great price! The food at this place is absolutely amazing and deserves 5 stars without a doubt, but the customer service is terrible which is the reason for the 1 star review. If you order something that they do not have, they either send you nothing or they send whatever they choose as a replacement. I once ordered the rice ball parm appetizer and when my delivery arrived, I had mozz sticks instead. The same has happened on numerous occasions with fries, a buffalo roll, and other menu items. Instead of calling and letting you know that they don't have something they just make a decision for you. Also, they apparently "don't deliver after 830pm" when they close at 10, even when you're house is less than 5 minutes away. It seems like there is just always an excuse for them to not deliver after 8pm. The ONLY thing that keeps me coming back is the quality of the food, but the customer service is what deserves 1 star. read more

I went to Johnny Napkin's today to pick up some pizza to share with my wife for lunch. I was very impressed with their full attention to good protocol in dealing with the Corona virus. All the employees were wearing good masks. There was a plastic shield to protect the employees. Also, there was a bottle of disinfectant near the register, available for your use. I called to place an order and I literally waited 30 mins on the phone when they put me on hold.. and after placing the order it took them 2 hrs for the food to be deliver to the house.. I called them in 2 occasions to ask about the order and all they continue to do was give excuses after excuses... when the food arrived It was freaking cold I definitely won't be ordering from this place ever again read more
